help - SGP712 will not boot anymore - Xperia Z4 Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
android 7.1.1
Just installed TWRP 3.1.1-0. this works fine and I can still boot in TWRP.
After Installation the tablet worked,
but now I always stuck in the SONY XPERIA screen
I was about to install Magisk 19.3. That didn't work, so I tried different version which all failed. Somehow I pressed the button to delete cache/dalvik
With this, I think I did sthg wrong.
I have a backup for Xperia Companion and MyPhoneExplorer, but I can't get the software to recognize the device anymore.
Is there a way I can revive my tablet
What are my options to do?
any help is welcome,
thanks
siggel

finally I could flash SGP712_32.4.A.1.54_1295-4711_R1E.ftf with Xperia flashing Tool 0.9.26.0, so the thing is working.
But what did I wrong?
- deleting the cache within TWRP?
What am I supposed to do to get Magisk working?
As far as I read, I've to install a custom ROM, is it right?
Which one is preferrable?
And will the newest Magisk work with it?
Is there an "all I need to know about Z4 tablet thread"?

Afaik Magisk requires LineageOS on this tablet. I'm running both successfully.

Help with Unrooting Xperia M4

Hello all,
I followed this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/m4-aqua/general/root-t3421932
And I sucessfully installed TWRP and rooted my phone. Everything worked fine so far, I was able to use root and access the custom recovery all normal.
Now I come across a discrepancy, I wanted to update the new PokeGo app by following this tutorial, to install in a rooted phone: (the new update blocks access to all rooted/jailbroken phones)
http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/09/11/guide-play-pokemon-go-0-37-rooted-android-magisk/
But I found a situation when I want to uninstall root, in SU, I get an error of uninstallation failed... I tried all the options and I can't seem to revert root. Another situation is, when I try to boot up the custom recovery, It gets stuck in the white sony bg logo and it doesn't boot up. I tried to flash recovery img again by flashboot and it didn't work... Now I'm stuck with no recovery or a way to make a backup of everything..
So the question is, and i guess i know the answer already but I will ask anyways, is there any way to unroot this with flashtool? I don't want to lose any of the current phone settings/data, I was maybe thinking I could just reflash the FW with flashtool, but I wouldn't know if i should be ticking all the boxes or just the kernel one for this.
Anyways, any help/ideas are appreciated.
flash the ftf of the build number you were using at the time and then untick flash user data
Install xposed and next install module BSD mod tools to hide root
Flash stock boot.Img, and unroot it with SuperSU

Can't update twrp? Or find a cwm download for an Xperia z3 tablet compact Wi-fi

Ok so Let me go through the whole story. I wanted to root my Xperia z3 tablet compact SPG611 and I was being a bit of a noob so I opened the bootloader and I was so eager so I get on to rooting as I did it before on my Xperia z3 but on that I dropped it and it broke sooo... but yeah I went to this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3...ment/advanced-stock-kernel-twrp-root-t2959720 and flashed this onto my tablet. But I had 2 problems I was in a boot loop but I was able to go to recovery and the twrp is at v2.7.1.0 so my clever self decided to wipe everything, I mean everything off of the tablet and I didn't back up. This meant that I had no os installed and I can't download a custom rom because there is always a problem, mainly cannot execute updater-binary when I flash paranoid. Also when I flash a newer version of twrp through fast boot it says finished okay but doesn't update on my tablet.
So I'm basically asking has anyone either got a way of updating twrp or a download for another recovery and has anyone got either a stock rom or a custom rom that they dowloaded on a Xperia z3 tablet compact SPG611 that actually worked.
Sorry for the long issue but can someone please help it would be the most appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
I always embed both twrp, SuperSU and Xposed Framework inside the kernel with the Rootkernel script. The only downside is that you have to use this procedure when updating Xposed and SuperSU.
After you created the patched kernel, just flash the kernel with fastboot. After that you have twrp (and SuperSU and Xposed if you included those).

Is there a comprehensive, step by step guide on rooting the Nexus 9?

It has been a nightmare trying to figure out how to root this thing and I need some help. I've been using Google but every guide and video I come across just don't do it for me. They all say something about installing drivers but don't go any further in explanation and they all say something different. Any help would be appreciated.

Same simple instructions as for all Nexus.
Unlock bootloader.
Fastboot flash twrp
Use twrp to flash root solution (SuperSU, magisk, etc)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ne...ll-custom-recovery-root-t3200361/post62804370
All steps work, just need updated files. Like newest SuperSU or Magisk. Search of forum will work. Twrp link is fine. Don't worry about the posts in that thread saying it doesn't work anymore. Twrp has been updated to work perfectly.
I recommend magisk over SuperSU. Stable not beta.
Or you can extract the boot.img from the stock firmware image and patch it with magisk manager if you want to keep stock recovery for whatever reason. You can flash the patched boot.image with fastboot.

I have tried this method many times now and the tablet is not rooted. Looks like TWRP gets wiped every time I reboot?
Is there a new way to root the Nexus 9? Noone seems to have an update version?

Hi, which TWRP version are you using ? Allowed system partition modification ?
install lineage os microg when I do it it returns twrp with more basic options I have tried flashing the latest twrp with lineage os microg but it doesn't boot the system and makes me flash lineage os microg again when I do it it modifies more basic twrp I don't know why that happens

Edit: what I wrote below is wrong. You're likely running into a Magisk 24.3 bug
-------------------------
This probably doesn't answer your question - but installing Magisk permanently may not be possible. My unscientific opinion (based on my recent experiences) is you may need to install everything in one shot - i.e. no reboot. I recently managed in install Lineage 15.1 from stock using twrp by:
rebooting into fastmode
installing twrp
rebooting into recovery (the one shot I had - if I rebooted at this stage, twrp would be gone! So avoid rebooting from here on out. )
Install lineage zip, then microg & any other packages you want
Reboot into lineage - twrp no longer available
I couldn't get twrp to stay installed even when I tried to install it to system, I figured that's because pollux_windy doesn't have a recovery partition. Also - I'm going off memory, so I may have gotten things wrong. However, it took me about 3 attempts to get things right (at times lineage wouldn't boot, IIRC, I may have forgotten to wipe the cache). I was following the steps in the wiki and used the following versions, accoding to my downloads folder:
twrp v3.6.1_9-0-pollux_windy.img
open_gapps-arm-8.1-nano20220215.zip
lineage-15.1-202000220-nightly-pollux_windy-signed.zip

Fixed in recently released v25.0.

Honor 10 Magic COL-L29

Good afternoon. I ran into a problem that I can not install magic on the device. This requires installing TWRP, which has not been officially released. There is an article on this forum that you can install TWRP, but if I do this, the phone goes into an endless TWRP download - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/recovery-bkl-emui-8-x-unofficial -twrp-3-2-1-0-working-recovery-from-view-10.3798751/
Version - 3.2.1-0 does not work. I tried iterating through the versions and found 1 which opens TWRP but it doesn't work properly - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/root-emui-9-0.3883991/. It doesn't clean up, it doesn't install. Some errors in the logs.
I also tried through this instruction - https://4pda.to/forum/index.php?showtopic=904618&st=6220#entry89786439
Next, I tried to find the firmware for this phone, which is extremely difficult. Android version - 9.1.0.xxx
I need this in order to pull out the boot file from there and patch it through the magic. I found the firmware from Colombia. I'm trying to install via HuUpdater. He tries to install 3.2.1-0 TWRP, which does not work, and install the firmware through it, which also does not work. I installed another TRWP where it runs but nothing works. Through it does not want to be installed. My bootloader is unlocked.
I no longer know how to get root rights.
Several times I was able to get root rights, but I could not do a factory reset and the magic did not work properly. It's critical for me. I need to be able to do a factory reset.
Help me please.
Hi! You tried to get the boot.img from your rom, and patched it with magisk, and flashed it to the phone?

I can't do this because this requires a TRWP which is not in working order.
