It can be done without rooting the phone and installing unstable software. Check for ADB and / or
'Setting database editor' app. There is a setting in it to change navigation bar height.
Unable to the find settings
It's a good idea. But I can't seem to find the exact settings leading to "Navigation Bar Height" inside the Database Settings App.
I also tried Hex Installer, successfully changed the navigation bar. But no new string shower up in Database Settings App.
You can use Hex Installer for this (it's on play store)
Yeah but what sucks about Hex is, you're applying a theme.
And in Samsung OneUI, applying a theme means = Same notification heading colour for ALL APPS.
People want their notifications to have different colours. Like red Youtube, teal Twitter, blue FB, purple Discord
https://imgur.com/a/cqFgLNh
It's an issue with OneUI Theme Engine.
So I'm trying to find a way of changing NavBarHeight w/o applying a frigging theme

Tinted Status Bar has been out for a long time now and despite its popularity its no longer being updated which means we have to take matters into our own hands and set the color codes manually to get the perfect color coding like in Android Lollipop.
Here I will list the color codes of apps in which tinted status bar didn't work
Add these color codes by going in per app tints and select the app and add them in All activities unless a specific activity is specified in brackets "(...)". Incase a specific activity is mentioned, only add in it.
Chrome
*ffe2e2e2
Android Device Manager
*ffd1d1d1
Google Docs (com.google.android.apps.docs.app.NewMainProxyActivity)
*ff4089f6
Google Slides (com.google.android.apps.docs.app.DocListActivity)
*fff6b400
Google Sheets (com.google.android.apps.docs.app.DocListActivity)
*ff0b9d58
Facebook
*ff3b5b98
Gmail
*ffdb4334
Google Play Games
*ff4f8027
(com.google.android.gms.games.ui.destination.games.GameDetailActivity)
*ff242424
(Note: For Google Play Games, add the first code in all activities, and the second in the activity mentioned)
Google Play Music
*ffef6a00
Google Play News and Weather
*ffffffff (turn icon color to ff000000)
Google Play Store
*ff6a9f38
Google +
*ffdb4336
Hangouts
*ff0b9d58
Google Keep
*ffffbf09
Google Messenger (com.google.android.apps.messaging.ui.ConversationListActivity)
*ff0089d1
Mobogenie (com.mobogenie.activity.DownloadManagerActivity)
*ff008cd1
Sound Cloud
*ff242424
Twitter
*ff55afef
Youtube

These codes will make the status bar match the action bar, if you want a stock lollipop kind of feel, go in overlay options and select the semi transparent overlay, it will give you slightly darker status bar as compared to action bar, as in Lollipop.
If you are using a Navigation Bar, tick the link status & Nav bar option in default settings for best results.
For those apps which do not follow a specific color code or do not have an action bar we need to determine a default colour, so go in default settings and change the following:
Default Status bar
*ff242424
Default Nav Bar
*ff242424
If you are using the Google Keyboard with Material Light Theme, then also change the following in default settings:
Navigation Bar Tint (IM)
*ffe3eaea
Navigation Bar Icon Tint (IM)
*ff2e373c
For Material Dark Theme on Google Keyboard, change to this:
Navigation Bar Tint (IM)
*ff21292b
Navigation Bar Icon Tint (IM)
*ffe3eaea
If you want codes for other apps not mentioned here, download the color picker app from playstore and open your target app, take a screenshot and then open color picker, load the screenshot and touch on action bar to get your code, enter that in tinted status bar to set it, also post it here in comments to help others!
Cheers!
Did you know that Tinted Status Bar has a feature called "Notification Color Picker"? It automagically detects app color and let's you set the color per activity or to the whole app.
So you don't need to mess with color codes, color picker apps, screenshots, etc. You just launch the notification color picker and you can configure 20 apps in 60 seconds.
Yes that's what I used to know about the activity names, but that's all it can do, tell activity name, after that you still need screen shot and pick color and manually set that color to the respective activity

I thinks you better install Flat Style Colored Bars, it performs better than TSB
Doesn't work for us who are stuck on Jellybean

Are you kidding? You can add the color directly from the notification, see the attachments.
Add app, add activity and apply color. You are making this way more difficult than it is, man.
OK just tried it, its really amazing and yes it takes much lesser time, I really didn't knew about it, thanks dude!

That's because this module doesn't recognize the second Sim, it was made for single Sim devices in mind, my second Sim doesn't change color too, anyway you can still use gravity box to give it a color of your choice, though it won't change automatically

I recently installed Android N-ify from the xposed modules and got my notification panel to look decent by adjusting colors with G4 tweaksbox, however the idle quick settings are the same color as the background. Does anyone know of another way to edit quick setting icon colors? Is there a root file I can edit easily?

You can install the hybrid theme or the flyme theme - you can find them in the theme-section of this forum...

I'm on H830 and those themes aren't compatible yet - besides, i only want to change the quick settings icon colors (when not selected they are black and invisible, they are white when selected as of right now)
the point being i will be able to use the Android N style notification panel. I like the way the notifications span the whole screen.

Is there a way to change the color of the notification ui?
I open the "stock android" app today and it changed the color of my notification ui from Grey to blue without messing around with it.
Is there a way to change the color back to the original in the settings somewhere (I've been searching for some hours now, changed theme and all, uninstalled and reinstalled nova and changed nothing) without installing an app for the notification ui?
I have nova launcher installed FYI.
@EmbleerFrith
I think you mean the quick settings background. It changes according to the background you set on your launcher in theory. If you open MiFavor launcher without making it default, then change the background on it, THEN hit the home button to get to the stock Android launcher, it should fix itself. I did that before, and it seems to work
Honestly I'd love to change the whole quick settings UI altogether, but I have no idea how to mod systemUI
I have noticed that it only changes if I change the theme of the phone and only then
Yes There is
Yes there is a way. You have to decompile SystemUI_ZTE.apk and do some smali code color changes. I have mine set to one color all the time.

can you make a guide or something? Maybe theme the B09's (or B35's) systemUI and share it somewhere? This would be a nice addition to @raystef66's ROMs, as an add-on
Why does Instagram and Facebook apps on Pixel devices have dark navigation bar whereas other Android devices have light navigation bar on their Instagram and Facebook apps ?
Yup, i also noticed that, might be nice getting option to change to dark...

As i see it cannot turn keys to be black if navbar color is white.
I just got an Android 11 phone and to my dismay some older apps that display generally in a dark theme have an unmatching ugly white nav bar. This module turns nav bars black.

I have a OnePlus 9. But the xposed module will hopefully work on any Android 5.0 or higher phone.

It could be done, but since the apps won't be adapted for it, it might well obscure some app buttons at the bottom of the screen, so I am not inclined to do it. But if you want to, you can take the source code and just change opacity = 0xff to whatever you like in Hook.java.

In laposed what is supposed to get selected in scope system framework and systemui?
Or do I need to select every app that has a white navbar?

Finally, one that works. Tried on my Samsung Note 9 on Android 10. Thank you for sharing this module.
Edit: Turned out, it interferes with a button on my installed calendar app. I can't click a button at the bottom. I had to un-select my calendar app in LSposed. For my other apps, this module works fine so I still use it.
I just added two nav bar options in addition to black:
- 50% translucent
- match status bar (white when status bar is whitish; else black)

Hi arpruss, I can't find the settings to get to these added navbar options.
Can you guide us how to get to those options?
Thank you.

Tap on "Navigation bar."
Thank you. I found it
Hi @arpruss , would you consider adding another option for the nav bar to match the status bar color? For example when status bar is blue then nav bar is blue also.
Works perfectly on Oreo, thanks a lot
Hey, sorry for multipost but I wanted to push it to the top..
I'm on Oreo with the last, fully working version of Xposed as magisk module.
I noticed that some apps fail to "acknowledge" the navbar with your module enabled and that results in bottom bar,if they have one, being behind it and not being able to see or use it.
Can you please look into this issue?
Thanks for the module, I've been looking for something like this. Been using Nacho Notch to simulate something similar.
Seems like it can create some oddities in some apps. For example I've enabled it for YouTube (Vanced) and when I try to post a comment it refuses to show the comment box above the keyboard. Very odd issue, but it's fixed when I disable the module.
Also I cannot force the statusbar to be black?
I'm on Android 10 with an Xperia 5 ii

Yeah, I had the same problem.
Some apps even don't show the bottom menu if they have it.
It's really a pity cause I use both navbar customized with GravityBox and Xposed Edge for gestures and can't imagine my life without both of them lol ;P
So I have to bear the white navbar for now
