good night guys
i have a big problem on my mi 8 lite when i try to go to stock rom by mi flash with my mobile phone in edl mode mi flash is asking for an authorization of edl mode
I was wondering if there is any way to go to stock rom without needing this check?
I will be very grateful if someone can help me

Second one is not something that would fix my issue. I have a corrupted partition table. Only fix is edl flash which rewrites more than fastboot. I will look into MOD EDIT: Quote removedwhen I have some free time. Thank you for the information. Very appreciated.

So. Last night I got my Mi8 Lite bricked when flashing the latest Global MIUI11.
After hours and hours of research, I found that I needed an authenticaded Mi Account to be able to flash the system in the right way, but doing the right things, It can be done with no trouble.
My original stock rom was chinese, but seller sold me saying it was Global, so to get the phone working back, I needed to flash the Chinese stock first, then unlock the bootloader, then finally flash the global rom.
Keep this in mind, to get global rom working, the bootloader NEEDS to be unlocked, otherwise it will say "THIS MIUI VERSION CAN'T BE INSTALLED ON THIS DEVICE" and wont boot.

But if you are here, it means that you are already seeing this message, so let's begin.
Download the .elf file and put it on the chinese rom folder "platina_images_VXX.XX.XX > images"
Now you need to set the phone on EDL mode
The way I did was, opening the phone and doing a jumper on the board while plugging the USB cable
If you did the same as me, now your device manager has to look like this.
With everything set, you now can flash the Chinese stock rom normally with the Mi Flash software. If you previously had an Mi Account it will ask for your password. Type the pass, set the phone and after that, go to developer settings, "unlock status" and link your device account with the device.
Now, download the Mi Unlock software, plug the phone on USB and do whatever the software tells you to do.
If everything went fine and the phone is unlocked, drop the downloaded .elf file in the global rom folder "platina_global_images'VXX.XX.XX > images" and flash the Global Rom.
NOW PAY ATTENTION, ON THE RIGHT BOTTOM THERE'S THREE OPTIONS. DO NOT SELECT "clean flash and lock", ALWAYS SELECT "CLEAN FLASH".

Didn't check the link but most of the ones I have seen are fake junk that at best doesn't work. Many contain spyware, malware, and/or viruses. If it isn't here on xda or another trusted site I would be cautious.

this is not fake. don't say what you don't know. it's real and tested % working. it's only logic. The file firehose what you need to bypass the authentication. I replaced the original firehose file by the one I have and then it bypassed the authentication. this is a method for real no spoayware or fake. check the link it's just a video on youtube that shows how it's done.

to flash mi 8 lite, replace the original firehose file by the one I provided in my video. Don't worry. it worked. I've been searching for the right way for couple days.

День добрый всем ! Может конечно хлам этот ваш и рабочий и протестирован , но я уже 30 минут уже пытаюсь скачать этот хлам , устав закрывать левые страницы , ссылки , рекламу, отрубать предупреждения антивирусника, в ожидании проверки-прогрузки ссылки , чтобы хотя бы скачать этот хлам !!! на данный момент полчаса сижу сам с собой вслух матерюсь и ругаюсь на то , как удобно расположили вы ссылку на этот ваш хлам !!!! не поленился даже зарегистрироваться , чтоб донести вам свои эмоции на данный момент !!!! если ничего не добавлю здесь больше - значит хлам все таки скачал !!!! если нет - обязательно допишу свое мнение об этой выложенной с хорошими (надеюсь ) намерениями этой ссылкой !!!
