well as we all know auto rotation is broken in this beta and we all want it , ill quick show you how you fix that.
open google play store and download an app called "Rotation Control"
install and than open in and tick on both options
1.start controlling rotation
2.start on boot
and close the app
now drag down the notification menu and make rotation option look like this , auto rotation fixed now.

also you can lock rotation and many apps will be forced to use this rotation
to do so go to settings->apps->rotation control- display over apps , and enable.
when enabling the shield icon on the rotation control panel all apps will use current rotation
have fun folks ...
Nice fix!
No matter what option I choose in the rotation control panel, auto rotation does not seem to want to work. At least I can conveniently switch between landscape and portrait mode with this app, so it's still useful.

Of course auto rotation does not work, because this release of Android does not support the sensors & no app is going to change that. This app simply let's you manually rotate.

Thanks. In that case, the post is a bit misleading. Nowhere mentions that the sensors don't work, only that auto rotation doesn't work, and the post clearly states it fixes auto rotation, which lead me to believe that the issue was not with the sensors but with the way the Android OS was reading them and that 3rd party apps was a workaround for this. I'm sure I'm not the first that has been confused by the terminology used.

will Loopy tweak help to keep it work after heavy use ?
I have no idea, but you can try it. I only now that this app have cause some issue when the phone is in Airplane Mode. (you can't connect to network)
Oh haven't checked this. But I won't use this lockscreen due to missing quick setting of sound / vibration .. but i could try to use it from status bar .. i will try once more xD thanks anyway

I made it with loopy tweak and excluded from task killer and even if i reboot the processes with FMR (great app) it's still alive only the airplane mode problem. I think the Pin insertion is included in standard launcher /lockscreen so it doesn't work but i don't need airplane mode LOL so everything 's good.

- Display on home screen
- Display in the notification
- Float over other apps
★ Features:
- Adjust the size of icon
- Adjust the opacity of icon
- Built-in icon library
- Select icon from the pictures in your device
- Vibrate when locking
- Play sounds when locking
- Display weather information in floating shortcut
- Floating shortcut can auto hide in fullscreen mode
- Set floating shortcut to the desired position on the screen
- Floating shortcut can auto return to lock position
(In this mode, when shortcut is moved, it will automatically move back to lock position in seconds.

I don't think there is a way and personally I haven't found anything. This appears to be something Google did with Android Pi, it shows up in Nova Launcher also. From what I can tell by reading and useage (during the beta) the button appears when orientation lock is activated, when it is set to auto-rotate the button doesn't show up at all. I don't see any app or setting that controls it, so it maybe something that requires some form of app or other modification to get rid of.
I have only seen it appear when rotation lock is active and the phone has detected itself as being held opposite of what the rotation lock is set at. For example if the screen is locked at portrait orientation then the button only appears when it is held in landscape orientation.

Yeah, still looking lol. Let me know if you find anything
It seems to be working now but I'm still not able to get full screen reading in Chrome and other apps due to lack of a proper immersive mode. This app seems to work but a bit kludgy:
Fullscreen Immersive - No Ads, No Root - Apps on Google Play
Fullscreen immersive mode in applications or games

I had a look into this today, and it appears that the area across where the hole punch for the camera lies, which also acts as the status bar, can only be used if the app itself is modified for this. I *think* i saw one app that extended into this area.
Using the following coode, one can set immersice mode for specific apps. I tested on A11 with no nav, and all it did was change the colour of the status bar. But it was still there. I also tried an app that has the option to hide the status bar, and I think it hid the clock etc, but the area reserved for the status bar was still unused.
The commands I played with were:
Code:
settings put global policy_control immersive.full=diamondjohndroid.utility.temefi;
settings get global policy_control;
#start the app, but only status bar colour changes
# undo the change
settings delete global policy_control;
Naked browser uses status bar without immersive installed
