I don't know if this is the right area but here it goes.
The area where the software buttons are located are not being affected by Twilight anymore. I don't know if the problem is with Twilight per se or something else, but I do know the problem appeared right after I tried using Muzei, I was messing around with it, seemed like a good app but I was enjoying the wallpaper I was previously using, but when I went back to it this glitch appeared, I'll link a screenshot of the phone that better illustrates it.

On the lock screen it seems to work without problems:

I know it's a minor bug but it's one of those little things that can be very annoying.
I've already tried clearing the data both from Twilight and Muzei, and removing and re-installing them, did not work.
I don't know if it matters but I messed around with the blur and dim settings on Muzei that first time I used it, although since clearing the data and re-installing it they are back to default. Also, the problem persists with other wallpapers, even with the Muzei ones.
Also, using a Motorola Moto G with KitKat, not rooted and stock rom and launcher.
Anyone ?
I really wish I wouldn't have to make a factory reset just because of this but it's really annoying.
Twilight has never covered the software buttons for me on my Moto G. I switched to EasyEyes and it seems to work fine, the brightness of the buttons doesn't seem to change but at least it doesn't look nearly as wrong anymore.
I've had the same thing appear today. Bar at bottom of screen with software buttons undimmed by twilight. No new apps installed & not using Muzei. Phone is Oneplus 2.
Hey XDA,
The past 3 days, my touchscreen is seeming to get stuck in certain spots (to the point where I cannot slide screen left/right or up/down)
Also, the soft keys (Back, Home & Recent Apps) become unresponsive also.
I've tried cleaning the screen multiple times (mostly with lens cleaner) I even tried Windex - but it only works when it wants to.
I went to Settings - Developer Options - Show Touches... just to see where the screen is getting held up, and sometimes it shows a white dot where it seems to get stuck, and cleaning the screen only helps 25% of the time.
I have _never_ had this problem, does anyone have this issue? (or something similar?)
I'm rooted, and if installing the new touchscreen drivers will help lemme know (and provide some links please)
Thanks in advance! - zmag

seems like a hardware issue..I'd take it to sprint and see what they can do.

I have the following problem with my LG G5 (official latest EU ROM).
When I touch and swipe to scroll or move the screen, the scroll will just start after I have moved the finger about 0.5-1cm (when moved normal or slowly).
After this trigger point, holding the finger and move up/down, the scroll is instantly and works normal.
Lifting the finger and do a new touch swipe results in the problem again.
This actually happens in mostly all apps and on the home screen (Nova launcher), and I have the feeling it is even worse in the Google Play store.
The weird thing is, it does not happen in the android settings menu / list.
Can someone please tell if it happens on their phone too. Is there maybe a way to fix it?
I have tested it on an Android 4 and Android 5 tablet too, and there it is the same, so it seems to be a global Android problem.
bump
I don't have that problem on my G5 or on my tablet that still runs on Jellybean, and the S4 I had until last year didn't have it either.
So no, I wouldn't say it's a global Android problem
Sounds to me like your problem has to do with using Nova Launcher.
Have you tried uninstalling it and seeing if the issue persists?
I have two G5s (one mine, one wife), both stock and no added bells and whistles. Pretty different profiles, very different users. Neither phone lags at all.
You may have an accessibility option turned on?
Am I the only?
I own the Honor 10 64GB Blue from Europe/Italy.
I'm using the honor 10 for something like a month, and I've always had a strange issue with the soft navigation buttons, basically sometimes, not always, whenever I tap the back button, or the multitasking button, it is registered two times, and it is a lot frustrating.
Enabling the hardware vibration feedback, I can tell that is an hardware or software issue because it is too precise. So it is not like my finger slipped and tapped two times.
And I'm not the guy who is installing tons of bloatware apps, (I even deleted half of the preinstalled apps), i just have like facebook, instagram, messenger telegram and whatsapp installed. So maybe not a CPU issue.
So basically what I did was going back to the store, asked for a replacement, and after a week I got a brand new phone, and the same problem happened! So previously I got a Xiaomi Mi5 and never had an issue.
My use behavior consists to do things really fast. But I don't know that has something to do with that, I'm doing the same things I've did with other phones, I owned a Nexus 5 and 5x which also had soft navigation buttons and never had such issue in the past.
I don't know what to do honestly, since no one is having issues with their phone, I've just disabled the vibration feedback for the keyboard maybe is screwing the touch screen (????) I will test it anyway.
And I'm charging the phone with regular USB instead of the fast charge, obviously I've did a lot of hard resets. Now I'm trying to charge it only with the huawei charger
Latest firmware obv. I'm thinking of returning the phone again to get my money back. What a shame, it's a pretty good phone aside from that.
So here is a video attachment showing the exact problem, i just had to tap for something like a minute or two, I've did an hard reset yesterday, only Whatsapp, facebook and telegram are installed, no noticeable CPU load, juts mobile data on
Just look at the very first seconds of the video.
Can't check the video now, but this sounds exactly like the problem I've been having with my Honor 10. In ddition to this sometimes the letter a is not registered. I was going to get my digitizer replaced under warranty, but now I'm not sure if I should. I had this issue from day one.
Similar problem with the touch
It seams related to yours issue my problem. Completely random if I'm on 1 app it minimize, vibrating and the phone go to the home page. Even if I'm in the drawer but not in the home page it turn to the home page.
Is like I've touched the fingerprint sensor, even if I did not. Left at the honor/huawei repair center, back after 3 weeks they did a software upgrade. Now it happens rarely, but still happens.
You guys use some kind of glas screen protector? I had one for some time and had also issues like yours. Some letters werent recognized and also sometimes homescreen button got triggered.
Right now i m using a normal screen protector and all problems are gone.
Same issue here, since day one...
No Screen protector, tried to switch the back Button to the right - but it still exists
Same problem with Honor 9 lite
Using fluid navigation to deal with it , it's less annoying that way , i am Trying to find a workaround for this as well , if anyone know how to fix it.
Let us know in comment ?
Hi, I am too facing similar type of issue with my honor view 20. Please let me know if anyone has got the reason behind it. Thanks.
I never use the on screen button navigation on Honor 10. I was using the fingerprint sensor navigation, and now I'm using Fluid NG.
I don't think my digitizer is broken, since I don't have any issue.
Its all good and smooth.
I just got an Honor 10 Lite this week - I've got a different problem with the navigation buttons.
It's an intermittent problem but I'm sometimes pressing the back or home button half a dozen times before it actually goes home or goes back.
If there's a back button at the top left etc., it will immediately go back.
Enabled haptic feedback and the touch is definitely detected and when you touch the navigation button the screen indicated an circular patch where you touched but the problem remains.
Also tried using gestures, same thing....
Huawei customer service recommends a factory reset, anybody else have this problem?
Well I got a replacement phone, blue this time, instead of black.
For the first couple of days it appeared to be very responsive to touching the navigation buttons but now I'm getting the same requirement to do multiple taps!
i have been experiencing touch failure on bottom screen just above navigation buttons like a straight row in my moto g5 plus. which makes me like unable to give a space between when i'm texting. But sometimes it works for a couple of seconds and goes off. And sometimes the whole screen become unresponsive too and then i have to lock the phone and open again one to three times to make i work. currently it is running on pixel experience+ A10 rom. Is this issue occur because of i installed a custom rom. somewhere i saw that pixel experience have some touch failure issues like the users have to lock the phone and open it again just as i do. if it is a software prob maybe i can solve it by flashing the stock rom again . i'm a complete noob i need some serious help!
