Hi all, since the last two firmware upgrades (I am now on 9.1.0.310), it appears several features of the camera have been moved or removed altogether: for instance, there is no Phi grid or Fibonacci grid anymore (only the common assistive grid), the favorites pictures selection disappeared and is back again (I had to reselect all my favorites); the 'good food' mode has disappeared etc.
Anyone experiencing the same?
I hope Huawei is not downplaying the Mate 20 Pro for the coming Mate 30 Pro's sake.
Huawei use some kind of analytics in their apps and probably has removed several "non-popular" or rarely used options.
Still they should not have removed

Hi, Personally i like the EMUI interface since EMUI 3.0. resently i bought 1 Huawei P9 Plus & 2 Huawei P9 Lite. when i bought those 3 smartphones all icons had unifed look of home screen by placing them on rounded rectangles or squares-in circles ("squircles"). But now only EMUI icons are rounded rectangles or squares-in circles third party apps have like nexus icons, Now all icons are not unified form.
I want to get back unified icons for all apps like before or just like on iOS. i did contact few times huawei they opened a case for this but they need more people who want the same thing as me.
So i know their so many peoples who wants original icons without borders around on all third party apps icons. so that's why my suggestion to Huawei was to implement an option where we can eassly activate or deactivate borders on tird party apps icons or to propose us two different type of themes pre installed on smartphone.
Please signe to this petition with me & let Huawei & me know your opinion via comments.

Hi All,
Just recently got the Mate 20 Pro and I am really enjoying it!
One disappointment is that my previous phone (P20 Pro) had an option to randomly change the wallpaper, like from my camera gallery pictures. This is was my favourite feature! This option does not seem to be available in the Mate 20 pro, except for a "Magazine" feature for the lock screen. This is, obviously, not the same.
Does any one know if this is a bug or if it is hidden in a different menu?
Thanks
Chris
Can't find it too on my phone shipped with a French ROM.
I started to use "Wallpaper Changer" application from the store instead.
Hello all,
I run Chrome Dev as a browser on my Pixel 3, and have been running the dev build for many years with little issue.
A while ago, Chrome introduced a grid tab switcher view that I liked very much, and tab groups that I also thought were useful for decluttering. I'm not sure exactly when/if these features were added to the stable build.
However, within the last couple of weeks, both features are gone. I do not recall the exact date or version that triggered this. The tab switcher is now just the "stacked card" layout, which I don't care for anymore. The tab groups are nowhere to be found (no context menu option to "open in new tab in group"). I found some similar issues from a few months ago, and followed those steps: I have checked the the relevant `chrome://flags` options, and have forced them to enable if they were set to default (see screenshot).
Interestingly, I also tried installing Chrome Beta and Stable, and the features didn't seem to appear there either.
Anybody know why this changed, and how to get the other behavior back? Thanks!
This is what I did to get "index cards" view back
Reboot your phone after it's done
Just got the Android 11 update on my T-Mobile V60. Are there any new useful features or improvements? All I'm seeing are UI changes that I don't particularly like.
DO NOT update to Android 11. I am having many problems since the update - hot phone, rapid battery discharge. I would hold off for now.
Working great for me. No complaints and like some of the new features. I did update, backup, and do a full factory reset though. Maybe try that?
I flashed the AT&T OTA and after a factory reset (and setting up my phone again like new), I haven't had any real issues. I'm pretty pleased with the update, so far. It's been a few days. I've had some issues with preferred third-party software not working properly (RIP Fluid Navigation Gestures), and have had to make a few adjustments here and there, but nothing that I wasn't expecting from a major OS point upgrade like this.
Here's a short list of Android 10 -> 11 changes I Googled up:
Message bubbles and 'priority' conversations. ...
Redesigned notifications. ...
New Power Menu with smart home controls. ...
New Media playback widget. ...
Resizable picture-in-picture window. ...
Screen recording. ...
Smart app suggestions. ...
New Recent apps screen.

I haven't fully explored everything, so I don't know if LG excluded or tweaked some. LG does incorporate their own UI, so it's bound to do a few things a little differently compared to stock Android.
The latest update I got on my S21 is now OneUI 4.1. The recently used apps screen (hit ||| button from home) now has what appears to be a hard coded collection of icons for samsung apps I'll never use. Can I change those to something more useful, or better yet eradicate them completely? (They used to be icons for recently used apps, which seemed redundant since the whole screen was also recently used apps).
