Since latest update my WiFi calling not working.
It wasn't even showing on settings
I contacted Huawei at twitter they told me to reset my network settings which I did.
It brought back the WiFi calling on settings its on but its not working.
Is there any way to get it fixed?
WiFi calling is the most important thing for me as I don't get signal at home at all.
Latest update brought a lot of problems they gotta fix it ASAP.
Fingerprint doesn't work most of the time
Vibrate itself, non stop notification sound.

I believe it is because carrier's settings on huawei fw.
There is a workaround through launching vowifi roaming activity through a 3rd party apps.
Huum mine vowifi was also working no more on LYA C432 B310 until I added this :
wfc_ims_enabled=1

I can only get the vowifi icon if I'm not in cellular range but have wifi, you can test this, put the phone into Airplane mode and re-enable wifi, I can now make wifi calls. What I can't see is if 4G calling is enabled or working....it might be but I have no indications

Hungary, Telekom, firmware 310 + patch 2. VoWiFi is working, but I don't get any icon confirmation, only the carrier name changed from Telekom HU to WiFi. Only works if I set "WiFi preferred" in Settings.

WiFi Calling if I'm not mistaken.
Sent From My LG v10 Using TapaTalk
It's is. If wifi calling connection settings is set to wifi preferred it shows any other setting I don't get the icon
My V10
if you have setup wifi calling it means its on and the calls you make will be over wifi, if you haven't set up wifi calling its telling you wifi calling is on and that you need to set it up or it will make calls over wifi when signal is stronger over wifi. thats how it worked and looked since i had a black berry Perl, which is why it looks so out of place lol.
Well the icon is there even with WiFi and VOLTE off...there is no wifi calling in the settings....
as stated, its the wifi calling icon..
thing is..im on the tmobile variant and my wifi calling icon appears on the left side with the 3rd party icons/notifications
any thoughts on how to disable it?

This is an app for OnePlus 3/3T running OxygenOS 4.1.0.
This App allows to open dual sim cellular network settings activity where you can select network modes like GSM only, WCDMA only, LTE only etc.
Toggle VoLTE On/Off.
This Settings activity is from "com.qualcomm.qti.networksetting" package which is different from stock OOS cellular settings.
Note : Only the sim card selected for data connection can be set to LTE mode. The secondary sim card will automatically fall back to GSM mode.

I don't know how to do that. Actually I don't think that's possible since this is only a shortcut app which launches the settings activity from a Qualcomm network settings app already present in OOS
Google Play Store search shortcut
can we use this in ob5 without issue?
Did you by any chance get Wifi Calling on Jio to work on OP3T? It was working fine as long as my phone was on MM but went away when I upgraded to Nougat
Works also in OP3T with OOS 4.1.3
Cheers

Not working on Oxygen OS beta 8....taking straight to default cellular settings
Since the common hidden menu code does not work on our device ( *#*#4636#*#* ), there is another way we must use.
1. Download this app from the Play Store: Force LTE Only (4G/5G)
2. Launch app and choose "METHOD3: (Android 11)"
3. Under Set Preferred Network Type dropdown, select the network type you want.
-- to get 4G/LTE and below, set to "LTE/TDSCDMA/CDMA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA"
-- to get 5G, set to "NR/LTE/TDSCDMA/CDMA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA"
This was the only way to enable 5G for me since I am in Canada.
Only issue with this is that it may not stick once you reboot. You would have to follow these steps again.
Thanks man. This helped me with my Global variant. It got 5g to kick on when I couldn't see it in the menus.

It didn't work on mine. When I punch in the final *, it just goes to my contact list.
Although the app ForceLTE mentioned earlier by TikiThePug did work perfectly.
I finally get 5G all day long on a T-Mo SIM.
It's such a fast, beautiful phone and now it has all its functionality.

Hey I just started using Verizon coming from Fi. I have an unlocked.pixel 6 from the Google store what should my settings be? I know I need NR but what else or what would work best. I'm on new York it that matters at all.
And I can get to the menu via *#*#4636#*#* I just need to know what would work best for me .
I keep trying to set to NR/LTE/TDSCDMA/GSM/WCDMA ( Only way to get full speed on 5G
for some reason my setting keep resetting to NL/LTE/GSM/WCDMA (Very slow as if running 3G but says 5G)
How do I get my setting to stick Oh I'm on T-Mobile Network

Hi,
Some users have the VOLTE option in sim card settings. It should be under or above "data roaming" option.
However, the VOLTE option is missing for me. When I make calls, it drops to 3g service. I am using t-mobile in USA so VOLTE should be working and supported. My concern is that t-mobile plans to block devices without VOLTE in April 2022, so if i cannot figure it out, i would have to sell the device
Any ideas how to activate it?
I suggest 3 things. Had this issue (but not in US) and these helped VOLTE show up again. Try them in this order and if VOLTE shows up, great, no need to do the rest.
First thing:
Go to "Developer options" and set "5G Network Mode" to "NSA + SA Mode".
May help depending on ISP setup. No clue what TMOB is up to. This allows maximum compatibility, but MAY drain battery faster -- I don't know the full impact of this setting. Note that it often reverts to "default" when rebooting.
Second thing:
Settings > SIM card & mobile data > (pick active SIM card) > toggle 5G off then on again
(On this page I previously had VOLTE option, but it mysteriously disappeared)
Third thing:
1) remove SIM card(s)
2) reboot phone
3) reinsert SIM card(s)
4) reboot phone
Depending on country, sometimes carriers/towers aren't super reliable.
Good luck!
Hey thanks for the suggestions.
First thing: When I go to developer options, that 5g option is greyed out for me. I cannot select it.
Second thing: I only have 4/3g/2G toggle. I did download an app called "force LTE" which activates 5G.
Third Thing; Didn't work.
Thanks for trying to help me. Are you in USA by any chance?
Hi,
I don't think this will work for you, since you don't have this option
How to navigate the VoLTE feature in your realme devices? - realme (India)

And if still not working you have to contact realme technical support.
Don't know whether it's because the change of 5G Network Mode. The LTE icon doesn't show up, but I do notice the voices in phone calls are louder and clearer.

Propably HD Voice
Well, not in the US but I boot the phone, updated it to last one, reboot. So I didn't check that option since the beginning but I can see it under the SIMcard setting.
I didn't go in dev or else.
My second sim doesn't have that option though.
Hope you fixed it with an update.

Damn, sorry pal. I really hoped that would work for you.
Can you try borrowing a family member/friend's SIM card for 5 mins from their phone and seeing if LTE is greyed out with their card too? If so you can assume it's the phone and not ISP that's being weird...
And nah, I haven't lived in the US in years!

No, the VOLTE icon looks like this:
So I connect to my work van via Bluetooth and use Google Maps with multiple stops.
When I'm on the phone to a friend while Google Maps is running in the foreground and phone in background and I arrive at a stop, instead of being able to click "continue" and go on the the next stop, my phone automatically switches back to the ongoing phone call! I then have to switch back to Google Maps and click continue and sometimes it takes a few seconds to continue to the next stop and I notice my data shows H+ and not LTE so I'm assuming it has something to do with the data somehow dropping connection when I'm on a call and then comes back when I open Google Maps again!
Anyone else had this issue? It's really annoying when I have multiple stops and on a call!
A solution could be to enable VoLTE.

VoLTE is already enabled and it is on WiFi preferred but shouldn't be an issue because my old S10+ was on the same and had no issues with it all
You have described 2 issues. 1) after disconnecting a call, maps doesn't appear but rather the phone app. Solution: go to phone settings and change the "call display while using app" to small pop-up. 2) data switching to H+ when on call...VoLTE should solve this which apparently is already enabled and you say is not working...for this does the VoLTE logo appear on the status bar..if not, you need check with your phone company to give you VoLTE enabled sim card.

1) the call does not disconnect it is ongoing but rather when I get to the next stop on Google Maps because I have multi-stops, the phone app automatically pops back up full screen even tho in settings, it is set to small popup.
2) Yes, the VoLTE symbol is in status bar always
Edit; I'm guessing this option below "Keep calls in popup" might solve my issue?!
