Hello friends,
I have an issue when trying to connect PS4 controller to my phone. First, I would like to inform that I have seen a lot of youtube how-to videos and none of them work for me.
So, basically when I'm connecting my PS4 controller to my Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 device via bluetooth - both devices see eachother and they are connected - Andoird status is OK, PS4 controller LED diode is not flashing but shine with constant light. Seems that everything is OK, but pushing ANY button on controller does not do anything on the phone. No move, nothing shows on the phone, icons are not underlight, nothing.
So I have PS4 controller from basic PS4 version and I bought second controller V2, also I have bunch of cables:
mini usb male <-> mini usb male
mini usb male <-> normal usb female
mini usb male <-> normal usb male
and similar
I tried all possible combinations of cables with both controllers V1 and V2 (controllers works fine with PS4 console). I tried to connect both controllers via bluetooth and connections works but that's it, nothing happens.
I tried all these combinations on Android 8.1 Oreo and Android 9.0 Pie - both original, I have no root on my phone.
Nothing. Works.
(What's courious, PC mouse connected via USB to phone works perfectly - I can see mouse coursor etc.)
I have no more ideas what to do. Please, kindly ask you for help

Can I count on your help please?

I tried connecting a pendrive, a mouse and a keyboard through an OTG adapter and they all worked fine.
However, I couldn't get my wired xbox 360 controller to work. The device doesn't show any sign that it's trying to detect it.
I also tried connecting a usb SNES-ripoff controller that I had laying around and it actually worked right away, but half of the buttons on it wouldn't get registered on any emulator I tried.
Has anyone managed to properly connect a wired xbox controller to their Redmi Note 2?
i tried to connecting the wireless one (im not have the wired version), and tried this tutorial, and can't get it work. I think its because original kernel not support it, its lack of xpad.ko module.
and im sure the wired one can't work too, because there was not key layout for xbox controller in /system/usr/keylayout/. yeah we can copy it manual, but our kernel not support.
CMIIWsorry for bad english.
Hi all
With my Galaxy S6, when I connect my USB arcade stick via an OTG cable I can use it for everything (menu's, emulator's etc) - however with both my Z2 tablet and Z3, it powers the device (buttons are illuminated ones) but doesn't let me do anything with it!
Is this an Xperia specific thing that only allows a USB controller to be used on certain android games? If so, how do I get around this? Tried loads of USB control apps but nothing has worked... need this to work for an acrade project!
Cheers,
Good day guys. I've tried connecting my Ps4 and xbox1 controllers to the device via USB but nothing works. The Ps4 controller connects via Bluetooth after some trying, but still does not register inputs. Both devices run fine on the pc via the same USB cable.
Am I missing something?
Can anyone assist?
Edit: android version 7.1.2
I even tried opening the box and using the hidden ports. Still no controller response. Just lights up but no input whatsoever.
In for info. 2gb/16ram h96 pro plus android box
Hey guys,
So I recently bought a Hama USB hub, which connects to my phone with usb type c and its working fine with mouse and keyboard but not with a controller. I see the mouse cursor if I plug in, I can click on things etc... If I connect the controller it gets power but the games dont detect them. It only works with Steam Link which is weird. I tested it on 2 phone, Honor 10 and Mi Mix 2. I have a wireless xbox 360 controller and a wired Logitech F310. Please help, cant find a proper answer on google.
Well, I was trying to use OTG on this tablet, keyboard and mouse works great connecting via USB with a Type-C adapter.
But when connecting a Logitech controller it receives power (I can turn mode on/off and the light goes on/off) but the tablet doesn't recognize, for example when I go to the Stadia app nothing appears as connected, but on my OnePlus phones works fine.
I was searching and it may be a problems with permissions, is a root really necessary and is it even worth it? What do you think?
Hi Jota, did you ever figure out the Logitech and also does this model have otg video out to HDMI cable? Trying to confirm that feature before I buy it. many thanks!
