Wait , you unlocked your bootloader's yet you have no idea how to flash twrp or root your device.. did either of you back up ta. partition? Anyway go look in the Rom, kernel ect thread, look for modpunks twrp thread and go to page 13 or 14 for the twrp that works and do your homework on how to flash it...

I don't see any chance of official MIUI for redmi 3 to get marshmallow update tbh, if u want marshmallow try the unofficial cyanogenmod

after flashing TWRP don't reboot to system
just flash another rom (custom rom) or flash dm verity disabler(some thing like that because i don't know the exact name hahaha)
the point is, if you are using custom recovery after unlocking bootloader use custom rom too
but if you just plan to unlock the bootloader without installing custom recovery or rom is ok too

Hi, it happend to my phone too, first you must flash a custom room, if you like miui 8, the only you have to do is modify the file Boot.img this one is located at the images folder of miui flashing files, then you con flash the twrp, it works really good

[KERNEL] 7.1.1 [41.2.A.7.8] & [.235] Xperia XZs [G8232 & G8231]

Hey guys, here are the modified rootable kernels for the Xperia XZs [G8232 & G8231] 7.1.1 fw
Kernel G8232 FW 41.2.A.7.8
Kernel G8232 FW 235
Kernel G8231 FW 235
Thanks to tobias.waldvogel for his awesome resources.
Don't forget to flash the recovery. Here's the link
Recovery
Also, recovery can be accessed only through the official way i.e.
Power off >> Press the power key and the volume down key simultaneously >> As soon as the SONY logo appears, release ONLY the power key, don't release the volume down key >> After 20-30 seconds the device will enter recovery mode.
Please copy the flashable SuperSU zip file to the external sd card before entering recovery as the internal memory can't be accessed in recovery.

HI I get stuck on Sony logo when I flash the kernel. I'm guessing it would be due to me being on the US 219 build. Would that be the reason?

I have a Hong Kong firmware phone, can i download another country firmware with .235?
At the moment my bootloader is unlocked, and my camera not working properly. I really want to at least

Resurrection Remix without Root

Is it possible to install the Resurrection Remix on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 without root?
If so, is there a guide somewhere that shows how to do it?
Thanks.
Okay the answer is no
But not the root is required the open boot loader is needed
And you can lock the boot loader again so no need to be afraid

I thought Xiaomi will unlock the bootloader if you request to do so. I've sent a request from here:
http://en.miui.com/unlock/
If Xiaomi do unlock my bootloader, is a root still required?

You just need an Unlocked boot loader
After waiting a month, I have finally got my Redmi Note 4 and have managed to :
- Unlock the bootloader
- Install TWRP
Do I need to install "lazyflasher-no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip", if I wish to now install Resurrection Remix or any custom ROM, or can I avoid installing this file and install Resurrection Remix, if I don't want to root my phone?

You don't need to flash lazyflasher.zip on a custom Rom. Root? Most if the Roms are rootless..
Thanks Sachin.
Somehow I've managed to root the device and I'm not sure how. All I did after the above was install Resurrection Remix with GApps. I installed Titantium Backup, which confirmed root access. Is there anyway I can unroot it?
Why would you want to unroot? If the bootloader is unlocked there is no reason to not root a device. Flash Magisk and go ahead.

No twrp was used @Yogart99 , check my post over the development section for more info.
Just to be consistent with your question, I used Magisk to patch the bootloader and got root BUT CAN'T upgrade to the latest march security patch.
