Hi all,*
First post here. Had a quick question for those that have a Huawei phone (Mate 20 Pro or P30 Pro) - did you have any luck doing a full framed ultra wide angle video?
What I mean by that is, if you compare how much fits into a photo at 0.6x zoom, vs how much fits into a video at 0.6x zoom, you'll notice* a large difference.
I've tried Open Camera, but no luck getting it to even zoom out (and yes, I've tried the "switch camera" button).
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Say "cheese", then rate this thread to express how photos taken with the Realme X2 Pro come out. A higher rating indicates that photos offer rich color (without over-saturating), sharp detail (with all subjects in-focus), and appropriate exposure (with even lighting).
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Here are a few quick pics, I think for the price point, the Realme X2 Pro does very well indeed .......:good:
what about nightshots or darker rooms.
Took this
I am not impressed with the 64mp landscape pictures. There is too much blurring and washout of tree branches and grasses.
Is there any way to collect the 64mp raw files?
What do yo think about the ultra wide lens?
Do you like the photos that it produces?

That's great and what about the night shots?

I think the stock camera does great of work
i did this picture yesterday
I had Mate 20 Pro before X2 Pro and I have to say that Mate takes better pictures for sure. Especially zoom and night mode is better. But the X2 Pro is snapping photo instantly no waiting like in Mate which sometimes take some time to process a photo. Another thing is that X2 Pro has way better video quality. Thanks to 4K 60FPS. I really like the smooth transitions between main and telescope lens when zooming. There is some stuttering in Mate 20 Pro when zooming (switching lenses). Overall very happy. I would take better video recording for a slightly worse photo-taking any day.
Compared against iPhone XR and photos looked way better in the x2 most of the time. Telephoto is on par with iphone X. Haven't compared wide angle lense against recent device but photos look OK, definitely better than on my old LG G5.
The noise reduction on stock camera is too aggresive. If we would be able to turn it off, the performance would be similar to gcam.
Few shots I took..
take it with Realme x2 pro this morning. best regards
Does Realme X2 pro supports Portrait mode on non human objects?

Thank you so much for confirming my beliefs
Fantastic Pics, Crorion. Just goes to show that it is the man not the device that clicks the pics. So much has been said about the camera quality on the x2 and I just ordered one. I was a little apprehensive. But you really made me happy. Thanks.

Does the X2 pro have the ability for Raw
Hello there, this is dedicated to all my photographers and videographers of LG G8x.
First things first, no matter what how many times you complaint them the problem is not fixable through software updates because front camera have fixed focus.
So i think there is no other option than this.
Case 1: (Professional phone photographers)
Guys if you are carrying a 35mm or 50mm then mount it to the front camera and zooming 1.5x is the solution for shooting 4:3 aspect ratios and only 1.2x zoom for 9:16 or higher aspect ratios.
+ Get lot of blur or shallow depth of field.
+ Can use Canon or Nikon lenses to achieve high end quality. Plus features if your lens have OIS, UV protection etc.
- Weight is a problem.
- Zooming 1.5x makes photo to loose its quality a little bit (especially in nights).
Case 2: (Cheap solution)
This is an inexpensive solution, get yourself a wide angle lens for under 200 rupees for indians and under 2 US dollars.
Buy that 3 in one lens and use the wide angle and zoom 1.2x for 4:3 aspect ratio and 1.1x for 9:16 or higher aspect ratios.
+ Very Cheap
+ Light Weight
+ Less zoom means lesser quality reduction
- No quality lenses are used, little bit lesser color reproduction.
Buy anywhere online by typing 3 in 1 lenses for phone.
Hope this would help you out, if helps don't say thanks but help me find a solution to record 1080p 240 fps video with zooming (stock camera doesn't allow zooming in that setting)
Filmic pro is not working for slow motion .
Moment pro camera doesn't work for slow motion.
Google Camera doesn't record slow motion.
Suggest me a way to do this.
Thank you for all the patience.

Why you need to zoom ? Just take video at 240fps then crop, you will archive same quality because there is no optical zoom in our device, it only uses digital zoom even in photo mode (i gave you solution) ,give a thumb up
Did you like the video quality ?? Do u think our phone beat the midrange smartphones??
Thank you for the suggestion but while cropping as you told, the cornors of the video will have too much distortion which can be resolved by digital zooming a little bit.
And the answer to your question is, This LG G8x beats all the midrange smartphones and i have seen results better than iphone 11 (believe me).
It also beats OneplusĀ“s all flagships with its Camera capabilities.
Its DXOmark Score is 99, the highest score for a smartphone is 130.

did you posted 2 time about the fix on xda i thought, replay didnt saved and replayed again in your another xda thread:laugh:
can it beat oneplus 7 pro in tearms of camer perfomance ?
Easily beats Oneplus 7 pro in both photo and video modes.
Comparatively Oneplus always makes it pictures over saturated which is ugly i feel. But LG G8x prefers natural tone for skin, good HDR and coming to indoor photography G8x is a killer. Very least noise with the 12Mp sensor and never use that Ultra Wide angle 13Mp in low light or indoor (Too much Noise)

why you actualy need to zoom ,just crope the video after recording done ,using a video editor.
our device didn't have an optical zoom even in photo mode if we zoom 8x it just uses its digital zoom.
you just click a pic at 8x and same pic at 1x then you crop the 1x pic to 8x then compare 8x pic vs croped pic. result will be same:fingers-crossed:
give me a like, i gave you a solution with best explanation
I appreciate your idea but actually thing is when you film it with no zoom and crop it later, same results i agree. But you won't get the flexibility of knowing what exactly you ate shooting, you can't see the full sized video as a reference while shooting.
1) You barely see the depth.
2) Hard to manage White balance and Exposure.
I do need some other working apps that would support this phone zooming while filming at 1080p 240fps.
Tried many of the popular apps
Google Camera, Filmic Pro, Moment pro camera, Proshot, Hedge camera 2, (MiUi 11 Camera, Oneplus Camera- Stock).

Hi, Xiaomi Mi 11 lite 5g does not come with Optical Image Stabilization, I thought its not big deal when buying it, but most of my photos have blurry details because of my "shaking" hands.
Is there any workaround to stabilize photo image (similarly like video option "Steady Video")?
What to say about a nice simple tripod.
Many pros use a tripod for top photography with their smartphone ... and what works for pros certainly works for laymen.
Hi there ! I acquired this beautiful Sony Xperia IV smartphone to take photos and video films. I also bought an anamorphic lens from Sirui to have a cinematic rendering. When I use Cinema Pro, I realize that we film in 21:9 on the 3 lenses. When I put the anamorphic lens on the 16mm (ultra wide angle) the edges on the sides are cropped by the anamorphic lens, which is not the case on the other 2 (24mm and 85-125mm). I ask myself the question of the usefulness of such an anamorphic lens in addition, if not to have this effect of light beam that I could only have on 2 lenses out of 3... What do you think? Have you ever tested such lenses with this phone? Cordially.
Personally I think Cinema Pro is garbage because it restricts filming to a 21:9 crop of a 4:3 sensor. I've been experimenting with MotionCam and it's much better (raw 4k video at 24fps / 30fps).
