All other ROMs aside, it's a fantastic thing when a device gets an Omni ROM release. The first release was unofficial but now that we've gone official, many many congratulations and many many thanks to the dev @CodeZero and to all supporters/contributors! This is indeed an outstanding achievement! :good:
Many congratulations @CodeZero !!
Has anyone tried camera with this ROM? Do you think it's better working than in Lineage OS?
Cheers!
I can not open games in this rom, would it be any configuration? rom clean and everything original.
Congratulations on the job.
Answer: Found problem, had disabled chromium. After reactivated they worked.

Is the camera fully working? Any bug? ?
This ROM is outstanding. Really smooth, fast, and stable. And camera works flawlessly too btw. Props to the dev!
Camera isn't working properly. If you try to do more than one picture the whole phone crashes - independently of the app you use.
I made some "Crashlogs" with the Matlog-App, but I don't know how to get them (where is its save folder?).
Strangely you can make a single photo, restart the app and make another one. Until now I didn't face that green tiles stuff on darker photos.
Also Omnirom has no App2SD functionality which limits the usage very fast (2-500mb/map for Google Maps).

This TWRP worked pretty well for me, managed to do a backup and restore, although I did remove the encryption of my phone with Format Data, so I am not sure if it works well with encrypted phone.
Hope it helps

@CodeZero
Hello,
it'll be possible to fix the camera issue. I love this ROM. Strange is that I can take photos with the APP signal, even several in a row.
@CodeZero,
I have a problem with an app (MediaMarkt app) it crashes in this rom after few seconds. I've attached the log.
Please If you have time fix it. This rom is great, thanks for your work.

Nice bro
Dude, your stock kernel for a40 is BAD. I can't run the phone without lag.......and whenever I lock my phone while listening to music, it studders(I mean the song). The room is really good but the stock kermal is pulling the performance drastically.....
The big core is stuck at 560something frequency and the little core is stuck at 800mhz
Pls fix it, it is my humble request ...?

How about simply waiting for the release when it's ready?
You should be patient and thankful for the dev to provide his work for free on xda regardless of what is working or not.
Asking for eta is not very polite.
Great news! Thanks dude! I'm waiting for the camera support! But this are great news!
Downloading now.... Thanks dude I'm really really grateful for your work, hope everything will be fixed asap! THANKS AGAIN

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Nice rom sir, oh i forgot to give u the log about bt calls ?

Damn, that was fast!
Thx for the work OP!
I will wait for a couple user reports about the usability und potential bugs that maybe were encountered and, if it turns out to be as stable as the last Pie release, I'm guaranteed to flash it
Edit: Is a full wipe recommended, or is a dirty flash enough?
Thx in advance
nice work done there

Super works man . nice and stable enough
Which gapps do you recommend? ?
Been using it for 2 weeks as a daily, camera apps barely work or crash but that's any Los room, fb messenger camera works fine. Besides that it's rock solid! Definitely feels faster than LOS16 but maybe it's just the Android 10 gestures giving neyw placebo. It occasionally stutters, but much less than any other AOSP rom I've tried (LOS16, RR, pixel, etc). Also can't get a wallpaper or boot animation to "stick"

I would recommend OpenGApps and since this is Android 10 there is only Nano and Pico (which I use) available which gives you the bare minimum you need to access Play Store (and the world?)
I just installed without wiping, coming from LOS16, and so far so good (wonderful!). You guys are amazing!
Try installing "Samsung UHD Camera 2 Fix" Magisk module and the latest iDan GCam mod for the camera (Gapps required otherwise Gcam wont open)
Does anyone have any sucess with viper4android?
I dont know if I'm doing something wrong but whenever i install Los 17.1 it does the boot animation but then just goes reboots back into TWRP. Am i missing something or does my s8 just not work right

Just flash the zip file via TWRP, if you don't see the magisk app after rebooting extract the .apk from the zip file and install it as a normal app.

Thanks.
The sound in the bluetooth headset does not work and hbo crashed.
I have now loaded the custom ROM, and it works!!!!!
As a complete noob I had to puzzle some things out, but I got there in the end.
For other noobs. the process was:
1. Download the ROM, TWRP-3.4.0-0, ODIN
2. Copy ROM and GAPPS onto an SD card.
3. Run ODIN on your PC, load TWRP, follow instructions to boot into TWRP
4. Install ROM and GAPPS from SD card using TWRP
5. Boot into new ROM, setup network, Google account, etc
Enjoy!!!
You will find links to TWRP, ODIN with a quick search. Full instructions there.
All seems to working except camera.
Thanks to _mone.
Brilliant
New build: lineage-14.1-20200908-UNOFFICIAL-gtexswifi.zip
Removed some unnecessary blobs and services.
Minor power improvements.
Added sdfat support.
"Advanced Restart -> Reboot to download" now works.
Fixed few issues that came up on the logs.

Hi, and help!
I flashed the new ROM and it worked fine - see posting above yesterday.
Everthing worked fine until I rebooted the tablet.
Now it tells me 'Custom binary blocked by FRP lock' when it tries to boot.
I used ODIN to try to reload TWRP to start again, but that is also now blocked by FRP Lock.
How do I get back to a point where I can start again, and this time get TWRP to wipe everything.
Help!
