No logs, no detailed descriptions, no support. I've asked for someone to test the build on the DualSIM variant a few days ago. You were among those who answered but didn't provide any feedback. So i went ahead and released a version that is tested on the SingleSIM Variant and now there's 4 people complaining about DualSIM support?
less than 12 Hours of creating this thread I already regret touching Sony devices again...
Also, did you really have to quote all of the OP...?

It was 3 days ago and all you ask was how did it work regarding the dual sim, in your other thread, but with all do respect not to many are willing to or for that matter going to down grade to Android 8 , I guess that's the last version to test something that is a bit vague in detail.. so that alone pretty much kill your lack of feedback..
Now take a second and look at where most of your so called issues and questions are coming from ..our newer members due to many a lack of details on how to flash, which gapps to use ect.
which to be honest should be in the op but mainly their lack of experience and an allergic reaction to the search button..
Sony may have it's faults and nobody here twisted your are to release the rom but your lack of information is more than likely the reason for half ass answers and or problems.

Your post is an in depth explanation of what is wrong with the Sony community. The OP design is the exact same used on ALL CarbonROM XDA Threads, yet the Xperia XZ Premium and XZ1 community are the ONLY people complaining about it. Surely this is a me issue. Perfectly outlined by your assumption that the builds I released were Oreo. Heck, I even attached a picture of the XZ1 and XZP running those VERY builds I linked that said Android 9. I'm not obliged to do anything. I release those builds because it's a fun hobby. Constantly spoon feeding people because they refuse to do their research is not on that list.
There is no such thing as "which gapps to use". Ever. On any device. Go to any stupid GApps website and download the GApps that match YOUR taste. If you need advice on arm vs arm64 and which android version then you're wrong in this forum.
less than 24 hours into the thread creation and I consider closing it again. Thats gotta be a new high.

Check out https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-take-logs-in-android/.
Though, you could've found that with a Google search. First link when looking for "xda get logs".
Also can you check which device name is shown in Settings? G8341 or G8342?

Pictures.. where as there aren't any posted on the but the logo for the rom on the lab app.. I personally haven't look at the rom on other various devices but have glanced at it here, as you said and posted the format is the same simple copy and paste, no screenshots, no flashing instructions no mention of a bug list if there are any.. so maybe the format may need a tweak or two for us slow xz1 and xz premium folks..and if the lack of info in the op causes a few questions to be asked ..then feel to take you ball and go home..

Yah I believe lack of info cause some issues. Like if you came from lineage 16 dsds and have the dsds twrp you can't flash this rom. You need to flash the single sim xz1twrp in the lineage16 thread.

It's not only this one, but in my case I run a stock rom with existenz patch, with one twrp, then to flash beetle84 ( excuse the spelling) add on, I need the aroma trwp version , then to flash j4nn's kernel you need to flash the DS twrp.. but that's another story.. but the only.point I was trying to get across lack of info in the op , your going to get questions...

Screenshots can be found on our website on this thing called Gallery. Cool huh?
Theres no buglist because theres no need for any. Our official builds have to pass fairly strong criteria before going official and are tested on the devices before going official. I never announced or claimed the Dual SIM variant would be supported.
As for flash instructions I expect users to be capable enough to use Google and do their research. If they are unable to do that, they shouldn't bother messing with Custom ROMs to begin with.
Literally the first Google result for the query "flash Android ROM" is a detailed guide from XDA which would work just fine.
However, thanks for pointing out yet again how fitting your username is. Seeing you're not interested in using Carbon nor are using it right now I'd kindly ask you to refrain from further posts in this thread.
Thanks.

Here's a random thought. What if a zip that doesn't install on the Dual SIM TWRP with an error saying its for the Single SIM variant, is actually for the Single SIM variant?
My offer still stands. I'm willing to look into Dual SIM support of someone with a Dual SIM device volunteers testing. Until then and from now on I'm either going to ignore each and every complaint about the Dual SIM support or value it with some kind of sarcastic reply depending on how I feel.
I spent countless hours working on these devices in my own free time using my own Money to pay for PC Hardware and other expenses. Yet, instead of some kind of appreciation, even if its just the simplest "thank you" post, I get people like @lilbrat *****ing at me for not spoon-feeding people with results from Google queries or worse. Too sad the Sony community hasn't changed in the last two years.
Thankfully, due to multiple reasons, the XZ1 and XZP were my last Sony phones ever, with the community being one of the biggest factors. Shame how the old Sony community turned into this.
I knew I should've left the phones in that dusty corner on my desk instead of putting any time into it.

Thanks so much for your efforts and remember you are here in xda to develop and help each other and others not to debate or criticize or show muscles. thanks again and i think carbon rom is one if the best so don't close the thread and keep up the good work

woop, nvmd, didn't read the server stuff.
I didn't wanted to try this out as I knew KK builds are not feature-full... Or were, because this one seems to have more features than JB versions. I will download it and install it in the next minutes. I was wondering... May I help you with some new screenshots because the ones from "Screenshots" sections are pretty old, also being from 4.3 .

One issue I have noticed with the latest 4.4 Carbon builds I've tried (CARBON-KK-NIGHTLY-20140204-0011-d2dcm.zip - EUR and CARBON-KK-NIGHTLY-20140209-0004-d2dcm.zip - EUR) is with Skype. When I make a video call, the other person can't see my video feed. I've tried switching the camera to front and back camera but had no luck. Go back to 4.3 and it works fine.
Just a minor issue but thought I'd report it.

I was having the same issue saying it may be synching last night.
Had to downgrade from the one on February 11th as the phone wouldn't sleep with it installed. Was starting awake all the time. Hopefully sorted it with this latest version.
If not, apart from the Skype video problem it doesn't seem to have any problems I've found.

[5.1.1] [Alpha 7][SS][DS] Unofficial CyanogenMod 12.1 by ProjectMarshmallow

Before to start flashing
This is an UNOFFICIAL version of CM12.1, so this means that have bugs that i hope to fix soon. So use it carefully at your own risk. The most important thing to say, after flash this ROM,is ....
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
Installation Guideline
Install the lastest version of TWRP (it's in uploading state and have an important update in fstab file)
Power down your phone and go in recovery mode.
Copy the ROM file in your sdcard
Make a wipe data/factory reset
Install the zip you copied
Wipe cache
Reboot
What works
First Boot
Audio
RIL
SDCARD
Tethering
LEDS
Touchpad now works
Bluetooth (partial: pairing not works)
Some else i'm testing
Light and proximity sensors, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Magnetic sensors
What not works
Camera
GPS
NFC
SMS
Anything else i will find and fix

Thanks for the rom, but where is the download? All I see is the download page for TWRP
Still uploading. I will advice you when finishs. Anyway its a testing ROM...not for daily use.
Does this has any problem with battery draining more than the stock rom? because this problem existed in my old ? z1 and i can't find anything related to the camera, so am asking if is it working? and any chance of porting z4 camera framework so we can use superior auto in this rom? Thanks in advance
I think is a bit premature make these kind of discussions now. When i'll make this rome stable (now it's a test build, have some reboot problems probaby lrelated to thermanager config) we can face more problems. But don't worry, any problem/idea will be faced at right time.
Awesome! Thank for your work!
Thanks for excellent work! Hope some major bugs could be fixed asap [emoji481]

And This is Android M or Android LP???
CyanogenMod 12 is based on android 5.x so that means this rom is lollipop
I'm waiting for the upload because the rom boot loops for a thermanager problem. Anyway i have fixed also sensors. I'm not able at this moment to offer more infos because rom boot loops. When i fix the thermanager config and rom will be stable i could be more detailed. I'm sure that RIL and 3g connection works. Wifi powers on but not reveal available Wi-Fi but i think is a configuration problem too.
Let me work guys, we are so close
Great news. Thanks God for You.Good Luck and we will wait for results

If you can force enable adb and upload the rom I'm sure that we can send you logcats to find the problems. Also, could you upload the new TWRP that is mentioned in the OP?
@tonystark88
Hi, under GPL v2 license you are required to link a copy of the kernel you used, otherwise, would be in violation of the license. Thank you.
I have taken a look at your source, would it be possible if u rebuild it with Sony's Unified Kernel? Thanks!

I'm not violating anything, i'm not reselling or forcing someone else. I don't understand all this pressure, you have all the informations you want now, you saw my sources. The kernel is the same published from sonyxperiadev. I have to fork it to my page to be in rule with GPLv2? I don't think, i think is useless.
If you want that i publish my sources (already unstable) on the first page, i don't see the problem, i will do it.
Also, i see this discussion only a waste of time that i subtract to my work.

It's not out of nothing, cos ur sources must be able to build. You changed one of the defconfigs to cyanogenmod_blablabla so you have to fork and make the changes on ur end as well. Hope u understand

It's the temp .config file generated when u build the kernel. I renamed it and used because differently from the asp defconfig is formatted well.

I see no problem here especially since Sony hasn't exactly released the kernel code. There is no reason to be so distrustful. Heck he hasn't even released the rom yet so what are you complaining about. Please don't take offense. He is just trying to further this community

Supports developers, do not lock their work
I don't understand this mentality of 'Let the dev work and do his thing' and saying that he should be given space to himself to work and build CM12 for The M4 Aqua. As it stands, you all don't know what Open Source Means. The M4 Aqua is in a state where much dev work is needed and all you guys do is hamper the speed at which developers can build ROMs for you. Without Kernel Source code and all LOCAL modifications uploaded, other devs can't jump in and help out to build for the M4 Aqua. I work mainly in the Xperia SP Forums and when the Xperia SP got released, it barely had any source code given by SONY but now we're at CM13. CM13!!!! From a 2012 device to 2015 we have gotten CM13 while YOUR M4 Aqua is stuck at even building CM12! All the Xperia SP had going for it is the AMAZING DEV support with SO MUCH OPEN SOURCE CODE that we all learnt to share. We keep the credits individual to commits and we all gave credits which were due in every rom we built.
If I can't build the ROM with what you say uses the original sony kernel source code, then this ROM is violating GPL code. I will be back soon to test the results and see if it does indeed build and churns out the exact bugs reported. If you are unable to handle even a small request that Boylush has said and say that you're already stressed out due to ONE MEASLY request then there seems to be something wrong.
Those of you who have absolutely no developer experience I would advise you to refrain from trying to defend your individual parties and let this be easily settled by simple building on my end.
I don't like these kinds of reasoning about me and about my work only because in two months other people aren't been able to boot nothing, also a recovery. This is the last time i will respond to you because this is a DEV topic, and here will be DEV things.

I repeat this thing again, all my sources are public. Just see the first page of this topic. And also, all sources are open on sonyxperiadev and are a intellectual property of Sony. All the LOCAL modifications are on my github page, in the commit area. Just click and see.

And i'm happy for the Sony XPERIA SP, this means people work together. In the case of Sony M4 Aqua i just saw topics that bumps out after i started to develop, also if only the recovery, for this device. No one sent me a message for say, "Tony let's work together".

I'm not stressed, i feel great thanks And again no one ROM violates the GPL license. Simply because there isn't yet on the site and will not be until will complete boot correctly. And about the request, i responded yet. I have to repeat that i used the same kernel published by sonyxperiadev site WITHOUT MODIFICATIONS ?

Probably in the ROMS world this sentence is true. But i'm a graduated ICT Engeneer and i worked in past in Android. Maybe i know a little bit of devel things, and i say "a little bit" because i know i can do it, and i not let you and others to offend me without know who i am.
CONCLUSION
Without me, the unexperienced, this device today has a working recovery and i hope for ALL THIS COMMUNITY a working CM12.1 . And i repeat again this thing: THE SOURCES ARE PUBLIC ON MY GITHUB AND ON THE SONYXPERIADEV GITHUB. I'm not blocking the work of anyone and i will be happy if someone else will make the rom work better and efficiently than mine. I will learn where i failed from the other devs commits, like i always did.
I hope is more clear my point of view now to avoid future noisy discussions.

2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ

I'm still using carbon rom on my nexus 5. I'm so happy to see this on Marlin. Can't wait to flash!
I just get "No SIM-Card". Did somebody else tried this ROM?
I haven't tried this rom yet, but thank you so much!!! We had 3 roms drop in less than 24 hours so it will take me a day or two to test.

Hi Nice,
I have been getting that on different roms after flashing, I usually reboot to recovery again, factory reset quickly in twrp, and then reflash the rom, flash twrp again, then from twrp reboot to recovery again, then once you're back in recovery reboot to the system or rom. Hope this helps.
Where are the installation instructions? FAQ section on carbon website is not working. Thanks
I had no clue carbon was about to drop for the pixel xl. This has always been my favorite rom ever. Appreciate the CARBON MARLIN LOVE!

Restoring from factory image now latest google stock then ill retry.
And before anyone goes on a rant, yes this ROM is free i realize that just saving you some trouble.
Right now its not fully functional in my case ymmv.

Ok, lets see.
I experienced some trouble with the vendor blobs I was using in the past, I made a build overnight with different vendorblob setup, maybe you could test it.
It also includes GApps, as these still have trouble on the Pixel devices. We (the Carbon team) don't want to release builds with included GApps for various reasons, so I will release unofficial builds with included GApps until the GApps issues are solved.
The unofficial builds with GApps can be found here:
https://dl.myself5.de/marlin/CarbonROM/
The TWPR thing is caused by the Recovery setup itself. Recovery is built into the Kernel. This means you need to flash the TWRP installer zip again after flashing a ROM.
@Myself5
Dl in progress. Will test it for you shortly
Flashing in progress
Booting. Didn't saw this animation for a long time
Flashed like this
Rom and twrp
Reboot to twrp
Flashed vendor V
Reboot system
Reboot recovery
Flashed latest su
Reboot system
All fine.
TB is running
Flashed MVK kernel and all fine
Fantastic release for a comeback
Will leave it on for tomorrow to test normal daily usage. So I could say something about battery and overall feeling.

May I ask what the mvk kernel is?
It's the kernel from the velocity dev. Not on xda. He left xda about 4 years ago.
So one normal day in use and I must say it's damn nice. Battery is fantastic.
All works as it should. Bluetooth, Wlan, mobile etc.
Not one bug comes through my way Fantastic job.
Thx again.

Thanks, I love this.
I had my pc broken quite amount of time and i could not work on some roms that i was testing. I was planning to upload CarbonROM Kit Kat for our device, but unfortunately i see a lack of users activity for this device which makes me think that maybe it is not very relevant to create and upload the builds (which takes much more time than what it seems, and my time for this activities is quite limited).
If i see more interest for this then i could upload the rom, and maybe future ones.

Though the bug are not solved yet, I will probably open a thread for the rom this weekend so people interested like you can install it, test it or keep it on his tablet without mind the current bugs.
I will keep you informed
The CarbonROM KK is ready for testing purpouses, i need testers. @emmanuelix , @Apexaddicted , @PinkOstrich or anyone who owns the LTE variant who would like to test it, please send me a PM.
PD: sorry for the delay about this, i was quite short of time and also had to port it again because i realized i lost all the ROMs when i formated my hard drive disk.

Don't worry, i will open the thread and people with the WiFi variant will be able to download it. I want people with the LTE one to test it because i own the WiFi Varian as well.
Also a reminder for everyone:
Keep in mind that the rom still has some few critical bugs which you may not be happy to flash the rom. The main bugs are:
-Camera not working
-Notification led not working
-Weird bug with the Play Store which does not allow to use it unless, on my experience, you wait for about 1 day to be able to use it.

Thank you @mustang_ssc. I only own the Wi-Fi version also, sorry !
I have finally posted the ROM (CarbonROM). As mentioned it has not been tested on the LTE variant, but it should work properly as the Wi-Fi one.

You have the link for the rom on the previous post.
Alright, have good and bad news, let's start with the good one:
I have a completely working 5.1.1 Android ROM (EMUI 3.1) from the T1-A23L which works on the LTE and Wi-Fi variants (T1-A21L & T1_A21W), big thanks to @tenderVeteran who sent me this ROM and informed me about it. This means we finally have Lollipop for our device and we have the possibility to port another Lollipop ones.
The bad new is that i need to make it flashable but for some reason it does not boot. I need some more time to figure out about a solution on this topic and i will publish it as soon as i get it booting.
Glad to hear about the progress! Cant wait to try it out. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
Additionally...Ive been looking for ways to compile a custom kernel for the mediapad. Have you tried this yet?

Support:
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Join our Discord server! There, you can connect with other Carbon users and our developers, and you can get quicker responses to your bug reports. The invite link is right below.
We recommend MindTheGApps. OpenGApps should work, but please make sure you clearly mention the gapps you're using when reporting bugs.
BUGS:
Some of the guys have been using Carbon Oreo for weeks now, and They've faced no issues. If you face any issues, please report them in as much detail as possible, preferably with a logcat and/or instructions to reproduce it.

Sorry for the Thread Looks, as I am not able to find any XDA template, and also a noob at making threads ;_;
1. Is this official or unofficial?
2. It's better to put the fact that it is for arm64 only in the thread somewhere, just to avoid confusion.
Great ROM, thanks for porting it to treble GSI.

Love it, I'm currently on havoc right now on my p20 pro and I'm definitely going to give this a try today. I've searched a bit but seems there isn't much info (at least from my searching) on how to handle the notch but I'll keep digging and if I find it I'll be sure to post results!
Thanks for the great work
Cant make it boot on v30 joan
it cant boot on moto g6 plus, stuck boot animation
OP, are you combining both A-only and ab in one file? If so, please name your files as such. It's a bit confusing
Anyone with OP6 running this GSI? Im unable to get it too boot...
*edit*
It stays on the "Android" Animation and it stays there, wont boot. And I fastboot flashed....
Although some users reported that could use Treble LOS 15.1 in Motorola Z2 Force, I've followed the rules to flash CarbonROM and got a bootloop into TWRP (both wiping or formatting data). I'll post later if I can manage it. If anybody has a hint to get it working, please, post. Thanks.
how i would be go for flashing ? just flash img without wipping ?
can i treblize my phone with new method and TWRP by galactic stryder, and for vendor partiotion, may i use, vendor rom revengeos_treble_vendor_x2_12082018 and for ROM may i use carbon rom gsi, currently i am on carbon rom by chityanj
