Good night everybody! my dad got this phone a while ago, after like 2 months he told me the phone was going crazy, I checked and was getting FC´s everywhere so get into recovery mode to wipe everything and there´s where problems started. I downloaded stock firmware and installed it but phone wouldn´t boot up, so my dad gave it to a guy that ``fixed it´´ but the problem came back after two weeks or so, the guy ´´fix it ´´ again but when I looked into the phone had no IMEI so didn´t recognized the sim card, the third time the guy got back the IMEI, that was long ago and today when I booted up the phone is having a weird behavior, sometimes gets stucked at the bootloader unlock warning, I restart it and after a couple of times starts the boot up animation but gets stucked at the M and like waving part.
I´ve tried getting into recovery mode but when I press any of those options boots to the warning bootloader. I got it to completley turn on when I pressed the recovery option; not expecting that to happened, but again some force close windows and decided to reboot it to see if would fix it but again to the same place stuck at the warning.
I´ve read many posts here im xda and outside but can´t find a solution. I tried to side load the firmware but looks like the pc doesnt recognize the phone´, when i got it boot up I connected it to the pc but didn´t recognized it, I installed the drivers and still the same.
Guess I need to get it recognized by the pc in order to try to side load a firmware. Sorry for the long post and any mistake, if someone can help to bring back to life this little fella.
Hi,
after restarting my phone today it all of a sudden is stuck while booting. About 1,5 Years ago I flashed cyanogenmode (6.0 I believe) and it has been working fine until today. Now it's just stuck at the boot screen. Sometimes it even says "preparing X out of Y apps" but just restarts again after that. What could be wrong here? What can I do?
I can still open twrp at least. It is very important that I can restore my phone numbers (and whatsapp groups). Data is important too of course but when I'm at twrp I can connect my phone to my computer so that should be fine.
Maybe someone has an answer how I can restore my phone without flashing it again (if that will work at all). If I could restore my phone numbers safely I might be thinking about upgrading to Android 8 though.
I have one more general question. If I flash a Kenzo Rom to my Kate phone will I brick my phone or will it just not be able to boot (wich can be fixed). I have wondered about that one since I got my Kate.

i had the same...
my phone bootlooped.. 1 week later my mom redmi note 3 also... we both had RR on it.. i was lazy and didnt reflash it directly. then i unlocked bootloader and flashed miui. for my mom and me RR and i meesed up my phone again... and was not motivated to fix it again.
now xiaomi messed up the unlock bootloader... and i cant unlock it anymore... so now im stuck on miui with no root no twrp.... has been like this since 2018..
Try flashing LAZY Flasher it might boot up.
Have you managed to solve this OP? The exact same thing has just happened to me out of nowhere. I was also running CM, although my phone is Kenzo, rather than Kate.
It's been so long since I did any flashing/updating etc. that I've completely forgotten what the hell to do :crying:
EDIT:
I've managed to restore a backup.
Firstly, let me quickly outline what I have done.
Unlocked bootloader
Installed TWRP
Installed a ROM. I wasn't happy with it. It was rooted which of course my banking app didn't like. hideSU didn't work, I couldn't remove root so I tried another ROM.
Once installed I reboot and I have stuck in this loop ever since. I cannot get into TWRP. I've gone into fastboot mode multiple times and tried over and over to install TWRP and reboot into it but nothing.
Worse still is the erecovery option to download latest version over wifi just doesn't work, "Getting package info failed".
Another "useful" Huawei feature if the ability to hold vol up and down to auto install a firmware image. Not helpful when I have no ability to put any files on the device in these modes.
Finally, I have no idea what exact version of firmware I need to download. All I know it is a P20 lite and I bought it from the UK.
Can anyone help? I'm literally staring at this brick stuck in eRecovery.
your try to use hwOTA8, this installs 100% all the firmware (I had the same problem as yours).
nm
Never knew that existed so thanks.
I thought I was finally on the right track but it seems my phone is different from every other one.
I used HWOTA8 and it wants to install TWRP right away. I followed the video instructions and mimicked his movements exactly and when his reboots into TWRP mine does not.
UGH
Hello guys, i have bumped into a problem with my huawei mate 10 pro recently. Its my first huawei phone,i said ill give them a chance...where im from it was not that cheap, but the years have passed,no more warranty, and they obviously got cheaper.
when i bought it it came with its old version of Android,8.0(oreo). a build called .148 or something, which worked flawlessly(+ - minor issues to be adressed).
before update to 9.0 (which came VERY LATE for mate 10/pro) i had 15x something..which totally f**** my phone. and now 9.0 is even WORSE.
we are talking about Mate 10 Pro BLA-L29 C432 xxxxx europe.
phone does random restarts.
Allways on display not working anymore.
display touch sometime acts weird like its de-calibrated after wake-up
barely and totally randomly wakes up from sleep mode when unlocked, it does not matter if its Facial,Fingerprint or just by button with no security).
performance wise, it is acting flawlessly, plays games well,no issues, display has no dead pixels. after update 157,sh*t-storm began..and now pie 9.0 is 10 times worse, making phone wake up even more randly thowards never....
and hi-suite disabled or i cannot acces "switch to older versions" anymore.
and i saw Firmware Finder owning the first firmware my bla-l29 came with..and i would LOVE to roll-back to the first firmware.
i want to underline my phone is untouched,no tampering with,as it still had warranty on imei til 2020 but i lost papers.
any help would be apreciated.. my patient is getting very thin with Huawei backing away from support to use custom roms,or rollback to old FM`s...... starting to want back to samsung...

Earliest firmware you could downgrade to is C432B146. This is the first firmware where new bootloader was introduced.
You'd have to downgrade using dload packages from androidhost.ru, if you're not unlocked.
If you are unlocked you can downgrade using nocheck recovery.
I would downgrade to B158 first using dload, then go all the way to B146.
To use dload on a Mate 10 Pro you need a USB-C to USB-A OTG cable and a memory stick.
You didn't say, but have you tried a factory reset?

I want to go back to the furthest possible build, i have tried anything and everything possible...
the phone doesnt have unlocked bootloader.

PS, i have its original usb cable, but no otg for memstick..but i guess i can find one.
Hey guys, I've got a very weird problem with my phone which started just after I updated to MIUI 13.. It turns off by itself randomly.
It does it while browsing, texting, etc.. and even when locked. No matter if its charging or on battery. The only situation it doesn't turn off is when playing games, benchmarking or any other heavy task which is very weird as I thought the battery might be on its way out but it doesn't make sense if it works fine with heavy tasks...
The device is 3 months old but recently I replaced the display and the warranty is void now obviously, so I can't use that..
What I tried so far:
- Factory resetting, nothing changed
- Tried with the OEM safe mode, nothing changed
- I downloaded the same update again and flashed it throught the OEM recovery, nothing changed
- I'll try to make a clean install of the ROM when im able to unlock the bootloader which is of course after 7 days
Could it be a hardware issue and.. what it might be? The phone is working absolutely fine besides that random shut off - perfomance is the same, battery life is the same, no freezes ..nothing.
The other issue im experiencing and I've read alot about this is that my touch screen sometimes (rarely) is unresponsive. It just freezes, the phone is alright but I can't press on anything..
If it is software issue, how can I resolve it? Should I clean install the 13.0.4 rom or older?
edit.. i don't think it is actually shutting of but rather the display going black and unresponsive to any buttons as to restart it I must hold the power button more than 10 seconds
And also, I'm new to the forum, sorry if i posted this in the wrong section and excuse my bad english, I'm not a native speaker. Thank you
it's a firmware bug....do clean flash and pray it disappear..do fastboot clean flash

Thank you, I'll try when the bootloader is unlocked.. Meanwhile, I'm really worried about this being a result of the screen replacement? Could that be the issue? The screen works absolutely fine, keeps 90hz refresh rate, no glitches or artifacts.. Should I bring the phone back to the shop where I changed the display?
I confirmed that this is indeed a software bug. After factory reset, I kept the mobile data and wifi off so it can't update the apps and for 2 hours there were no signs of the problem UNTIL i turned the WiFi back on, the setup finished, updated the apps and my phone crashed in 10 mins. No idea which app causes this or why, but atleast its not hardware related. I'll try to reflash the 13.0.4 through OTA again and see if the problem persists.. If so, i wont have phone for the next 7 days because of the bootloader lock.. Thanks Xiaomi

flash with fastboot.. i think it's possible even locked..
Factory default and not restore apk, the problem could be any apk that did not work on miui 13.
Its not possible to flash with fastboot on locked bootloader. I tried several times it just refuses anything. I also couldn't manage to manually sideload OTA rom in recovery and I wouldn't risk it through the updater app because of the crashes..
I left my phone overnight with data turned off and it never crashed again.. I hope this get fixed after the clean flash because I really like MIUI13 and don't want to roll back
Same here. No any response from MIUI yet.

MIUI 13 Lockscreen Crash!
Hello guys, after I got my bootloader unlocked, i tried flashing several ROMs both china and EEA with MiFlash (clean all option) and it still crashes the phone randomly... I don't know what to do anymore. The only time phone can sit turned on without crashing is in fastboot and when booted but plugged in to computer (idk what is this about).. What should I do? I'll try to downgrade to 12.5 EEA stable with Mi Flash but is this clean install or should I do it with twrp?

Fastboot only
Im stuck in bootloop after downgrading to MIUI 12.5 EEA (the version i was on previously before miui13) via fastboot. The phone restarts after the boot logo and no matter which ROM i reflash it doesn't go beyond that.. Any advice? Tried factory resetting after flash but no result
Guys, no matter what I do, i cant bring the phone to life again. It reaches the MI logo, stays there for 10 seconds and screen goes black. I tried flashing EEA, Global, China, many versions all through fastboot. They flash with success, no errors at all but when rebooted it is stuck at the boot logo... Please help! I can still boot to stock recovery/twrp and fastboot. What can I do???
MiFlash log
I just tried the services of the telegram guy who does EDL flash over teamviewer. The flash finished with success but the same problem still persist and not only that, now It goes straight to fastboot without a chance to even boot in recovery...

Thats what I did, it never turned on until yesterday. A miracle happened and the phone booted but after 5 mins it crashed again... Wtf might be the problem with it. The only time it doesn't turn off is when its plugged to a computer with switched on debugging. I can't wrap my mind around it, are there any crash logs that I can read? Logcat doesn't show anything in help
please help me. after miui 13 ota update my phone is restarting every 10 seconds.
when it is in homescreen everything is here, but the message from android says update is finishing and automatically it restarts.it is stock rom,no bootloader open,
All original
i have data, that i want to save, but i cant. is there a way ? Maybe from recovery or fastboot or anywhere? But first i need to transfer the data to the laptop
I have the same problem, after doing anything that can make the phone hot if I block it it restarts but if I don't block it it continues to work fine so if you find a solution I would like you to tell me
I gave up on this phone already. Xiaomi quoted me with $250 for new motherboard. F*ck this phone and never buying this chinese crap again
