Hello,
It will be very useful to add the anti lost feature like on Mi Band 2 (without using alarm option which drain phone battery).
You may answer "it does not have hardware support for such feature".
But of course that it is possible by firmware ! , as far as today when the Mi band 4 looses the connection, it displays a"Bluetooth" icon. You (skilled developer) have just to use this icon to trig a message and vibration, by adding this in Mi Band 4 custom Firmware:
IF Bluetooth icon displayed during "x" seconds THEN
vibrate;
display " connection lost"
End IF
Is there anyone who can do that on a custom frimaware ?
You might have more luck on geekdoing.com forum, they provide custom firmwares for Mi Band 2 and 3. Though there seem to be no custom firmware for MB4 as of now (and maybe never will).
no but maybe you can do it with Tasker. I'm waiting for my MB4 to be delivered and I'll try as soon I'll get it.

Hi everyone, I'm starting to think that Xiaomi wanted to be like that...I'm using 9.6.22.0 MIUI...
...and my F1 doesn't accept as smart unlock device nothing else than Xiaomi devices (tried mi band 2 it's working), impossible to be recognized handfree devices (tried 2) or bt adapter (tried 3). In all this the funny thing is that Google app recognise and normally permit to add as smart unlock any bt device, but then, no way F1 bt smartlock app, simply don't "see" anything except Xiaomi device
I saw that MIUI in the past has this sad feature....and that it was something about commercial Xiaomi choice.
By the way does someone have the same pb ?
If yes, how did you solve it ?
Thx in advance !
I'm having the same exact problem. My F1 doesn't give me the opportunity to unlock with any bluetooth device. I go to "Unlock with Bluetooth Device" and walk through all steps, and it never "sees" any services to allow me to do this. Very annoying - I like unlocking it automatically when in the car.
Same thing here. It worked fine once, before I reflashed 10.2.2 PEJMIXM. My car stereo is added to smart lock but I still need to enter the pin. No sign of my car device under Unlock with bluetooth device. THis is quite sad, as I remember having similar issues on Miui 8 (Smart Lock wasn´t even implemented). I thought that by now Xiaomi would have addressed the issue. I was hoping not to have to flash a custom rom...
till developers support this beast and it is able to run any game on playstore at med - high graphics.
Hi there,
as i can see there will be the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 Global Version with NFC and the Xiaomi Amazfit X has also NFC included, but it should be not aviable outside China.
" the NFC feature will not be activated for oversea users even for later batches due to its complications upon verifications. "
Is there a way to activate it anyway?
The NFC hardware is in the watch, so whats the reason why its not possible to use?
Hello,
I have a Mi 11 Lite 5G and a Mi Watch and no notifications, or sometimes, and do not understand why.
Are you with the same issue ?

Hi,
I also have the same issue. I have a mi Band 4 and have issues with the notifications. After about 5-7 days, the bands permission to access the notifications is reset on it's own to no access. When I try to enable it, it is already set to allow. I have to revoke and grant permission again for it to work.
Had no issues with the Poco F1 and the same band for more than a year.
After tinkering right now, I got to this screen and I am doing it all. Just checked, but on the Poco, only auto start was enabled. Will see in a few days if this resolves the issue
Hi.
Just an update. For me, the above settings solved the notification issues. Now everything works as it should.
In the meantime I installed a notification patch from a different thread so maybe it helped too...
Here's also that file and a link to that thread
Issue with notifications after the 12.5.1 update
Since the last MIUI update I am experiencing an issue with notification. When using a video player (like Plex, VLC, YouTube Vanced), I usually see a notification icon when using background playback. This is now gone. Also, and this is the main...

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows if just the 5G version has GPS or also the Wifi Version of the Mi Pad 5 Pro? Somehow I am not finding any clear information about that. Some sites have it listed with GPS and som some say only the 5G version has actually GPS...
Yeah the 5G vversion only. It seems it's there..I just couldn't activate it somehow on my device or a bad gps signal here. =/

Could you post a print here of gps fix ? Mine is completely crazy. If I delete the cache in Google services it shows the right location for about 30 seconds then completely changes to the middle of the ocean.
Tried manu things but the problem persists
So I kind of find the problem. The gps is inverting the south coordinate and reporting it as north. No idea how to fix this

Nice, thx for the info. Then I can get a Wifi only model for 420€
Yes . 420 is ok.
Yes, the Mi Pad 5 pro has GPS - i've tested it.
Hello,
since I purchased my Redmi Note 10 (which came with MIUI Global 13.0.7, Android 12) I experienced some bluetooth issues which I hadn't with my previous phone (Redmi Note 7 with Android 10).
E.g.: I'm wearing a device (Dexcom G6) which sends every 5 minutes my blood glucose value to my phone via bluetooth; if I'm away for a while, the device doesn't reconnect automatically but asks for pairing again... and until I confirm I don't get new values. This could happen several times per day.
I've read a lot of people complaining about this behaviour (that seems related to Android 12); several workaround are suggested but nothing really solved the problem. I can provide more details if needed
Btw, the connection with Miband 6 is unstable too.
These issues are quite annoying and, as I said, I didn't experience them with my previous phone, so I'm wondering if switching to a custom rom can help me on this!
Hello,
Changing ROM can help, if the problem is software and related to MIUI for example.
As a last resort, I think it doesn't cost anything to try custom ROM, it is always possible to go back to the initial MIUI, if necessary.
It would be interesting to list the attempts you have already made to avoid making unnecessary suggestions.
If you haven't already done so, I'm thinking in particular of disabling battery optimization for the application used with Bluetooth.

Thanks for your reply!
Bascially, there are several apps well known in the diabetics community that can be used to read values from the device: xDrip+, Dexcom etc.
They all worked flawlessy on my old phone but with the Redmi Note 10:
- xDrip+ disconnects for 20 minutes after each reading (it should be 5)
- Dexcom asks for BT pairing now and then, sometimes even when I'm near my phone
Of course I disabled battery optimization.
These issues have been reported by users since Android 12 and not only on Redmi phones...
I tried to follow some suggestions:
- disable BT battery optimization: this was possible on Redmi Note 7 but I can't find such option on my Redmi Note 10;
- use apps like "Blue Car Tethering" that force BT tethering with paired devices; this improves the situation but doesn't solve it (with Dexcom I get fewer BT pairing requests, and with xDrip+ I get readings every 10 minutes);
- on "developer options": change "ACRCP Bluetooth" and "MAP Bluetooth" versions, but it didn't work even trying all possible combinations.
I'm experiencing problems with my Miband 6 too, that sometimes disconnects from its app; this didn't happen on my previos phone but it could be related to some bugs with the app itself.
My feeling is that, generally speaking, BT is more unstable.
Important: there are also users claiming not having issues with Android 12 at all, so maybe they are related to some manifacturer customizations; that's why I'm wondering if using a custom rom can help.
Sorry if I was too long but I tried to give more details.
