Activities on website - Amazfit

Hello,
I used to check my sport activities on my phone using Amazfit app. Recently my phone didn't work because of battery problem. So I'm going to do alternately.
I'd like to know if I could check my activities on huami website via a PC?
Someone has tried this?
Thanks.
Regards.

No, you can't. There is a site where you can download/delete your data, but some people reported the downloaded file either is empty or misses data. The best (and simplest) option in this case is sync with a third party service, like Strava (only activities with GPS tho). You can unload new activities from watch using WiFi too: Settings -> Sync (requires a connection to a 2.4GHz access point).

[Q] Gear S Backup and Restore

I see that my Gear S is set to automatically backup periodically. When this happens, it significantly drains my battery. is there a way to either disable this backup process or have the Gear S only backup when plugged in?
more questions on back-up & restore
on a semi-related issue - if i buy a new Samsung phone and paired that to my Gear S, (or vice versa), where are all my contacts, diary entries, apps and other stuff?
yeah I understand they get wiped - but is there anyway to save then somewhere - using Kies?? - the sim card ??, a memory card??
After a few trials & errors i decided to save everything to the Samsung account, but for better or worse that doesn't seem to work like say ahem iCloud - should i "backup" to the sim & turn off if possible Gear S backup facility as the OP seems to be asking ---- but there seems to be no facility to bulk change prior entries to "save to sim" or "memory card"
Pairing the watch and the phone over BT or when further away via my samsung account via 3G does seem to be now working very well - thanks to what I've learned here - but what exactly is my samsung account - when I registered initially I was able to add the S4 as a device but not the Gear S - now I'm directed to hot deals on microwaves etc when i log in
I haven't noticed such a battery drain backing up (by BT presumably) but my use case aspirations for the Gear S does involve the hope that the liberation of one device on my wrist (+/- the host phone somewhere else) might significantly reduce my very expensive data usage - disciplining me to restrict checking emails or browsing to wifi at home or at work - so far so good ... but will the downside be having to type in my contacts diary events and re-download the apps every time I change one of the devices or I have to perform a hard reset on the watch-phone to try to overcome some glitch?
thanks
There is no way to enter new contacts on Gear S. It gets whatever your phone get. So, the question is how do you transfer your contacts between your phones. It seems to me you are still living in stone ages. If you use any of the services like GMail or Outlook.com (from MS), you should already save your contacts in one of those cloud services. So no matter what phone you are on, they are always there. I won't trust saving to Samsung account. What happens when you move to a non-Samsung phone? You can't retrieve them anymore. Samsung account only works on Samsung phones.
Seems like my backups are happening around 12 pm. I'd like to schedule them to occur at night when I have the Gear S plugged in.
Is the backup setting for the Gear S linked to another backup setting on my Galaxy Note 4?
Thanks
....I understand I can't enter contacts on the phone
....I still don't understand what my Samsung account is, whether it does save my contacts/calendars somewhere however unreliably - I don't like being "locked in" to anyone but will continue to be locked into Samsung while the Gear S continues to fulfil its promise and exceed expectations (despite the difficult learning curve, deficiencies in the implementation and support and being somewhat underwhelmed by the Galaxy user interface)
....I do still use iCloud for better or worse for personal stuff, (not sure thats relevant here) but would rather avoid Gmail (i did reactivate an old gmail account to play around with some of the services / apps on the Galaxy)
.... ditto - outlook.com - I'd rather not go back there either but would do if it is then relatively easy to sync my outlook contacts and calendar(s) (when in wifi) with the samsung Galaxy apps that sync with the Gear S via Gear Manager
I can use iCloud or my work outlook whenever I'm at my desk or on wifi (or dollar gobbling phone tethering or mobile broadband dongle)
- yes in outback Australia I am kind of living in the stone age - often away from wifi or even a phone signal, having to wait weeks/months whenever i move house / location to transfer over my broadband account, figure out what to do when i travel abroad etc
so yes i have heard of and can use these cloud based services but often not 24/7 365 days a year so I'm still having to consider the best way to get the contacts onto the "master" phone with some degree of preseverence / transferability so that they are physically there on the gear S
sorry if i've missed an obvious point / solution or overcomplicated that -- i just tried creating a new contact and the choices are save to Samsung Account Device SIM or my recently reluctantly reactivated google account
thanks
If privacy is not a big concern for you, I don't see what you don't embrace those cloud services. It is very convenient to sync multiple devices at the same time. You don't need them to be perfectly on 24/7. It only needs to be on when you first sync to your phone. The contacts will remain on your phone even if the service is down afterwards. You can sync them to your phone, tablets and PCs.
The could services allow you to store multiple phone numbers per contact as well as photo, mailing address and email address etc.
Here are pros and cons of what you have listed:
1. SIM cards: only one phone number per entry. Multiple phone numbers for the same contact requires multiple entries. Can store phone numbers only. If SIM card dies, so are all your contacts.
2. iCould: works best with Apple devices. Not so much with others (although you can find work arounds).
3. Google: works best with Android devices. But also works on other platforms like Windows and iOS. If you use Android device, you will have to sign in with a Google account anyway. So you will be synced with Google contacts regardless you use it or not.
4. Outlook: works best with Windows Phone and Windows PC. But also works on other platforms like Android and iOS. If you use Windows devices, you will have to sign in with a Microsoft account anyway and synced with the contacts.
5. Samsung: as far as I know, it only works with Samsung Android phone and Android tablets.
I often use my desktop PC to edit and input contact information and it then syncs to cloud and to the devices. Very convenient.

Amazfit BIP - How to export GPS tracing ? (iOS or Android)

Hi everybody from Quebec city
My Bip watch is is with firmware 0.1.0.86
How could I show the record tracking on my walking on Google earth or other ?
I'm on Mac and I have a android phone to "sync" with Mi-Fit and Notify & Fitness app install
(android 5.X)
You can export the .tcx file on Notify and Fitness app, then import it into whatever mapping software you want.
How?
Seem we have many version of Notify and Fitness. What is the version I need and where do I "extract" GPS tracking ?
Thanks in advance

Notify and Fitness fior Amazfit
Pro version is needed to see the content of the messages.
For exporting, just open the activity in the app.
On the top right, there is a 3 dot menu
Synchr with others apps
You have 4 choices : Google fit, Export tcx, Strava or RunKeeper
Big Thanks

You sadly can´t - so I sold my iPhone X and bought an Android phone
Now I can sync any TCX file with or without GPS to Endomondo etc. or directly to Strava from Notify & Fitness and from there automatically to most other platforms through the website Tapiriik.
FREE
I guess everybory already spent their money on the Notify and Fitness Pro.
But for those who want to know, i have found a Free Way.
Install these apps: Gadgetbridge and GPX Viewer.
In Gadgetbridge you will open the activity and choose the GPX Viewer.
And that's it. Now your .gpx file is in the GPX Viewer folder.
(Gadgetbridge is still a work in progress, but i succeeded here)
Hi,
for those using Notify & Fitness. I also use this app, but I have observed a problem in the 1st km statistics when running. Strava will show between 30-40 seconds less for first km compared to what the watch shows, or what you can see in Mi Fit or Notify.
When I export activity to tcx file, I see that first tracking points, aproximately first 200-300 meters, always has same time stamp, and that is causing problems in Strava. So far I dont know if this is a problem of how Notify & Fitness export data, or is the watch that is doing it wrong, any idea?
Thanks
iPhone/ iPad supported !

Found 'AmazTools' in the Apple App store recently, and it works well on latest BIP s/w version !! Including GPX/ Strava/ loads of WatchFaces, and extra button functions. Give it a try!

Thanks, it's still working, but I had to set in Mi Fit my Amazfit Bip as visible BT device, then pairing with Gadgetbridge was ok.

Trying N&T i get a slight difference, here are stats :
- mi fit : 3.87kms / 14min43sec
- N&T : 3.88kms / 15min03sec
- Strava : 3.87kms / 14min17sec
Haven't much other tracks, i'll try, is it alike what you experienced..?

Hello @Vinicius_Gonzo
That kind of offset : see attachment
I didn't used gpx viewer but took directly gpx file from Android/data/ee.aegrel.gadgetbridge/files
Thx
Hi,
What's the easiest way to export GPS data to a PC? I have Android phone, not iOS.
Also, how long will be battery last with GPS recording? What's the record frequency (1 pt per second, etc)? And how much data can it hold (e.g. 10 hours)?
Thanks
Hi, have you found a solution? I will only use gadgetbridge and not mi-fit (data-collector)
Hi !! Have you try to use ZEPP App for connect AMAZFIT BIT to Strava ??
Thanks for the tip, it works just fine, I have a question though: the workouts in Gadgetbridge are all off by 1 hour, so my Strava runs aren't in sync with my friend' tracks, have you met this isuue?

Is it possible to use amazfit bip with only notify and Fitness?

And if so could someone please explain to me how to pair it. Notify and fitness mentions unpairing from the mifit app and only pairing with notify, but when I do this the watch only shows the connect to app icon. I would love to just use notify as mifit and notified seem to fight sometimes.
Yes, you can. I use it all the time and don't have Mi fit installed.
Just click on the menu button (3 lines in top left)
Then in the menu that shows, scroll down to the option: Re-Pair with Amazfit
It will disconnect (if connected) and then pair again with the Amzfit Bip.
Works great and there is less battery loss then with Mi Fit.
Do you pair originally with mifit then uninstall it? When I unpaired with mifit nothing I do in Notify takes the watch off the connect to phone screen. Notify says it's paired but the watch doesn't.

Yes, i started on my phone with the Mi fit app, but for my wife i never installed Mi fit.
What you can do after unpairing Mi fit, is using N&F and then install the latest firmware.
See here for a description what to do (follow all steps 1 through 5 except the Chinese characters step). The description is for step 5 (GPS), but simply start with 1.

Thank for the replies, unfortunately it's just not working. When I have Mifit uninstalled and paired with Notify, when I try to update the firmware it disconnects from Notify. I can re-pair the watch in Notify but when the firmware update starts its disconnects.
I love the concept of Notify and the custom notifications but I'm about to get a refund on the pro purchase and just use the stock software for consistency.
I tried to uninstall Mi Fit and pair through Notify. The pairing icons wouldn't go away from the watch. It looked like the phone was getting data from the watch, but the watch was not recognizing it was paired. There is a Reddit thread https://www.reddit.com/r/AmazfitBip/comments/8dhyft/do_i_need_to_keep_mi_fit_when_using_another_app/ with other people having this issue. It would be nice to only have to run one app on the phone to cut down on battery usage.
I figured it out. In the notify app, go to settings and under the advanced tab, scroll down to where it says something about the official mi fit app. Select the app isn't installed and your watch should connect to the notify app
Cannot go to the main screen of the app
Hi all,
I have a problem with my amazfit pace.
I have MiFit installed and paired (as well as Amazfit app).
Whn I install Notify and fitness asks me for permissions wich I grant and asks if the watch is correctly paired.
After that I get to a Screen with several app list to activate notifications or not but I'm not able to go to the main page with all the features...
Is this happening to someone else?
Thanks
I would like to say thank you to the devs of this app. I'm a paid user and I have a question. Is there a way to use Notify App for only integration with Sleep as Android? I use the amazfit app as I like their graphs better. Thanks

Hi, Any Amazfit watches allow message with alarm?

Howdy all,
Just wondering if any of the Amazfit watches (especially the Bip), will allow you to put a message in with one of the alarms? I have searched high and low but all I can seem to find is that (using the Bip as an example) all you can do is set up to so many alarms, what time, daily/weekly etc but not whether or not you can attach a message like "Go to appointment" with that alarm.
Multiple smartwatch alarms to me seem kind of pointless if you can't remember what they were for.
Thanks,
Trevel14n
I don't know about BIP, but it doesn't work this way with Pace and Stratos. On them, however, you can install third party apps, one of them is TickTick. It has reminders and you can set timed reminders for them, and even sync using WiFi. Interface isn't the best because it was not meant for small screens, but after initial setup basically you will open it just to sync data with wifi when needed. It won't work with BIP because BIP runs a proprietary OS, not Android.

Amazfit Bip Lite alternative app

Hi, I've never had other smartwatch. I got it as a gift. First of all I was surprised that it doesn't work standalone at all. You have to install MiFit app to just start watch to work (after quite long time of installing/updating watch's firmware or so). What is more, You have to create an account on a manufacturer server to use the watch. Than the data are synchronized between a watch and phone. I do not feel comfortable to use closed source apps due to fact I do not know what of my data (in fact) are collected. Even if a manufacturer says in terms and conditions that he collects just these and those data You never know it, You can not check it due to fact that software is closed source. So I did create an account, started the watch and than uninstalled MiFit app. I can use the watch only as regular watch (to check the time), check my pulse from time to time and how many steps I did during the day- that's all. Do all smartwatches work this way? Why do I have to have MiFit app working in background, be connected with manufacturer's server to transfer data between my phone and watch? Why bluetooth enabled is not enough once both devices has been paired? Is there any way to control the watch without MiFit app installed and working? Thanks in advance.
You definitely need a MiFit profile.
As alternative app you can use "Notify and Fitness" app, that can be used without the MiFit.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mc.amazfit1
Regards,
Thanks for a reply Prompter. I know that I need a profile to activate a watch. My main problem with using This watch is that I do not want to be constantly connected to server with an app which is closed source. You told me about an alternative app which is also closed source :/. I know that I can use gadgetbridge open source app after created a profile with MiFit, but Than I need a rooted phone to obtain an individual special key for my device. I have no rooted phone. ..
