Why is this happening? I'm playing on lowest settings except I set the resolution to 1080p and fps to 60 fps. My room temperature is 30c and the phone gets up to 60c when throtteling. Setting the resolution to 720p changes nothing.
60c holy ****!!! Do u charge while u play? I play at smooth with extreme fps (60) i get 40c-42c

I would try to check the battery settings and see which 3rd-party apps is second to PUBG battery consumption. I'm not a gamer but I've experienced better battery runtime after replacing Messenger and Facebook with their lite versions, this also translate to better thermals. Also try reinstalling PUBG or if it has a repair function, use it.

Yes 4K gaming now possible on RN3 and it looks sick on the redmi note 3 really. Franco kernel updater app use it and go to sub menus in per app profile from there create a profile with changing the resolution to 4K and select the app to go with the profile and then play the game it should automatically scale to 4K!
Also set ur cpu governor to performance for best experience.
P.S screenshots were not allowed to to be clicked because of some w reason and i am uploading a video ASAP(note screen capturing limited to 1080p native res of the display)
Edit: here u go with the tutorial thanks to @srijansaxena11.

Yes it will but then u need to change the resolution of android system and system ui which is not present in the Lists as it just lists user APps you might also need to change the resolution of every app and create a profile

Can I enjoy 4k gaming on stock or epic ROM or another kernel
Hello guys after I tried a lot of ROMs combo kernels roms blabla if any1 want to try its free and trust me u will love it.
The best combo its here super smooth
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298984356 RRD by movzx notice the 09-09-2017 build (Nougat)
https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1RiBJVEj4Y2aBnGQFwa7fhpDMPJOYOrsb Shadow Kernel 4.7 choose settings for performance-hexa core and apply undervolt and disable f-sync/ choose permissive selinux (if u want any magisk module)
Apply those settings in darkness app for gaming
Turn off arch power
Change both thermals to 80 Celsius
And happy gaming!
Small update: if any1 want vulkan api (cuz some apps support that API ofc) use the guide to enable it vulkan api activator etc
Also I added some photos to check battery usage too it was 4 hour of gaming 1 hour lost as u can compare cuz from one restart I had to do cuz forgot to enable my sound mods on magisk xd

Thanks for the advice. I read somewhere that disabling f-sync causes instability and some issues. If I skip disabling f-sync and leave it as-is and apply all other settings, will it still be fine?
@habitbuilderwarrior yes you can leave it on but here no problems cuz never had a random reboot to loose data etc its up to u
I don't play games, but love performance for daily usage too. Have undervolting improved battery backup during gaming too?

Average usage w.o games its 10-13% per hour depending how old its your battery meanwhile I play rules or survival max settings I get minimal heat and no lags at all and battery consumption its 16-17 per hour

Thank you for this job!!!!
But this affects to UHD 60fps, (only achievable 55fps). Same happens with other apps: if you disable NR and sharpening, you cannot get 60fps, only 55fps. Any fix for that? Any idea for why this happens? @xenius9
Can u make it for Android 10

cinelog doesn't work with 60 fps at all even with 720p. If I force it 60 fps is disabled. HDR10 works with wide anlge with uhd60 but without logprofile. (I'm using lg g7)

Thanks! Yes, I'm aware of that. The Cinelog feature implies hdr within, and I think hdr is not possible beyond 30fps (even 8bit).
I have a stock modded for HDR10 wide angle, but doesn't work for me. (V40).
I cant seem to install this version :/
I keep reading that the GT 2 Pro, like other Realme phones, are stuck in 60fps gaming despite it being having a display with 120hz. Is there a mod that allows this? Has anyone gotten success on doing 120hz gaming?
Of course

there is an app called "setedit" in google play store, with it you can enable some apps to run on 120fps but as i said it doesnt enable 120fps in all games, all u have to do is find "peak_refresh_rate" click it, click edit value and then set it to 1
In RMX3301_11.C.16 version they added custom app refresh rate, so when you select high refresh rate instead of Auto select you'll see an option to change refresh rate per app and you can change your games to use 60, 90 or 120 hz, worked for me in Minecraft.
World of Tanks set to 120 Hz and the application runs at 60 Hz.
Spoiler: Screenshot
Edit:
I was able to set it to 120Hz.
I changed the default 120 Hz to 60 Hz, confirmed then put 90 Hz, confirmed the change and finally 120 Hz and confirmed the change. I launch the app and it runs at 120 Hz.
In early version of OOS 11/12 i can be able to use 90 FPS using Autohz and SETedit now I'm not able to use those apps, please help me to enable 90 FPS in app specific section....
No and you can't access game space app
