Spent the last 2 hours reading through all the posts and searching Google in regards to finding an extended battery, 1800mah or 2000mah that fits with the stock cover and works with our NFC chip.
All the posts on here are a few weeks to a few months old, so I was wondering if anyone has found the hidden gem? I know about the Korean version with the case mod, but I enjoy the OEM case with the "Galaxy S II" logo on the back. But if push comes to shove and there are no other options, I will go with the Korean one.
So, anyone want to help out?
Korean one is your best bet as I have looked at all the aftermarket extended batteries which do not have NFC in them.
NFC is in the battery not the phone.
But I am also interested in a good, confirmed, extended battery that will fit like stock.

The NFC chip is in the phone and is allowed to be used by a "NFC ready" battery.

It's all good, still figuring the whole thing out myself.
Sent from my fist full of Galaxy S II.
I bought the 2000mah euro version for its cover and i bought the 2000 mah Korean version for the battery. Waiting for them 2 arrive. Then i need 2 sell the euro version battery.

So, can the 2000mah Korean version cover be dremeled down to snap onto the i777 properly?
I'm a little confused, why not get the battery and use the stock cover?

Probably can but i don't have a dremel, that's why i bought the euro version 2000mah kit, it supposedly snaps right on.

Got the Korean version, dremeled the Korean cover to fit on, and then went ahead and bought a SGP Linear case. Looks amazing.

Awesome!
1. Can I get a link to your seller? I have found that a lot of them can't confirm their batteries have NFC capabilities (I'm assuming yours did).
2. How did the case fit after modding?
3. With the sgp case, do you just have to leave off the battery cover section so that it ends up being something like a bumper?
Thanks!

Yes they did, the case fit pretty well - as if it came factory, and nope, the case fits over the battery and the battery cover.
I will post some pictures and maybe a little tutorial and all that when I get home next weekend.
I bought it from here though.

i think the model # from the link is incorrect. "...STD" version is the international non-nfc version. the korean (nfc) is either "...BSG" or "...BEG".

Might be the page which is incorrect, because my battery model number is: EB-K1A2EBSG.
On the site it also says "The EB-K1A2EBSG is the Korean version of the EB-K1A2EBEGSTD. The battery is an NFC version and will fit any Samsung Galaxy S2. However, the back plate is incompatible, and only fits the Korean Galaxy S 2."
Thanks for the link! I'm assuming the site's reputable right? Mind if I ask what shipping method you chose and how long it took? Thanks for all your help!
(P.S. Saw you were from California, my wife and I are heading to wedding in LA. Hoping for nice weather!)

Pretty reputable, it's a French company and being from France I trusted it. I know my cousin who lives in France uses it a lot.
I used standard international shipping and it took about 8 days from being marked as "shipped" to arrive to me in California.
Weather has been pretty nice, not that much rain, spent a few days in LA with my family who lives there, but I'm in France now visiting the other side of my family!
So wait, the battery COVER* you purchased off of ExportPrive didn't need any sort of modification to snap into an i777? I'm a little confused! haha. I'm excited to pick one up! Also by 'Euro' version of SGSII, do you mean the standard/stock i9100 cover? I can just pick up a nice looking aftermarket i9100 case and it'll accommodate the larger battery? Thanks again.
(UK) Received mine today, anyone else get theirs? (Wales).

TNT turned up at exactly the same time the wife popped up the local, I've been told I can pick it up from the depot at 9am tomorrow..
At least the depot is over the road from work I suppose..
Ordered at 8:58 as an afterthought because the Nexus 4 sold out even quicker (I'd always intended on getting the N10 as well, I know it's not exactly an alternative to the N4 lol) Went out late this morning but luckily there's always someone in at my house. Got home about 1ish and there it was.

How fast is browsing? How about apps more dependent on stored data, like Currents or other apps that make you wait while they "load"? Oh, one more thing -- can someone check the dalvik.vm.heapsize and the vm.swappiness for me please? Thank you

Now if one of you will just look under display in the settings and tell us once and for all if there is an option there for "wireless display" please? The uncertainty of whether it was getting miracast or not has kept me from pushing the "buy it now " button.

Hello guys I require some suggestions here.
I own a Sola (out of warranty) purchased from the US, and my battery has gone really bad. It has swollen up and randomly shuts down the phone.
Basically have to replace it ASAP.
So I'm in India and its really difficult to find a spare out of warrenty. A rare store i found said it'l cost Rs 3000 (USD 56$). I tried searching online and only landed up with http://www.battery-shops.com/sony-ericsson/mt27i-xperia-sola
That gave me the model number and put up big questions in my mind
1. How come Sola has the same battery model as Neo, Ray [BA700] etc? Aren't inbuilt different?
2. Sola's normal capacity is 1500 Mah or 1320 Mah ? These have 1500 rating
Please reply.
This should be the right one

Thanks for all the suggestions people. I managed to find a service center in India where an acquaintance works. So they registered my ticket and have given a date of 6-12 days for the battery to be shipped and replaced at the center.

As it turns out the original price of the battery is just around Rs 800 (Less than 15$) which is crazy considering Sony is not marketing at less than Rs 2000 for the in built batteries sold externally.
So after a bit of help I did manage to place the replacement order for Rs 1300 (23$) including service charges.Lets see how that goes.

Hi all
l got a new battery. The problem is that the phone suddenly turns off when it still shows 30-35% of the battery. Is there a way to improve it or to calibrate the battery?
thx
Search the forums - you'll find how to calibrate battery - but i don't think that is your problem . Btw are you on stock ?
would recommend an apk for that

and if you have just flashed a ROM or so, jusst go in recovery mode, reset battery history and calibrate

Well firstly rule #1 of XDA is to use search, which you clearly haven't done or you have and haven't read topic properley. This topic has absolutely no reason to be created anymore, we already have plenty of them so users can simply read/reply to those. Also when creating topics use descriptive titles.
Where did you buy this battery (give link). Its likely that you have purchased a cheap/fake battery that is labeled as having one capacity but actually has a lower one or its just plain low quality/faulty.
Purchase genuine Samsung battery or a generic one from high quality manufacturer/seller.

I didn't ask where you bought the phone, I asked where you bought the battery. If you meant you bought battery of ebay then that is your problem, You have very likely purchased a cheap fake/faulty version so your battery meter is completely irrelevant and calibration wont make a difference (if battery is faulty/fake).

I get why ChazzMatt roasts people on here.
That's not what I said. LG made a statement that due to some new capsulation technology in the P-OLED it would be mitigated.
The article refers to the Pixel XL2 screen having burn in. It's the same screen as the V30. I was looking for some sort of confirmation of that.

Yes there is:
http://www.lgnewsroom.com/2017/08/n...o-feature-first-ever-oled-fullvision-display/
"Most importantly, using advanced encapsulation and pixel-scanning technology, the burn-in problem that has affected OLED technology in the past has been all but eliminated in the P-OLED technology in LG’s upcoming device."
Not saying this is accurate just answering the question.

There is no proof that the V30 and Pixel 2 XL have "same screen". Same manufacturer, diagonal and number of pixels does not mean "same screen". Google may have chosen to buy cheaper screens in order to increase profits, or maybe LG didn't want (or couldn't because of yeld issues) to deliver their best technology screens to Google.
I'm seeing it...
I started to notice it yesterday while reading an eBook. I'm waiting to see if it gets worse before contacting LG. I have a LG v30 from Verizon.

Sure. I noticed it last night for the first time while reading a book via the Kindle app (black text/white background). It's about 3/4 of the way down from the top of the screen. It's almost like the Kindle app is transparent, but it isn't. Hope that makes sense. I bought the phone the day it came out and have been using it as my daily driver since Oct 5th. Love the device/features. Takes amazing pics and quad DAC is impressive.
Hello everyone. Jumping in here because I am getting a V30 tomorrow. But just wanted to add to this. I have seen people point out that this is not "burn in" but image retention or image persistence. If this is the case, it's not a permanent thing and will probably fix itself the more you use the device. A device would have to be used for a longer period of time to get actual "burn in" I would think.
Well what the best way to prevent burn in? Any ideas?
I just a S8 in the store has very very bad burn in.
Don't put your brightness on 100% like they do in the stores. I keep mine on 60% generally during the day, crank it up to 90ish if I go for a walk and then turn it way down at night. I do that on all my phones and have never had burn in. My sister keeps hers over 90 all the time and always complains about burn in.

I've been using AMOLED Burn-in Fixer on my S7 edge after I got burn-in from Waze. It basically sets up Negative Colors from the accessibility options, as I can tell. the burn in is much better, but not gone (and I really wish Waze would do something about this, as it's probably the only app which will do this).

Here's the image: Taken from my Nexus 5X of the V30 screen, gray wallpaper in preview. You can really see it about 1/3 the way up from the bottom of the screen. That's exactly what I saw yesterday. It's more noticeable when the screen dims. I'm going to reach out to LG and open a case.
