XPosed framework with Gravitybox [O] (Recomend for Reboot without hekate)I HAVE GRAVITY BOX AND XPOSED AND I HAVE NOT HAD A BOOTLOOP BUT VARIOUS USERS HAVE REPORTED THAT THEY HAVE HAD BOOTLOOP, MAYBE IT HAD BEEN THE INSTALLATION ANOTHER APK IN BAD CONDITION. I DO NOT RECOMMEND INSTALLING IT AT YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
Many have been able to boot straight into twrp from android by enabling developer options and enabling advanced reboot (tapping and holding power button > reboot > recovery).

Also, make sure to mount /system in TWRP before flashing OpenGApps, the joycon fix (the GTA one should work for other games, such as TR2), or other zips.

Thanks nastys, I added this.
I can't figure out how to get Fortnite working. I did magisk hide on the installer and used GLTools to spoof an Adreno 630 GPU but still says "device not supported".

Gravitybox is NOT supported on custom roms like LineageOS. It has caused bootloops for many people who didn't read the dev's following warning. From the link you provided:
"- SHOULD NOT be used with custom ROMs like Lineage, AOSPA, or any other derivative - it makes no sense since the most of the features are already in the ROM (may cause conflicts and unexpected behavior)"
Many have been able to boot straight into twrp from android by enabling developer options and enabling advanced reboot (tapping and holding power button > reboot > recovery). Also, the system UI tuner built I to Lineage already provides many of these features; you just have to explore the settings app a bit.
Thanks for this well organized post though. The main thread has many good tips and it's nice having someone consolidate them in one thread.
I haven't installed any Joycons fixes yet. Do i install all of them or is there certain ones that i need?
For Kodi ive found a better solution first Root your Android lineage
https://download.lineageos.org/extras
Download super su arm64 for lineage 15.1
Install Zip via twrp
Go to développer mode activate Root for application
Install this app screenshift https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...BMAB6BAgMEAM&usg=AOvVaw3CNZyMo4Q2G1SZUUN2iUGm
And create a profil 1280 720 activate and go in Kodi everything work perfecto
You Can create a profil 1920 1080 to go back normal
Btw Quick question can't find this path : Directory:Android/data/org.xmbc.kodi/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/
drag and drop "peripheral.joystick"
Some help ?

Oh! Thanks for photo evidence. It looks as if the latest version does support Lineage. I personally experienced a bootloop on gravity box for android 7 and kicked myself for not making a twrp backup. I only found out it wasn't supported on custom ROMs like lineage when I read the dev's description listed in the link you provided.
Out of curiosity, what gravity box tweaks do you use that aren't built into lineage?

Gravitybox [O] 8.5.4, Because we are in oreo, surely that's why you had bootloop when installing the Gravitybox, even the Xposed is important to know the SDK(Android version) that has our firmware and always check everything. install the Systemless Xposed

I'm sorry for the delay, you should install the one you like the Switch Style or XO / PS4 Style. The realease official only fixes the L3 and R3, the Analog didn't work for me.

I have already done that. I instead did the manual installation via TWRP which fixed the issue. The last question I have is that do I have to do the same thing with the actual Fortnite game as well?

In theory you should read your joycon, verify that the triggers work for you, if not, you should flash another zip, Style switch or XO / PS4. and in case the controller does not work, it uses octopus.
Any fix for Zr and Zl as RT and LT they dont work for me on GeForce now
@Chiveta The link to Screen Shift app doesn't work..at least not for me.
Googling it I happened to find the app to change resolution and so on...
Now I'm excited, maybe I can fix my screen with it. I have a sony 4k 120 hz tv and no matter how often I dock and undock the switch I get a "scrambled up" output on tv...though tv says it gets 1080p..
Great thread. It would be nice if the op was compressed in hide tags to make it easier to go through though.
Also I know I came here looking for useful stuff for android-switch, and I figure I post this here buried from the main thread:

12 Helpful Tips
.. for Switch users new to Android.
1. Place a battery percentage indicatior in the status bar so you can see the number increase in real time while charging. This is a temporary workaround; the current build doesn't indicate whether the system is charging while charging it.
Head to Settings > Battery > switch on Battery Percentage. I often play while charging, so it's helpful seeing this number go up simply by glancing at the status bar.
2. Use TWRP to create a backup image file of the entire android OS, so you can easily restore to it if an app, magsik or xposd module causes any issues, especially issues that cause bootloops. I also recommend using TWRP's built in file manager to move files back and forth between the 2GB fat32 partition and android's own storage system << this is helpful if you find FTP-ing a bit painful in certain circumstances.
Head to TWRP and tap Backup > Slide to initiate backup. (Tap the words "autogenerate" to rename your backup prior to initiating the backup. Note: none of the files accessible via the file manager will be deleted or backed up. Just the OS itself, instslled apps along with their data and settings (e.g your notes in a notes app). To access the file manager, tap Advanced on TWRPs home screen (you can move, copy and rename files and even delete magisk module folders if a particular magisk module is causing bootloops)
You can move this TWRP backup to a PC and even to another switch and restore it to move all your stuff to a second switch. TWRP backup images are stored on the non fat32 partion (fat32 partition is the 2GB partition that shows up on your PC when plug in this LineageOS SD card). To move this backup to the PC, install any free ftp or WiFi file transfer app and navigate it to /sdcard/TWRP/backups.
3. (optional but tricky) Uninstall System Bloatware
...RAM and other resources are precious. As amazing as this build is, the devs have left in some useless apps aren't needed on the Switch like Microsoft email exchanger, phone , call management and default SMS app, contacts app, LineageOS Updater (useless on unofficial builds), call log etc. I used Titanium Backup to uninstall these system apps. The process is tricky cuz system apps are notoriously difficult to remove unless you use apps like these. Also, uninstalling the wrong system app can bootloop your system so don't do this if you don't know what you're doing. MAKE A TWRP BACKUP BEFORE "DEBLOATING". I've saved over hundreds of MBs of ram and improved battery life by uninstalling bloatware that wastes CPU cycles.. Bloatware reduces performance in apps like dolphin, nom gaming apps and even sucks battery while the screen is off, esp annoying since this build doesn't CURRENTLY support deep sleep). A novice user should ONLY uninstall common sense apps (call log backup and restore, exchange, updater etc). And ALWAYS backup your ROM using TWRP beforehand to recover from bootloops secondary to accidental deletions.
4. Backup your apps AND data
..all thanks to Titanium Backup
..you can also restore app data from a TWRP backup using this app, give you two excellent backup options.
5. Enjoy system wide dark mode and other themes
..all thanks to Substratum
...if you've installed Xposd, download "Force Darkmode Oreo" < download via Xposd or the website.
..you can download tons of free and paid themes for Substrstum, including true black and gray themes, and give your eyes a break. System wide dark mode is coming in Android 10 but just because we're all on 8.1, doesn't mean we need to blind our eyes playing at night.
6. Use AdAway to block ads at the host level. Import more lists from the EasyList site. Tap and hold on the txt link then paste them in the app's sources.
7. Use AFwall+ or other firewalls, to allow only select apps access to the internet
8. Use Nova Launcher and download icon packs. The built in app launcher (called Trebuchet) has no customkzariom features but still uses over 160MB of RAM in this build. RAM is key for many demanding apps (eg depth of field/field of view in android games like PUBG, and even in Dolphin games) so every MB helps. Plus a new lanucher like Nova gives you tons of options to customize things to your liking. After installing a launcher and setting it as default, you can uninstall Trebuchet using a bloatware uninstaller like Titanium Backup.
9. Use AppOps (free or pro) to protect your privacy through fine grained permission control (or use the much more limited but still useful Privacy Guard << built into Lineage, simply search for it in settings). This feature is built into android but because unlike Apple, Google makes money through tracking, they've deliberately buried it by giving it no UI a user can easily control. This app provides that UI and simple switches to block clipboard access, prevent apps from waking up or running in the background, preventing unauthorized apps access to the SD card etc. Google officially gives users only like 20% of the privacy variable switches you can toggle off in this app. HIGHLY recommended.
10. Install XPOSD and an xposd module called Prevent Running, to prevent all your installed apps from randomly waking up in the background and wasting valuable RAM and other resources. (Note: may affect notifications so don't use it on messaging apps etc)
11. See which apps are sucking up your ram by using the built in RUNNING SERVICES setting. Head to Settings > System > About Tablet. Then scroll down & tap on the "build number" SEVEN times until developer options are enabled. Then head to Settings > System > Developer Options > Running Services.
12.Boost android launch time by preventing apps from automatically launching at startup. Once you've enabled Developer Options, head to Settings > System > Developer Options > Memory> scroll down and tap "Apps started on boot". Now you'll see a list of apps that have been configured to start up as soon as Android boots.
Alternatively, you can search in Settings for Privacy Guard > tap the three dots in the top right > then Advanced > now swipe all the way to the right til you see "run in background" and "bootup". You can now slide off each app you don't need as soon as the system boots. You can also prevent apps from running the background. You'll see a huge boost in boot times esp if you have tons of apps installed.
Bonus Tip: Upgrade the web rendering engine "Webview". This build has version 72.xxxx while the latest version from google as of July 29th is v. 76.xxx. Since most apps including the browser use Webview, upgrading will pay off. Not only does it boost browsing speed, but it's also essential to be keep our Switch STADIA -Ready, cuz Stadia will rely on the latest webview APIs found in Chrome. I don't use chrome, so this is helpful for people like me. This may be a noob opinion, but i think Stadia will likely rely on the latest Webview APIs, not necessarily the Chrome app. Even if you don't care about Stadia, upgrading webview will boost the internal web browsers of all your apps.
Install the latest Webview apk from the playstore/apkmirror (arm64 variant) > enable developer options > in develop options, you'll find an option to select Webview versions > switch from v72 to v76. Run browsing benchmarks and enjoy the boost! You can uninstall the older v72 webview using Titanium Backup.
..................................
I'd appreciate it if someone started a thread listing tips and recommended apps/tweaks that could really help switch users. For now, enjoy these tweaks from one noob to another.
Thanks to everyone who posted on this thread to help me and esp to the Switchroot team for their wizardry.

This is an ongoing developer project to make way for a modification that will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the experience of your phone. I know you've seen tablet mode roms before, they change two lines in your build.prop file which you could easily edit yourself in seconds and maybe throw a keyboard in there to make it work better. It's a start, but this ain't enough. This thing has potential, but it is wasted the moment you try to stuff a full blown tablet into your poor phone. Yet we all know our high res phones can very well handle more than silly 1-column layouts. So the magic must be in between somewhere, a place that Google must have overlooked and left blank. Yes, this rom strives to drop your device into tablet mode, but it won't stop there, it will reshape and redefine ICS to make it all a usefull addition and not just a cute novelty. we're calling it: Hybrid Mode, best of both worlds.

Question & Answear:
Q: Can I flash PA 0.x from any other ROM?
A: Do not try to flash this ROM from any Samsung ICS ROM or ROMS Based on Samsungs Kernels like
my CM9, AOSP, etc. First flash any stock Gingerbread ROM with odin or any GB kernel [instructions]. Then root the device [instructions] and reboot into recovery once again before flashing the this ROM.
Q: Is it safe to flash another ROM from this one if you did not change kernels?
A: Sure, but why would you want to?
Q: Can I flash PA 0.5 directly in order to update from a previous Version?
A: Yes, flash the ROM, clear Dalvik and Cache and install GAPPS. No Factory Restore needed. Be careful when restoring backups. Most problems start after a restore. Keep that in mind.
Q: What Kernel is being used?
A: It usually runs the kernel from latest CM9 nightly.
PA 0.4 includes Linux Version 3.0.32-CM-g12ef675 ([email protected]) (gcc version 4.4.3 (GCC)) #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Jun 26 07:59:44 PDT 2012
PA 0.5 includes Linux Version 3.0.32-CM-g60af3e5 [email protected] #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Jul 13 01:30:38 PDT 2012
Q: Can I change Kernels?
A: Yes but you will void this threads “Warranty” meaning you might experience unusual behavior’s that are outside of the scope of this thread. If you don’t know what you are doing we recommend you stay with the included Kernel.
Q: Where can I find PA v0.5 compatible Kernels?
A: Get the latest nightly Kernel from CM9 or you can find some CWM flashable Kernels in the following Posts. Do read the follow up posts to determine its behaviour with PA. If you are not sure what to do stick to the included one.
Check scourgeofgod's great summary for list of alternative Kernels for PA v0.5: Post Nr. 7112 (Please visit the respective Thread or Site if you have Questions. Do not post any Problems that are related to alternative Kernels in this Thread).

Q: Where Can I find more Themes for Paranoid Android?
A: You can find a large selection of CM9 Themes right here at XDA for Free: Check out Infinitum Black for example.
Q: Where Can I find SNote from the Samsung Stock ROM?
A: Nowhere since the TouchWiz Framework is needed in order for it to work. You will have to find an alternative like Papyrus Beta, Jotter, Memo, Quill, Freenote, etc. As a sidenote Apps like the modded Samsung Taskmanager do work.
Q: Where Can I find "Samsung Apps"

A: None so far. Using them can lead to a very unstable OS. If you don’t know what you are doing we recommend you wait. When People report it working, give it some time. EDIT - The app switcher on CM9/AOSP/AOKP looks skewed on Tablet Mode. I can't exactly tell by seeing in the picture but is it any better here? (NVM, I see that it's fixed! Yay!)

Wow! That looks pretty darn amazing! I'm on Apex Launcher and it looks really bad on Tablet Mode -- Nova looks fine though. This ROM is perfect. At least now I don't have to switch b/w the Phone and Tablet mode every couple of hours. :/
Did not expect to see this so soon. Will update with my experience once I see the download link.
Thanks for this wonderful ROM!

I've took that instruction from official CM9 thread
Basically instructions are same as for CM9.
You must NOT flash from any Samsung ICS kernel, you should use any GB kernel to flash instead.
If you have official CM9 installed on your phone - you can just reboot to recovery and flash.

Installation instructions
NEW INSTALL PROCEDURE (simplified):
wipe data / factory reset.
flash 5.8.zip
that is the only file you need.
when you flash it , you will see options for part 1 and 2.
install part 1.
reboot to system.
flash 5.8.zip
install part 2.
choose options,
fix permissions, reboot.
the new installer will walk you through the install easily and quickly.
MY INSTALL PROCEDURE:
Figured I'd write these down so that there was no confusion. These are the steps I take to ensure a proper install.
There may be other methods that work just fine, however, this works every time for me and is most compatible.
If you have any problems.. before you get angry, you may want to try this way first.
While doing this, it's safe to ignore all references to "unable to mount '/usbstorage.'" This is just recovery looking for a usb otg device.
Nothing to worry about here. Just pretend it doesn't exist. It's looking for a usb stick or hd.
1. >Copy minin3.mj4.R4x.zip to your memory card. (internal or external - I use the external card for backups and rom installs,
and have never run into an issue though my card is only 16gb. If you have any issues here try from the internal card and remove the external.
In my case external_sd/roms/minin3/minin3.mj4.R4ultimate.zip)
2. >Boot phone to recovery. (from power off - volume up+home+power)
I use TWRP recovery Version - 2.6.3.7. However, if you run into issues you may try going back to version - 2.6.3.2
3. >press "wipe"
>press "advanced wipe"
>check "Dalvik Cache" , "System" , "Data" , "cache"
(you may be able to get away with not wiping data, but once again, I highly recommend it)
>swipe to Wipe
>look for "wipe complete successful" at the top of the screen
(once agian ignore all references to "unable to mount '/usbstorage')
>press "back"
>press the little house icon in the bottom left (sort of anyway)
>press "reboot"
>press "recovery"
>swipe to reboot
>press "do not install"
(phone will then reboot back to recovery)
4. >press "install"
>navigate to your rom file
(in my case, I pressed on the grey bar that says "storage: internal storage" and selected "micro sdcard" (the external sd)
I then selected the folder "minin3" from the bottom box, then the file "minin3.mj4.R4ultimate.zip")
>swipe to confirm flash
(ignore "unable to mount /usbstorage")
>wait aprox 1-3 minutes while it does its thing.. you should then see "successful" and some buttons
>press "reboot system"
5. >Initial phone setup is optional. In my case, I just skip it all and log in after. Works both ways.
(either way, get through the setup wizard until you are on the desktop)
>boot back into recovery (either power off, or reboot and hold vol+ and home)
6. >press "install"
>navigate back to the rom file (for me once again minin3/minin3.mj4.R4ultimate.zip)
>swipe to confirm flash (give it a minute to do its thing)
>press the little home button again in the bottom left
7. >press "advanced"
>press "fix permissions"
>swipe to confirm (this should be very quick)
>press "reboot system"
8. phone should boot to dashboard
9. >now would be a good time to also open both viper4android apps and let them install the drivers
>choose whatever setting you like for viper4android and choose cortex neon for xhifi.
At this point you should be ready to go with all the major stuff ready and known bugs squashed.
11. >reboot
12. >enjoy MiniN3 v5.4
(If dirty flashing (not wiping before hand - epecially data) you still may want to boot and flash a second time, and then fix permissions in case I missed anything.. it won't hurt either way)
UPDATE INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS>
FULLY INSTALL PREVIOUS VERSION (in this case 5.4)
then reboot to recovery, flash the update, and before rebooting go to advanced>fix permissions.
then reboot.

You just keep on being awesome! Loving the minimalist approach. I have tried all the ROMS that are for Sprint and while they all are great and have their perks, this one is my new daily driver.

CONTRIBUTORS TAKE NOTICE.
Apparently issue was taken with how we were running the thread.
In an attempt to keep us in the rules the following changes were made.
Even though all users were getting updates as I thought they were stable. We are not allowed to have anything that looks like your paying to get extra features.
Some issues were also taken with the donation wording.
Until we decide a final solution. This is what will happen for the immediate future.....
ALL CONTRIBUTORS have been moved to the "test group"
For you guys nothing really changes.
The folder your using stays the same though the label will change from contributor folder to test folder.
New additions to the test group will be at my discretion only. Anyone may contact me by PM or email and ask for a slot. I can accept or deny them at will.
From time to time I will invite users from the thread who have shown a commitment to the rom.
I will also invite those who contribute something useful to the rom. (If they have work in it they should have access at all points)
The test group will then continue the same job as the contributor group was doing previously. Really for this part it's just a name change. As things are deemed stable (by me again no one else gets a say here) they will be released to everyone.
I'm not sure how else this will effect the future of this rom on xda. Though I will be maintaining development for my own use anyway.
So for the moment. As far as you guys are concerned. No real changes.
If anyone would like details you may contact me privately.
I will only discuss this here in general terms just so there is no possible future issue.

Great Thanks
Looks good, by bloatware do you mean all Samsung apps are removed as well? Did you keep the Sammy keyboard? Love that thing lol.

thats what i like to hear. version two coming in the next day or so. mostly done.another 80 mb removed but added some functionality back.
re added gallery mostly just so it was possible to change lockscreen wallpaper. cleaned up some bugs added some smaller stuff back. still looking like right around 550mb with some of the functions returned.i am going to keep the stock installed apps very light but want it to come out of the box with everything needed to use.anything else can just be grabbed from the market. just finishing up what to add back.and finding a place to host it and get it uploaded with my slow poke internet,

MegaKat for the Metro Galaxy Mega is finally here...
NOT FOR I9205 OR I9200
ONLY FOR METRO GALAXY MEGA 6.3
MegaKat Metro V32X has the same enhancements and tweaks as MegaKat V32X i9205
MegaKat Metro v32X:
Note 5 Ram management optimizations for instant recent apps and switching between apps
Camera overhauled with test shots in the i9205 thread
Super fast and efficient
Shut Down All Knox Security Lockouts
Removed Any Sd Card Locks
Modded Secure Storage
Rebuilt Dalvik and Cache Controller
Camera Optimizations
Removed All Data Mining Via System Apks
Volume Boosted at System Level
I Skipped To V26 As This Build Should Be Way Better
Other Significant Improvements....enjoy
MegaKat Metro V2:
Adds simply updated root binary with a non rooted zip of v2 to follow
Features of V1:
Deodexed
***Rooted: an issue with root binaries on 4.4.4 tw causing root issue
Zipaligned
BusyBox
All KNOX Removed
Insanely Fast
2d Rendering Optimized
3d Rendering Optimized
Framelocked at 60fps
Amazing Battery Life: average 5.5 hours screen on and 34 hours total
Additional optimizations and refinements
***Same tweaks and optimizations as MegaKat V12 for i9205
Known Issues:
The only known issue so far is root...the binaries have not been updated so even though I rooted the rom since it's 4.4.4 and apparently the proper root binaries have yet to be released there is no root as of yet...obviously as we get it I'll update it but you should be able to root once autoroot comes out for the new 4.4.4 build.
Flashing Instructions
*Thanks Zeuszoos for the write up...original write up with dirty flashing instructions posted in the thread from the link below...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=62506291
Dowload the following file first, before you begin with anything:
Google Play Services Apk: https://db.tt/xUVseaZ7
The link is for the "prior to 5.x" and "240 dpi" version of Google Play Services (the device's Default) and is the "034" version of this Services install (just FYI).
Install Steps: Clean flash/clean setup
00) It's always reco to odin flash the stock rom base to start with a stable platform to run off...and as always for the fastest most efficient stable issue free experience...clean flash/clean setup
01) Perform a NanDroid backup of current build
02) Copy the "MegaKat Metro Rom VXxX zip" to your external sd card
03) Reboot into PhilZ Touch Recovery (6.48.4).
04) Wipe: clear data/cache/dalvik/system...or factory reset/wipe
05) Choose "Install Zip".
06) Browse to the "MegaKat Metro Vxxx" Zip file and then select it...
07)Let the rom flash until complete
08) Reboot normally and let everything load to start up
09)Let your Mega rest for 10-15 mins
10) Reboot Into Recovery
11) Select "PhilZ Settings".
12) Run "Re-Root System (SuperSU)" and Reboot.
13) Go into the Google Play Store and Download and Install the SuperSU app
*(if you already had Pro installed, then it will still be installed. Go to Pro instead and uninstall it, then install SuperSU).
(**SuperSu Pro tip cont... If you bought "SuperSU Pro", in order to get it to recognize Pro, open up the SuperSU app and go into its Settings and use the "Go Pro" option to install Pro. When you exit back to SuperSU, it will recognize that Pro is installed.)
14)Open SuperSu...Ok...NORMAL...let supersu install binaries into system
15) Reboot the device.
16)Install your apps/root apps
17) Remember to open root apps and grant root acces
18)Enable Dev Options...Uncheck Force Gpu Rendering
19)Perform a NanDroid backup once your setup is nailed down
20)Let your build settle in for the typical 3-4 charge cycles then adjust your setup accordingly...
Remember to check out the op2 in Megakat main thread for optimizing your setup
Flashing Notes...
* If, after installing MegaKat Metro you see the following error after the rom boots up...
"Google Play Services Error"
(Above Status Bar)...then install the Play Services Apk at this point and Reboot... Then continue on with the Steps. If it happened at Step 6 and you missed it, trust me, you'll definitely know when you get to Step 13 trying to open play store
No worries though! Just do the same thing there!
...Enjoy the MegaKat Metro Rom...

In my op2 I like to share apks, apps, mods, tweaks, ringtones, and hd backgrounds...if you post to the thread I'll add it here to the op2...im always adding kit to this op typically every few days I'll add a new zooper widget, background or apk...enjoy
My personal setup step by step...
For the absolute most optimal setup follow these few simple steps to take FireKat to a whole new level and make your Note 4 run unlike any other...enjoy
I've had so many requests for this here ya go...here's how I do my exact setup...absolutely most optimized possible
....
1. Uncheck Force Gpu Rendering in developer options...about phone, click FireKat VXxX(whatever build your on) 10 times to unlock dev options
2. Use Wanam and Xposed to deactivate Dvsf under Advanced in Wanam...dramatic boost in responsiveness, lower running temp, no screen dimming or cpu throttling
3. Change Animation and Transition settings in developer options...set all 3 from 1.0x to 0.5x. ..another huge boost to responsiveness and speed of any launcher
4. Greenify all downloaded user apps...Dont touch system app/don't activate greenify xposed mod
5. Disable the follow apps
Samsung Push Service
Google Chrome
Google Books
Google Magazines
Google Music
Google Hangouts
Google Plus
*obviously unless you use any of the above
6. Install latest Google Play Services apk...def seems to have lower battery drain that previous few apks
7. Disable google location history and location reporting...doesn't affect maps or g now at all only stops a ton of data mining and wake locks
8. Do not use power saving mode...it defeats the optimizations and tweaks I've done to make the battery life so awesome
Enjoy the new build...latterly for those who want v1 on crack and steroids...use multicore controller or setcpu to max throttle the cpu to 2.7 ghz full time on performance governor lol then you're head will be spinning
Mega
*Restore Full User Write Access to SD Card: will be reinstating this final hack in v4 but you can It yourself if necessary: use a root explorer:
for the SDcard, make sure you have this in /
system
/etc
/permissions
/open platform.xml as editable text
(Scroll down and find)
< group gid="sdcard_r" / >
< group gid="sdcard_rw" / >
You must add a 3rd line that's been removed by Google to restore user writte access do as follows directly below...group gid sd card rw...to give
< group gid="sdcard_r" / >
< group gid="sdcard_rw" / >
< group gid="media_rw" / >
Make necessary changes to make it look exactly as shown but obviosuly withing the formatting of the text editor your using at to make the mod...its already been done for v3 unrooted
Save and reboot
Enjoy

***Some of these may or may not be supported on tmo/metro base builds...i know several were not supported or have no function, some are also simply renamed/different toggle code but does the same thing...ie driving/car mode, blocking/do not disturb ect... so if you try one that doesn't work let me know and I'll note it and remove from the list...likewise I'm sure with the s5 and a few other new devices there may be more toggles hidden in kk if you find any that work let me know and I'll add them...enjoy

It wasn't working before I flashed GApps. I think it's because I flashed over MegaFire or something... going to try a different recovery method... I wanted to touch on the subject of the current safety net situation, This is what I have done and so far so good, nice and stable..
I re-flashed custom firmware to overwrite any changes, alternatively you can remove magisk, xposed etc.., restore backup.. what ever works, you just want to have a clean slate pretty much.
Remove root (obviously skip this step if your not rooted) - I simply went into the supersu app and removed from there.
If your using TWRP use the terminal in advanced settings and type the following: echo "SYSTEMLESS=true" > /data/.supersu - Alternatively you can use your favourite file explorer and create a file named .supersu at: /data/.supersu and simply write in the following line: SYSTEMLESS=true
Flash supersu 2.78, which will be flashed in systemless mode as per the config file we created in the previous step.
Flash xposed systemless 86.2 (this version does not depend on Magisk, therefore Magisk does not need to be installed at all).
Flash suhide 0.53.
Not sure why people were flashing magisk, along with supersu for magisk when using this particular version of xposed systemless (86.2).. I think this is what is creating the lag mentioned in a few posts on the thread.
Good luck

All downloads (except twrp, phh user apk, pokemon go joystick) can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/mod-magisk-v1-universal-systemless-t3432382
1. Unroot your device (if rooted, I use supersu from playstore)
2. Install twrp or any custom recovery (google it)
3. Flash magisk (Magisk-v6.zip)
4. Flash phh superuser (phh-superuser-17-magisk.zip)
5. Flash custom xposed (xposed-v86.5-sdk23-topjohnwu.zip)
6. Reboot
7. Install phh superuser (playstore)
7. Install magisk manager apk (Magisk_Manager_v1.2.apk)
8. Install xposed installer apk (XposedInstaller_by_dvdandroid.apk)
9. Open phh superuser, click the 3 dots on upper right and go to Settings>Superuser Access>Apps Only (may vary depending on your OS, Im using CM13 on Redmi 1s)
10. Install Pokemon Go Joystick v2.4.4
11. Activate Pokemon Go Joystick v2.4.4 module in xposed
12. Reboot
13. Now open magisk manager and disable root toggle (be sure to allow root permission to this app using phh superuser or you will end up activating the root toogle every time you disable it)
14. Now open Pokemon Go Joystick v2.4.4 and set up as normal then Launch Pokemon Go v.0.37
If you have questions feel free to post here. Will try to answer as soon as I can

You can still play using joystick, just a bit a faff on if you reboot.
Get xposed showing active, have root ON in magisk manager
open joystick
go back to xposed and in the framework tab/section do a softreboot
when the device comes back on you'll still have the same windows/apps open
goto magisk manager, toggle root off
launch pokémon go

How to use 'move on tap':
Enable this mode, by tapping the palm button.
Tap anywhere on the screen for the player to move.
Turn off the mode by using the same button.
NOTE: When Move on tap is enabled, you can't touch items in the game. So enable and disable this mode whenever needed.
How to use 'Pokemap':
After searching or without searching, you have to tap on a particular location on map.
And then use 'Load nearby pokemons' button.
Wait for few seconds for it to load the pokemons.
NOTE: This feature depends on the service provider's availability and also the location you've chosen. It might not work as expected at a certain time or for a certain location.
Floating settings :
Save time by using the Settings icon near the joystick. without having to jump between the game and joystick.
How to use bookmarks:
Open map
Tap your favourite location
Give it a name
Done!
To load:
Open bookmarks
Choose your saved location
Done!
Press back and start joystick
To delete:
Long press that bookmark -> Delete.
If you get this message in Marshmallow: "Enable:Settings -> Developer options -> Allow mock locations", Try this:
Open this app and then open Settings -> Developer Options -> Choose mock location app -> Choose 'Pokemon Go Joystick'
Best practices:
When moving form v1.x to 2.x, Clear data before launching the updated app. Make sure you 'Allow mock locations' or Select this app in 'Select mock location app' (Marshmallow) before launching the module
Set location mode to 'Device only' in case you are troubled when fighting/capturing.
Set speed to slow/slower if you want to search for Pokemons. Running faster may not give adequate time for a Pokemon to spawn in that location.
Don't start at far off locations. You might get banned.
General fixes recommended by users for device specific issues:

Option "Resident" means the app will stay locked in memory or at least try to... Download App Settings version 1.13, just search xda for it I hope then it will work for you...

GOT AN ERROR/NOT WORKING? HERE ARE THE SOLUTIONS:
stanleyhafeld said:
“Failed to detect location.†(if this doesn’t work, then do the teleportation fix)
Change the GPS to High Accuracy, move your location on GPS Spoofer and restart Pokémon GO.
“Pokéstops not working/Pokémon fleeing after 1 Pokéball?â€
You probably traveled too fast and got soft-banned, don’t worry, it lasts an hour.
“My player keeps teleporting between locations.â€
Install an app from the Play Store called “DisableService†and allow root (obviously), search for the service “Fused Location†under System tab and disable that service. Then reboot. Doing this trick will disable your real GPS and then no teleporting will be happening. If you want your real GPS back, just enable “Fused Location†again and reboot.
“When I try to disable AR, everything freezes/crashes.â€
Disable camera by going into REGEDIT on your computer and going to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BlueStacks\Guests\Android\Configâ€. Press camera and change the ‘1’ to a ‘0’, save and you’re done.
“When I start Pokémon Go Mod Apk, I get a gray screen.â€
Either close Bluestacks entirely and relaunch Bluestacks or uninstall Bluestacks and redo the tutorial with Bluestacks for Windows 7/8.
“When I throw a Pokéball, the game crashes.â€
Delete your Google account from settings and restart Pokémon GO.

That's because current location can't be determined. Is location off?
i always get "Enable:Settings -> Developer options -> Allow mock locations" but i don't have this option
i can only choose one app as a mock-location-app in developer options

Pokemon Go Joystick is not in the list of the selectable apps
Is this undetectable??
I have the same issue on LG g3 marshmallow. Not in the mock location app list.

Have this module running in the background while opening settings. BTW, did you reboot after turning master switch on?
Any chance of getting this to work on 4.2.2? I want to try using it on MEmu (Lollipop version of it is only x64, my tablet is x86)

Yeah, it is as of now. It's working fine. Maybe, if you go too far - change countries - your account will be temporarily banned by Pokemon Go.

Pokemon works on Android 4.4+ only right? Maybe this module can be made to work, but not the game.
I still do not get the app to show on the mock locations list, even when running it on the background.

What is this?
These are two Magisk modules that adds the following cool features to any Pixel 3, 4, 5 and 6 device running Android 12:
Enable/Disable Google Sans font system wide
Adds Icon Styles and Icon Shapes overlays from Android 11
Fonts options
Enable/Disable Combined signal icons
Pixel 6 Wallpapers
Adds 2 button mode navigation (it was removed on Android 11 but I think some users like that navigation mode, so I add it)
Adaptive sound options
Navigation bar options (reduce keyboard bottom space size, completely remove NavBar)
SystemUI Tuner options
Enable Game Overlay for all Pixels by default (although, if something goes wrong while playing games, you can disable this feature)
Enable/disable dual tone battery meter (it only works on icon portrait mode)
Enable/disable showing the number of unread messages on status bar notifications
Reduce Status bar height (and option to correct left padding on devices with the notch on the left)
Option to enable/disable more themed icons on launcher (some apps don't have a themed icon so it won't work for all apps)
Enable/Disable left shortcut on Lock screen
Enable/Disable camera shortcut on Lock screen
------------------//------------------------
Enable/Disable Wifi + Cell QS Tiles instead of single Internet QS Tile *
Battery Styles *
Clock Customization *
Network Traffic Indicators (on Pixel 5, Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro devices they only work on QS Header) *
QS Battery percentage independent options (show estimate time remaining or just percentage) *
Dual tone Light/Dark themes for QuickSettings Panel and Power Menu *
Album art on lock screen options *
Music visualizer options (requires Visualizer fix module) *
QS Quick pulldown with one finger (options are off, drag from the top left and drag from the top right) *
Rom Control app (to setup all these options)
* -> These features are only available if "SystemUI module" is installed.
Downloads:
Addon_Features_for_Pixel_Visualizer_Fix.zip -> Install this module first (if you haven't installed it before). Afterwards, reboot your device and wait for about 1 minute before doing anything else. Really, I'm not joking, install, reboot and just wait. You see, this "Visualizer fix" module is only needed in order to add a missing permission to SystemUI. It only has to be installed once (obviously, if in the future you clean flash the ROM, you'll have to flash it again or you'll be missing that required permission). And, since it's only needed once, this module is deleted from the system after doing what it has to do. So, it's normal that you won't see it as installed after installing everything.
Android_12_Addon_Features_for_Pixel_V8.zip -> "Harmless" module that works on any Pixel device running on STOCK ROM, The features marked with an * above options, on Rom Control app, won't do anything if the SystemUI module, shared next, isn't installed.
Android_12_Pixel_3_SystemUI_for_Addon_Features_V7.zip -> This is "THE" module! This module adds all xml and smali changes into SystemUI and framework-res. Without this module the "exclusive features" won't work. Also, this module could be responsible for breaking boot if it fails to work at your end. I've ran several tests on my device (a Pixel 4a) and didn't face any issues but, since this module replaces stock SystemUI and framework-res for modded ones, you could run into problems if some other module tries to do the same or it's simply incompatible with it.
Android_12_Fixes_for_Pixel_3.zip -> This module is an extra and it's only for Pixel 3 devices. It enables the rounded corners on windows, as well as, AOD screen lights on/off animations.
Notes regarding the "exclusive version" for Pixel devices:
DO NOT, I'll repeat, DO NOT flash "SystemUI module" zip on any other ROM besides stock Pixel. It won't work! If you want those extra features on your current ROM you will have to port them yourself. I explain how to later on this post.
Make sure that you're able to run adb shell as root before rebooting your device.
If something goes wrong after flashing "SystemUI module", like if your device doesn't boot or something stupid, connect your phone to your PC during boot and run this:
Code:
adb shell
Code:
su
Code:
rm -rf /data/adb/modules/Modded_SystemUI && reboot
If you forgot to enable the ability to run adb shell as root, and if your device is on a "non-boot" state, the only way you can fix that is to remove all Magisk modules you have installed. That can be achieved by running the following commands during boot:
Code:
adb shell
Code:
magisk --remove-modules
If none of the above methods work to get your device booting, then you have to boot into safe mode. By doing so, Magisk will disable all modules for you (it doesn't uninstall them, just disables them). To force a boot into safe mode all you need to do is to keep pressing volume down button during boot animation. After the system boots into safe mode you can reboot your device to boot up normally (since all modules will be disabled). If you get stuck during boot animation again, just force another reboot (I've had to do that during my tests).
When a new OTA update comes please don't flash the "SystemUI module" until I say it's ok to do so. I mean, me or any other member who may have tested it. Why? Because Google may change things on stock SystemUI and/or framework-res between builds. When that happens, I have to recreate the module again to adapt those changes. Rest assured that I'll always test the module with new builds and update as necessary.
The SystemUI module is different on Pixel 6 devices! For those I had to make a new module, since Pixel 6 SystemUI is different from all other Pixels.
In case your device gets caught in a bootloop, please provide me a logcat so I may try and look if anything can be done about it. To do so, during boot connect your device to your PC and grab a logcat with this adb command:
Code:
adb logcat > log.txt
After grabbing the log, please open the txt file and search for "FATAL". Afterwards post here the lines where the "Fatal error occurred".
I've made these modules for my personal use and just decided to share with all XDA community. Having this in mind, there's no need for donations (although I won't refuse them if you want to buy me a beer). As for requests or whatever, I can only add more stuff when, and if, I have time for it. I'm a really busy man in real life so I can't promise anything nor ETAs.
Requirements:
Unlocked bootloader
Magisk Root | Magisk Manager
Suggestion:
Uninstall all other modules you may have installed before installing SystemUI module zip. They could be incompatible with the "SystemUI module" thus making the device get caught in a bootloop. You may install them afterwards, one by one, just to make sure everything is ok.
If you're up to it, instead of disabling/removing modules, I recommend you to flash latest stock build through fastboot using flash_all.bat. In order to retain your data, remove the "-w" flag from the update command on flash-all script.
How to install?
Flash the "SytemUI" Magisk Module
Reboot device
If it booted ok, flash "Addon Features" Magisk Module
Reboot device
Have fun!
Faced a black screen after flashing the "SystemUI MOD"? Then try this:
(This usually happens when an error about "TensorFlow lib" is shown on the logcat, if it's any other error, don't do this. Share the log instead so I may take a look)
Enable 2 button, or 3 button, navigation mode on System Settings
Install "SytemUI" Magisk Module
Reboot device
Have fun!
If you're still having issues or if you want to fix that "TensorFlow lib stupid bug", which is responsible for not being able to use stock gestures navigation, then you'll have to do this:
Uninstall all previous Magisk modules you had installed
Completely uninstall Magisk (using the option on Magisk Manager app)
Reboot device
Flash latest stock ROM build through fastboot using flash_all.bat (remember to remove the -w flag inside the bat file if you want to keep your data)
Root the device again using latest Magisk Canary (stable version works for the time being but latest Magisk Canary is more compatible with Android 12)
Flash these two modules, and only these just to make sure no other module is causing conflicts
Reboot device
Hopefully it will work, so enjoy!
Video:
Check all Rom Control (with exclusive features) options HERE.
Note that this video was recorded when I've made this for Android 11. Some features may not be present (yet) for Android 12. The video is here only for those, who have never tried this on Android 11, may understand what to expect.
How's these "exclusive features" even possible?
All features that you see on Pixel Devices "SystemUI module" were reverse engineered from Proton AOSP and Evolution X ROM source code. The source code is available on the links bellow shown on the credits. This means that I've been practicing some hard core "old school" Android smali edition in order to get this working. So, yes, I have some credits about this but, if it weren't for the original developers and it's public source code, none of this would be possible. Thank them for this!
Smali, and xml, edition wasn't enough to get this working. After decompiling, changing/adapt the code and recompiling everything again, I had to find a way to make it bootable without messing with the original apk signature. And here is where VR Theme logic came in handy. So thanks for the original dev who brought us this feature.
As for ROM Control app....this was/is a project created by daxgirl and wubydax back in 2015! So yeah, I'm not bringing anything new here, I just followed their instructions in order to get the features working after editing smali/xml with the source code taken from PAOSP and Evolution X. The original app source code is also available on the link shared on the credits.
I've just combined all of the above into a Magisk Module and shared here so that we can get the best of both worlds....a stock ROM with custom features included.

You little beauty! Thankyou, downloading now
Woohoo! Thanks a lot. My status bar is FINALLY back to normal after A12 messed it up!
Hello!
Both modules have been updated to Version 5 and the links are now available on the OP.
What changed?
Added Android 11 Icon Styles and Icon Shapes overlays
Added ProtonAOSP Fonts overlays
Option to enable/disable Wifi and Data separate Tiles, instead of Internet Tile
Reduced screenshot overlay PIP time after taking a screenshot
Added more themed icons
Updated Rom Control app
Hope you may enjoy this.
Heads up:
The icons and fonts overlays gets disabled after a reboot or a SystemUI restart. Don't know why. So, after a reboot you'll have to change those options again.
The icon shapes, sometimes, require us to disable theme icons and enable it again after choosing our desired shape. Don't know why as well...
Yeah, this kind'a sucks... but, if I find a solution, I'll fix it on next version.
Cheers!
Hello!
Both modules have been updated to Version 6 and the links are now available on the OP.
What changed?
Added Album art on lock screen options
Added Music visualizer options (requires Addon_Features_for_Pixel_Visualizer_Fix.zip)
Force Google Sans system-wide is now optional
Enable/disable combined signal icons on status bar
Added center clock fix to the right (for Pixel 3a models)
Updated Rom Control app
Heads up:
I still wasn't able to understand what causes the fonts, icons and icon shapes overlays get reset upon reboot or SystemUI restart
Install Addon_Features_for_Pixel_Visualizer_Fix.zip first. Afterwards, reboot and wait for about 1 minute before doing anything else. Really, I'm not joking, install, reboot and just wait. Afterwards you may install the other 2 modules and reboot
The visualizer fix is deleted from the system after doing what it has to do. So it's normal that you won't see it as installed after finishing all this. That fix is only there to add a missing permission to SystemUI. It only has to be installed once (obviously if on the future you clean flash the ROM, you'll have to do it again)
Anyway, hope you may enjoy this.
Cheers!
Hay, I installed these modules, it reminded me about Pixel Experience Plus, but now I dont know how to disable 'force Google Sans fonts system wide' and font like this (absolutely I dont like this", so you can show me how to turn it off?

I've included an option for that on Addon features latest version. It's on "Themes" section.
Quite obvious, if you ask me, but...ok...
Looks like there's a conflict between this and the Font Manager module. System freezes repeatedly and have to reboot if both are activated.
Tried again with v6, thinking it might be the global font option that was causing it, but even with that option off still getting freezing.
Any ideas how to make them both work together? Just want my iOS emojis and right-side clock at the same time. Lol.

If you're not enabling Google Sans system wide, then I really don't know what could cause any conflict regarding fonts. Maybe that other module needs some update, don't know.
Try to grab a logcat when the freeze happens.
And, by the way, the freeze doesn't happen if you just use that other module?

I'll try to get a logcat. No, the freeze only happens when both are enabled, not when either is enabled separately.
Hello!
Both modules have been updated to Version 7 and the links are now available on the OP.
What changed?
Fix fonts, icons and icon shapes overlays get reset upon reboot or SystemUI restart
Light theme QS Header is now optional
Added 2 more battery styles (Big circle and Big dotted circle)
Added option to enable/disable dual tone battery meter (it only works on icon portrait mode)
Added option to enable/disable showing the number of unread messages on status bar notifications
Added option for QS Quick pulldown with one finger (options are off, drag from the top left and drag from the top right)
Enable Game Overlay for all Pixels by default (although, if something goes wrong while playing games, you can disable this feature)
Added 8 new fonts overlays
Fix lag on camera if navbar his completely hidden
Added option to enable/disable left shortcut on Lock screen
Added option to enable/disable camera shortcut on Lock screen
Force Google Sans system-wide is still optional but it's enabled by default (I like it that way, so yeah...bummer. You'll still be able to disable it, so no problem whatsoever)
Removed battery percentage option on system settings (since we can now change it on ROM Control app, it didn't make much sense to leave it there. Besides, it wasn't doing anything...)
Updated Rom Control app
Hope you may enjoy this.
Cheers!

Sorry for disturbing but I found the thread in Pixel 6 Forum which provides much newer versions of this and I installed it. However my Pixel 3 **booted twice** which means it doesn’t support the full version of the latest module according to the thread and I noticed that the github page says “from 3a to 6” but I don’t know if Pixel 3 is included. The question is I have no idea whether it was because Pixel 3 is not supported by the latest version that my installation fell back to lite version, or some other factors led to that. I wonder if Pixel 3 is supported, and if not, what the last version that supports Pixel 3 is as V8 mentioned in this post doesn’t work property on my device (The centralized time is not at the exact center of the status bar but a little shifted to the left).

Hello.
Please read this post. The answer to your question is there.
Cheers!
From this day on, Addon Features Module will no longer receive any updates. It's the EOL for it.
BUT....
I'm pretty sure you all noticed that @siavash79 has been working with me for some time now and we've teamed up to come up with a module that will try to, not only have everything Addon Features had, but MORE.
HOW!?
By creating a new project, called "AOSP Mods".
That project will be a mix between a Magisk module and Xposed module (using Lsposed zygisk version).
For now, the 2 projects are still separated (Addon Features and AOSP Mods) but the final objective is to merge them into a single module.
So, you may still use Addon Features V21 LITE version module zip but, in order to have some of the "exclusive features", that were present on FULL version, working, you'll need to flash AOSP Mods as well.
So, let's all just move on to the new AOSP Mods thread and start to have fun together, shall we?
See you guys "on the other side".
Cheers!
