Employee's Kyocera DuraForce Pro phone locked with FRP - HELP? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

we have some employee phones (ex employees) that are locked with Google FRP. Of course, since these people were let go, they aren't exactly compliant with helping unlock them. I've tried everything I can find online except using a piece of software (trying to access hidden menus, etc). nothing works.
- is there a way on these models/devices to unlock FRP with some backdoor workaround
- if not, is there a reliable (and preferably free) software to do it?
Kyosera DuraForce Pro 6810 on Verizon I believe on Android 7.1
thanks all.

Did you ever get a reply to this? I have tried all of the backdoors listed for this phone online and none of them worked (even the ones that required the download of programs)

Unlocking Ascend Mate 2 4G, nothing works

So, I've tried all the possible solutions for unlocking my new Ascend Mate 2 and they all don't work. The Chinese site says something about 14 days and, honestly, this phone is as useful as a doorstop as long as I can't root it. Can anybody please get my unlock code from the Chinese unlocking site?
Okay, so I figured out a way that actually works instead of all the garbage links you find everywhere on the Ascend Mate2, 7, 8, etc. forums. Huawei is fully incompetent and incapable of providing a simple, no-nonsense way to unlock their phones and it's completely infuriating that I had to jump through so many hoops to find the only currently viable solution. Probably going to be my first and last Huawei phone after this.
As some of you might have noticed, the English unlocking site gives a "Server is busy" error no matter when or how often you try. The Chinese site requires you to do some voodoo BS involving creating an account, logging in/registering from your phone and staying online for 14 days before they'll give you a code (and it seems anybody who recently used it successfully can't get an unlock code for anybody else anymore). The e-mail solution no longer works because (according to recent reports in other threads for other Huawei phones), they no longer hand out unlock codes and refer you to the Chinese site. The Ascend Mate 7 unlock site that was linked in the general Ascend Mate 2 thread gives a 404 not found message.
The only solution I've found that *actually* currently works is using the DC Unlocker client (https://www.dc-unlocker.com/). It costs 4 Euros or 4.xx USD, but it's worth it because it simply works once you know exactly how to use it.
Make sure you install the drivers beforehand. I think I've lost the link to the standalone drivers, but you can get the Hisuite software directly from Huawei and it'll install them automatically. Don't ask me in what order to do this, it just suddenly worked for me.
DO NOT PRESS "READ UNLOCK CODES"
Basically, the instructions are (with the phone hooked up by USB):
1. Download the client.
2. Buy credits (and in the process create an account).
3. Start the client.
4. Set "Select manufacturer:" to "Huawei phones"
5. Do what it says in the text box below
- > go to the phone dial pad, enter *#*#246579#*#*, go to ProjectMenu -> Background settings -> USB ports settings, and set it to "Manufacture mode"
5. Set "Select model" to "Auto detect" (so you don't have to fiddle with the ports)
6. Press the big magnifying glass/search button. (it should detect your phone automatically)
7. Press the "Server" tab and enter your account login info
DO NOT PRESS "READ UNLOCK CODES"
8. Go to the "Unlocking" tab
9. ONLY PRESS "READ BOOTLOADER CODE"
DO NOT PRESS "READ UNLOCK CODES"
It'll give you a long series of numbers, that's your unlock code.
I initially used "Read unlock codes" and it gave me a bunch of bull**** numbers that don't do jack. Wasted a good 4 Euros to bring you this information.
I hope this helps whatever poor souls decide to buy themselves an Ascend Mate 2 in the future.
TL;DR **** Huawei
I have and continue to this day been able to use the Chinese site without ANY issues.

[MESUIT i6P Android Case] Interesting problem rooting an Android 5.1 Device

Hello there!
So I purchased the strangest "Android Phone" I've ever owned in the form of an iPhone case. Some folks around here probably know about this but for those who don't:
https://item.jd.com/3254140.html
It's essentially a phone within a case but minus the screen, camera and various other things. It "borrows" them from the iPhone itself. Anyway! As cool as that is (and I still think it's super cool in a geeky kind of way)... the issues I'm having are:
- I can't root this thing no matter what I try!
- I can't find the option within Developer Settings to enable ADB debug mode (I suspect either a build.prop value disabled it or I've got a modified settings app.)
- I can't get Play Store installed on the thing.
It's a straight from China device so it's tricky to setup and use but I've just about managed it for the most part. As I say - the main problem is I can't root it so I can't install Play Store (I've tried the "no root" options but they seem to force close and/or be unable to connect to google services despite the fact that the /system/etc/hosts file only has localhost in it.)
Any help would be greatly appreciated and I'm more than happy to tip anyone who manages to help me get this thing rooted or at least running Play Store in some other way!
Thanks!
Managed to root it - info over at:

Willed a phone - totally locked out due to former owner's Google account. Help!?

My uncle died and I was given his Nexus 6. I factory reset it, after which I was prompted log in with the Google account originally synced with the phone - which is his. I know his email (Gmail) but obviously not password. I've tried everything, including talking to T-Mobile, Google, Nexus, Motorola, and filling out a bereavement form with Google. I'm stuck. I want to be able to use this nice phone and gift (I lost my phone in the mountains and am using the oldie but goodie flip phone - ha!).
I think I understand that rooting means wiping out the current OS and replacing it - and this will allow me access to the phone. I've googled for some info, but most videos or articles are a year + old; I'd like most update info if anyone has it.
I got feedback from one Android forum that rooting will likely not even help me access the phone because of Factory Reset Protection.
Can anyone verify this and give me any direction?
Thank you!

(What are) Must have APPS and To-Do to newbies to Galaxy S9+ (?)

Hey all.
Within a couple of days I'm getting my new Galaxy S9+ (Exynos) phone.
I made a year break from Android and switched to Apple, and now I'm back.
Unfortunately, I know nothing about newest Galaxy phones.
Maybe anyone has suggestions what should I do (download) when I'll set-up my phone (I've watched all the reviews of "must have" etc., don't suggest me to do that)?
I used to root and unlock bootloader for each my android phone, but I won't do that to my Galaxy S9+ at least for 6 months.
Hence, many root apps not working: "AdAway", "Viper4Android" etc.,
Maybe anyone knows Ad Blocking app without rooting a phone?
Or just mention anything that newbie to Galaxy S9+ should know.
(If you're wondering why am I "spamming" with these "stupid" questions: And no, I didn't find any similar thread to this)
Thanks in advance!
I use to root and rom all my phones, but I don't think it is as necessary as before.
I also use to download all the tweaks, but I don't do that either.
Non-root to block adds try Blokada it is in the F-Droid store.
It is Free and it Works.
I also swear by ES File Explorer to view and move files on your app. Also to sync any cloud storage you have.
If you have a regular phone number and google voice number going to the same phone
Voice Choice 2.0 is a nice app that allows you to make calls with a specific number
i.e. family and close friends have you carrier number
work partners, resume, business line has your google number
when you make a call you don't have to select anything, based on your rules set up it will dial out using the appropriate number.

check out this thread at your own risk. It works I disabled Facebook (don't see why that would be on and unlocked phone fro Samsung, but i digress)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s9-plus/how-to/s9-s9-bloatware-removal-thread-g960u-t3817810
Be careful with the commands and understand what is being done before you hit the enter/return key
Good thing about disabling is if you fubar the phone you can do a factory restore and start all over
I only disabled Facebook. will investigate the other software as i play with the phone. Only had it 2 weeks so far.

Question Nokia X10 (X20) Android 13 chances of new ROM/ some-any ways to override settings/ "jail-break"???

In short : X10, UK, Android 13 - thanks, no thanks!
0 actual improvements as per discussed to some degree on Nokia "support forum".
Silly bloatware "features" added, but nothing what would be useful.
Have tried 50 apps of different kinds, enabling permissions (+ "developer mode"), yet still haven't found any that would record other person's voice, even thus is being transmitted via speaker or loudspeaker (heard).
Turns out down to legality issue, where's google has decided to undertake... 4'th party "responsibility, (3'rd would be Nokia), (1'st would be myself) and 2'nd party in it is the person who is to be it warned or not being recorded. Utter nonsense!
Looks like I cannot even downgrade back to neither Android 12 or 11 and custom ROM is the only option without any guarantees it'll work...
Deal breaker, and if I'll fail to find a fix or "jail-break this "feature"" will mean me binning my X10 for the older phone WITHOUT restrictions for recording, as google got scared of legality in CONTROLLING features and abilities of what it deemed as "their business" in EU and UK.
Turns out the back-up I've created is locked too- can not access it to upload for someone to have a play on virtual machine.
Deleted disabled most of google "feature" apps- still absolute the same my phone, but NOT mine, as OS is so great, it takes care of everything, including any chance to change permisions or the way it is set up.
Disappointed is understatement.
If anyone has ANY ideas how to fix this problem- I'd love to hear or if anyone would find a working bootloader for me to upload back up files- I'd love ANY suggestions,
Thanks!

I'm pretty sure there's a Magisk module that helps you with that problem. Requires you to unlock your phone's bootloader, though, which requires you to wipe your data on the phone.
Right (wrong so far)
Nokia_HMD_Fire_Tool_V1.4_Official
Doesn't run at all on my config
