White noise with headset (any type) - Huawei Mate 10 Questions & Answers

Hello, guys,
M10P here running pie with May updates.
I get white noise for any headset i use ( in-ear, earbuds, head mounted). The white noise is apparent on every video or audio app.
Previously I could update headset driver but I can't find it anywhere and also cannot get the white noise go.
Any ideas please?
Thanks

Same here, bluetooth is so crappy that I don't even know if it's interference or something else.

The background noise of vibrant

Hello, did anyone find that the background noise of vibrant is very clear, when using headsets.
If you want to have a test, I think you can do as fellow.
1. Find a quiet environment, plug in your headsets
2. Open music player, turn the volume to 0
3. Play a song, you'll hear the background noise immediately
4. If stop the song, the background noise hold on for several seconds, then disappear.
What's the cause of this? Driver or hardware design? or just software.
So did anyone have some idear for solving this problem?
I have no background noise, try different head phones, maybe they are the problem.
I've heard it with iems in silence, same as what you described.

I use te headset comes from tmobile, factory headset.
Which headset are you using? and also rom and kernel.
I tested in several kernels and roms, all have this question.
It's what you get for listening to crappy MP3's use something better than MP3 preferably lossless

no, noise does not come from mp3. I use musicplayer just to take a example.
the noise comes when the dsp has outputs, and disappears when the dsp has no outputs
I am pretty sure you are hearing hardware static noise from the audio circuit. The sound quality of the headphone amp in the galaxy phones is better than most HTC phones, but sadly still falls short compared to an iPhone and many dedicated mp3 players. The static is even more evident with higher sensitivity headphones like the ultimate ears tripple-fis and the like.
Sent from my SGH-T959
Yeah I hear this also...if you don't hear it you're probably using cheap headphones.

Jawbone Jambox Bluetooth Speaker Problem - No Output

Hello All,
I have just purchased the Jawbone Jambox. Very nice bit of kit and the sound is great.
When I pair with my laptop, it works no problem outputting the sound from Spotify or Movies etc.
When I try and play music from my handset, it just comes out the handsets speakers even though it is paired. The same for games and video.
I have an HTC Desire with Cyanogen 7 installed.
The Jambox has a built in mic and works fine when paired as a hands free setup. I hear the phone ringing from the speakers so that proves it is working.
The Question????????????
I have done a bit of reading and have found some posts talking about on the iPhone, you can set what the phone outputs the sound to. ie. The Jambox rather than the builtin speaker.
I have not been able to find anything like that for the ROM I am using or even mention of it for other Android handsets.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Am I stuck with plugging it in or will another ROM solve the issue.
Thanks for your help in advance.....
Have you tried looking under the settings of the Jawbone Jambox? It should be located under the Bluetooth settings, then options of the Jambox. There should be two types of audio that can be directed. One is Phone audio, and the other is Media audio. Make sure the Media audio box is checked. I own one myself and have had no issues connecting. If all else fails, you might have to try another ROM.
Good luck.

[Q] Surround sound problem?

I have a CT802 Idea USA tablet running Android 4.0.3. It is rooted.
Whenever I try to play a video (using any media player program including but not limited to the built-in one), the audio is weird--the volume is relatively low *and* the voices are almost nonexistent--what I get is almost all music. This is only a problem when I have something connected to the headphone jack--it does not happen with the built-in speaker.
If I plug the jack partly in, it is possible to get it into a position where it plays the sound properly.
My theory is that it's somehow falsely detecting surround sound output (but is not detecting it when I have the jack partly in), and when it does so, I'm only getting the left and right channels. I would like to know:
1) Is there any way I can prove this?
2) Is there some setting buried in some file that I can use to disable surround sound completely?
It turned out that the problem was caused by having earbuds with a built-in microphone. Both of the ones I tried had a microphone. When I bought another pair without a microphone, sound was okay.
It's still a problem, however. How do I keep it from doing this? There are no system settings whatsoever related to microphones, and I have no idea how to disable the microphone or otherwise tell it to treat the earbuds as a normal set of earbuds.

Bluetooth headset for calling?

Hi.
I'm looking for a Sony Bluetooth headset for calling. I usually go to noisy places so the most important thing is noise cancellation (or noise reduction) of the microphone.
I looked for that and I see there're three options:
-SBH52
-SBH70
-SBH80
I haven't used any of that so I don't know about their noise reduction(cancellation) performance.
Can anyone give me some advice or reviews about them?
Thanks.

adjusting volume balance between two speakers

hello..since this part of a forum allows to ask questions not really related to cellphones...i have a problem...one of my stereo system has no function to control sound balance between my two speakers ... is there any way of adjusting speaker balance volume?
one of my speakers happens to be close to my desk and i would like to redirect sound to the other one standing farther in the room..
yet that stereo system i presently use x-hm72 pioneer seems not to have balance function on the body or the remote.
I tried to play local music from usb, so i guess no luck with that..yet when i cast music from my laptop..i hoped that a laptop could manage balancing... and somewhat sound comes out of the box with equal power to box speakers...
so - how to force the system to obey balancing to one speaker?
i know ..i could disconnect the closer speaker when i am near the desk... and connect back when sitting in my armchair... yet that is not the solution i prefer to use
thanks..
