I dont think that can be done because of the different bands that are used.
The number on the back is the one you get. Its hardware related so it has to be done by someone with allot of skill and than it is still the question if it will work.
I think you can't

All honor 5x variants have same hardware .
U need to flash the modem files in order to change region .
After flashing rom , flash cust.img , system.img and boot.img of the same region variant .
( I have my moto G and I did the same on it to change to GPe and even to US and other variants ) .
Give a try if u are skilled and make enough research first .
Was this successful ? Any update ?
I'm planning to flash my KIW-L23 to KIW-L24 as all bands in it were supported by KIW-L24.
No firmware is available to KIW-L23. So I need to change.
i've got a honor 5x KIW-TH00L and current reside in Nigeria where network carriers operate at B1(2100) UMTS but it ain't support on my device. what can i do to enable or add a frequency band ?

On other honor models, it involved changing oeminfo file.. but for 5x, it's risky i read.
Chances of bricking as per other members. One guy tried n lost his IMEI it seems (on 4pda.ru)

there's a lot of info here.. including going back from B360 to 350

Yes. Changing that partition should only be done automatically by the stock updater.

There's a tool made by funky huawei that could rebrand phone with locked bootloader, but you need to pay and it's expensive

I got back my STF-AL10 from Service, because I bricked it.
Now it has been delivered with Firmware STF-AL10 8.0.0.350 (C00Patch01).
I want to rebrand to L09-Firmware.
Can somebody re-upload the tool from Google-drive or has somebody an idea how to downgrade in a safe way?
Thanks @ all.
I recently picked up a Chinese variant (STF-AL10) Honor 9 and wen through the process of unlocking the bootloader, rooting and re-branding to the European variant (STF-L09). All good. Was able to flash the latest ROM (STF-L09C432B378) using HURUpdater. All good except the 2 capacitive keys not working. Saw that there was a potential fix with an updated Kernel for build 366. So.... I tried flashing STF-L09C432B366 with HURUpdater. The flash appeared to be successful (no error messages except for the a couple that are expected apparently). But the phone was dead right after I tried rebooting from TWRP. Absolutely none of the reboot button combinations work.
Has anyone experienced this before? The seller is promising to fix or replace the phone so I've sent it back. But I'm still interested in finding out what went wrong. Are there any pitfalls when downgrading -- I only went from 378 to 366. My impression was that HURUpdater was fairly reliable. I'm wondering if the the B666 ROM was corrupted. I'm still surprised that I ended up with a hard-bricked phone.
Thanks.

Hello, for me happend quite the same thing, I tried to downgrade my original STF-L09 from b378 to b368 with HURUpdater and right after rebooting from TWRP, where I chose reboot to recovery, the phone died. Because it is in warranty I sent it to service last week. So I'm looking forward to what they'll say to me
Regards.
You can not lower the firmware version if your firmware is gt Turbo
Your phone will fall into the state of usb ser
You can restore it but it costs money
I reconstructed my phone from this brick myself

What was the first firmware with gt Turbo? b377? Previously I successfully downgrade from b376 to b368.
btw your post is very useful!
Yeah, that explains a lot. What's been the best fix so far for the capacitive buttons problem? The one route I've seen is flashing the kernel file in fastboot mode from one of the patched builds (366, etc.) Any other ways that work?

My phone came back from service center after bricking it during downgrading from b378 to b368 with changed motherboard. So unlocking the bootloader via HCU client was needed. Unlocking succeeded, so now I'm going to flash new treble ROMs.

Hello, i want to change my phone's vendor(country) from china to middle east, where can i get the update.app file which does it for me?(if it still works like that, i remmember that i installed an update.app file a while back on my honor 6 that changed it's country info from normal to meaf, does honor 10 even work the same way?)
to be more specific i want to change my phone's firmware from china(COL-AL10) to middle east(COL-L29) i know that there is a guide here which shows that but i was wondering if having the vendor file makes the rom changing easier or not

i have another question, if i change my vendor to somewhere like middle east or europe, can i install global rom(COL-L29) without unlocking my bootloader and custom recovery? will there be any risk of bricking?

Unless your bootloader is unlocked you can do nothing. Else you can try with service center or funkyhuawei which is paid service.
Hi friends, I would like to debrand my phone, is it possible?
If there is a guide to follow, would you tell me?
Thanks

So far rebranding your kirin980 would require access to softwares which are quite expansives.

It's not just software but you also need purchased hardware.
i also have LYA-L09 branded H3G-IT but i did a soft rebrand in the past with funkyhuawei first and dload method then.
With update 10.1.0.288 (c432 made with regular hisuite, no proxy, no ota or everything else) safetynet is now broken (never had problems before).
I have dload package for 9.1.0.300 (c781) and also 9.1.0.346 (c781). If i flash one of this and then update, would i go back to stock branded firmware or something will definitely break?
