[Question] How to upgrade Sunvell T95m Android rom. - Android Stick & Console AMLogic based Computers

I've got a T95m, 1gb model running android 5.1.1. I've been looking all over the site but information on what software to use, how to get the device set up for upgrade, etc is scattered and disorganized.
My end goal is to use the little thing for Minecraft PE with a controller, which is impossible at the moment on 5.1.1, and the pointer capture api wasn't added I think until Android 8.0, so I can't use a mouse and keyboard without having to click and drag.
Anyone up for helping me figure out this thing? I know there's a lot of information here just getting it in order would be a blessing.
Its build number is :
LMY47V.20160720 test-keys
I can try to provide any extra information needed. I'm not unfamiliar with modifying android devices, flashing roms, etc, but this thing has me stumped.

rk3026 Custom Rom

Hi
Welcome to what im hoping will become a popular project amongst owners of Rockchip devices. Over at rkDroid we are aiming to create the first custom rom for the rk3026.
We really are starting at the bottom with this one as there is so little info available about these devices. The aim will be a 2 stage project :
Stage 1 : Cooked stock rom
Stage 2 : KitKat
We want to get as many people involved as we can. This means addressing ALL levels of skill. This is why there are 2 stages.
Stage 1 :The 'cooked rom' - This will be for beginners to contribute to. It could be themes, app suggestions, tweaks, etc. They all go into a custom rom and no one is better than another. Anyone can get involved, even if they dont have a Rockchip device. Icons, Themes, etc. They ALL count.
Stage 2 :'KitKat' - I have the source for the kernel and Android build for KK on the 3026. This means we can (in theory) build KK for it. Rockchip released a press release a few months ago saying the 3188 & 3026 WILL get KK. So far the 3026 has been lacking in this. rkDroid aims to bridge that gap and get a KK build out there for these devices. Im no pro when it comes to building Android or kernels. Ive done a few but im in no way a 'guru'. Im also not stupid. This stage of the project WILL require people with some knowledge of building Android, etc.
Overall, the aim of rkDroid is to bring Rockchip device users together to share info, solve problems, build roms, etc. Our site aims to be a popular resource for Rockchip tablets (No TV sticks or Mini PCs yet, sorry guys).
We dont only support the rk3026, We also have info/roms/etc for the other Rockchip devices like the rk3066, rk3188, etc. We will be aiming to create roms for these too once we get more support.
The bottom line is that if you own a Rockchip device and want to be involved in creating a custom rom for it then get involved with us. Whatever level you are at you can have an input in this project and we welcome everyone. n00b or bo$$, its all the same to us, There is a place for everyone at rkDroid.
Let us know if your interested in this project and lets see if we can beat Rockchip by getting our own KK build out before them
did this rom can change size storage sytem
in fact on rk3026 MD706B tablet 8GO/1Go

[noob questions] ROM/Kernel - building/porting

I’ll start by admiting that, in the arts of cooking/building/porting android innards, I’m closer to being a complete noob than na intermediate user.
I own a Newman K1S, JB 4.2.2, MT6592, 2Gb/16Gb, 720p, and, sadly for me, it looks like the manufacturer (Newman Mobile, or Newsmy, who knows) pretty much disavows any knowledge of this model ever being built or sold. No reference to it, no community, no android updates or ROM releases.
Taking into account some MediaTek source codes for KitKat were made available earlier this year (even if unofficially), I was wondering:
So, question number 1 – Is it possible to build android 4.4 for my device straight from said sources? Or are they unreliable and it would be best not to attempt it?
And question number 2 – Being at the noob level, should I stay away from such a task? And, in this case, would I be better off porting a 4.4 ROM from a similar spec’ed device?
Also, while browsing needrom, I noticed that a 4.4 “official” ROM was posted for my device. However, having flashed it, I found that it produces no sounds from the external speaker (although with headphones it works fine). Same thing was experienced by other users, and there is no fix so far.
Which takes me to question number 3 – What may I try, in order to fix an issue like this? Does KK use the same sound drivers as JB, and maybe it’s only a matter of replacing them? (if so, I believe this is within my grasp, even if I must unpack the IMG files to reach the drivers)
Lastly, Newman K1S has a severe overheating problem when pushed, which I believe would be easily solved by underclocking it to 1.3 or 1.5, or maybe implementing an optimized kernel.
Final question – How do I manage to underclock with my current kernel, or, better yet, how do I port a custom, optimized kernel to my device?
Congratulations to everyone who managed to read this far, and thank you in advance for any help provided. I’ve spent the last few days reading tutorials and guides, only to become even more confused… I did manage to get android kitchen running on my Windows laptop, though!
Links to recent/updated guides that might be useful are appreciated, too.

Console AMlogic based computer (TV BOX) with stock android.

Hello there,
I am looking for a Android TV box with vanilla stock android. Are there any available and for sale? I tried searching everywhere but could not find any. The reason I am looking for one is, because I am looking for a development machine and deployment machine for apps. The machine will have to work with different hardware (USB) and I will have to recompile the kernel and need to modify HID drivers anytime.
Most distributions on AMlogic devices make use of custom kernels and some modifications are just plain bad and half done, not to mention the half rooted quirkiness on some devices with modified rom versions.
So is there an TV Box like device available with clean vanilla android out of the box? I really hope someone could help me with my search.
Thanks in advance and really appreciate this community.

Root or Flash to Linux?

I have a few hundred of these android devices that are running Android 4.4.2. I have the Image file to flash it Via USB Burning tool however many Apps won't work on the device because of the lower Android Version. I was thinking of Flashing them to Linux and using them for something else. I can't find much information online about this device.
What I do know is that it has armeabi-v7a architecture with 4 cores and Amlogic Meson8B hardware
I can provide a link to the firmware if you want to take a look at what I have
I don't know if anyone can help and I am definitely stumped as to how to move forward on this. Thank you for taking the time to consider this message

Lenovo Tab 10 (TB-x103F) Custom Downgrade to KitKat?

Hello friends! I have been reading a few different forums and sources regarding roms, but I had a few question to which I cannot find any answers to. I hope you all may be able to help provide me with some information.
I have read numerous forums with people who want to flash newer versions of android on their devices, or even revert back to their stock rom, but what about a custom rom that is a lower android version than what the tablet stock was ? Is that even possible, provided you compile it with android's open source code?
I have 4 lenovo tab 10 tablets - they are all painfully slow, and always have been. It doesn't matter if you clear the cache, disable programs, factory data wipe and reset, etc.
I understand that the reason the tablets are so slow is the hardware that it comes with - especially the 1GB of ram limitation.
For this reason, I wish to be able to flash kitkat on the devices to improve performance. I don't mind if many playstore apps wont run on the device, I just wish to be able to use it to surf the web and read a few e-mails. And believe me or not, the tablets in their current state can barely do that!
Anyhow, if I was to get the source code for kitkat, would I need to somehow port over the drivers from the stock firmware, or would this not be possible because the stock firmware is lollipop? I am having difficulty understanding if the kernels are related to the operating system version or if they can be used with different operating systems. The same is true for the "drivers", which I believe I had read are binaries?
Any help you guys could provide I would appreciate greatly! I don't care about building or getting a custom rom that has all sorts of programs and icon packs, I just want a bare bones kitkat install with chrome and google play capability to download a few minimal apps.
Thank you all for your time and help, and I hope to hear back soon!
