Hello,
i am coming from an OnePlus 3, just bought the le max 2 because oft the better screen, i am watching much VR stuff. Is there a possibility to activate Google daydream VR like on the OP3?
Thanx in advance
Non OLED screen mobile phones are not officially Daydream compatible. It's because of the lower refresh rates on the LCD panels.
Yes use a nougat ROM and follow these instructions https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/5hno6u/got_daydream_to_work_on_my_5x_might_work_on_other/
Thank you
One last minor issue, where am i able to find the NFC options? At the moment i habe to turn the flight mode on to use Daydream. Isnt a big problem, just for me as i am a lil lazy
Oh wow I have been looking for a way to use daydream without enabling developer mode and skipping vr entry screen and never though about using airplane mode. Thank you. But if you really want to skip that step (but I don't recommend it since sensors won't be calibrated) follow the instructions under EDIT 2 in the link I sent you. (EDIT 2: If you're having problems, go into the Daydream app and tap on the build version a few times to activate developer mode. Then go into the developer mode screen and enable "Skip VR Entry Screens". I believe this is only necessary if you don't have a Daydream headset or controller, but can't confirm that.)
That wont be a problem, i got a headset and a controller. One weird thing is happening, the picture when i am looking through the headset isnt straight, it slightly bents to the right. Pressing the O button on the controller doesnt solve the problem, so i dont exactly know what to do.
Thanx for your help. I will keep on using the airplane mode then. Is there any SBS/OU viewer app which is able to play DTS sound? VRTV unfortunately doesnt and sky viewer isnt starting at all.
Problem with Daydream VR Games
I got problem with most of Daydream VR Games they not launch in VR mode but in 2D mode although the controller still working even in 2d mode.
Only five game that work perfectly Gunjack2, Gunship battle 2, Layers of Fear, NFS No Limits VR, SBK VR and the daydream app it self, beside that like i said before launch in 2D mode.
Please some one tell me what should i do or can you tell me any custom ROM for play Daydream perfectly.
My device 820 version use Lineage OS Version 14.1-20171027-Nightly-x2 with Vulkan mod
What type of VR googles (other then Daydream) are you using? Le Max 2 is quite big phone and I have problem finding proper googles.

Iam Using FiitVR 2S https://www.aliexpress.com/w/wholes...1&SortType=price_asc&g=y&SearchText=FiitVR+2S
Hi guys, I just bought a Bobo VR Z5 (with Daydream controller) and Le max 2(x821). When I got it, I immediately flash best in my opinion ROM for this - Resurrection Remix, with Android 7.1.2, becuase it support Vulkan API. Daydream APP and other stuff I'm install through the Google Play Store, next pair controller. But the point is, Leeco doesn't have NFC and I must turning ON the airplane mode every time until Daydream begin works, and than turn off Airplane mode, and Turn On internet to use Daydream. Everything workings fine but its quite tiring to switch all this things every time. So my question is: Is there any "NFC" emulator app? If Daydream App detect the NFC is "ON" it will be great. Thanks for advice
Ok I got it...

Thats all. But before it, U must pair controller. And set "Daydream View" in settings for this headset. Some games not run properly, like Fruit Slicer or InMind VR 2, this games run into 2D mode. But most games run just great, NFS NL VR, The Turning Forest etc. So I may reccomend Leeco Le Max 2 for Daydream use

Ok so since I have the le max 2 x820 (same phone, different bands/rom on delivery) could I actually use the google day dream (same rom than you) whole not just the controller? Any particular reason you bough another headset?
I'm looking for a good mobile vr headset to take advantage of my phone when I'm not at home to use the HTC Vive. I was looking to take the white xiaomi vr headset with controller (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBH91MhRtdg) but since I can't find any information on it and if there are hack to use it with my phone I may go with daydream.

Daydream apps and controller, so whole of this U can use. I bought another headset becuase its cheaper and 'Daydream readu', but this isnt true. If U like to buy Vr headset, buy original Daydream gogles. I heard that Daydream headset is better immersive becuase all apps is configured on it. I hope this will help U make a decision gl

So i did get the Google daydream headset, modified the handheld XML file and download the store and the store worked OK same as other Google aps but there is some noticeable jittering/lag when I move my head around, it's very nauseous ( and i am never sick with m'y HTC vive). Also other apps crash constantly (netflix) or launch in 2d (no split view). Any idea?
Yes, daydream not run perfectly in Le Max 2, but in most apps it worls great
---------- Post added at 11:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:05 PM ----------
And lag is actually not annoying later Le Max 2 is unfortunately not oled screen, so lag will be seen time to time
OK so i shouldn't be expecting better from it ? I guess i'm going to return it then because that kind of defy the purpose of it to me =(
Thing is that when i move m'y head everything is super super blurry.
That really doesn't look "normal" to me. If it is then I don't get the good talk about VR mobile =\

if your Daydream app/games launch in 2d just change the ROM, i have try 3 rom. Lineage OS get this issue so it is not good for Daydream, Resurrection Remix 5.8.5 Some app/games most of them heavy game such as " Arcslinger " sometimes get bad performance and screen flickering, the best ROM for Daydream i think PURE NEXUS PROJECT. after instal the rom just follow this instruction correctly https://www.xda-developers.com/force-daydream-vr-compatibility/ and you will get perfect compatible for Daydream.
I not try other rom maybe there are another perfect rom for daydream i don't know. for now iam using Resurrection Remix 5.8.5 because PURE NEXUS PROJECT have bug with screen recorder and i really more need screen recorder than perfect compatible for Daydream.
Hi all.
I'm considering to buy an Amazfit Pace to track my activities. I watched many videos about it on YouTube, but I have 2 doubts that still remain.
- Have Amazfit pace an Auto Pause when recording run and bike activities? Today I use Strava or Runtastic to record my activities and both have this functionality.
- Is it possible to record any other activity with Amazfit? For example, I usually train with Nike Training Club app and today I monitor and record my activity with Runtastic app. Is it possible to record and monitor my training with Amazfit?
Thank you,
Waldir.
1. Dev (Pacefied) and CN version already have this in their rom.
2. Every supported activity is recorded on watch and Amazfit app.
And is it possible to connect with Strava on Dev Pacefied or CN ROMs?

Yes it is (i currently have pacefied + strava), but you don't need to do this anymore because the US stock firmware also has the automatic pause feature too (new firmware was released just last week to enable this).
It was not released yet, its in beta at the moment. But will be pretty fast

Actually..... was fine yesterday but I have had a few weird issues today (have only had the device 72hrs)
- Lost music playback during a drive this morning.. can still hear nav instructions and phone calls etc, just silence during what appears to be playing music.
- The map screen has shrunk.. its like a totally different dpi to the other screens and appears fairly high res. Good because of the extra screen estate, but is now difficult to read text.
I'm going to try again tomorrow and will reset the head-unit and reinstall AA if it continues.
There is also a fair bit of complaints going on at the google product forums so maybe Oreo still needs some bugs worked out ?

It's strange. Sony XAV AX-100 & Mate 10 ALP-L29 .115
I find if I'm connected to the headunit first via BT and streaming music, it is fine. GPS directions and calls etc work as expected.
If I plug in via USB and let Android Auto takeover the headunit, it will continue only playing the one currently playing song, and the all other music is unable to play. I still get audio for directions & calls though.
What I think is happening, is Android Auto is trying to play music via USB connection and disables the "media" part of the BT paring.
For whatever reason, Google Play music doesn't come through via USB.
After a bit of research it appears this is a widespread problem with multiple devices after a recent AA & Google Play music update.. so I'm hesitant to blame Huawei here.
My current workaround is simply to use Android Auto on the phone and paired via BT for audio, rather than plugged in via USB.
Very very annoying, and hopefully fixed soon. Google seem to be dropping the ball A LOT lately
Very strange indeed...hope these bugs get ironed out soon. One of the main reasons to upgrade is to have AA working on my head unit so I guess I'll just wait until this works like it should.

Just a quick fyi.. I have cancelled my Google Play Music and switched over to Spotify instead, which is working great and I have no other issues while plugged in via USB
I still get the higher dpi on the maps screen, and am finding it's actually preferable now I've used it for a few days.
Another small fyi for those experiencing issues, after a whole bunch of testing it appears the 'Smart Display" resolution setting is casusing the Nav Maps screen to be distorted, and the On-Call Phone screen to be hidden.
Locking resolution to HD / 720 will allow Maps and Phone screens to function as expected.
Still haven't figured out the GPM no-audio bug even after yesterdays playstore update.
I'm having issues on my mate 8 NXT-AL10.
Navigating - Works on fresh install of Android Auto, but then with Waze installed, next time I get in the car and go to navigation the system freezes, goes black, and then returns to the home screen. This has gone on far too long, and this is also my 2nd and last Huawei phone. Unimpressed.
Music/Audio - Every app I go on within android auto (on my head unit) is giving the "Google play music doesn't seem to be working right now" or insert other app name. It's mightily frustrating.
I've found workarounds for both but they're by no means fullproof.
1) Using Nova Launcher seems to keep Waze working for longer without having to reinstall the android auto app.
2) Apparently clearing the cache of your apps can help solve the audio issues, as well as restarting Bluetooth.
Google/Huawei really need to get their act together on this. It's really frustrating to spend so much money on a phone and a new car only to find out the systems you bought them for don't work.
---------- Post added at 01:05 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:58 AM ----------
Oh, and also, when typing - for inserting a destination into a navigation app on Huawei, I've found there's no space-bar.
The only workaround so far I've found is type it natively on app in phone, save the destination as a favourite, and access it on android auto from the favourites list. Again, small, but painful.
You going to hate android auto belive me.

I upgrade my Oneplus 3 to Mate 10 and having the same Google Map resolution too high problem.
I turn off Smart Display and lock the resolution to HD (720p) as instructed from this post, the navigation of android auto back to normal but the quality of the screen of the Mate 10 itself look like a budget phone.
I will try to update the firmware of my SONY XAV-AX100 if it would help.
Oh great. I really wish i found this thread before pulling the trigger on a Sony XAV-AX100 I expect it to arrive sometime next week but it wont be installed in my car until the new year sometime. Nonetheless, I will try some basic tests with Android Auto and report my findings. These tests won't involve sound though. No speakers laying around to connect to the headunit. I have a Mate 10 Pro, firmware 8.0.0.125
Updating the firmware of the XAV-AX100 unit does not help. I think it is the problem of Huawei Firmware. I hope they can fix the problem soon.
I just bought my Mate 10 last week. Finally got a chance to use AA, and after reading all the helpful information from this thread, I changed my phone resolution down to HD (low). I have a brand new car and brand new expensive flagship phone, and now you are telling me Huawei doesn't work well with AA. I really dont want to use an expensive phone with HD low resolution. Is there a way to let Huawai fix it?
I was also wondering if we could update the firmware of the screen of our car? I have a 2016 honda accord ex-L...

I think we have to wait for the firmware update of the phone instead of the firmware of head unit. I am current running 8.0.0.119(C636) (which have the AA bugs) and hope that the new 8.0.0.128(C636) I found in Firmware Finder will have the problem fixed. However, the new firmware is not authorise to install on my mate 10 yet.

Sorry for bringing this topic again, but these are exactly my problem and exactly my thoughts.
I have a Mate 9 Pro with Oreo beta and even when I don't have problems with maps or screen, I can only hear 1 song and then the audio stops working, and even when I unplugged the phone, the device remains with no audio at all until I reboot the device.
I tried to test with a P10 Lite, but the car is not even recognizing it.
I will try today with an Android Stock device to see if I get better results.

Do you get correct resolution on your car screen with AA? I can get correct resolution by using HD 1280 x 720 only, which is low resolution.
I tried to use Quick Shortcut Maker to create a shortcut so everytime I need to use GPS, I will toggle it on. However, Quick Shortcut Maker doesn't work on my Mate 10, and I dont' see any new shortcut created on my home screen.
I tried Nova Launcher, again, no hope. Nova Launcher tells me "Permission Denial" when I created the shortcut for "Screen Resolution". Also, after insatlled Nova, my Torch (flashlight) no longer working anymore.
I am thinking to return this crappy mate 10, it's not worth it to spend so much time to do research on all these bugs for Huawei software engineer....

Ok. I have received the Sony head unit and had it installed on friday night and...........
I am having similar experiences to Snachez with some exceptions.
No sound in Google Play Music. Which I am very pissed off with. Sure, I could cancel Google Music, but I have a family account with multiple users. So that's not really an option. I have no choice but to take up a Spotify subscription as well as GPM. I truly believe this is an issue with the GPM app or AA and is not Huawei's fault. Goddamn you Google. (EDIT: Just scored 3 months of Spotify for $0.99. If Google can get there **** sorted by the end of March with the Music app, it won't be so bad)
Maps are fine. don't matter what resolution i run the phone at. Sadly this is probably the only part of AA that has worked as expected.
Phone call information does not display on my headunit. at all. I have a dialer / contacts info but that's it. It doesn't matter if i switch the phone between 720 or 1080p. phone call info does NOT come up on the headunit. Do i have to reboot the phone between resolution switches? Because I didn't try that.

Saying I hate it would be a bit strong. More unimpressed than anything else. Unless I need to use Google Maps, or charge my phone. This headunit is going to spend more time in BT Audio mode than AA
I have got phone functionality (call info, etc) to work in AA. But to do so I have to force close the Huawei dialler each and every single time before connecting the phone to the headunit.
[email protected] me, what an absolute pain in the arse. How did Google and/or Huawei not notice this???
On the upside though, it works when the phone's resolution is set to 1080p. what a relief because changing it to 720p everytime i want to use AA would just suck.
To all the folks that say phone / maps doin't work properly in 1080p. have you tried enabling Developer Options in AA and experimenting with some of the settings?
Hey there,
as you probably know, it's forbidden by google to include a function to an app to record the internal sound. That's the reason why all audio/video-recorder-apps (like AZ Screen Recorder) only allow to record the microphone(s).
Is there anyway a solution to record the internal sound, for example with a cable? But only the digital way via USB(-C) and not the analog way with the phone jack which causes side noises! Do I need a special OTG-Cable?
If I connect the original USB-C-Cable to my pc nothing happens really.
In the dev options in the android settings I can de/activate the usb-audiorouting (but I can see no changes)
I also can choose 'audiosource' in the usb-config. If I plugin then to my computer, there is no new 'microphone' in the audio settings. In the device manager the BLA-L29 is listed, but the drivers are marked as corrupt.
Can somebody help me to finally have the power to record the internal sound? Thank you!
Perhaps try a Bluetooth recorder? I came across this after a 5-second web search; I'm sure that with a little more effort you could find many more varieties.

Update: Huawei Mate 10 Pro Screen Record with Audio
Hi
I'm a Streamer and mobile Gamer, Just updated to Official Stable Android 9 on my Mate 10 pro and they actually provided a new screen recorder that can record internal audio but..
Here is the issue i'm facing :
1) When using the screen recording app and i turn the microphone off i'm able to record system sounds on any app and while its recording ,however the speaker sound is turned off so you wont hear anything until you stop the screen record. Also if you enable the mic the screen recorder app will record audio from your mic
I hope this could help Devs to take a close look at this , all we want is that to use a screen recorder which records System audio and mic just like the IPhone to allow us to stream our games to platforms like Youtube, Facebook, Twitch, Omlet Arcade without buying a IPhone .
I understand google bans devs from accessing this API : Internal Audio, but what if Huawei just develop a app like Samsung Game Launcher where only games and Streaming apps like Twitch, Youtube, Facebook Live, Omlet Arcade are allowed to access the Internet Audio Recording Function?
And BTW to all those trolls , we not requesting bloatware its a just a simple screen recorder or a Gaming Suite/Launcher app for our Mobile Gaming Community
Regards

Because Nokia made a great decision, to use pure Android. The smoothest and fastest Android of all. Besides the Google Pixel- Pixel 2, there is no other flagship with pure Android. You even have Google lens and "ok Google" with screen off, working. You have Android 8.1, when Galaxy S8 is right now updating to 8.0! For almost half the money.... Think about it....
I found this app that works very fine
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-6/themes/xperia-music-app-nokia-6-t3761076
I use "music folder", I love this app, it's simple but powerful at the same time.
Very very low battery drain.
I tried it for a few weeks and then I bought it, also to reward the work done.

Regarding this decision, I'm glad they took it and that's why I love the new Nokia.
However they could implement some little features like the screen-on when there is a notification coming.
Also their glance screen is still a far cry that the one used in Lumias, in every aspect (aesthetic, features, battery consumption).
I'm not sure if Nokia / HMD is really working under the hood or if they just push Google updates and that's it.

Isn't that what pure Android is all about? Pure Google. Fast updates and stock experience. I think I prefer fast updates, to have a secure and fluid device, than little tricks, that you mostly find in apps on play store anyway.
btw... On WhatsApp, sms and a few more apps, there are notifications on lock screen. And screen turns on. Just not for all apps.
If you look at the phone, the only downside, is it's own camera application. It sucks. Since I replaced it with Google camera, the phone became complete!
Yes you're right and that's why I chose Nokia too (that, + the fact that I'm a fanboy of the brand).
I know that Whatsapp wake up the screen with notifications, the whole point of my post was that, YES, Pure Android is fantastic and so far Nokia do a good job with updates. But maybe they could, like Sony for instance, just make 2-3 little additions on firmwares that won't slow down the updates that much, but will be great for users. For Instance, while under 8.0, it was nearly impossible to enjoy music streaming via bluetooth because it was broken (thanks Google). I don't have this problem on 8.0 with the GS8, and that's because Samsung worked on it.
Now with 8.1, no stuttering anymore, but as a lot of devices, Spotify is just shut down after 30min.
I would appreciate that HMD/Nokia put a little more effort on these type of problems.
I also agree that GC makes an HUGE difference.
I use poweramp and it works great. I love my nokia 8.
PlayerPro also work great for me, although I bought the Pro version years ago so dunno about the free version.
Same with Black Player, small and great.
If you have lots of albums N7 player is a uniquely brilliant in how it presents and navigates them.
I bought playerpro back when I had a HTC wildfire. That's how long I e used this music player and how happy I am with it. It's truly stood the test of time. My favourite feature is being able to download album artwork from the internet.
@venezolano69, I am currently using Onkyo HF player and is pretty good. It has various preseted HQ settings available and has a decent sound quality! It is worth to try if you are seeking for a new music player with good performance.
@machhho, if you are seeking for an audio recorder, let's try the one made by Sony. Both of the software can be found in the Google Store
I have been using BlackPlayer and it's really the best one out there in my opinion.
How can I record calls (App)?
I am now on Asus Music downloaded from APK mirror. Runs great and also has an equalizer. Still using since Asus zenfone 2 Laser and still great
