Hi,
I succeeded in unbricking S9+ clone (SM-G960F MT6580) but I don't know how to install Gapps. There is no boot menu (only chinese menu for test) and no recovery program.
Thank you for any help

You can only install gapps if your OS is AOSP based through your recovery. If it is a stock rom you can try different variants, but if comes without gapps you will have a hard time getting any

Hello!
Just received my Umidigi A3 - MT6739.
Firmware is Android 9, latest release: N Android 9.0 V1.3_20190610 ROM
I would like to flash a custom recovery (TWRP) and flash a custom ROM - like Lineage OS or Stock Android.
This is not the first time I root and flash an android device, however I am having difficulties finding the right files.
I tried to install custom TWRP recovery both through ADB tool and with SP flash tool.
I initially unlocked the OEM and bootloader using ADB tools, then I tried to flash a TWRP recovery image I found online but it turned out to be for Android 8.1 and not Android 9.
The phone switches on and boots normally - however I still don't have a custom recovery nor the possibility to install a custom ROM.
Here's a list of threads I already looked at and tested:

Did anyone who has the same phone manage to do such?
Thanks!
A3 TWRP Recovery
Hi,
It sounds like you have tried all the available options and since I have Android 8.1 mine is not the same. I can tell you that just in case you haven't seen this page yet, it may help, as it worked perfectly for me.

Hi, today I was more than seven hours on PCr and tried this....unsuccessfully... I'm really desperate
I have:
-Xperia Z2 (D6503)
-Android 6.0.1
-newest firmware 23.5.A.1.291
-UNlocked bootloader
I am trying to install root, twrp recovery and custom ROM ( specifically this ROM ). But i cannot enter to the recovery mode...
Official twrp-3.0.2-0 succesfully flashed in fastboot but when i try command "fastboot reboot recovery" the mobile only load android and turns on normally... the combination hardware buttons also do not work.
The next question is, What is a kernel ? I have successfully installed this kernel .... Could this be the reason why I can't load the recover mode?
Please help me, I don't know what to do anymore :crying: all I want is root and custom rom
EDIT: okay, i successfully root phone and finally i have access to recovery mode (TWRP 3.0.2-0) by THIS TUTORIAL now i need help with installing the custom ROM step-by-step because if I turn something wrong and phone will be bricked again, I guess I'll kill myself xD so What is next step for install custom ROM please ? Can I just download THIS, install the zip in TWRP and that´s all ???
Yup you can install it by recovery steps:

before you do this you should backup all your important data
1-wipe data factory reset
2- wipe cache
3- install zip rom
4- download google apps and install it by recovery it should be a zip file
5-repot system and enjoy
the recovery is like twrp or cwm it's not a kernel
there is 2 type of kernel :
1-kernel itself
2-kernel with merged recovery
about the kernel and recovery, there is deference the kernel is very important for system to work it connects between the hardware and the software and every operating system has its own kernel but here in android they sometimes merge kernel with recovery but when you flash-kernel or recovery every one replace each other be careful and know that, don't worry you won't brick something in the near future when you will install custom ROMs you will notice that.
if you need any help you can ask me
Hi!
I really would like to try some custom roms, especially without Google Apps
My phone is a SM-G800H, Android 6.0.1 (dual sim)
I would like to try Lineageos, but it seems my device is NOT listed on their wiki... should I use some unofficial version?
I got some issues with fastboot command: it doesn't recognize my device (while adb is ok).
Installing a custom rom will be easier with a rooted device?
Thank you!!

Fastboot isn't for Samsung. You have Odin for it and twrp. Flash an unofficial lineage rom with gapps and you should be good to go

Hi,
I think this should be fine.
I have some doubt about TWRP. If I enter in recovery mode, I already have menu like "wipe data". So why is TWRP necessary?
It is also unclear if TWRP is meant as recovery partition (instead of the stock one) or a normal apps which needs root privileges to work.
Can you just explain me that?
Thank you again!

Twrp is a custom recovery. You can't install anything with the stock recovery
I want to ask you guys if someone had succeded to install custom ROM for galaxy a10.
I rooted my phone and installed TWRP with success.
after that, I tried to install lineage os gsi ROM
(arm32 with 64 binder slot a )
but I get boot loops ( Samsung logo for seconds, reboot with vibration and repeat )
do someone ever succeded to install custom ROM for that device?

Try to install this GSI:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/de...s/RR-P-v7.0.3-20191112-A64-AB.img.xz/download
It worked for me on an A105M
Same problem. I tried many methods (experiments), but one result - Bootloop. Does anyone know a way to successfully flash custom ROM on a105f?
you have to install A/B partition gsi image for it to work if your phone was shipped with android 9.0+
Asking for confirmaton

Maybe your from is not compatible to your A10. Don't rely on people posting because everyone is different. Maybe you're flashing Android 9 instead of A10 . Just make your firmware congruent to from and you're good to go.

Hello to everyone reading this...
This was my first time doing anything with twrp and generally flashing custom roms.
So i unlocked bootloader on my Poco F1 in like no time (didnt even had to wait 3 days) and flashed via adb twrp... then i installed twrp in twrp and my os (miui) unfortunatly vanished. Now im kinda stuck here. when trying to install a OS, it says it worked but then:
- reboot into twrp
- No os installed
My Custom Rom i tried to install is the Pixel Experience Plus one and even the stock miui 12.0.3 rom recovery didnt work.
Do i need to install magisk or disable force encryption or disable dm verity?
i used the newest twrp :twrp-3.5.2_10-0-beryllium.img
Any help is appreciated!
Thank you
