HNFit is a new Watchface that was based on the Greatfit project of GreatAPO.
It has several new and unique features:
- Highly customizable.
For now: background colors, hour colors, minute colors.
- Built in pedometer, which based on the set height and the steps taken, calculates the distance traveled in KM.
I always felt a big limitation of my Pace only being able to see the distance traveled in sport mode. (today and total)
So in this new watchface I programmed a pedometer to give this information.
- One user customizable widget.
From Greatfit app the top right widget is user personalized.
- Information about current, maximum and minimum temperature of the current day on the watchface
- Battery bar, weekdar bar, distance goal bar.
- Many options
Devices:
Amazfit Pace and Stratos.
Known bugs:
The pedometer distance does not update while the screen is off/locked. When you unlock phone the distance will be recalculated..
To do:
- Add more items to be color customized.
- Fix locked screen not being updated.
- more...
Installation:
ADB install command: adb install -r HNFit_X.X.apk
Or
Use Apk Installer
No root required

Looks good, but any big differences i don't see in it. It's the same GreatFit watch face, just changed some places of widgets, added more options like to change minute colour and ect, but if say honest it's looks like updated GreatApo watch faces version. Nothing special i don't see here. You could to change design much more, from: icons, to visualizations and ect. If i'm not wrong you even did not changed style of clock at all
This text on top of this topic:"HNFit is a new a totally new Watchface that was based on the Greatfit project of GreatAPO." sounds very very weird, it's not totally new, it's just updated
By the way waht is mean down 17 hours degrees? I thought 25 mean weather temperature, so what is mean others degrees? I'm talking about 28/17C? First screenshot

"It's the same GreatFit watchface"?!?!
Different style of the clock, different fonts, color customization, a completely different design.
New and different bars: with battery, weekday, distance.
The icons on the watchface are new, except the icons from the user widget.
The settings icons are from GreatFit, they work fine and for now I did not see the need to change them.
Also I programmed a new real Pedometer!! Instead of having a widget saying all day 0 KM, you now have a working pedometer showing an estimation of the distance walked.
I surely was prepared to some negative comments but this is too much!
I really don't know why I wasted my time sharing my work...
The only thing I think you're right about is the "totally new" part, it makes no sense and I already corrected it.
PS: about 28/17ºC it's on the first post "maximum and minimum temperature of the current day", also it's something new and different from GreatFit!
Maybe you should pay more attention and read before you post?

I don't think people are trying to slight your work, but if you could let others know how to use and operate and benefit from it, then people can appreciate. Such as, what do you mean by programming a new pedometer? You mean you have a start/stop button to control when to measure? What's the difference with using that than the built in pedometer which starts counting steps from 0:00 everyday, etc? It's difficult for people to appreciate when no clear instructions were given, and all they can see if a slightly revised watch face. Don't you agree?
Thanks for ur efforts
Is it possible to customize a widget so that it shows an output of another app?

I agree.
But I also agree that I have described the function and people should READ AND try to TEST and understand things:
- Built in pedometer, which based on the set height and the steps taken, calculates the distance traveled in KM.
I always felt a big limitation of my Pace only being able to see the distance traveled in sport mode. (today and total)
So in this new watchface I programmed a pedometer to give this information.
Also you could install the watchface and try it before making these kind of comments.
There is a line between being critical or being rude. And you have no idea what this line is.
Thank you
Thanks for watchface! Phone battery widget shows incorrect data for me.
I'll try to clarify the built in pedometer part.
Me personally on the weekdays when I go to work I never start any activity and my distance widget would always say 0.0 KM walked. Even if I take 10.000 steps.
All default watchfaces of Pace/Stratus only have two types of distance, the today distance and the total distance of the sports activities in KM or in Miles.
The new feature in HNFit is a widget that estimates the distance walked (in KM or in Miles) based on the steps and the height of the person, like a physical pedometer
If it's still not understandable please tell me to try to clarify more.
Out of curiosity, what method did you use to make the pedometer work when the screen is locked (slpt)? I have a custom watchface I customized/tweaked from GreatFit, and I have a very basic distance walked widget, but it doesn't work when the screen is locked yet. I was looking at the various posts in GreatFit and saw that there were several possible ways to handle it (decompile/edit service/apk, use time-based update [like world time], or use full slpt-refresh [like weather]), but wasn't sure which was the best method to go with.
Hello, thank you for your WF! A few remarks:
1. Does not work well on Verge (layout is broken) ;
2. Background color isn't background actually, but accent color (other graphics besides time/text);
3. It breaks if "seconds hand always on" is enabled, a restart is required to fix;
4. The user widget always show "BPM" while screen is locked, overwriting whatever info is there.
If I could make a suggestion, I think there are better looking fonts, maybe a LCD digital one.
Keep it up, and simply disregard some bad comments, there are jerks everywhere.
Regards.

About your remarks:
1. This Watchface, as stated on the title, is only made/tested for Pace/Stratus.
I would like to make it also for verge, but I don't have one. And I can only debug on the physical watch.
2. Thank you, I had the feeling, I was wrong calling it background color. Accent is much more correct, I will fix this on the next version.
Also I've being thinking and I will add the possibility to change the real background color, to extend the user possibility to customize the watchface even more.
3. I don't know what "seconds hand always on" is... maybe a Verge only option?
4. This happens sometimes when changing lots of settings. When this happens could you reboot the watch and check if the "background text" disappears?
Thank you for your remarks.

1. Fair enough, I just wanted to make it clear, there is always someone asking "this works on XXX"?
2. Great idea, an "inverted" option (black text on white bg) is very welcome!
3. No, I tested it on Pace, go to watch Settings -> General/Common -> Watchface;
4. Maybe, I will test again when you release a new version, possibly with a better looking font for time.

Ok I'll work on it, maybe this weekend if I have time.
About number 4 I like the current font, but I could add multiple "selectable" fonts. It would be nice.
If you have any (free) font suggestion, please tell me.

It’s great, I like a lot. Can you add this font too?
https://www.whatfontis.com/FF_Ghoul.font
It looks very good.
As for the function of changing the background, it would be good to change the background only of the part of the clock as in the images and the original prototype WF, it is more visual.
Thanks for sharing your work!

That's good to hear.
I will try to include this font as well.
Including multiple fonts will be a little more complicated than I originally thought because each font has different sizes and you need to take this into account when placing the digits on the screen.
But I think it will be possible
If it is the same as WFZ, the numbers from the font are converted to PNG, then you just need to resize them. If you use the font directly, then there should be no problem...

Very good work! The main point of GreatFit project is exactly this, other devs been able to improve and create new watchfaces. Thank you very much for sharing your work and your code!
Users can go hard on you many times. Mind that from their point of view they are not aware of the code/work behind, but some do :fingers-crossed:. Try to be positive and keep up the good work :good:

ScreenSaver is a simple application that runs in the background. When the device is plugged in (ActiveSync or mains) it pops to the foreground and displays the time (more to come). To hide it, swipe down the screen, to close it, swipe up the screen (note, if OS < 6.5, tap minimizes, there's not close as yet). It uses your device settings for time (IE, 24 hour/AMPM/whatever) so there's nothing to change.
Requirements:
WM6.5+ device (touchscreen only)
20kb storage, (up to) 200kb free RAM (on a WVGA device, so less on smaller resolutions) (up to) 2MB free RAM with wallpaper.
To do:
Add a nice start menu icon (anyone fancy making one?)
Add icons for notifications
Possibly make it a lockscreeny like thing (
Possibly add an image that gets slid down (rather than just hoping that will minimize it)
Any suggestions?

Nice idea mate. It would be nice to have a fully fledged "powered" screen like this. I'll keep an eye on this. It's always bugged me that screensavers aren't the norm on wm devices.

What do you mean by "powered" in this case? Keeping the device on?
I've added a few things in the beta I'm working on, but will aim to make it all customisable so you can switch things off...
Date is now displayed (can be turned off)
Slider to slide down the screen to hide (can be turned off)
Basic support for email/text/stuff - it displays a few numbers in the top corner (can be turned off as well
To attempt to make this as lean as possible, I'm going to try and minimise the number of options there are...
Is a slider a good idea?
If yes, would it be best to have the clock slide with the slider, or be independent?
Should I support images, or just have block colour?
Where should the date go (if anywhere)? Attached to the time, at the top, where?
Where should notifications go?
If anyone vaguely interested in this can give me some feedback, I'll know what I'm aiming for!

I think a slider's a good idea, but then again, I can't really think of a better way of doing it, so it may just be the easiest for me to agree to! I like the idea of the whole screen sliding down with the swipe of my thumb, clock and notifications included.
I'd personally like to have the ability to select a wallpaper, or a solid colour of my choice, but if you want to keep it lean then that may be overkill.
Again, this is a personal choice, but I like the idea of the date under the clock, in a small font.
I like notifications at the top, but again, that's just me.
Maybe you could come up with some clever way of defining the layout in an xml file so that people could edit it - position, font size etc.. (or any old text/ini file).
Heh - have I just turned your simple idea into a massive app? I'm just greedy mate
Incidentally, when I said "powered" earlier, I meant externally powered. This would be perfect for me as I have my phone plugged into my PC at work, and usually turn the screen off. It would be nice to have something dedicated to looking good in those circumstances.
Hope this gives you some ideas anyway

I'd say just make the clock slide up or down.
I personally like the simple black background.
Date attached to the clock (maybe under it,small)
Notifications could be in a sort of HTC Home layout under the clock and date with their respective icons next to them.
Here is a crappy little mock up I pushed out with PS:
Keep up the great work,

Hi,
You should look at the "Zune lock screen". You should fine good ideas about the unlock "slider"
maybe somthing like this (dockrunner from droid)
Updated!
It's now got a slider thing, and a pretty animation!
I'm now going to add email icons etc.
Anyone here any good with photoshop? Could do with a nicer icon, and three images for email, text and voicemail...

got an idea to share
Is it possible to do so? As in when you slide the bar down, the clock will sort of follow from the back (the clock does not stay in the bar like the one in the video). Then you quickly slide the bar up (without unlocking the phone), the clock will have a momentum kind of effect then only it bounds back to the bar. (personally it looks kind of cool and fun to play )
Oh yea, 1 more thing, is it possible to add some animation, eg. after unlocking the phone the notification bar or maybe the clock and date will "fly out" to the edge and vice versa when the phone is lock. (kind of like iPhone style animation )
cheers~
Loving the app lv...simple, elegant, and practical. All thats needed is there and I think going with simplicity like chrisch showed with the Droid dock screen is perfect. One question though, what the HE** did you do to your HD2 screen I dont even have on and it hurt to see it. lol!
Oh, I dont see a slider or sliding animations in the 2nd release. Am I missing something? As well, I've noticed if I have the device powered off and plug in, then sometimes just the lockscreen will stay up. Does it work best when the lock isnt enabled?
edit** after further testing, it does work best if the device is already awake and unlocked. It doesnt activate when I have the device locked.

DAAAMMMNNNN!! Only words to express it
I like the idea of keeping it simple. For more functions there are plenty of lockscreens.
Just 2 things that could be improved in my opinion:
1. Make the clock bigger and and let there be more contrast between font and background( When you look at th screen in a too big angle you can only see a gray bar on a black screen, but no time)
2. Option to turn the screen off after a few minutes
One more thing:
On my Blackstone there is no problem because under the screen is no edge, but especially on some older models it could be difficult to reach the bottom with the slider. You just have to make it minimize when the bottom slider is touching the bottom of the screen so it should be really easy to implement it but it will save you from some complains .
edit:
Just now I noticed that I miss another thing that you normally want to know when you charge your phone: Battery
Since this app starts when the device is charging it should definitely contain a battery indicator where you can see hom many % battery you have.
I think keeping the screen simple is a good idea. Just keep displaying a bar with time and date, email+text messages+missed call counters as well as an alert symbol, if there is a notification from calender or clock. A good idea will be to keep this "bar of information" moving at random locations on the screen.
Keeping the screen black is specially a great idea for phones like Omnia II with AMOLED screens as these phones shut down all the pixels that are to be rendered pure black and that saves a lot of power. For regular LCD's this is not the case though.
l3v5ys
Dear l3v5ys,
first thanks alot, i have my own suggestion...
i think if we make the screen save more graphical that would be awesome. and more prodcutive or informative.
and i guess the screen saver should iformative about the battery ???
how to make the screen saver work when you plug in the device, because it works for me just when i click in the icon in the start menu, that mean every time i should do that ? ? ?
brilliant app...minimalistic approach keep it up..
@ goldenhero:
You just have to start the program once and after you have done that it will automatically launch when you plug the usb in.
I guess an autostart option wouldn't be a bad idea.
Bug
Device : omnia i900
when you plug the device , first time it took, 3-4 secound for the screenSaver to appear, and once you slide the clock to unlock, and plug again it dose not work again alone, i should relunch the relaunche the program, any i deas...
thanks for the program and the idea .....
honestly i like the slide clock to unlock it is nice but can we improve the touch in this small app ? .....
[APP] < CarPal > Monitor maintenance for several cars with autoreminders | v0.91 beta
UPDATE April 4: I decided to stop the development for the WM OS. I sold my WM phones and switched over to Android (N1). I'll continue working on this app for that OS. Sorry to whoever was waiting for updates for WM, and a HUGE "thank you" to guys who provided feedback/requests for features.
The whole idea was to create a modernly-designed application for my Rhodium that would keep track of different maintenance tasks for my car. What makes this app different from the others is that you set how many miles you drive per day (on the average we drive same amount, give or take), that will allow the App to "predict" what your car's odometer shows. Based on that (+ depending on how many days ahead you want the reminder to be) it will throw a reminder telling you about that particular task.
Currently, the project in is beta. It's fully usable, but not yet as easy/convenient/cool as I want it to be. Of course, I expect there to be bugs, but mostly visual, non-critical stuff that I'm still working on. For curious minds, data is stored in CarPalData.xml in the working folder, unencrypted. I decided to keep it that way for easy access and modification.
If anybody wants to tinker with this on his/her own, lemme know, I'll make it open-source.
Update Feb 26: Sorry guys, got a real big project at work right now, no time for on-the-side development... Should free up next week or so, I definitelly want to add some cool new features to CarPal. Thanks for all the feedback - I'll use it to prioritize the new features. Most likely expect the bike support, gas usage/stats and Dutch/Spanish/Italian languages in next release. Hang tight =)
Please send me your translations!
To translate the app, follow these simple steps:
1. Install the app.
2. Go to \Device\Program Files\CarPal\ and grab the CarPalTranslations.xml file from there.
3. Inside the file, duplicate the "English" node, and rename it to your language name.
4. Translate all the strings in your new node, just make sure you keep the node names intact, only rename the contents of the "string" attribute.
5. Send me your file and you'll see your language in the new release!
Features:
Works with any "decent" resolution (Q|VGA, W|VGA, landscape + portrait).
Wizard-based data entry
High-contrast design to be easily visible outside
Keep track of multiple cars in the same app
Create multiple tasks for every car
Automatic reminders based on how many miles you drive per day on average
Add additional details to your tasks, like locations, owners, etc.
New in version 0.91b:
Multi-language support. Comes with English and Russian by default. Very easy XML translation, contact me if you wanna translate it.
New item in settings - can switch languages from there.

Still being worked on:
If you hide the app instead of exiting, it will hide too damn well. hard to bring it back up.
Some visual bugs
Get rid of that horrible icon.
Integrating reminders into system reminders
Testing how well the app behaves when it's hidden (running in the background)
Improving interface to be more clear as to where user is at, etc
Non-touchscreen device support. So far app relies on users tapping on buttons.
Add csv importing funtions
Some easy method of translating interface to diff. languages
Other things on my list...
I'd love some feedback, if you tried it - let me know how it worked for you, and what are your thoughts.
And remember - I keep all data in a separate xml file, so you won't lose any data as the app is updated. So feel free to enter your stuff into the app, just backup the CarPalData.xml as needed.

While I'm adding that to settings, you can still use it fine, numbers are numbers, there's nothing in the functionality that would "care" if it's in actual miles, kilometers or millimeters =)
I'll add that setting today/tomorrow.

New version - 0.91beta:
Multi-language support. Comes with English and Russian by default.
New item in settings - can switch languages from there.
If you want to translate it, let me know so I can add your language to the install package.
Translation is very easy - install the CAB, then get the CarPalTranslation.xml file from the install directory.
In there, just create a new "Language" node, copy/paste any existing language, and modify the strings. You can test it right there, just launch the App, go to settings, and switch to your language. Remember that app-restart is required.
More stuff is coming in the next version...
very, very interesting! this would be a very useful app. i'm looking forward to it. i am also for a list of regular maintenance that can be ticked for each car, e.g. oil change, tire rotation, wheel alignment, etc., and reminds you of it based on the set mileage, let's say, every 3,000 miles.

At this time you can do all of that, except for creating one task for several cars at the same time. I'm still working on that.
If you have just 1 car, that won't really make a difference for you, so you're good to go. For several cars, I'm working on creating a nice table that will let you handle all of them easily and at the same time.
Give it a nice test run and let me know if it works for ya =)
P.S: table functionality is coming next week, most likely.
Thanks=)
Looking forward to try this out.
looks nice
requests (if you please):
- different background (I for one use this for my motorcycle, not car)... if you can't allow us to choose background then at least give two options: (1) MY bike (a BMW R1200GS) (2) a plain background (maybe the popular carbon fiber one)
- ability to import CSV
that's all before I even try it more after I do

Made a Dutch translation for you, but can't get it work. I'm sure you wil fix it.I overwrote the English text in the editor and after that I saved the file again. I do not know what I've done wrongI hope you can add it soon! Could not upload the xml.file, so i did it in text format
TATAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, it works great now!
I add the English file again and now it works
I also commended alongside a few comments or suggestions. Obviously intended positive
- ability to add dealer or servicepoint, contactperson, adres etc.(maybe dealerlogo) or linked with a Pocket Outlook Contact.
- larger field for notes, more information about task/service
- more matching fontsize in userinterface and textinput fields.
Userinterface is a bit to small, text input to big in my opinion.
- task/service planning also possible with scheduling (pocket agenda), not only by km or miles(Most services are km based but also time based)Sound Alerts can also be planned with the Agenda alarmfunction.
- background change or switch for each car or motorcycle(more evident).At aglance you can see more quickly which car ot motorcycle is meant for a service.
- creating a masterlist for service or maintenance with checkbox option.
So that you can create a todo-list from that masterlist for each service, car or motorcycle.
Succes with development!
ok tried it - seems it is missing the most important feature for me - fuel and fuel statistics
anyway keep up the good work, I'll check it out from time to time
nice app... will definitely give it a try...: )
does this app require the GPS to be turned on all the time or do you periodically update the distance travelled?
Hi Guys,
Here is my first contribution to the community. I have written an application that is capable of doing some basic drawing/image editing functions and hoped it is useful.
Imagine that you take some photos using your phone and want to upload them right away to your facebook. However You might want to edit/draw them before. In that case, this app might help!

Hi Livven,
Just added the screenshots. Hope that helps!
If anyone has tested it, please let me know your feedbacks.
I have only two devices I can use to test the application. It would be great to know how it behaves on other devices.
Hey Menos,
I have been looking for a basic drawing program that I can use on my Qvga screen (wing/herald) but so far I am unable to find one that can do what I am looking for. I just caught this thread just before bed tonight so tomorrow I will try it out. In the meantime, an issue I have run across with all other paint programs thus far is anti-aliasing (AA) at full magnification. When I am zoomed in all the way, either the program itself or my wing is AA'ing everything. What I am looking for is a program similar to MSPaint where at full magnification I can draw pixel by pixel, line by line, without the blurry effect of AA. I really hope this is only a system limitation on my end so when I do decide on a new device I will be able to use this. Let me know if all portable drawing programs will do this or if you have any idea how to either change the program/settings or possible a way to disable AA on my device temporarily. As you can see from my avatar, I kill time by making pixel cars and would love to use my phone for that purpose. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Dan,
I would say that currently you will see AA in my application due to the drawing algorithm of gdi+ I'm using. However, yes it is possible to draw enlarged images without having AA. You can see an example, when you try to select an image for the Stample tool. If you image is smaller than the preview picture box, it should be enlarged without having AA. Let me know if this is the case for your device. If not, then it means that your device might do AA additionally.
I will add an option to next release to choose whether to enable AA for displaying enlarged images or not. Thanks for your thought!
Menos,
Thanks for the quick response. I took your advice and tried a few things. I installed the .cab file and the first thing I noticed is the inability to search the SD card contents to open a file. After saving an image to the phone I could easily open, just an extra step. First attempt, the zoom function is nice but does not zoom in far enough to see individual pixels for alteration. I also noticed that your program lacks a straight line drawing tool. I do the majority of my drawing with the line tool, if possible, please add. After zooming into my PNG image (width 425 X height 115) I noticed that there was AA. Second attempt, I tried another PNG image (around 100 X 100) to see if a smaller image at full zoom produced the same result. It did, still AA'd at full zoom. Third attempt was using your stamp tool which I must say is a great addition to the program. This tool allowed me to see the entire PNG (100 X 100) image without AA and was able to increase the size which in turn increase the magnification after the image was stamped. Only problem, after I stamped the image, everything was anti aliased once again. I hope this helps in some way. Let me know if you need any further testing on a Qvga screen and I would be more than happy to oblige. I will keep an eye on this thread for future releases.

Hi Dan,
Thanks for your information. Yeah as I stated before, that the previous version used gdi+ to draw image and I have no control over the algorithm it uses. However, I have updated the application to have an option, not to do AA when rendering image.
Additionally I have added the line tools and increase the max zoom to 800% as requested.
For the problem that you don't find the files on you SD card, that is already known to me. This is because the default open file dialog does not look for files in all folders. (but it does if you have folder like my documents on your sd card). I am planning to create my own dialog box later.
Please try the new version and let me know if that meets your need?
Perfect!
The additions fit my needs and hopefully the needs of your other potential end users as well. The magnification is exactly what I was looking for. It gets me in far enough to change the image one pixel at a time. I can also confirm that your AA option works perfectly. You have no idea how thrilled I was to see that my device wasn't the problem and that it was capable of seeing a raw image with the proper setting. As of right now I can also confirm that the program works perfectly on my QVGA screen. There are a few more things I would like to request, I hope you do not mind.
-Eye-dropper tool: I use this hand in hand with the line tool to pull a color from the image or a shade chart and would love it if this tool was considered for future releases.
-Eraser tool: I wonder if there is a way to use the eraser tool in a manner similar to MSPaint. In MSPaint, with both a primary and secondary color selected, one could change the primary color in the image to the secondary color by holding the right mouse key while pressing the left key over the area in need of a color change. Could this be possible while holding a soft key at the same time the tool is run over an image? Just a thought.
-Selector tool: I use this in conjunction with a copy/paste function in MSPaint to select and move pieces around as needed. Would a copy and paste function also be possible?
This is a great program already and it is still considered a beta. I am thankful for your willingness to go out of your way to accommodate my needs. I hope I didn't come off in that tone. This is the first program I have seen in development that I felt a need to support. If there is anything you need by way of testing, please do not hesitate to ask. I cannot contribute to your fund at this time but would like to offer my services for the time being. Thank you again for your quick response and even faster update.

Hi Dan,
I will add your request to my to do list. The first two shouldn't be much difficult, but for the selector, I will have to spend sometime on it.
Menos,
This is an absolutely brilliant app.
Thank you very much.
Would it be possible to:
- improve a litle bit the drawing function (difficult to draw some real curves. It tends to make some lines instead of curves).
- propose more colors
- improve the quality of the Icon resolution.
Thanks. I really adore your app.
Amazing to see it's only a beta. There is so much potential in it.
PS, for the drawing part, I use PocketPicture ( http://sites.google.com/site/osdmsoftware/pocketpicture ). it's not bad. Maybe it can help to find some ideas.
Hi Guys,
Sorry for late reply, I was busy for some other stuff. Together with this post, I released the version 1.1, which has some improvement as stated in the change log.
I will have limited time to work on this app. Any comments are still welcome, but I cannot commit to work fast on them!
Wow! Very nice app! Thanks for your contribution!
Hi,
I installed the app, it installed fine on my HD2. I did run the program and it loaded nice, but when trying to open a image on my device, it was not responding at all, it even keeps freezing my device and a soft-reset is necessary.
I use the Energy ROm of 13 may the GTX version.
Greetings,

I do have the latest .net CF (3.5). I have a lot of other apps using the .net without problem. It is also cooked in with the ROM. (Energy ROM; one of the best)
I have got the same prob as Birger has: freezing a.s.a. I press "open" to open a file.
I also have a HD2, with a custom ROM (MIRI v10, WwM6.5.x).
I'm sure I have the newest versions of .NET FW, since I installed the newest .NET FW version to solve the batt. draining issue of the newest version of advanced home tab from c0okiemonster...
Hope this can be solved, since I think I will like the app.
Being aware of your own speed can always come in handy, whether you want to avoid breaking limits, to verify your vehicle’s performance, your own, or just out of plain curiosity.
So here comes my latest creation, SpeedoPhone updated to the release 1.31.
If you have a WM device with GPS and you want to keep your speed under control, SpeedoPhone is what you need. You can use it when you’re on foot, in your car, on a train, on a plane, on boat or wherever you like.
The app has a Windows Phone 7 look, nice, user friendly and pleasing to the eye; as for the possibilities and information it has to offer, here's what we've got.
The first steps are the same as always: download the cab from the link at the bottom of the page, install it on your device, open it and you’ll get to the home page.

It's simple and intuitive. The app will automatically get the GPS running upon loading, but it's possible to switch it on and off manually with the GPS button. Once the phone has found and fixed enough satellites to work with, the START button will be enabled. Click on it to start your record.
I hope you'll find this app useful and that you'll enjoy working with it. It's available for free, but, as usual, if you'd like to say thanks a coffee would be nice.

Description
The first data available on the screen is the instantaneous speed, with Km/h as default measure unit. You can change it to miles per hour (Mph) or knots (Kn) by tapping on it.
The app will also give you information on the distance you've covered, the average speed you’ve kept, the highest speed you’ve reached, how much time has passed, and - if you select the cost-per-kilometer option - how much it is so far.
Select the
button to keep alive the device, so not to let it go on stand by and have it automatically disable the GPS. The
button, on the other hand, will activate the full screen option that further on we'll examine more in detail.
Let’s now see the option menu instead, accessible via the
button.
From there, it's possible set a series of controls to keep your speed under check. By specifying a maximum value for the instantaneous and/or average speed, exceeding that limit will cause the speed indicator to turn red and a sound signal to go off. If you'd like the app to work as a kind of taximeter, or if you want to know how much your travel is costing you, you can set a cost per kilometer. You can also specify how precise you want the instantaneous speed to be: an integer, a one- or a two-figure decimal. When the fullscreen mode is on we are also shown a series of buttons, showing different speeds, to switch quickly between the limits more common to us. And, last but not least, you can have the app record a log with the data of your travel. The app will remember our favorite settings also on each following use.
Here, the menu where it's possible to select which limits to show on the fullscreen mode.
Once we’ve got back to the home page, clicking the
button will take us to a screen with more specific information, this time relative to the GPS signal. That means that we will be able to see how many satellites the device is able to detect, how many it has fixed, what is the current dilution of precision of the GPS, our altitude, latitude and longitude.
Let's now see aspect and functions of the Landscape mode, activated by rotating the device.
The home page is fairly close to the one we've already seen, except for the slightly different layout of the buttons. Tap on
to activate the full-screen (also available in Portrait): since there are times when a lot of information is too much, and rather than being a help it just hinders us, on here you will only see the instantaneous speed, displayed as an integer and with a much bigger font, so to be clear and immediate.
We'll find the Keep Alive button on there as well; as for the unit of measure, again, if you want to change it you only need to tap on it. In order to be aware if the device is working or not, if the GPS signal is strong enough to work with you'll see the
icon appear on screen. And, at the bottom, the buttons to switch between preset limits.
With the 1.2 release some improvements have been made to the HUD mode. Accessible via the
button, it will show a mirrored version of the regular display. Why that? Try and put your device on the dashboard, you'll get to see your speed projected on the windshield.

HUD
Hi,
could you implement (in fullscreen mode) the "HUD" mode? that means informations are displayed "mirrored", and then you can put device on dashboard of a car - under windshield. Then all is displayed at glass - looks terrific
It would be great improvement.
Thanks
D.
Thanks fro sharing. Nice work. Ill buy you a coffee.
That is looking amazing savrix85. Simple in use. Well i will check can i change the icon more to CHT and possible white and black GTX. I will publish the first screenshots here...
EDIT 1:
What not so nice is, i can' t change the graphics.
Only the lamp on/off png.
Is there the posibillity in the future?
great
Thanks for your time and effort, looks nice

nice app
the ui is simple and clean just how i love it.
just tested it on a walk outside. worked pretty good after it took some seconds to find the sattelites
Really fantastic application!
Out of all the other similar applications that I've tried, this one actually works, and works great at it.
I have some suggestions, if it's not a problem:
I would like to see a logging feature to keep records.
What I'd also like is if it showed the "trip" start/end times and a total duration from when you tap on "start" and when you tap "stop" which could also be included in the log.

Hi savrix85,
i have tested the app yesterday on my way at home and today in the morning on way to the office. Cool..to say it in one word. Simply to use and the right information. The app does what you have say.
Future request:
- possibillty to mirror the view to put the phone on the dash board in the car
- please remove the mondomobile.altervista.org from main to settings -> about screen. Because now it looks no longer clean and nice. I understand that you wil show the author, but every coder do this in about. Only an idea
- +1 for this from Max_Terrible
I would like to see a logging feature to keep records.
What I'd also like is if it showed the "trip" start/end times and a total duration from when you tap on "start" and when you tap "stop" which could also be included in the log.

Your app is one of the simplest and cleanest apps i have seen here on XDA. No schnick-schnack only clean. The balck and white contrast is very good for our old eyes . I will use the version i have downloaded yesterday, because it is clean on main and it is working. Thanks for sharing this fine app.
Really, nice App. Like someone else said, it actually works!!!
As an older user with, sadly, poorer eyesight, it would be nice to be able to make the font even bigger. Another thought would be the ability to set multiple speed points with the colour changing at the different points, eg the various speed limits 50kph, 60kph, 80kph, 100kph etc.
Once again, thanks for a useful app. Works well on my HD2
I've released SpeedoPhone 1.1. You can see the changelog in the third post.
Now the app is also available at the XDA Market.

1. DONE! It's in the 1.1 release.
2. Yeah, that was temporary to begin with. I have some ideas for the "about" section, in fact... but it's one of those things that gets postponed as long as there are features I have more fun working on
3. added to the to do list!
4. I've increased slightly the dimension of the font on the pages with info and settings, but I couldn't do more than that.
5. I'd prefer not to implement that one, but a feature that I'd like to work on is the possibility to set quickly a set of standard speed limits (50kph, 60kph, etc) just by tapping on a button.
Hi, first of all, many thanks for this cool app.
Ii notice this glitch and bad translation on the last release (see capture)...
And now some request :
-add altitude to dashboard and fullscreen
-add button to settings to open your homepage (with default browser not IE with the donate button)
-Improve the HUD quality button
-are you interresting by french translation ?
don't download the 1.1 version. I'll fix it this afternoon when I'm at home
is 1.1 available in english? looks cool

Bugs fixed in the 1.11 release, thanks for reporting them.
now your request:
-I've to say no to this cause I would leave the fullscreen as clean as possible and in the dashboard, in non-wide devices, there's no more space to add info.
-I've used IE cause using the default browser, Opera in my case, gives me an error when it tries to open the link. If I'll find the right solution, I'll make it.
-what do you mean? the HUD button shows "blurred" or simply you don't like it?
-yes, I'm interested. I'll PM you for this

I've released the 1.11. It fixes the bugs mentioned by Albator and some minor others
Problem with the new HUD mode.I have always a big 0,not center, km/h missing... Miss something ?
And for button quality, i like it but but it's glow (up, down, right, left) around circle.
I've made a little mistake in the HUD code, now it should be ok
In the HUD mode the mirrored speed is aligned to the left cause you can see it aligned to the right in your windshield. It's not centered cause I had to do that with images to combine to show the mirrored speed. When I'll find a more elegant way to do that, I believe it will be centered.
Km/h misses cause I didn't want to mirror it.
If you download it again, the glow around the circle shouldn't be there any longer

One watch face to rule them all!™
Compatible with Pace/Stratos/Verge, fine tuned for Pace/Stratos
First, credits to whom it's due:
@LBA97 who created PrototypeSource and published its code, with also the contribution of others like Malwarez and Fabio Barbon ;
@GreatApo who created the most configurable and compatible APK watchface code: GreatFit (probably you don't know, but nowadays 90% or more of the APK watchfaces are based on its code);
@darkvoid_66 who designed and coded the original HNFit (https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/amazfit/watchface-hnfit-1-0-pace-stratos-t3951109). He had the idea for the multiple colors configuration and basic colors grid to simulate more colors that still look good when screen is locked.
I liked HNFit design a lot, but I didn't like the font used for the time (and also its bugs). I was disappointed to see that Hugo stopped its development so I asked him to release my own version, what he agreed with. All improvements also helped making GreatFit even better, as most of the new code/bug fixes were also added to it.
Basically, SuperFit is a much more improved HNFit with new features and bug fixes.
Features from GreatFit
Modular design (each item can be configured separately) with many customizations;
Configurable widgets: there is one user configurable widget, that can be chosen from many options, from heart rate to air pressure and altitude, that are updated in real time;
Progress bars to show some values;
Three letters or full week day name;
Three letters or number for month;
Remove initial zero from time and day/month;
Animated or not time separator and HR icon;
Verge support via scale factor (it means you can design for Pace/Stratos and then only fine tune the positions for Verge later).
Features from HNFit
Design based on stock Prototype (which I still think is one of the best looking ones that has lots of information on it);
Configurable colors: you can choose the colors/backgrounds of top/bottom, middle, accent, text, hour and minutes;
Pedometer: it can show an estimated distance based on your daily steps (make sure you set your correct height in settings);
Progress bars for battery, weekday and daily steps.
SuperFit features (new or improved from the above)
Three digital clock font options: Prototype, Digital and Thin;
Weather can be disabled to show Amazfit logo instead;
Optional custom background: save a square image smaller than 640x640 to /sdcard/Pictures/superfit.png and it will be used as background. You can then enabled/disable the background in settings;
Built-in multilingual support (Korean and Thai only work with Stratos or Verge because current Pace firmware lacks the required system fonts);
Option to disable progress bars;
Optional hourly chime (the watch makes two short vibrations every full hour, it is disabled while watch is in DND mode);
Starting week day setting (Sat/Sun/Mon);
Follow system's 12h/24h configuration or it can be set to always show AM/PM, as well as date and distance units (MM/DD and miles for US, DD/MM and km otherwise);
Follow system's "seconds always on" (available in GreatFit but it was removed in HNFit);
Option to show only the time, as well as the background images for Pace/Stratos, when screen is locked;
Profiles with backgrounds: save color combinations to retrieve them easily, and even use a custom background for each of them (superft1.png, superfit2.png, superfit3.png, or superfit.png will be used if none was found);
If the notifications counter isn't enabled as well as "seconds always on", then the notifications counter will be shown where seconds are when screen is locked, so you can keep track of notifications without unlocking the screen (this feature requires AmazMod/AmazeLauncher).
The default configuration is the best for battery life. These options will increase battery drain:
weather;
hourly chime;
always on seconds;
air pressure / altitude (configurable refresh interval in settings).
Verge will display only the time while screen is locked, with the option to show the full watchface with wrist movement (disable "SLPT clock only" in settings) to save battery and avoid screen burning.
Installation
As any other APK, it must be installed on watch using adb, AmazMod or APKInstaller (search tutorials elsewhere). It is recommended that you restart the watch after the first time installation. To remove it, uninstall "tk.lfom.sfwatchface" and restart watch. In my tests, with the stock configuration, the additional battery drain is less than 5%.
Known bugs
a) we are still investigating why it happens to fix it, but sometimes the watchface isn't shown correctly when screen is locked (a black or previous/standard watchface is shown instead) after changing settings and saving. It does not happen always, and to fix it simply select any other watchface (preferable one that isn't a custom APK) and then select SuperFit again (added workaround for this in v1.1).
b) the items positions were fine tuned for Pace/Stratos and then "scaled up" to fit Verge's bigger screen, so you might see a few small "jumps" when screen is unlocked and graphics won't look the best.
c) When recording a activity right after selecting the watchface, the activity data isn't displayed when watch locks: simply press the button to pause/resume and swipe to another screen and it should work fine;
d) Rarely you may see overlapping numbers for some data when choosing the watchface on Pace/Stratos, simply unlock the screen, open and save settings again and it should be fixed.

Really nice watchface, thanks for your awesome work!
Nice work lfom, I'm glad you took HNFit and improved upon it.
I had my reasons for discontinuing HNFit here. However I continued to work on it for myself.
I fixed many bugs and added some features, one of them was, like yours, an option to switch between 6 different fonts these are the ones I use most:
And I'm working on an option that I find very interesting in this watchface that has so many options, the ability to load and save profiles.
If I think about publishing my work again I will talk to you, as they are so identical that it makes no sense to have two separate ones.
Keep up the good work.
/Verge/. Perfect work, thanks

Thanks @lfom for bring us this watchface, downloading right now
It would be nice, work with @lfom together
**New version v1.5**
Anyone using SuperFit is advised to update to latest version since some crashes were fixed since release.
Awesome watchface.
I've been using GreatFit for a long time but have now found my new fave.
Excellent options and design.
Thank you.
Hi, could it be possible to disable the seconds on locked screen? I think it is draining my battery. Thx and keep working on it.

I tried turning the seconds off also, however, I couldn't find the setting for this.
How is it done, where is the option?

Ok, perhaps you can show a screen shot of the setting to turn off the seconds counting down.. I can't find it.

There are just two options there, and only one has "seconds" in its name...
Oh, and they don't countdown, it's just normal seconds time (one each every seconds, as it should be).
New version - v1.6
- Fixed a crash related to weather;
- Two new fonts: Fat and PowerWatch.
[APK] SuperFit Watchface - v1.6
Congratulations lfom for this fantastic job!! But I have a problem with this watchface and Amazmod CustomUI notifications. When I receive a notification the watch vibrates but the notification appears with a 2-5 seconds delay. With other watchfaces (WFZ) I don’t have this problem. Is it only my problem?
Where is the setting to hide notifications counter when screen is locked in new version? I haven't installed Amazmod...
UPDATE: Found it under "MAIN OPTIONS"

I don't think it is related. Uninstall other APK watchfaces and restart watch as suggested when installing it for the first time to keep memory usage low.
The weather hi/low temp is different from what the watch's weather widget shows. I haven't sync the watch since 2 days. The watch has moved to current day with temperatres 29/21 but the watchface shows 29/20 which is the temperatures that I had since the first day I synced.
Does the watchface take the values from what the watch shows? Or it needs to synch in order to get new values?

The weather source is exactly the same as the one used by the watch/widget. Maybe as you haven't synced for more than one day it is showing the info of the previous day (the code does not check for the actual day, it takes the first value).
