Sorry, i dont think that Android tracks that. You could ask his mobile provider how long this IMEI was in use. But i dont think that they will tell you that, because of privacy.
Have a nice day.

Oh ok...and it is no possible check the battery also...
Correct?

Yeah, I'm 70% sure. But if someone could prove the opposite to me, that would be great.
One question: Why do you want to know exactly how long the smartphone was used? (I know it's interesting to know, but is there another reason?)
You could determine the current capacity of the battery and then estimate how long it was in use. This is a very inaccurate method... So modern smartphones are designed for about 1000 charge cycles. That's about 3 years if you charge your smartphone every day.
Anyway, you can use AkkuBattery to find out. But you have to run the app for a few days to find out the current capacity of the battery. You can then compare this with the actual capacity and tell if the phone is old or new. The aging depends on many factors, the method is very inaccurate.
Have a nice day.

Ok, thanks...
Just to understand if I bought the phone at Good price or not..nothing more.. I think it could be interesting..
So check the battery isn't a Good solution ..
Thanks

Samsung Infuse 4G 1750mAh battery will work on GSII?

Looking at the info:

I wonder if the battery will work on the GSII to give some extra power?
Bloody good question mate, I'd like to know this as well but I think we'll need to wait for a review or for someone to get the Infuse 4G to see what the battery looks like.

Hmm the phone dimensions might indicate a large battery in dimensions but that could also just as well be the phone itself being larger due to the .2" larger screen?
I've asked Android Community guys who done the side be side comparison, will let you know shortly.
How nice would that be if it would fit, The phones "physically" are similar. maybe when at&t gets the phone ill go rip the battery out like a mad man and try it in my sgs2

WOW how did you get such good battery use?
I get only 12 hours and its dead. Only texting and some email and some web browsing. I'm running everything stock and have background syncing enabled
I also am charging the phone with the cables from my atrix, if that makes a difference.
Thanks in advance
Damn, oh well worth a shot I guess

Well everyone has their own definition of "heavy usage".
Mine discharged in 3 hours of non-stop Tank Recon gaming yesterday (gave it to a group of kids), WiFI off, but all notifications on , like push for gmail, yahoo mail, talk, YIM, facebook, twitter, etc, and net-connected widgets updating.
Admittedly this was my second day with the phone, and the battery did not "optimize" itself yet, plus I did not tweak anything yet either.

Battery drain its a question of reading the varying fixes and or reasons why and trying them out .
The post regarding Android OS battery drain may help or not .

Yes, this phone has horrific battery drain. I recommend you take it out to the nearest field, strap it to a rocket, and shoot it into the stars as soon as possible.
Or, you can consider using the search button or follow the MANY links the nice gentleman posted above for you.

Lol maybe the battery will drain less in an area with very little gravity.
On a more serious note does anyone know of a list with apps that are safe
To freeze or even remove? I've been looking through the above posts for about an hour and can't find
Squat.
Edit : holy crap I need to open my eyes, its stickied at the top of the general section.

Yea I saw. See my edit. Feel silly now lol.
Just do a factory reset fixed all my problems and my phone came with KE7 installed I didn't upgrade to it.
Battery life went from 10 hours to a day and a half
after lot of tests, i discover that was the calendar sync. In idle mode my phone drain 5-7% per hours without 1% per hour.
After I uninstalled all the useless battery draining system apps, my system doesn't use alot.. like 2-5% , but my screen is getting 50-60% everytime!
I allready tryd different settings, but still, it attacks.
Do someone here have a friend with a SGS2 with good battery life !?
Try to change the battery for 1-2 days and see if its better or not, so we can know if its the battery thats need to be changed!!! report pls !

I doubt EVERYBODY that posts in these forums have a faulty battery. It MUST be software related. So many "faulty batteries" would be a great cause for concern.
from my understanding its 50% user and 50% the version of gingerbread were running.
Im coming from an atrix which has great battery life. A little bit of optimization which the great devs are doing is definitely helping.

for the time being yes. stick with official updates. then while you stick with official updates do your reading. take your time and read through out the threads. and when you feel confident enough to root then go ahead. but for now i suggest you stay stock.

i am coooollllll but anywhooooo i am just a noobie buddy....just common sense really kicks in when needed
i dont quite understand the ppl who buys android phones and doesnt modify it... i mean the only TRUE difference between iphone and sgs2 is powered by iphone iOS and Android.. which is open source... the other difference doesnt really matter much.. processor ( yea its more powerful but duuh.. there isnt much things to do that really require that much power) or the screen (duuh iphone has abit better screen so what? if u dont look closely u wont even see difference(atleast not me)) so yea if you gona buy sgs2 i RECOMMEND you to do alot of flashing and rooting and play with it around
WITH BACKUP of course... especially the EFS backup
It all depend how you use your phone. Sometimes I it for hours on end and go through 2-3 batteries a day (I have 3 spares).
Today I used it very little. About 7 phone calls, 2 messages and only about half an hour browsing / xda etc. Currently on 85% after 18 hours.
So usage makes a massive difference.

With that usage aslong as you charge each night you should be fine, my usage is similar and i go to bed with 20%
Ricey
do you think is there a need to change the Kernel version ? or just do the official update and it will be fine ?
Definitely stick to official updates. Regardless of what anyone might tell you, it's a fantastic phone running stock firmware. And if you're not confident about flashing custom roms/kernels (there's a small risk everytime you do it that things might go wrong/you might brick your phone), definitely stick to official firmware.
At the very least until you've done a lot of reading on here and are confident to try different roms/kernels. If things do go wrong, it might take you a few days of research on here to work out how to fix your phone (which means you won't have your phone working for that time), and at worst you'll have to return it to Samsung for repair. Which you'll probably end up paying for as running custom roms/kernels voids your warranty.
So slow and steady, stick with stock for a while and read. Then read some more. And when you're done doing that, read for another couple of months.

Sorry but got to disagree, yes its a great phone as stock but with custom ROM and kernels its an amazing phone. The devs here have done some amazing work. BUT (and its a big one) dont do a thing till you've researched your arse off, and you understand all the risks of what your doing.

(woohoo 400th post)
Latest stocks have been fine, even stock kernels have shown improved battery life. But with a custom rom/kernel combination your setting up a phone the way you like it with many ways of tweaking it.
If you do buy one, update to latest stock, try it out, if your not happy then root and enjoy.
My post was an attempt to persuade the OP to stick to stock should he purchase an SGS2. The last thing we need on here is yet another " Hlap mai fone broked !" post :-/ (and everything that goes with it).

My wifi and GPS are on 100% of the time. I never turn them off. Today, 23 hours since charge and about 2 hours screen time and battery on 69%. But 3g is off (2g only) and no email sync.
Yesterday, heavy usage and went through at least 2 batteries.
BTW, since I got the s2 I've only ever used cf root kernals. Nice and stable for me and the closest thing to stock. Others claim increased performance or have over clocking etc don't interest me. I believe the phone doesn't need them. Also using Checkrom. On the S1, well that was different.

[Q] Battery problem

Hello guys i have a problem with my battery. It drains so fast and i dont know the reason.I noticed that chrome is using about 40-50% of the battery while my screen does use 36% and apps like facebook, youtube etc. about 2-3%.Whats going on?Can i fix this problem or i have to buy a new battery with higher mAh.I also found that calibrating my battery might solve the problem but havent tried it yet so i give this a try and let you know.Let me know what you think.
Depends on how long you've had the battery ?
P.S - You can't 'calibrate' a S2 battery. It's impossible. Ignore the crap on here/elsewhere saying you can.
Extra P.S - Which S2 variant are we talking about - I9100 ? (Ignore what I'd said about double posting, your other thread in General is sufficiently different, though you'd probably get more help if it was in Accessories).

I have the battery since i bought the s2 which means about 3 years.
About the calibration i dont know if it works or not i just said i found it as a solution on a search i had.
Yes its I9100.You are right about the double posting but i am new here and i dont know exactly in which thread to post so i did post on both.
Let me know what you think.I am using the phone too much if that helps and maybe the battery has come to an end and needs replacement.
Nah it's all good about the other thread, you're asking where to buy batteries so that's cool
3 yrs eh ? Getting anything beyond 18 mths is pretty good assuming you're charging it at least a little once per day (if you're doing a full charge/discharge you'd get less than that), and even if you're not doing that (say charging only every 2nd day), two years is pushing it.
You've done well to get 3 yrs out of it. I mean, you could get BetterBatteryStats & see if there's wakelocks/whatever causing drain that you might be able to reduce, but everything you've said points to a simple case of the battery being on the way out, so a replacement is probably the go.

Last year i think i over charged the battery because i used the phone too much and the battery was always drained.Sometimes twice a day!
I think needs replacement too.I will try betterbatterystats just to check where the massive drain comes from.
Anyway thanks for responding and helping me in a kind way greets!

Bigger Battery

Im looking for a bigger battery to fit the G3. Anyone been able too source one that isn't bootleg? If not, anyone been able to source a replacement battery and battery charger cheap? Id prefer the bigger battery if there is one

Yeah I've seen them. Hoping someone here can tell me if its last longer then the stock battery. I don't care if it fails after 4-6mths st that price. I'll just cop another if it sctualy HAS longer OST
Don't think that there is any 3850mAh with same size as the original 3000, sounds like spoof.

Maybe true, if so does anyone have a way of sourcing a second battery?
I read some reviews of their other batteries and most said it felt like the stock battery. Oh well. No more or less screen or runtime. Why don't they just advertise that.
