I have HTC Touch Pro US Cellular CDMA phone. In boot loader it displays "Security Unlocked". does this mean I can use with different CDMA carrier ?

Above article mentions "Security Unlocked" in same sense.
When I try ##775 to update PRL it asks for "enter unlock code". does it mean that US Cellular has locked it ? If its locked then what should I enter here ? SPC, MSL what ? If its unlocked then what should I enter here ?
do I have use special software to unlock cdma phone or from ebay vendors I can buy SPC and that all I need as unlock code ? is SPC same as MSL ?
What does "handset locked" mean ? When I manually configure phone using dial codes for different CDMA carrier will I loose features like SMS, Internet ? what is minimum information needed to feed in ? is it carrier decided or standard ?
What is meant by unlocked and how do I verify it on my phone.

Is there a way for me to check if this phone is unlocked? When I flashed the recovery kdz file, it no longer showed virgin mobile as the service provider, instead showing just LG. Does this mean my phone is unlocked? If not, how would I go about unlocking it? I want to use a tracfone SIM card on it.

So the issue I am having is I am currently working on a stock LG k7 (MetroPCS carrier) ms330 and the device has a preinstalled device unlocker application (which I cannot use). I need to unlock this device to TMobile Network aa that is my carrier. I have read possibly I can flash the TMobile k7 .kdz using LGUp and then this device will reboot into TMobiles network; bypassing the preinstalled device unlocker. Am I understanding this correctly? I do have this k7 rooted and the OEM is set to unlock. I just want to verify I am doing this correctly and this will work before I make the attempt. Any help is appreciated thanks in advance.

I am trying to unlock MetroPCS LG stylo 4. I got a trusted sheet to have it unlocked, I have used him many times in past to unlock MetroPCS phones. The app is complaining. When trying to unlock with error message " Device not recognized by provider. Please call customer care" . Little but of research Saturday this is very common with LG phones and someone recommended to do " Nand flashing using ODIN" , any guide in flashing this phone will help.

Is TracFone LG Stylo 4 Unlocked because my doesnt have APP nor does it ask for Unlock code when I insert a different sim card. I tried Verizon sim, T-Mobile sim and Europe Sim
When I put Verizon I can get to the APN but when I put Tmobile and Europe sim it tell me Invalid sim

My device doesnt ask for unlock code to unlock, All it says is, when poered on is :Using d unlock App to unlock your device,if eligible, , And i used the app but no luck ,cos am not eligible
How else can i unlock that?
Odin is for flashing Samsung phones only, I smell kaka.

Please post a picture of your bootloader unlocked. I've been reading and reading and thinking of buying this device but only if it can be bootloader unlocked and rooted.

Sim unlock is not the same as bootloader unlock.
Metro requires 180 consecutive service days to allow you to sim unlock with their Device Unlock App
As of today, no one has unlocked the bootloader on a LG stylo 4
Dear Devs I have LG G8x Locked to Sprint. Is there any way I can unlock the Sim Network Lock? I am not able to find the menu where we can enter sim unlock code. If someone is willing i can pay for sim unlock.
