Hi all.
Just asking for your expertise on this which I totally don't understand.
My friends bought 2 X01ht unlocked versions recently. They have been unlocked and loaded with olipro bootloader which chinese rom and radio on it. But when we check the imei thru settings-> device information, they have the same imei. I think imei is something written on the rom and can't be changed, even if we patch new radio rom, right?
Unless something uses other tools to change the imei manually, right?
there are tools that can rewrite the IMEI on a phone ROM flashing or radio flashing will not do it. I believe those tools are hard to get ahold of though but changing the IMEI is possable and i have sen it done before.
check if the devices have been opened (no warranty sticker), probably the person who has unlocked them has copied the flash from one qualcomm to another, this requires taking out the qualcomm chip to flash it and then solder it back to the device.

The shop told me that the flashing changed the IEMI no. other than opening the case.
Flashing using the normal RUU won't change your IMEI number, it can change the last 2 digits (Software Verison) of the IMEISV (17 digit instead of 15).
maybe hardware problem bc check the imei thru settings-> device information >15 digits
Hello mates,
I have lost one IMEI Number in my oneplus x after bad flashing.
I don't have EFS backup with me and I don't know what the second IMEI Number was.
Earlier both IMEI were not showing as blank but with help of oneplus remote support team I got one IMEI back but other IMEI is still showing as "0", so I am not able to use phone in dual SIM mode. I need to use only one SIM in either first SIM slot or second SIM slot.
So can anyone help me to get my second IMEI back?

Not rooted.
Hi guys....
I'm with a big problem (or huge problem, ou gigantic problem)...Have a Honor 10 (COL-L29) with variant C636 (Asia Pacific) and region hw/spcseas. I tried flash a some images in device, and not make a backup from my exists oeminfo (yes, i'm stupid and noob user). I make flash a oeminfo from board software (my bootlogo now appears Huawei Ascend), and results: not have serial number (appears 0123456789ABCDEF), no region (appears unknown region), no imei (appears 0000000000000), NOTHING!!!! My bootloader is locked (i try entry in special fastboot mode by testpoint) and shows unlocked, but after reboot, lock again...
Please, help me!!! I'm searching for all internet (I wanna just recover my IMEIs and Serial Number). Device starts normally, but without informations mentioned above.

I'm thinking a change my device...but is not the intention now...
So, i see in internet (correct me if i was wrong), what a oeminfo file does have the imei information. See too in same applications (dc-unlocker/sigmakey) you can write your imei, HCU too (all applications paid).
My question is: IS there a possibility to insert a IMEI (MEID/SN) in oeminfo file (because i know is binary file)
Attached a file from my device in about device
One more time, i say thank you for all help.....

Hi,
I own Lenovo K9 Note having model number L38012. I know there are many threads like no IMEI, no signal, etc, etc, etc but none of them proved to be helpful. Moreover, I googled everywhere about the problem but I got nothing. The device I own seems to be very new. So, I need help.
The problem is that when I reset my device, it became FRP locked(in starting I didn't understand what was that since I'm a newbie). I flashed stock ROM but nothing happened. THEN I ERASED ENTIRE FLASH FROM PARTITION MANAGER IN QFIL TOOL . My phone became hard bricked but somehow I recovered from it and also now I can use my phone like before but the problem arose that I ended up with no IMEI, NO SIM CARD I somehow restored IMEI by using the QCN file of another device (Mi A1) since I didn't find the QCN of mines on google as mines is a very new device. I used the IMEI Rebuilder tool and edited the IMEI code from the downloaded QCN with my device's IMEI. In this way, I got my IMEI back but NO SIM CARD DETECTED AND WHEN DETECTED AFTER REBOOT, IT SAYS NO SIGNAL FOR BOTH SIM CARDS. ALSO, ACCELEROMETER STOPPED WORKING I tried several methods like:
1. fastboot erase modem (and modemst1, modemst2, fsg, cache, userdata, PERSIST)
2. flashed others PERSIST.img file found on different threads
Somehow recovered sensors like proximity, light and compass by flashing any persist.img but still NO SIGNAL, ACCELEROMETER NOT WORKING BUT SHOWING IMEI after dialing *#06#
ALSO, I DON'T HAVE BACKUPS OF SUCH CRITICAL PARTITIONS. I know I did a BIG MISTAKE.
So please can somebody provide me a solution ( or provide qcn dummy for Lenovo k9 note if someone owns such stupid device Also someone can provide me the PERSIST.IMG OR OTHER important partitions of the said device).
The stock firmware doesn't include these critical partitions.
My device specs:
Model: Lenovo K9 Note (L38012)
SoC: Qualcomm Snapdragon 450(SDM450)
Processor: Octa-core CORTEX ARM A53 @ 1.6 GHz
RAM: 4 GB
Please help if possible as I am afraid and I urgently need the phone. Any HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thanks In Advance...
Thanks
I somehow recovered the accelerometer by flashing persist.img found on the link https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/fixed-gyroscope-accelerometer-magnetic-t3522745
Now, the problem is when I insert the sim card, there is no network though IMEI is showing in *#06#
After dialing *#*#4636#*#* and heading to phone information, the radio state is showing OFF and signal strength = 0 in both sim cards.
In fastboot mode, bootloader version and baseband version are showing unknown while in settings baseband version is showing some string.
Thanks
Please someone reply soon
I just saw a post about someone getting the error "Please enter a valid IMEI number." when submitting phones to OnePlus for bootloader unlock for N200s.
Is it possible they bought used phones with changed IMEIs? I am trying to learn if that's possible, or not.

i know back in the day changing imei number was a thing. but nowndays you changing imei on newer phone will cause a very very hard brick. plus it's illegal to change imei numbers on phones.
imei nembers for phones is just like your VIN on your car. each phone has its own imei number.
no phones has the same imei numbers.
so if you change it
it will brick
