Click to collapse
Power down, remove and reinsert your SIM, power up... Go to your Mobile Network settings and make sure CDMA/LTE or Global is set.
hi! i have found similar threads, but they did not help me solve the problem, so here i am, writing a new one sorry guys. also sorry for my bad english, it is not my primary language..
i have an htc desire X which has a damage only on the outside display, the touch screen worked perfectly. then, all of the sudden the phone kept restarting, freezing for few seconds on the HTC welcome screen, then turning off again. it did that for about few hours then died completely, battery wouldn't charge either. on charge, red light on, no sign of life.
i have bought a new battery, and the phone turned on and did the same again, restarting every few seconds. i have pushed the low volume button + start combination, to have it go to the bootloader menu. since then it is frozen on that menu, stuck there. no buttons would work. they do work to get to the menu, but on bootloader not anymore.
i am a newbie, i dont know what to do, except for the fact that i have all contacts still in the internal storage and i was hoping to save them to an external disk/pc/microsd.
when i restarted the phone, the sim and the microsd were already out.
connecting the usb cable to the pc doesnt bring me anywhere either, my pc says "device not recognized" then it doesnt see any device.
please help me to get my data out somehow:crying:
little update:
this morning the "smart"-phone is not stuck anymore, i was able to get to the bootloader and select recovery, BUT unfortunately any attempt to push the on button to confirm it went wrong, phone keeps just restarting or freezes again on HTC welcome screen. any idea?
I started receiving this today. When I click "OK" the message bounces back up almost immediately, like a spam.
If I wait for 10-15 minutes and then press "OK" button, then I have maybe 5 seconds time window until message appears again.
Same happens when I click "Try to solve".
Earlier today I had a notification something like "Youtube app might harm your phone".
I tried restarting and plugging out battery, didn't help.
I didn't really bother with that since I own Lenovo k3 note with factory settings and I had adware for a long time. So I thought that was just a missinformation.
P.S. I'm not sure what exactly version of Android is currently installed on my phone and now I can't really check either...
Lenovo phone, says it all. Unfortunately Youtube is a system file on Lenovo so when it hangs you cannot access anything else.
Remove the battery and leave alone for roughly 5 minutes, this lets any caps to discharge so the phone has to restart from boot.
try starting the phone again, if this doesn't work, try doing a factory reset.

I've had my Tab S6 now for 2 years and was using it just fine during the day. It was connected to my laptop to charge while I worked.
Around 75% charge, I took out the charge cable, turned on the screen and then opened the YouTube App.
As the YouTube App was opening, the tablet crashed. The screen froze for about 3 seconds and then went completely dark - similar to a hard reset.
The Samsung logo appeared with the standard "powered by android message" and just sat there for minutes.
The screen went off again and now the tablet is not responding at all to the power button or volume button.
I've tried a holding the power button and volume down button for 12 seconds to no avail.
I've tried charging it using its power brick and didn't get any response vibration or screen turning on. It just stays blank and unresponsive.
I've also held the power button for 2 minutes to no avail as well.
This is completely out of the blue and I'm at my wits end as to what is happening.
I've noticed there are 2 other complaints in the Q&A section just in the month of February 2023 concerning crashing Tab S6s that also became unresponsive.
What's going on? Any help would be appreciated.
UPDATE
I plugged it in to my Windows laptop using a USB-C data cable and checked Device Manager for any feedback.
The device connects and disconnects itself from the PC every 30 seconds.
When it does connect it shows up in Device Manager as "Unknown USB device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)".
