Hey guys, recently I got my Reno 10x zoom. (Chinese version) I want to connect it with my TV. But unfortunately, my type c to hdmi adapter wasn't working with it. This adapter is working with my iPad pro, honor v20, Galaxy Note 9, Sony Vaio . But when I plug Reno 10x in, there is no response from TV.( I turned on the org function in the phone and switched the USB function to midi. ) guys do you have any idea which hdmi cable / adapter does it supports? Did anyone succeeded ?

There's some option in setting-> other wireless -> multi screen..... I haven't tried it out but it seems relevant
Hey guys, I have a good news. After my testing process. My Reno 10x zoom is working fine with this USB type c hub (I will give the link below). Everything can be shown on your external display with the connection of a hdmi cable. There is no setting need to be done on the phone, just one plug in and enjoy. Reno 10x zoom does not have any desktop mode like Samsung. The desktop mode can be done by third party apk (like Leena Desktop UI (Multiwindow), you can install it on Google Play) . Got a new MHL to HDMI adapter, I have a galaxy S4 phone and a galaxy note 10.1 2014 tablet. Works with both of them. I was able to get an HDMI output to project the tablet image on my TV. The next step will be to watch a movie on my TV screen that is sourced from my tablet and phone.
Then i tested it with my brother's tab pro 10.1, and it also works awesome. Chose to get this over the Samsung OEM one. So far I am very pleased.
Good to know but exactly how many of your posts are plugs for your website?
so will this mirror the screen or does it only work with viewing movies and pictures?
Does anybody know of any other affordable adapters that will work on a Tab Pro 8.4?

This works with the 8.4 pro w or w/o external power. I had to trim plastic shroud around micro USB plug so it would insert deep enough to make contacts. Mine may have just been a defective example. It was an easy fix.
This one requires a standard m/m HDMI cable (not supplied). The one in post 1 requires a MHL to micro USB cable. (Supplied ? see correction.) The cable needs to be long enough so you can sit with your tablet and reach the TV.
Correction: The one in #1 does come with two cables. A USBmale to microUSBmale (for power) and a Micro USB Male to Male MHL Cable. (The later wasn't included in the pictures unless that what's in the black sleave box). How long is the Micro USB Male to Male MHL Cable? The length isn't listed on WOWparts.
Another correction 4Apr14: The Cable Matters MHL 2.0 to HDMI works fine without external power. Since you can set brightness of the tablet to minimum, you can easily get 4 hours on a charged 8.4 pro, maybe more. If you connect 5v power to the MHL 2.0, the tablet reports it is charging, but in fact, it is not. This is pretty strange. On my Galaxy 7.7 connected to a Samsung HDMI adapter, external 5v is required for the HDMI to work and it also charges the tablet.

after I read this ordered 2 1 for me (Tab Pro 8.4) and 1 for my friend ( Note 3 ) works great can watch a movie on the monitor ( using my PC monitor for this) while still being able to use other apps ( as long as you use the sammy vid player doesn't work that way with 3rd party vid players)
And to clear out some: If you don't know, better not say it,
The kit comes with all you need the "converter" is the small extra mini-usb piece labeled SIII => which by the way I noticed is extra long before I even used it, I figured bad quality control maybe? but no, it happened to my friend that length is actually needed to make contact with the MHL pins i'm guessing at this point since I read that Firedog91902 had to trim his for it to reach further in.
But yes it works great and comes with all you need!, The HDMI plug, USB Cable and the USB 5 pin to 11 pin converter all you need to supply( which you already have) is the charger or another USB cable for it to draw the needed juice.
They way I set it up in 3 steps
HDMI adapter/unit plugged to my monitor ( has 2 HDMI sockets )
Took and extra mini Usb charging cable from and old HTC for power and plugged into a USB 2.0 powered hub.
And last but not least Used provided USB cable with the little dongle converter to plug to the unit/HDMI adapter and my Tab 8.4 and tadaa works great!!

Both and not only that, if you use the stock Video player you can watch the movie on the TV while still browse and use the TabPRO for other stuff, just press home and the movie keeps playing and now you can chat or what ever else with the tab while watching the movie.

I have Huawei Mate 20 pro and one of the reasons to buy this was the desktop mode.
I have an old HP monitor that has 3 ports (DVI, VGA and display port). So I bought 3 things. USB c to HDMI dock. HDMI Cable and HDMI to DVI Converter. I plugged all these in and my monitor is not picking any signals.
I think that the USB c to HDMI dock might be faulty so i ordered a new one but would it be better if i just get the USB c to DVI cable ? I wont be able to charge the phone but atleast it would work.
Can anyone advise ? I just want to use the Desktop mode on my old monitor with mouse, keyboard and charging.
I have a choetech usb-c to hdmi adapter that works perfectly for the mate 20 pro. I cannot advise how other bits will work.

I have a Startech adapter from USB-C to DVI, HDMI, VGA or miniDP and just tested out, everything works fine.
Maybe the resolution of your monitor is not supported?

For those who want to use their smartphone through HDMI, I am using a targus adapter, there are many brands but it must be "DisplayLink" certified.
It works great and lag-free in general use but apparently runs at 30FPS in games.
I bought the used ACA40US targus model for 6 dollars on eBay because it was the most compact and cheap I found, but it needs a USB-to-USB-C adapter, I use a usb-c hub that I had from a previous smartphone and so I can charge while use.
In summary, to use the HDMI output on the realme x2 pro, you only need a certified "DisplayLink" adapter, a USB to USB-C adapter and the display link App, and activate the USB OTG option.
Optionally you can also use the App "SecondScreen - better screen mirroring" from the play store, to change the resolution and choose the best setting for your TV.
Some Targus already bring the adapter to USB-C or are directly for use with USB-C, but they were more expensive.

I bought an Xtorm USB-C to HDMI cable model CX2111 but I wasn't aware it need to be a DisplayLink certified cable. I searched a lot of the cable but cant find any related info if its certified DisplayLink.
I installed the DisplayLink app that you suggest, also the SecondScreen app and no signal, and I have a doubt.. you rooted you Realme X2 Pro?
I'm asking because I dont have signal on my TV or Monitor from Realme X2 Pro with Xtorm CX2111 cable.

I use cheap mhl bypass cable and cheap capture card and its working for realme x2 pro. I can live streaming pubg mobile to streamlabs

I have no idea what the required specifications are, but I can tell you I bought the silver one from here on eBay and can confirm it works if that's any help.

Mine works well with my not 20 ultra, but with my Tab 6 it does not. So i guess some brands and models just doesn't work well with it.
I have samsung tab s6 and have a dell usb-c monitor and the tab s6 cannot send video to it.
My oppo phone works fine.
I will try hdmi and usb-c cable when I get chance.

Bump.. @si3wc4 did you get it working? Anyone else?
Tested with a USB-C mini-dock, the Mi 11 lite 5G/NE doesn't have DP-alt mode, so it's not compatible with Type-C to HDMI cables/dock. The main reason for it is probably the lack of USB 3.1 (the connector is just USB 2.0).
Yes, that's one thing many people don't realize, a USB Type C connector is a guarantee of nothing.
The same thing goes for USB Type C cables.
If in doubt cut the cable with scissors and see how many conductors (pairs) it has. Of course this kills the cable.
If device is USB 2.0 the most video connectivity it might have would be to use an actual video adapter, but that is a separate frame buffer than the screen.
Unrelated: I use a Raspberry Pi Zero W connected over Bluetooth to my Android.
The RPi has an HDMI output I can use for my own digital signage style application.
The HDMI shows text and is completely unrelated to my Android's screen.
