Hello,
So, when you plug the phone to the USB port, you are able to charge the device and the notification light is on.
In this case, if you press the Power button, you should see something on the screen: A green battery and a percentage.
Is it what you see?
Now, you can try 3 methods to boot:
1) Normal boot: Press and hold the Power button until you feel vibrations.
Now, release the Power button.
What do you see on the screen?
You should see the Mi logo containing the text "powered by android" and a progression bar.
2) Fastboot mode boot: Press and hold the Decrease volume button until you feel vibrations.
Now, release the Power button.
What do you see on the screen?
You should see the Fastboot logo containing the text "FASTBOOT".
3) Recovery mode boot: Press and hold the Increase volume button until you feel vibrations.
Now, release the Power button.
What do you see on the screen?
You should see the Mi Recovery menu with 3 items: Reboot, Wipe Data and Connect With MIAssistant.
If the method 1) is not working but the method 3) is working, you can Wipe Data so it will reset the phone.
Warning: You will lose your data on the phone!
Good luck.
Best regards.

Hi. I encountered the same issue today. I fixed it by removing a back panel from phone and re-plugging a battery. After that, I was able to boot to fastboot mode

I also have the same issue. I tried re-plugging the battery. Unfortunately it didn't solve the problem for me. Just to be sure, did see the MIUI logo or did you have a completely black screen before solving the issue. In my case I can't see anything. Only the vibration and the led.

Blinking Orange light is means that your battery is fully dead.
Wait until it STOPS blinking than only you will knw whether it is booting or not.

Ok, thanks for help, but i kept it on charging for almost 24 hrs but still it kept on blinking its my fone battery is dead ?
When you got the message " waiting for device" were you in fastboot? This message can happen when your phone is in the main bootloader window instead of being in the fastboot menu, you will need to press the power button once to get it to fastboot before this message will go away.
Try charging it with the wall socket and not the computer also, hold down the power button and volume down button for as long as it takes to get to the bootloader screen. I hope this helps

Battery pull button incase of Crash or bootloop

Hi Guys,
anyone know if there is a reset button/battery pull simulation button on Redmi 3?, just wondering what to do if on the worst day i need to do some kind of battery pull when the OS crashes/bootloop.
Power on + Volume up. When screen on release both then press multiple times volume up button. Enter than you will know how to do!
Blue button / line = shutdown

Just Press "Download" to start flash with MiFlash or do something more with English by press the title next to "Download"
For crashes, press power button 10+ seconds and it reboots. (Works in every ARM Android device i've tested.)
EDIT: I lost all my data since the phone was encrypted, but I recovered it flashing in fastboot mode
My Redmi 3 pro is stuck in a bootloader after trying to root it for the first time.
power off doesn't do anything.
power and volume up doesn't do anything
power and volume down shows a Fastboot logo with a cartoon, but I don't know what to do here and if it is useful.
After 1-2 minutes in fastboot logo it starts again in bootloop.
I think soon the battery will drain and the phone switch off
I really don't know what to do

Yeah, thank you.
I eventually managed to force shut down the device holding power and volum up, down the three togheter for long time.
Then I flashed Miu again and rooted.
Now I can't manage to encrypt, so still not satisfied

Help.! Hard Bricked after restore of NANDROID backup...!!!

I accidentally restore a backup (of my previous Z2 which was on my sd card through TWRP) on my Z2 on Exsistenz LP ROM yesterday. After that phone wont boot. Battery was .70% at the time of death. Red blinking led is seen when connected to usb cable. POWER + VOL UP doesn't give 3 vibes as intended, in fact nothing. Neither red hard reset button(Tried pressing it for >3mins). Cannot enter flash mode or fast boot modes .(tried to flash stock ROM through flash tool-failed). Only red blinking LED appears when usb cable connected.
Wierd to found when I press hard reset button while pressing POWER button it gives 3 vibes. But nothing changed.
Tried "pressing and holding all 3 buttons (power, vol+and vol-) all at the same time till it vibrates once then let go of the power button and vol+ but keep holding vol - while plugging in the usb cable this MiGHT boot your phone into flash mode" But didn't vibrate while holding all 3 buttons.
Its out of warranty period as well.
Please help me to recover to recover??? :crying:

Something similar happened to me recently...wonder if this is a bug in a new release or something
This is what I did.
If you can't turn off phone, turn it off using the hard reset button http://sony-xperia.mobi/eng/sony-xperia-z2/231-how-to-do-a-hard-reset-and-reboot-a-sony-xperia-z2-physical-hard-reset-button-sony-xperia-z2.html
There's a really good guide on bricked z2 somewhere on xda but I can't find it anymore . What it said was useflashtools and flash and old ftf e.g. 4.4.4 or 4.4.2 and make sure to wipe apps_log and user_data in settings.

If you restored another XZ2 with LOCKED BOOTLOADER's backup you probably killed your phone.
Was your bootloader unlocked?
Restoring anothers TA partition kills your device because drm keys are uniq

[Help] Le Max 2 not booting anymore

Hi,
after a Rom update (LIONAGEOS) my LeMax2 was boot-looping in Fastboot mode. I was able to switch to TWRP recovery, however OTP storage was not mountable. Back in fastboot I pressed power + Vol up and Vol down. Since then phone would not reboot at all. No activity when connecting to USB cable, nothing. Any idea if there is a chance to wake up the phone back to live?
Thanskd for any advice.

Hi rompip,
Can you reboot the terminal in fastboot mode : "vol -" and "power" for 5-10 sec ?
Do you have battery ?
When you plug it in charge, does it work ?
Best regards.
Max.
Keep in mind that if your phone goes by itself in the QDLoader mode, it’s better to try some combinations below:
1) Keep the power button pressed for about 2 minutes, or
2) Keep the power button + Vol up pressed for about 2 minutes, or
3) Keep the power button while connecting the phone to a wall charger, or
4) Bring the phone into a bright light and press the power button (or power button + Vol up) for about 2 minutes, or
5) Keep the phone charging for more than 24 hours and repeat all the steps above.

Hi AhmadSant,
thanks, long Power pressing (approx. 1 minute) worked for me!!! Do you have any advice how to get rid of the Fastboot bootloop? I can enter into recovery, would I need to perform a full wipe?
Thanks again for your assistance.

I think that the easy way to get rid of all that problem is to unbrick it and go back to stock ROM. Here

Question How to save a black brick

I tried to root my phone by magisk.
After flashing a patched boot.img, it's failed to boot into system and I got a message that "the device need factory reset". I clicked yes and everything seems ok,I can boot into system. Then I tried to flash img again. So I boot into bootloader. Unfortunately, this time I got a black screen. The phone doesn't response me anymore.
I tried the software repair in xperia companion but It cannot dected my phone when I hold on volume down and plugged in it. I also tried hold on volume up + power but nothing happened. Hold on power key also no response. The led light always black, only become red when I connect it to my pc.
What should I so now and what's my phone's status? I searched something about 9008 mode and edl but I don't know how to check whether my phone is really turn into that status, my pc cannot dect my phone.
Have the same problem, only with the 5 iii instead. Still looking for a fix.
Try to switch the phone off; then just plug it into your PC without holding the Vol- key. It has happenned a couple of times with me that the phone does not want to boot up, with attempts to get it into FLASH mode by holding the key down throwing more confusion into the mix.
I think there is a low battery protection. Make sure the phone is charged up. Keeps the device from death during a flash.
Red led mean a very low battery. Keep it plugged (not to PC but to power adapter) for 2-3 hours and then try again a force reset.
Never, never try flash or other stuff under 50% battery
Also force restart is keep pressed vol+ and power button (or vol- and power button) till you fell a vibration.
Try this after a good charge

It might require experimenting with service modes and different chargers. I had an early Xperia 1 III that bootlooped while charging after setting up the fingerprint reader. It seems that charging is disabled during booting. It has to finish or enter a service/fault mode.
my phone is having this after doing fastboot --slot=b reboot recovery (which actually I had to do fastboot --set-slot=b and then fastboot reboot recovery). the notification light blinks red. have tried vol up + power, vol down + power, and vol up + down + power for like 30 seconds and nothing

I feel sorry for you brother...such a nice device...OK let's talk what happened, the state now your device is in is called hardbrick and it had a corrupted bootloader or no boot loader, but your device is still alive, in your PC in device manager it lists as Qs USB mode with some number after it like qsusb9008...now this device can only be brought to life with the help of a blankflash file which can flash your boot loader in snapdragon service mode...actually no snapdragon can be hardbricked permanently now you need appropriate blankflash file for your device.. Please don't open the device if some repairmen suggests to do JTAG nothing is necessary all you need is blankflash file which is shared to only Sony testers groups.... Who tests ROMs before release and they hardbrick so they share those files to them.... Please don't loose hope....it takes time but certainly it can be bought back to life... And dont try any flashing utility as there is no functional boot loader on it now and nothing will work...Sony won't provide that for sure and they will say then can only solve by mother board replacement ,don't believe therm your device is perfect it only needs blankflash file as it entered into final safe mode... I ain't regular on XDA if you need any info contact me via my mail [email protected] g ma I'll .com
Have any of you tried this - https://developer.sony.com/develop/open-devices/get-started/flash-tool/download-flash-tool/
ok in my case it was the charging IC
