Note
Uncompress the downloaded zip and inside the folder, you'll see a file called: logo_mi9t_xxxx.img
Installation (CMD / Terminal)
Reboot to Bootloader / Fastboot
Connect your device to your computer
Open CMD / Terminal
Type: fastboot flash logo logo_mi9t_xxxx.img
Reboot
Installation (if your TWRP version let you)
Reboot to TWRP
Go to Install -> install image
Select logo_mi9t_xxxx.img
Check Logo partition and slide to confirm
Reboot

To make your own custom Logo
Inside the uncompressed folder, you'll see 4 images pic1.bmp, pic2.bmp, pic3.bmp, pic4.bmp; and 1 file mi9t_logo.py
Replace the images with yours
Open CMD / Terminal
type: python mi9t_logo.py
Flash the generated mi9t_logo.img

But how can we do it ourselves? I'm not quite sure, is there any picture or video narration?
To make your own custom Logo

You replace the picture you want to change with yours and name it as the already to be replaced. then you run the script and the image is created which you can flash

Made a generator available in the browser:
https://krzys.github.io/K20/index.html
If you don't select some image it'll use stock image.
Don't use images larger than 1080x2340.
Supported files: PNG, JPG, BMP, GIF (non-animated), HDR, PSD, TGA, PIC, PGM, PPM.
Edit: should even work on mobile phones... and runs faster than before
