Mirror My LG G7 Screen To My Fire Tablet? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I want to figure out if it is possible to save data/$ by streaming my Amazon Prime videos or any other video content I play on my LG G7 ThinQ onto the larger display of my Amazon Fire HD 10 (7th). I could of course use my G7 mobile hotspot for my tablet, which I do on occasion but I do not have unlimited mobile hotspot data, I do have unlimited data for my G7 which I really use. Thanks!

Any good live tv apps for verizon TP?

Since verizon didnt enable MobileTV on the TP due to it being a "business phone", i was wondering about any good live tv apps that i can supplement. I am well aware of Orb streams and i due have a tuner card with an ir blaster at home, but id like to see what else is out there.
On a side note - I was only with verizon for the lg voyager series of phones. I had a 9800 (V) and then the voyager, but after 3 of those breaking on me; they sent me this thing, which is a giant upgrade. But why wouldnt i go with sprint?
-Even if verizon enabled MobileTV, Sprint has more channels (including the most important cartoon network for my sons cartoon, and my adult swim - which verizon does not have)
-More ram!
-Better form factor - the shape is just better on sprints version (although i do prefer the all black in verizons)
-The device is cheaper with sprint
-Voice and data packages are cheaper with sprint
The only thing verizon has over sprint is that I really due prefer verizons VZ navigator over all others i have seen. That and the gps lag issue that doesnt seem to effect verizons version as much (im hearing).
Sorry that my side note is much larger then my original note lol.

Diamond TV sux. It is just a portal with links that play on the core player, and most of the links don't work.
I downloaded the free version of the Kinoma player, and it looks promising. Do you have any experience with the pay version? If so hows the TV content?

LG G PAD IV Screen sharing/Miracast issue

Hi all,
I have recently purchased a LG G PAD IV 8.0. I needed to share the screen to my Samsung TV which has Miracast built in or to my Amazon FireTV. They both failed as in when the LG did a search, those Miracast receivers did not show up in the list of devices available. Mine is a Samsung 55" TV. Yet, the LG G Pad was able to Screen Share to an LG TV, a Samsung 65" TV and to a Microsoft TV Adapter. Then, all of a sudden, one day, the LG G Pad was able to see my Samsung 55" TV and a few days later, again it stopped seeing it. It took me some trial and error and many factory wipes and finally it turned out, I had to have a SIM card in the G Pad to see some of the Miracast devices..
I am writing this post to help others who may have similar issues.
As to the cause, I have not been able to determine why some Wi-Fi direct devices are detectable without a SIM card and why other are not. It does not have to be an active SIM card either as it turns out.
Cheers.

What do you use your tablet for?

Hey,
I was just wondering what do you do with your tablets? Do you use it for entertainment or work? I wanted to get some ideas so I figured out I'll ask here.
Thanks for the answers
so only after a couple of days
So I bought the M5 10.8 LTE (CRM-AL09) 4GB / 64GB and I can tell you what I bought it for and used so far. Does that qualify to your question?
Short version: I use it as a cheap LTE connected laptop.
Long version:
The problem I was solving was the weird way USA T-Mobile charges for lines meant that in the family plan I pay for, 4 lines cost the same as 3 lines and so I was left with a T-Mobile phone line SIM in a dual-SIM phone doing nothing the vast majority of the time, as I have ATT line from work, so I was looking to move my T-Mobile SIM to something which could make a difference. Most laptops or tablets with LTE require a data SIM which costs something, a big phone can use a phone SIM which is cheaper or for me effectively free.
I already owned a Nexus 10 I used when home, I'd replaced its battery so it did a good job or being at home on strong Wifi (Nexus 10 Wifi is crap) and just watch videos or just use Chrome. So a high-res 10" Wifi was covered.
I already owned a Nexus 7 2013, I'd also replaced its battery, for pocket-size 7" size.
I already had a Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus which was a 8" Wifi. So 8" Wifi was covered.
So I figured I'd go for a basically massively big phone so when not on Wifi I got a laptop type size device, without paying for a tablet data line.
That means for me its a laptop when on the move which is independently LTE connected. I have a 128GB SD card so its got lots of downloaded media.
Entertainment... Internet, YouTube, videos, ebooks, private mail.

Hi, I have 8.4" Mediapad and it's my main driver. I use it mainly for watching online videos, web browsing ect whilst on breaks at work. Also use it as phone. Best tech I've bought
It's my every day phone. I use it for everything...just wish it had an ear speaker. Great for videos and media. Call quality could be better but otherwise, a great device with 4G capabilities in the U.S. (STH-AL09.)
