Hey guys I hope you are all well.
I still can't seem to figure out why I can't access my phone storage. Internal has been mounted within TWRP , but my files are not detected if I look under file manager. So the phone sees the internal storage, and shows the amount of storage, but can't move files into it. Any ideas of a fix?

Sorry for the bad quality pics. Taking with another phone. As you can see, phone sees the storage, but there are no files..I'm unable to copy or do anything. Only time I can copy files to the internal storage, is if I'm in TWRP.

Today I got prompted that my App Storage is full and I needed to delete some apps. I went into my storage and it says I have 4GB in OTHER. What is other? Is there anyway to get into the phone storage with a file manager?

"Other" I believe is reserved for Rom/system files....kinda for updates and such. I guess the best way I can think of describing is if your Rom was 3gb big it would be put in that partition....so it's controlled by phone/manufacturer unless someone has a way to shrink that partition down, but haven't seen anyone mess with it yet...I think all roms lately have had that 4gb-ish block taken up...hope that clarifies it a bit. So unfortunately it's space that you can't really use.

Are you getting messages, because on my phone there is also app storage available on the internal SD
some of the other has alot to do with http://androidsecuritytest.com/feat...orts-and-agents/upload-agents/google-checkin/ or at least that my understanding
I have rooted and unlocked my Transformer Prime and have an Internal 32GB Memory but i want now to transfear from Internal to External SD. In the past on my Smartphones there was a modifation of the etc/vold.fstab that made this working but i don't know what in the file i must change.
Can someone help with with this? I have not installed a custom firmware that is the stocked firmware only rooted.
The other way i hear many times is to use DirectoryBind, but i don't know how it works to run in the Android Settings that i can chose an app an move it to external sd.
I Hope you can help me with it.
Best Regards
Edit:
Here in this picture te Internal Storage i also want the same as External Storage (With Apps)

Why do you need to move apps to the sd card? Surly you cant have move than 27gb of apps? Are you thinking that using of the micro sdcard for apps will help relive the strain on the internal flash memory and speed things up?
Have you tried the native apps2sd method (settings, apps, all, select an app and then select move to sd) or link2sd?
this is not a help section
Hi, so after flashing ROM after ROM for months now, my internal storage space has gone down a lot. Out of 16GB, I only have three usable gigs after flashing a fresh ROM.

Does this look normal?
Regardless, I just want to find a way in CWM to wipe my internal storage clean, flash a new ROM from my extsd card, and start fresh with some more gigabytes. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Look for an option that says format data/media or similar. Your internal sdcard is just mapped to the data/media/0 folder.

It should be freed within a couple of time I guess. Also, a quick reboot sounds good.

No, i did restart my phone after that for 3 times, but it showed same... even clean master couldn't detect that...
Now i hav just factory resetted my sd card... I am fine now..:silly:
Get ES file explorer, go to storage/sdcard0/Android/obb and delete the folder "com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftA8HM" next time it happens. No need to factory reset
This is also applicable to people who have downloaded the game from Google Play but the game wouldn't install due to insufficient memory. Play doesn't delete the obb files if the installation is interrupted, so 1gb is wasted in internal memory. That will solve the problem.
Same goes for any big games too which took up invisible space on your storage but never got installed.
Hope everyone's safe out there...
I remember I used to transfer files just fine when in TWRP but now I can no longer do that and I don't know why. I've tried different versions of TWRP such as:
twrp-3.5.2_9-0-beryllium.img
twrp-3.3.0-0-beryllium.img
twrp-3.2.3-2-beryllium.img
no luck yet.
I've tried on Intel and Ryzen. The PC recognizes the phone is connected but it won't let me access the internal storage; in fact, the icon doesn't even appear on "This PC".

Here it gives me the option to "eject" the phone.
Here is the "device manager" showing there doesn't seem to be a problem with drivers. I installed "Qualcomm" drivers and also downloaded Mi Flash Tool and installed those as well.
I read somewhere that after I do a "Factory Data", I can transfer files again with no problem: Well, it wasn't my case.
I want to try to get this resolved since it is easier than transfering files though ADB. I was wondering if there's a known solution to this matter?
TIA!
You are encrypted.
You can transfer files using a spare phone and a SD card (a SD card won't cost a fortune)
