Hi,
I am a new user of XDA developers and wanted to root/install a custom stable ROM on my device without any bugs.
I have researched a lot on this website for a stable ROM without any bugs but not able to find any thread so kindly provide me the link for the same.

Just look at the development thread man. Don't just ask for the stable rom link. By the way one of the stable custom rom is the that we have for grand 2 is cm12.1..
S3 neo port rom for grand is 100% stable rom

That's because you did'nt look throughtly bro..Well for your info this is the only website to get custom ROM and not anywhere else. Just so you know there must be a small bug in every ROM even for stable & stock ROM. So next time don't expect for a stable ROM with no bugs and ask for it. Just look at the development thread man & that's my advice.
You dont even like stock firmware (assuming of that since you want to install custom rom), so why expecting perfection from custom roms?

Because stock firmware have perfection i.e no bugs..... n if there r issues in any custom ROM like front cam not working, SIM 2 not detecting etc (as I checked in the threads) den why should anyone install these ROMs...
I hope u got my point bro....
Please try S5-S6 style H6 Eition[4.4.4]. Its the best with little or no bug. Its whats i am currently using now. everything works perfectly

hi all its been while since I joined 5x family on xda but stil I am waiting for single volte rom I feel emui is not so much gud for daily use.. its my humble request to all the devs plz port or make any rom with volte working that wud be very nice

Devs are trying to bring it, so keep an eye on development section, there are no guarantees that it will come soon or ever, so stay patient.

The problem is the software that supports VoLTE will not Boot TWRP so it's a catch 22

I am on stock marshmallow b370 which supports volte plus twrp recovery and it is fully functional

There are lot of custom ROMS for redmi note 3 now which have now volte enabled. How come?

well, honor 5x is not redmi note 3..
redmi note 3 has good developers (kernel developers), in our community, devs are still learning, there are skilled developers like baddaemon and crpalmer who are busy in maintaining lineage 14.1 and there is another dev, yuweng , he has to make a comeback.. devs got some personal life too.. we gotta respect it and accept what we have right now and we have to be thankfull for them

What can I do to install a custom rom. I'm glad to give up VoLTE for it.

Flash an AOSP ROM, the "ARM64-7.1-stock" Open GApps zip, and then install a modded camera app from the mods section of this subforum.
You will get an equal experience, only better.

Mi 5x is the same device, the ROM was not ported, it can be flashed on either models.
At the end you'll have the same experience with an AOSP based ROM on Redmi Note 4.

Not really, Mi A1 and Mi 5x have different device codenames and partitions. You can't just directly flash ROMs between them.
Flashing Mi A1 ROM on Mi 5x using miflash tool will result in "The system in damaged.", check it on MIUI Forums.
That's why devs ported and modified the Mi A1 ROM, for it to work on Mi 5x.

If you really want the stock Android experience on your device (mido), you should try AOSP Extended v4.5, it is based in AOSP and already in Nougat. With added features and customizations too.
I also want a port of that rom, it feels more original than the other aosp roms and my remote works perfectly.
Not everyone can use the custom roms. I have tried em all but my banking app will not work on any of them even with magisk.
So I would like a stock rom that works with banking personally. I will buy an A1 when it drops in price.
Previously I used moto g 1st gen and a developer ported a marshmallow rom from some other moto device, trust me guys no custom rom is as stable as the ported marshmallow rom... That is the reason I asked this question.

Mmm sort of I agree to this since when I had my OPO the Oxygen OS port from Oneplus X was one of the smoother roms out there with no bugs (almost).
Waiting for Complete Stock Android 7.x.x rom for Redmi Note 4...

yes dev ported moto g2 rom for g1(2013), it really worked perfect. i agree with you

But it will always be better to have an official MIUI rom
would you guys say that the camera quality is almost the same as stock?
Mi a1 has a dual camera setup. One does not simply port cameras between phones

Haha.. I started this thread, so I know what this thread is about. Believe me dude no one in XDA is as ignorant as you to believe that porting rom increase their camera quality. Coming to your previous post.. do you even know what porting a camera means?? I think you don't, let me explain. It means porting the camera app so that it works on other devices which by the way is already done.

Porting the camera is an ironic comment, but now I see how you didn't get it in first place.
To be serious, nevertheless, porting the camera app from a different TYPE of camera, will not make our camera equal. For crying out loud. There are hundreds of camera apps out there and some might work better than the stock app anyway. The reason I would like to see a port of a1 for note4 is the Android one updates that are supposed to happen on time contrary to the xiaomi ones.
Dr. Ketan build a ROM for our devices , I flashed and been using it for a while , everything is working fine , no bugs that I can tell for now , is fast , smooth and have tons of mods and customization available to play with !

N976B means N10+ 5G then look into n10+ development forum, there is already rom there
ROM is tested for N970F and it's working fine. Soon it will be available on my rom on N10+ development thread

I was really hopeless to get a custom rom , because all the love is for the N10+ as is more attractive for devs in many ways . I wished the N10 had all those extra features , size was my only issue with the N10+

It was expecting, I have already told you, I don't expecting major issue. Questions was only time. I have made this rom in just 2-3 hrs only and bcoz of time limit and I do not own device , I couldn't test. I dont prefer to make rom for which I don't own, just made this bcoz you requested. Only what I don't prefer is to public release without testing myself and that holding me releasing rom for other devices.
Anyway glad you have a rom now.

I wondered how long it would be before someone posts something like this.
You can clearly see it's being worked on from the rom section with a lineage ROM so be patient. They will arrive if and when ready.

Yes, I see the lineage rom testing in rom section and I'm still waiting and many thanks to developers.
