STF-LGRP2: Does the H9 Model Change when you upgrade to EMUI9? - Honor 9 Questions & Answers

'm currently running 9.0.1.175 on my H9 which still shows Model STF-L09 in the about phone section of settings. Lately when I go into my phones model in FirmwareFinder, I've been seeing firmware listed for STF-LGRP2. I would like to upgrade to 9.1.0.210, but want to make sure this firmware is right for my phone.
Does anyone know what is going on with the model numbers?

i have the exact same Question .... can we flash the STF-LGRP2 Firmwares on STF-L09432 ???

You can, it is just the global rom. I did it before with some of the pie roms previously. 9.1.0.210 is allowed for me currently as well, so might update when I get back. You need a canary build of magisk so I had held off for a bit due to the rrofs file system

What is a canary build? I thought I could just modify RECOVERY_RAMDIS

Ignore my last comment I was talking about the dev builds of magisk https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/dev-magisk-canary-channel-bleeding-edge-t3839337
but it looks like the file system is supported in 19.3 anyway

Ahoy friends
I haven't updated my H9 since the last summer, still rocking .364 with Proto Kernel plus TWRP for Oreo.
I want to upgrade to 9.1.
What would be the steps to do so?

Emui "About the Phone"-Screen shows old version after successful update

Hey guys,
I recently unlocked and rooted my device, so I was able to update it. I did so. I downloaded the Huawei Update Extracter, downloaded the latest L24 B151 and installed via fastboot the boot.img and the system.img. Everything went well so far, but when I go to "About the Telephone"-Screen, it says that I'm still running my old B120-Version. The Android-Secruity-Patch is from March 2016 though. Is that a common problem? Or have I forgot a to flash a certain file? I really would like to update the information on this screen.
Thanks for your help, guys, and I'm sorry for my ****ty english.
By the way, the device's from germany and originally had the L21 B120 Version running.

The L24 files won't work correctly on your phone
you need this >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/how-to/kiw-l21-c432b130-uk-revert-package-t3368480
and it will OTA update to B140, your model does not have B151 yet

Thanks. I used this tutorial and I think I can point out some changes to the original stock rom.
The icons changed, the status bar is now transparent, the security-patch is updated, other pre installed apps are installed and the pre installed apps that were on the old build are now updated. Aswell I can use Google Voice now as standard voice mail option. So, I don't see any reason to get the B140 version. Maybe it's not working fully correct, but the only problem I found is that the Build is not displayed correctly but that's not compromising the usability of the system.

I'm aware of the guide. you could have just used my rom here > http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/development/rom-stock-b151-stock-rooted-deodexed-t3355130.
but doing it this way you will never get the firmware updates, that's why I pointed you to the correct way to update your phone

Ah, okay. Thanks for that. I'll give it a shot in the forseeable future.
But in the meantime, if anyone has any idea how to fix the display error of the Emui-About-Screen, I would be very thankfull.

Does anyone else have the Snapdragon 9+ with BRJ6?!!!

I have the G965U through TMobile. I just received a OTA firmware update that now has me on BRJ6. Everything that I've read says that the firmware for the US variant should be BRJ5, which is what I was on prior to yesterday. I'd like to flash the new One UI but it seems like nothing shows my situation. Any ideas? I've attached photos
Anyone? Again, every thread I've seen with BRJ6 has been the Exynos version not Snapdragon. If I flash the Exynos firmware would I brick the phone?
This is what the samfirm app says is the latest firmware for the Tmobile G965U... So what you got is correct.
Code:
Version: G965USQS3BRJ6/G965UOYN3BRJ6/G965USQS3BRJ6/G965USQS3BRJ6
The BRJ6 is not specific to the Exynos.. You need to look at more then just the last 4 letters/numbers when your looking at the firmware. In the entire software version you will see G965U mentioned, which means the build is for your model phone. If it was for the Exynos you would have seen something else.. For example G965F or G965N
Lastly builds for Snapdragon and builds for Exynos are not cross compatible.
Wait so how do we with brj6 get to update to PIE?

Two ways:
1.) Read the threads on the subject
2.) Wait for official OTA release from Samsung/carrier
Odin back to BRJ5, install update.
This contains the current beta version - https://www.xda-developers.com/install-one-ui-beta-samsung-galaxy-s9-galaxy-s9-plus/
Here is an update from BRJ6 to CRKE.

I have an unlocked phone and put in a Verizon sim thinking that would get me into the beta. Instead it updated me out of it, lol.

It fails because it's looking to update from ARJ2 and I'm on ARJ6. When I try to install ARJ2 with ODEN it fails. The beta doesn't extract the way that normal firmwares extract, so I can't even figure out how I would use ODEN for that.

Sorry not sure if you can Odin back to ARJ2 on the U1 model. The pie beta update zip is dropped on the SDCard and installed via recovery (or sideloaded with adb if you don't have an SDCard), not with Odin.

A little info on your part may help here, ie. the model of your phone or your location as the Android 9 (Pie) has very limited release for the single sim and the dual sim is only slightly better.. There are a few ways to flash firmware a) Sony Flashtool or b) Newsflasher c) Adb, search the XDA a bit there are some excellent guides on how to use both... ( homework time)
Also you may want to mention what OS you have on your computer as installing drivers for adb, fastboot ect. vary for each, windows 7 and 8 are pretty basic but on 10 you will need to disable the signature verification before you can install the drivers and Linux is a whole other thing.. so give us some info.. read a bit and get back to us.

You can have a look here ( https://xpericheck.com/device/G8341 ) and you can see if it has been released in you region yet if not then you won't be able to do it by Ota yet..
Here's how to check your build version (region). I found this method here
Open the dialler
Enter *#*#7378423#*#* and press dial
Tap on Service info
Tap on Software info
Look for Customization Version

Need to download STF-L09C432B120

Are there any links that work? If not, can someone temporarily host the files if they have them?
Thanks.
https://pro-teammt.ru/en/online-firmware-database/?firmware_model=STF-L09C432&firmware_page=0 <- Heres a link to a page to get a link. However I don't think you can get that version. It is really old. You probably want something new near the top of that page (be careful, if you flash an EMUI 9 ROM you can't revert to EMUI 8 easily)

Thanks. I'll probably try C432B130 (I just finished rebranding from AL10). I'm looking to address the camera flash/torch issue. It works maybe 10% of the time.

C432B130 is nougat.
There is still nougat STF service repair firmware available on androidhost.ru and here on xda.
From what I remember, to fix your issue (buttons+flash working/not-working erratically), there is 2 main way:
- use C432B130 dload, then OTA update to C432B183/184.
or
- Update to lower oreo build where there is also an oreo kernel zip fix to flash via TWRP.
And here it is .. https://androidhost.ru/v5
2 new pie builds also appeared on Androidhost too .. 165 & 168

When will RJBEUXM get MIUI 13 OTA update?

I have a Mi 10 (codename umi) currently on MIUI 12 Global Stable v12.5.8.0(RJBEUXM). I've seen the MIUI 13 update available via Fastboot or Recovery modes for it but idk how to do it that way. Can anyone tell me when it will get the OTA update? My model says it's eligible to receive it but I can't seem to find anything about when that might eventually be. Thx ₍˄·͈༝·͈˄₎◞ ̑̑

Hi. Version V13.0.1.0.SJBEUXM was shipped via OTA, but in the end it has been reverted due to detected bugs. You have to wait longer until the next one is released.

Thx much, I wasn't aware of that. I finally received the OTA update & am now on 13.0.4.0(SJBEUXM)
The MIUI 13.0.4.0 SJBMIX has been out for a couple of days now.
I'm using it with magisk and adaway and it's working fine, but missing out on thousands off adds makes me feel sad, because now I don't even know wether I don't want the products I didn't even know I didn't want. Does that even count as living at all?
