Night mode for camera - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions & Answers

Several weeks ago Samsung released Night Mode for the whole Galaxy S10 series. Today they released Night Mode for the Galaxy S9 series. Any chance at all that the Galaxy Note 8 will get it?

It does have it in settings and then display.. On Android Pie though..

Not Night Mode for One UI but rather for the camera.

Sorry don't know about that.

Note 9 hasn't gotten it so I doubt the Note 8 will get it.
I use Gcam for the night mode

TMobile Note 9 got it. Will the Note 8?

Why is not possible?
Because OneUI 2.1 only came out in the last couple of months...
That's like me saying I've been using the Note 20 pro since January...
100% ??

Well I guess the Note 20 is gonna have the same issue like the Note 8 as its released with OneUI 2.5 Android 10 and Samsung has OneUi 3 Android 11 beta out for S20 devices. 1 year of updates is already gone

Pretty sure that's always been Samsung's policy, release with older Android then after a month or 2 roll out the newer version thus using up 1 of the 2 major updates...
Though from the Note 20 they are promising 3 major updates (which in reality is only the 2 major updates we should have had in the first place)...
Exynos 7870 devices has One UI 2.1/Android 10 Port, look: https://www.xda-developers.com/one-ui-2-5-ported-samsung-galaxy-phones-exynos-7870/

This extends to the S10 series as well: https://www.sammobile.com/news/samsung-release-three-android-os-upgrades-galaxy-devices/
this is so boring.... even s8 has ROMS with s10 & s20 ported stuff. Only always N8 is the last and have poor dev support

More Galaxy S21 camera features come to Galaxy S20, Note 20 series

Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 series earlier this year with impressive camera features. Now, the company is rolling out some of those camera-related features to its older high-end smartphones, including the Galaxy S20 series and the Galaxy Note 20 series, via a new software update.
With the new update, which is rolling out in Germany right now, the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, Galaxy S20 Ultra, Galaxy Note 20, and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra have received new camera features. Users can now capture portrait images in low-light conditions, something that was earlier possible only with the Galaxy S21 series. The Night Mode also works with the ultrawide camera.
The company has also added three new effects in the Portrait mode: backdrop, high-key mono, and low-key mono. These studio-like effects let you change the background color to black, white, or a random color that is chosen by the camera app. In Night mode, users can now let the camera choose the exposure or use the maximum possible exposure. Moreover, the ultrawide camera can now be used in the camera’s Pro mode.
For those who were hopeful of getting the Galaxy S21’s Director View on their Galaxy S20 or Galaxy Note 20 series phone, there is some bad news. None of those phones have received the Director’s View feature, most probably because of limitations in the processor’s ISP (image signal processor).
The new software update has firmware version G98xxXXU7DUC7 for the Galaxy S20 series and N98xxXXU1DUC8 for the Galaxy Note 20 series. If you are in Germany, you can check for the update on your Galaxy S20 or Galaxy Note 20 series device by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. The update could roll out to more markets over the next few weeks.

Will the Tab S6 get OneUI 5?

Will the Tab S6 get OneUI 5?
It is such a great tablet. OneUI 5 would make it supergreat.
Unlikely but I won't complain if we get more updates. What's new in 5?
It just feels very fast and fluid on my S22 plus. It is a noticeable difference with the change.
I am afraid not. The Galaxy S10 dosen't have the chance, so the Tab S6 is very likely to stay in OneUI 4.1.1 (Android 12L)
No, the Tab S6 will not get the Android 13 update. It has not been mentioned in any update list by Samsung

I am looking forward to LineageOS for Tab S6. I believe it will save many old devices.

no
Samsung at that time promised 3 years of software updates + 1 year of security updates. S6 started whit android 9 in 2019, so logic dictates no (sadly). Last update (T865XXU5DWC3) might be the last update in general.
