My Motorola camera from the back of my phone (where is the blitz) has been phisically broken. Is there a way to disable one camera and run with only one?

Hey, guys. I have had my SG2 for a couple of days. Loving it. I firmly believe it's the best phone out there and I have zero issues with the phone. It's as close to being perfect as a smartphone can get.
One question: When I launch the camera, I have noticed that the flash is off by default. I always have to turn it back to auto. Is this by design? The camera app doesn't seem to remember my settings and I never notice that the flash is off until after I take a picture. Is there any way to get it to stay on "auto" by default?
Thanks!
it should be remembering the settings, Mine does. It stays on auto at all times and never switches on its own
I think I just realized what's going on. I use the front-facing camera (which disables flash) and when I switch back to the rear-facing camera, flash stays off. I imagine that with multitasking, this will occur any time you go back into the camera app after you have used the front-facing camera. Yeah, I'm an idiot.
So yeah, the phone is perfect.
Is there anyway to override the fact that almost all the features and settings of the camera get disabled when you switch to the rear camera? Like, I want to be able to use the Cartoon mode or something when I'm using the front camera, but there's no way through stock. Would third party be the only way then?
Is there anyway to disable the mirror effect on the front facing camera? I can't find anything in the settings like I did with my EVO. If there isn't any way to turn it off, is there a good alternative camera app that doesn't have the mirror effect?
Title says it. I don't use my stock camera. I started using Googles camera which is lacking in features but it does take better photos than the stock camera does. At least before any filtering, etc. So without me using the stock camera. My camera hardware key/button/short cut is basically a dead button and its like a pet pieve for me. I don't have to use the Google camera but I really want to remap this camera button where its used to open another camera app. What options do I have? Seems with the few things I've experimented with only let me change the camera button for an action and not a application launch.
Thanks
Josh
Has anyone gotten this to work? Whenever I take a picture, it ends up being black. Google Camera and Camera FV-5 both are slow to fire, usually a few seconds compared to the stock camera. Has anyone see this or know a workaround?
Yep, I have the exact same problem. I suspect it is because there is 2 rear cameras instead of one. However, you can use the front camera and lens blur will work, although it is not very practical...
If only we could have the source code of google camera...

I really want this lens blue too.
I can't figure it out but sometimes it does work.. mostly not. About 1 out of 5 photos makes it, the rest are black. I can't figure out why some work and some don't..
Haven't hit the issue?using Camera nx though (basically ported Google camera for 6p and 5x on 7.0)
