Hello Guys, I want to change my Android with newer version, because my Android box works on Android 4.4. I want to install newer version of Android like 6.0.1 or newer, but I can't find newer version on Android.

It's because Amlogic never released the updated SDK for that chipset. That's why it's nearly impossible to do it, unless you know porting and can scrape off things from similar chipsets.

No, if the stock update is for your device, then it's compatible with it, because the company released it for you, any android phone is upgradable but the phone's company just remove support of its old devices.
I'm using galaxy s2 and running nogut 7.1.1
Why cant I install the latest version of android on my old phone(can only update to specific version) unlike windows. Like I cannot update my Acsend Y520 to android Lolipop or marshmallow.
Hi everyone,
I'm considering building a new Custom ROM for my Teclast X98 Plus tablet to get new features and security updates.
However I've never done that before, but as there are other Custom ROMs I think it must be possible somehow
The Android version of the original firmware is 5.1, also Mireks ROM for the tablet is based on that and also the available Remix OS 2.0 I guess.
My question is: Do you think it is possible to build a mostly working ROM based on a newer version like Marshmallow, Nougat or even Oreo?
And is it possible to extract the proprietary blobs and drivers from an existing ROM and get them working on the newer Android?
I've seen that on other devices, but I don't know where they got the blobs and other stuff needed.
Any input would be appreciated
Hey guys ,

Hi everyone, I'm wondering what specs a smartphone needs to run Android 10. I got a 2015 smartphone (Umi Iron Pro), can I flash a ROM based on Android 10?

A ROM has to be compiled for your device and its specs. You can't flash any ROM as you wish. Search if any are available.
I know that but my question was different. I'm sorry for my english but if I compile a ROM based on android 10 for my phone, would it run on that phone, who is from 2015?
