Best App for Amazfit Bip - Amazfit

Hi all,
I've just bought myself Amazfit Bip from Amazon & was wondering what's the best app to use apart from Mi App?
Also where can I get more app to add to watch?

There are third party apps to sync data, etc, but I don't recommend using them as you may brick your watch trying to update the firmware. If you don't care about updates, you can try them, I know at least Notify & Fitness and Tools & Amazfit. You can't install apps to BIL, it runs a proprietary OS without storage access available.

Ah I see.. Which would you recommend from then three?
Surely I can always connect to Mi Fit for updates then uninstall to use other apps again

Best apP for BIP
I use the Zepp app (was Amazfit) as it allows direct sync with Strava.
Mi Fit app doesn't

Amazfit pace Mifit app sync

I can't get my Amazfit Pace synced with Mifit app. When I tap on sync with Smartwath from Mifit app, it opens Amazfit app but nothing else happens.
Can anyone help, please?
ROM: 1.3.3a
amazfit version 1.7.1
Mifit version 3.0.2
Amazfit Pace does not support sync to mifit (US firmware)
Simplest way is to install pacefied firmware and your watch will use Chinese API which supports mifit(you also will need to set your smartphone region to Chinese before logging in into amazfit app)
Another way is fake watch pairing QR with Chinese API url instead US one, but it works pretty bad and forces to toggle smartphone bluetooth almost every time you want to sync with amazfit app, so i don't recommend this way.
I managed to do it by installing Amazfit app from Xiaomi market, login with Mi account and from MiFit app, sync with Watch.
The problem is that I'm now using Xiaomi's market app and it doesn't support Strava

I cannot sync it up with MIFit app even after installing Amazfit app from the Xiaomi market. When I press Activity sync -> View on the Amazfit Watch app, it opens m.app.mi.com webpage and offers me to download a Chinese app that the phone could not open.
Please help.
Hi, any news about that? It's a pity.

Third party fitness apps for the pace?

As nice as I find the pace hardware, as bad do I consider the app for it. So is there any third party app (think notify or gadgetbridge) that can export fitness data from it?
You can in theory export data from the Amazfit app, but if you don't like the interface then you can also use the Mi Fit app if the watch is set up correctly. I'm using PACEfied, and it works, so I think you need the Chinese firmware (the Chinese firmware syncs with Mi Fit rather than Strava)
Other than that, it's a case of installing the latest Chinese APK (which is still in English), the latest version of Mi Fit and adding the watch in Mi Fit, the only consideration being that you need to be signed into the same account
You can also export data from the Mi Fit app, but it's kind of pointless in your case as exporting from the Amazfit app is just as easy
Guess I will have to try pacefied because with stock rom I cannot get mifit to work

One phone multiple watches

I am using a Stratos during the week and I love it, but thinking of getting an amazfit bip for the weekends. Does the amazfit app/android phones allow pairing of multiple watches at the same time? Any caveats?
I'm sure this answer is out there but my google Fu is not strong and haven't been able to find the right answer with my search terms.
Cheers,
OD
Does anyone have more than one amazfit watched synced to their android phone?
Cheers,
OD
I don't think it's possible in Amazfit app, although it allows you to pair with another watch maybe it will replace the exiting one, but I have never tried doing this.
But MiFit seems to allow multiple devices as long as they are not the same type, for example, one MiBand and one Bip or Pace.
Thanks for that. I don't see an option in the amazfit to add another watch. Also, when I try to pair the Stratos to mi fit it just takes me into the amazfit app.
I uninstalled the amazfit app to test but when I tried to pair the Stratos in mi fit it prompted me to install amazfit app...
Does the Bip have this same requirement? Perhaps the amazfit app can sync with the Stratos and mi fit can sync with the Bip?
Cheers,
OD
When I open Amazfit app and go to Profile I can see "Pair new watch" there, and it tries to read another QR code.
Yes, MiFit requires Amazfit app to pair with Pace/Stratos, and it's a complicated issue... I was able to use my Pace with both apps fro Play Store (i.e. not CN version) using the same account in both (I used Google account, but FB should work too), but a lot of people have problems doing it. The only thing I did previously was testing a CN version of Amazfit and paired with Pace using my Mi account, and I never unpaired the watch but used adb to display the QR code on watch whenever it was needed.
Sure, you can use each app with a device, but they won't sync the data, so what's the point?

I successfully linked an Amazfit Bip and a Mi Band 4 to Mi Fit on the same phone. I had a second Mi Fit installed in Xiaomi's Second Space on my Pocophone and another Mi Fit installed on the primary section of the phone. Each Mi Fit is paired with just one device so there is no conflict.
Totally off topic but the title reminded me of a certain internet video... ?
Have an amazfit GTR and a Mi band 4, want to swatch and combine data for both, but no luck sofar. I can add both to the amazfit app, but have to switch between them which resets the step counter for the day... strangely enough once you click the step counter, it does show a combined value
Any solutions for this ?

I'm confused. Mi fit and Amazfit apps

I have a stratos 2. Do I still need Mi Fit when I have the amazfit app? What will I lose or gain if I use either or both?
I also forgot what I signed up/in for my amazfit app? How do I check?

You can't, the only way it to log out and login again. No data will be lost and you don't need to unpair watch, it will be paired automatically when you login again.
You must use Amazfit for notifications and other stuff, but you can upload sports data directly from watch using WiFi. If you add the watch to MiFit as well, the data will be synced there too (using the cloud), for this to work you must use the same account to login to both apps, obviously. MiFit if only needed if you want to sync data with GoogleFit on Android or AppleHealth on iOS, or perhaps its social features.
Oh I see. Thanks! But if I log out of amazfit, I won't be able to login since I don't know what I used as login ID. I'm worried all data will be lost if I don't know what account I'm using.

What do you mean? Simply login to an official version from PlayStore/AppStore when the phone language isn't se to Chinese and you should be able to activate Strava sync. Login with the same account where you store your data, no need to unpair/pair again watch, simply uninstall the current app (if you are using the CN version, for instance), install new one, login and you should see your watch automatically, then go to your profile, add accounts and activate Strava sync. Once activated it will work as long as you use the same account with Amazfit app and don't unpair watch.
I have mifit and amazfit apps. In mifit I have a lot of data from miband 2.
after adding stratos mifit is still using same database so its fine but in amazfit app I can only see data from the first day of using stratos (no history).
It seems now I have to sync independent Mifit app and Amazfit app. How to solve it?

Maybe a stupid question, but do you know how I can sync my steps and sleep on the mi fit? Right now it only syncs my activities, but I would like to have everything synced to MiFit.

Here, when it works, it syncs everything. You may want to unpair the watch and do not restore old data to it, or if it doesn't work, unpair, logout from both accounts and start over. PS: unpairing deletes all data on watch.
I have Stratos, and Mi Band 1S, and my Activities from Amazfit app are synced properly to Mi Fit through cloud(same login in both apps). My problem is that even if i see Activities from Amazfit app in Mi Fit, they are not synced to Google Fit(steps, and sleep from Mi Band are synced properly). How to sync Activities to Google Fit?

It will never will, it only works the other way around: Amazfit -> MiFit, and only with new activities.

Use Zepp and Mi Fit

Hello,
I am using Zepp to read my Stratos watch data daily.
I'd like to know if it's possible to sync watch data to both Zepp and Mi Fit. These apps will be installed separately on two phones.
How will Stratos select which phone to sync?
Any impact about the data?
Please share your feedback if this is the case.
Thanks.
you can pair your watch to only one device at a time.
