Hi,
My phone is currently acting really weird. For some reason if i touch the screen in the top 1/5 of my screen it shows that I am touching the screen in more than one place (I've switch the "show touches" on).
Was wondering if any one else is or has had the same problem.
Also, any advice would be very helpful.
Cheers!
Hello,
Is anyone else having this issue? Like touch screen doesnt respond very well at the top left corner (^<), im running on 5.0.2 lollipop. You can inspect this by slowly swiping the navigation bar at the top left corner or while playing a game (buttons wont function)...
Best regards,
James

its working fine here on 850f running lollipop. ive tried many times real slow n fast. But i cant say anything about screen not working during games cuz i have no games on my phone.
I am facing the same problem from 1month.
I have replaced Screen (previously Display was broken and i had replaced)
Previous one had same problem ( Top left ) , before i went to Service centre , i droped my phone and its display was broken , i have replaced display around 4months ago , and now from 1month i am facing the same problem again ,
When i Swipe notification panel from very Left side , at 40% times , it doesn't drop down , it goes upwards ,
I have faced in Six guns game , Moving button isnot working properly sometimes , than i have to lock the screen , and unllock the phone again , after that touch starts working normally , again It stops again i lock the screen and so on.........
So is this common problem with most of the Alpha's screen ?
Same issue here... bought 2 months ago with Lollipop 5.0.2 already installed. Very annoying with games!!
By the contrary, I also noticed extremely high sensitivity over the screen: I don't even need to touch the screen to press buttons, simply approach finger by half centimeter it is enough. I don't know if it's something expected, but I didn't noticed this with my former Galaxy S.

Its a very strange thing , touch fixed it self and its working fine again since 15 days , i think its software problem
it happened with me too , i'm running 4.4.4 stock , i wasn't able to tap on the wifi button on the top left , enabled the "show touches and show pointer location " on developer options and found that the top left corner is not working , strangely i restarted the device and its all working again so i think its a software problem , also i'm suspecting its related to using a screen protector , didnt try further tho

It seems it's not software related, issues are confirmed both with Kitkat and Lollipop.
It's strange because on my alpha i haven't notice any issue about the touch screen.
Please, can you do this simple test to analyse the overall screen sensitivity?
On 'Settings' go to 'General' tab.
Then roll down to 'Developer Options'.
Activate "Show touches" and "Show pointer location" - it will show the touch interactions on screen (it looks like scratches but don't worry they are just drawings).
Then slide your finger over the screen surface and notice if the track is marked in all areas. Especially in the upper left corner. If you notice a fault on the track in this spot it means the screen has a 'dead' sensitivity area.

I found there is a more simple way to run several test on our device (and also available in other Samsung models): type on the telephone keypad *#0*#
As I reported previously, my screen was touch insensitive on the upper left side. Everyone can check this running the 'Touch' test.
My screen module was replaced under warranty and it seems fine now.
Hi, recently I started facing touch screen issues.
My touch sensitive buttons aren't responding and sometimes the lower part of the touch screen is unresponsive. That is fixed with a gentle squeeze and a lock and unlock. Sometimes the touch behaves as if I'm using two fingers than one (scaling when trying to fast forward video using one finger )
Sometimes the entire touch screen goes unresponsive which is fixed with a lock and unlock. The scroll becomes dead slow too sometimes. Again the fix is the same.
I'm not sure if this is a firmware issue or hardware issue. The rest of the touch works fine.
I'm using a Gionee P6
I tried to trouble shoot using the secret star codes but unfortunately the menu is in Chinese for this device.
If someone could help before I send it in for repair which will take a long time I'd appreciate it
EDIT : I Was able to use the touch screen testing from the diagnosis hardware menu and there are no dead points. Every part of the touch screen responds. Except when I actually use them in Android
Hi. I replaced my broken display (and digitizer) with a new one on my mate 10 pro. So after i replaced it started to detect simple touch as knuckle touch (knuckle touch is a special type of touch with your knuckle on huawei phones that is used for screenshots, split screen and more...) . When i drag or touch screen , sometimes it draws blue lines. So i decided to permanently disable knuckle gestures. And guess what? After i disabled all of them screen didnt work at all. I had to connect usb-to-typec mouse to my phone to activate knuckle gestures again so that screen would work.
What can i do about it? Maybe reset everything and install android pie with different rom, cause i think EMUI is awful. Will it help or its just a hardware issue? I've read that some tehnicians do hard reset after screen replacement, maybe i need too?
P.S. There are 3 knuckle gestures : Split screen ,screenshot and app draw open. If i disable two of these and let one be enabled, then screen works. If i disable all of them screen doesnt respond to touch anymore.
Anyone having issues with the lower half of the screen after the latest update?
I swipe around and it seems to not register.
If I turn on on touch tracking in Dev Options it shows the screen see the swipe, but the OS doesn't.
Anyone else?
