Find X ColorOs 6 - Oppo Find X Questions & Answers

Good News?

I don't know. I don't speak this language

How do you install this version of ColoOS?

Installed it. But it seems only support Chinese. Need Chinese cellphone number to apply. But got approved the same day.

Have you try it???
Is it better then color os 5.2.1?

Overall yes. UI changes quite a bit. Lots of small tweats. Background processes aren't killed aggressively as 5.21. but battery life slightly gets worse.

Donation package options on lollipop

Hi,
I don't think anybody asked this thing, if someone did please forgive me.
First, thank you very much for your work, Greenify is one of the best android app in my opinion.
As Android 5.0 Lollipop came out, options given in the donation package don't work, Xposed is not supported yet. And probably will never be supported on Lollipop.
Are you planning to develop an other app to unlock those features sooner ?
Thank you very much,
Regards,

Good question. I was just going through all my xposed modules and Greenify is the last on my list. I guess it just means that we will have to ungreenify the apps with notifications until a fix is made?

Yup for the moment but the question is, do we have to wait until Xposed is stable on ART or do you plain to make another greenify package in order to unlock those features ?

Not sure, but I just converted to ART today and I'm using the Greenify options that I can and notice no difference. You mileage may vary.

Welcome into a new world ahah.
Yup, battery is draining faster but I think it is also a rom issue.
But for eg. I use Whatsapp once or twice a day but if I greenify it I won't have notification and it's still working in background (3% of battery drain today .....).
So for me those functions are essentials, mileage vary for sure around 1 hours of battery each days !
Anyway, lollipop worth it.

A major update is being worked-in-progress, to bring the most important features out of Xposed. Please stay tuned.

Waiting for it, because greenify maybe one of the most important app to control excess battery draining in almost stock samsung rom (too bloatware)

moderators please delete thread as test is over

I've made a new version of the 70°,75° and 80° thermal mods which I'm hoping will improve battery life without sacrificing performance at all. If you've been running any my original thermal mods and would like to test out the new versions and give me your feedback it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Rob
Just head on over to my original CTT thread to download it
Here's the link to the original thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/thermal-mod-t2907363
Also I just added a new beta 3 version of the 75° mod here's the link

Looks that way. I've only been up since 1 when I woke up with the idea and started working on it I'm really hoping for some good results
Gonna try this!
Later though... planning on doing a total wipe and start from scratch.
It booted up no problem. First boot was no too long, a little less than flashing a ROM. I'm at 100% battery, going to see what happens throughout the day.
Suscribed to the thread !
So the purpose of this new release is battery saving ?

Thanks for your work Rob.
Battery saving would be awesome !
I know this was build for stock roms but I flashed it on cm12.1 and it seems to be working fine. Is there a reason it wouldn't work on cm12.1 or if I can check to see if it is working? Thanks
Perhaps it's just the excitement of the new mod, but I feel as though there is a reduction of heat being produced by the device. Has anyone else noticed this?
Got it installed. What specifically do you want feedback on?
I imagine I won't have a feel for the battery difference for a couple days. Anything else?

That's pretty much it is battery life I want to see if the changes I've made have made any difference if not I've got a few more tweaks I'll try but this is just a start
Testing on D851 LP.
Testing on D855 flashed over last 75 version
I just installed your new 70° mod on my vs985... Let you know how it goes... Thanks
-SD 4.0/SD 4.1 Kernel-
just installed on international D855.. i'll return in a few days
I also just installed on International D855 running ChupaChups 4.2 and will report back in a few days.

To check to see if it's working you can download 3c toolbox formally known as android tuner and under CPU you can see the temp and see if it throttles down at the correct temperature and I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work with cm12
Please let me know if it works and how well so I can post it in the op

Purenexus 7.0 with Franco kernel battery life

Here is a couple pictures of my phone right now after unplugging it at 100% 5 hours ago or so. Have been on the same WiFi the whole time and same brightness. Bluetooth has been on but not actually paired to anything. Have been playing games, Facebook, Messenger, and browsing the web. What do you guys think? Good battery life? Average? Should I be getting more with what I'm doing and since I've been on WiFi the whole time? I've only had a Nexus 6P for about 2 weeks now so trying to figure out if it's good or bad. Traded a used Moto X Pure for this device.
Last picture:
Average. Nougat battery life sucks and I'm tired of it.
About to go back to a MM ROM man.

I'm still thinking about it. But then again, MM is now an outdated version of Android. Missing security patches amongst other things. I really need battery life though.

I stayed on MM and threw Android N-ify on it. Don't see much of a difference between the official build. I got all the pixel stuff on here and get 5+hrs sot on the daily.

I downgraded to MM today (phone came with N, I've only had it for a week).
I found Slim6 is fairly up to date, weekly build came out last week. Its on the Oct. security patch which is not far out of date.
I'm running it with the last Flash kernel for MM.
Still to early to make a call on battery life... But performance has been great and no bugs at all.

Helix Engine Power Manager

I ran across this several days ago and decided to test it on my own Le Max 2: With it I managed to get 6.5 hours SoT with fairly heavy web browsing (Opera) and music playback (Poweramp). I'm running AospExtended 5.4 Official 2018-04-17 and Helix Engine 2.0 Beta Free.

Kind regards,
Bill...
Thanks for this advice, i will test it, because it's a really good idea. Considering the fact, that i'm not a heavy user, it should be interesting, if the effect is still noticable.
For me too much apps that do not open or open very slowly at the moment.
I like the dynamic flow of slowing down or speeding up the CPU for the phone needs. I will check the development later on.....

That's probably due to the kernel your ROM is using. I've not experienced any of those problems with the ROM I'm using... :good:
Should I make changes to the default profile (I assume "Balanced Profile") or just leave it as it is?

I can confirm this, I uninstalled it hence. Also it didn't have any noticeable improvement like 1 hour SOT extra or so hence using it is a no no.

I just left at the default, which is Dynamic Balanced. By the way, that profile incorporates Battery, Balanced, and Performance mode switching.

It may. But I suspect you'll be better results with it if the device is rooted and allows Super User access. As a matter of fact, root access is required for it...

Instruction for Android 6.0.1 and Exynos Note 4

I've been using Greenify for some time with pleasure but not sure I'm doing it efficiently and my device and OS is getting and getting old every day and although I used a heavily debloated version of stock ROM (Simpl ROM) my battery seems to lack of performance lately. So I need a real deal instruction to get maximum efficiency since I don't want to change my phone. I'd really appreciate any help for fine tuning in Greenify.
Not: Note 4 with stock-based 6.0.1 Simpl ROM and Rooted with SuperSU. Also, I installed Space Lemon kernel.

Everything gets old and dies including the battery in your device. Greenify will not save you from that fate. Nor will it substantially improve battery endurance on Android 6+ assuming your app portfolio is well behaved. Make sure 'doze on the go' is enabled in Greenify. The remaining knobs and dials will only yield minor benefits.

Of course; missed the point. . Seriously consider a new battery which is both economical and easy to install on your device. Greenify is not the answer in the absence of clear indication of app misbehavor.

After market batteries are often not fresh and/or do not meet OEM specs. You should understand what is draining the battery before pursuing a replacement if a recent change made little/no difference. There are numerous XDA threads dedicated to this subject.

I had changed the battery twice during my usage period but I always bought it from the official Samsung service store. However, I decided to decrease the number of apps installed on my phone. After that, I try battery life again.
