First of all I would like to say i have done a lot of reading both here and on Lenovo forums where unfortunately files and threads disappear I have done this reading long time ago and back then it wasn't possible to install Windows on the Android version of the tablet, however now after two years it seems it could be possible I see some threads about installing Windows on Yoga Books so maybe the situation around tablets evolved an its already possible.
I'm able to take some risks as the tablet is completely used at the moment and it will stay that way until it runs Windows, which i need to utilize the tablet car diagnostics which only run under windows. It would be really cool to make this work as I dont want to lave one tablet utilized and buying a new one cheap one for 100$.
Thx for your inputs !

Hey there. Have found any way to do it? If so, it will be very kind of you if you send the links and instructions. I've done some research myself. Yet no results.

I purchased a Lenovo IdeaPad tablet. I've rooted two phones easily, no problems. This thing is being testy! I literally spent all night trying to use "SuperOneClick", which freezes every time. Apparently this is a large problem, with people posting on the shortfuse website about it, but no word at all from that developer (too bad...sounded promising). Then, I utilized the thread search, but I only received, oh I don't know, ~70 pages for the same thread, which provided no help whatsoever. But all I want to do is root it so that I can put an app on it to recieve a bluetooth internet tether. No custom Rom's or nothing. I'm here because not only is this place the standard for Android apparently, but the shortfuse page also links back here as well. If this is in the wrong spot to ask, please move accordingly, but there is no spot in the tablets for the IdeaPad. Thanks in advance for your help!
Wow. I thought something special about this place! But the "noob" fixed it himself. Thanks for the load of a lack of help.

If you noticed in my post, I said I did try "super"oneclick (and yes with all appropriate drivers) for a whole night. As I mentioned, I figured it out myself. But at least you did try, can't say that about anyone else...for that you receive my thanks.
Lenovo thinkpad a-1
I have the same problem tried oneclick and always stops at # 7 waiting on device.
how did you finally manage to get root? any help would be appreciated.. I have also rooted several HTC android phones but this thinkpad is kicking my butt.
Bought the HP printer that came with the Zeen because it seemed like a good idea.
its a not so bad setup that would be much better with a more capable tablet. the Zeen is a flaming turd.
I'd like to port the specific apps first to my old Nook Color making it a dedicated device.
I'm not a total n00b to Linux, command line, and hacking some Android but this is much more .
ideas and help on accomplishing this is appreciated.
did you find anything about the zeen i want to flash a new rom but i dont see nothing about it anywhere

Nope nothing, The tablet itself isn't worth much at all.
You can root the thing. Had one of them a while back, was OK, HERE is where i left it at that time. The kids loved it, it was sturdy. Google is your friend

Well, it can be used as a secondary display ! You can use it to mirror the screen of windows device over the Android powered tablets . For guide on how to why don't you try seeing the post over by the tech hive it will help you in guidling how can you mirror the Android device screen by using some simple tricks. What you are going to require is an Android application, Android powered tablet running JellyBean or higher version, Window7 or higher version of OS, and both of the devices should be connected to the same network. Thanks for this information about using android devices as secondary displays. I knew exactly where to come for the best information. I've read elsewhere on the Internet that this can cause the android device to freeze up and other problems, but when executed correctly, it can be quite useful. Does anyone have first-hand experience with this?
Grateful
Before I dive into this I'd like to thank you. The fact that someone like yourself would take time out to help out a dummies like myself. I don't know if any of this applies to a Note 5 or Galaxy Tab A ,but trying to mirror either one of those is a friggin joke,it's like Vegas odd's if it will work!
Hopefully I can help someone
else out down the road.
I've actually stayed away from your site for quite a while. The last time I was on it the person I was trying to get ask a question apparently didn't like my level of "tech intelligence",he scared me,lol. So it's nice to have you answer something that I've been afraid to ask and embarrass myself for long time ,this is really good stuff,
so alot thanks,...jl...
Greetings Xda. This is my first post, so apologies if this is on the wrong board.
Firstly to give you an idea of my own knowledge and experience: I've worked as a software developer for the last couple of years, doing primarily Java and C++. I have a good amount of experience using Linux, however all my experience is almost exclusively with Server and Desktop Applications.
I have an Android tablet that I bought a couple of years ago and I've been trying to come up for a use for it. I would like to completely remove all of the software I can, and turn the thing into a control panel that can send commands over wifi to control or monitor anything I want (I'll probably use HTTP requests to a server for this, but that's not relevant).
I have very little knowledge of how I can start, although I'm guessing that somehow I could install Debian with an existing desktop environment to do this. Can anybody give my advice and point me towards material I can use to achieve this?
The Tablet is a versus touchtab 8dc.
Cheers.
Hello everyone. I recently bought a new hp chromebook 11- v020wm for the sole purpose of running tails on it. After getting tails onto my usb I have been unable to find an answer on how to boot from usb. Theres loads of info out there on how to do this for every other make of chromebook besides HPs version and rather than risk bricking my new chromebook with the wrong commands I thought I would ask for some experienced help. Thanks, sorry I'm a noob lol.
I am looking to do the same thing on a 14" hp. Just started looking and figured i check here.
Don't try the HP site. Anything other than the issued software is a no no, including discussions on developer mode. A post will get locked quickly with a snippy remark from one of the monitors. BTW, did you find the solution?
