Guys have problem with substratum on pie. When I was on oreo I was able to use swift black theme on apps and Alpha for system. Right now I try swift black and PithBlack and unfortunetly I cant compile any layer...

Me too.. Only if I choose enable installed overlays from the 3 dots upper right and then reboot it works

What theme you are using?
This is how substratum should work on pie:
Theming Android Pie:
Use the latest version of Substratum.
Make sure the theme you're using supports Pie.
Select the overlays you wish to install
Select*Build & Update*from the FAB
Reboot your device
Open Substratum and go to Manager
Select the overlays you built earlier
Enable selected from the FAB
Requirements:
Rooted*device running on Android Pie.
NOTE:
You'll not be able to apply themes on non-rooted Android Pie because Google blocked custom overlays since March Security patch.
DO NOT*install Andromeda or you won't be able to proceed after the splash screen.
If you're using any magisk module(s), disable module(s) and reboot, build overlays, enable magisk module followed by another reboot and enable overlays.
I dont have build and update option...
After reboot the manager is empty..
I use flux theme
Broken here too on PIE with any theme.
Try to use lite version of substratum. For me it works flawlessly.
PS. For patching Swift Black theme I recommend Swift Installer from Play Store

This is what I had to do. The regular Substratum app kept crashing on me and even when I did get things applied, they would be removed after a reboot. The Lite version works just fine.

For me, yes...
Most layers should work with OOS however... 1. Theming wise it's important whether you boot with light/dark theme because of text colours. 2. Not all assets may be themes as OOS Firmware-res/Settings apps are quite different to AOSP.
Disclaimer: Partially ported Euphoria Dark CM theme to OOS, stopped development because of how close the release of stable Marshmallow is for us from both official and unofficial channels. When MM comes out I might give it a stab at doing OOS version X.X.X (MM release).

I have tried a lot of them
Only ones that worked are Peeaf and inversion ui( fully working). But most of them work if you don't apply systemui and settings
At Inversion I didn't got an dark background of system... You did?

Applied all the general overlays.. Except the zsettings one..
Nothing else.. No boot loops..

LightOut Free works fluently, not sure about the paid version; just some of the icons in settings are not changed so they look kinda out of place
The paid version is the newer one and isn't working for me... Maybe new set of layers integrated...
But the free light out is working fine

Tez application does not work with custom roms anyhow...nothing you can do.

Root your device using magisk latest version .
Check for safety net . It must pass else u cannot use payment apps like tez
Use magisk hide on ur desired app .
(in case even after Flashing magisk things doesn't work then )
I recommend you to wipe System
Flash rom +magisk +other stuff that u use .
Reboot
Remarks : 1) dont use xposed
2) don't use any pirated crap (don't ask why )
3) flash rom +magisk at the same time .NOT AFTER BOOT .
4) flash magisk modules (if any u use ) after first boot .
5) check for playstore certification

Im on Resurrection Remix oreo on Redmi note 4.. but google assistant is not activating..i have google updated app and as well as a beta user, but when i long press home button google app opens..but not assistant page.. i speak 3 times "Ok Google" but then it does not go to next page and stuck there...any help will be much appreciated.

You should go to Settings>Configurations>buttons>hardware keys>homebutton long press action> set it to Google Assistant rather than search assistant

How to set it to google assistant..there is no option in custom application. My main problem is when voice training after 3 successfull step it did not go to next page like "im in".. it stucked on the page.

For banking apps to work properly without root you should flash Lineage OS official build (Official Oreo will be out soon)
or Carbon (Oreo builds released yesterday).
Install Lineage if you're fine without customizations and stuff and install Carbon if you want some customizations as it supports substratum and have built-in features.
Both Lineage and Carbon provide good security and if you are a user who use Banking Apps a lot, I suggest you to stick with these.

Banking apps didn't find to work in ROMs with SELinux status as Permissive and official Lineage has Enforcing with all builds signed with private keys. So, I didn't face any issues with any banking apps whether its Tez or BHIM or any other.
Never tried banking apps while using root but magisk hide should have the job done.
So, its tested and I'm damn sure that banking apps work in Official Lineage and Carbon (but without root).
Latest Google Phone 24.0.214850721and contact working with one plus 6 with magisik module or twrp it will disable stock phone and contact i try with magisik module working with stock pie & beta4 .

Same version as the one you stated, nothing installed other than the single magisk module I referenced.
Playstore updates phone+contacts without issue, just need to make them the default apps the first time the module is installed.

I installed the module, cleared play store storage and even rebooted my phone but google dialer still doesn't show up on play store for me.

In Magisk manager app,search for ClearPlaystorewith SevicesData4magisk.install it and reboot.Then you can download google dialer directly from playstore.

I don't like the oos contacts, dialer, calc and sms. Here are my instructions.
1. Delete the oos dialer and contacts (system/priv-app)
2. Download and install (or copy to system/priv-app) the Google contacts 3.2 (with dark mode) and dialer v25 (for all devices and dark mode). You can install it like a normal apk oder copy it to system/priv-app.
3. Set it as the default dialer and reboot.
4. Google calc and sms work also.

The best xposed module for this phone, in my opinion, would be "custoMIUIzer" (search for the official thread here on xda). Too many features to list, basically adds to miui tons of features typically found in custom roms.

Umm, Magisk and Xposed are two different things with different purposes.
They are, sadly, XPOSED is kind of dead with only some modules on life support.. and the system lags more.
Still i'm glad that we have the choice, for who need it.

problem: can't flash with Twrp(get Error during flash & can't flash with megisk manager (its says not a magisk module something error getting)
Personally tested only on Redmi Note 8 pro
However another way riru core & edxposed system hook 0.4.6.2........ working but getting issue during playing online game like "Garena Freefire Game" game close automatically & During playing game not pick any gun etc....etc items.
After uninstall completely edxposed game work perfectly.

Tried installing. And it says app not installed. Did I miss any steps?
How to enable astrophotography mode in this mod? It is not showing 'phone is steady' in the night sight mode. Else great build.

Uninstall the other gcam from your device.
I can't delete it from setting or app store. Is not showing an uninstall option.
It is not working properly on Pie. Instant pics with nightsight or hdr+. Did work fine on miroom with android q though.
how to disable shutter sound?
I have not found this option?

The gcam 7.2 version needs android 10 to work properly.

the BSG gcam 7 works well. but there are no options for infinity focus mode, therefore you can't do astrophotography, which is a shame.
Not working on Pixel 4 rom. opening camera just closes it automatically
Okay I've been trying to install this thing but with no success.
I'm on the pixel 4 rom and it comes with gcam pre installed so naturally i tried editing the package name. But it shows error parsing package.
Any help would be recommended
