Bypass server request on app - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone.
Around February of this year I purchased four cameras on amazon to create an alarm system.
The rooms are all from the DIGOO DG-UFC model.
The cameras are connected to the wifi network by pairing with the app (U-CAM) free and regularly present on the Appstore.
The problem arises from the fact that the app to configure the camera, before connects to a server , then be viewed by the app itself.
Unfortunately the server has been closed (as you can see from the comments of the app buyers) and the app does not allow to pass to the next step (cam configuration)
Since I switched to fiber I have changed the modem and therefore I have to reconfigure the rooms and to do so I absolutely have to switch to the app in question.
I only need the app for that, as I use the rtsp protocol for viewing.
The configuration is made by bluetooth, but only through the app.
I tried to connect directly to the camera with my smartphone ( appears QiwoIPC on bluetooth list) , but i don't know pairing code.

I have the same scenario with the Bosma Thinkcam, but I haven't been able to find the pairing code.

Bluetooth Auto Connect App

Hello, i use bluetooth for tethering my Prime with my Desire HD because it consumes less battery than using WIFI-Hotspot. The Problem with this was that the Transformer does not automatically connect to the phone when enabling bluetooth.
So i wrote an App that does exactly this. It reacts on the bluetooth_state_change broadcast and then connects to the phone. The App uses some hidden Api-Calls but seems to work well.
Since i don't have a market account yet, i thought it would be a good idea to upload it here. I attached the apk and the source.
Please comment!
EDIT: Seems to work with any bluetooth device, see posts below
EDIT2: This version is outdated. Please search "Bluetooth auto connect" by refluxa in Google play. I can't post any links here yet. Also it only works with Honeycomb or higher.

THANK YOU!!!!
This is very nice. I tried it and it works perfectly with my GNex, which I've basically been using constantly because wifi sucks. BT tether is the way to go.

Hey thanks. Works great. I use it in combination with bluetooth headset Jabra bt3030. So simple yet so effective.
Maybe you should rename the thread. It's not only good for tethering as you can see
Hi,
sorry for my late answer. Thank you for the comments. I'm glad to hear that it is useful for you, even though i don't know why it works with headsets. I explicitly select the Bluetooth PAN (Personal Area Network) Profile.
Also i registered a developer account now and i think i will publish it there in the next days.
Looks like a very promising app. I tried it, but it crashes periodically on my AT&T Galaxy Note when I turn bluetooth on. Also, the bluetooth connected devices appear disabled - they are a very light color on a white background.
I'd love to help with this, let me know if you need more info or assistance.
Please see updated first post. You will have to wait until Samsung brings your device to ics.
Hello, I have SGS2 with ICS ROM. I have installed Bluetooth Auto Connect from Google Play because my phone doesn't want to connect to my BT car hands free automatically (manual connect always works). The auto connect app shows the name of my hansfree but the selection is unfortunately disabled. Can you please enable also other BT profiles (not only PAN) in your application? It can be very useful for another BT devices too.
Is there any way this app could allow for multiple device selection and have it recognize a "friendly name?" (if you rename the device in your BT panel)
This works great for me in my car to connect my BT, but I have a second transceiver that I use in my house that is identical, so it has the same name, and the software seems to randomly pick one of the two when BT powers up.
Allowing checkboxes for a multiple device selection to start up the BT connections would probably be enough for me, as then "random" will get both every time.
I just updated the app. Now it has support for Tasker / Locale and Multiple Devices!

I just found this great app trough a post on the Tasker forum and installed it immediate.
I noticed that if you manually start the app it will ask you to enable BT, but is you use the Tasker plugin it doesn't enable BT.
Of course you can enable BT using Tasker before using the plugin, it would be nice if the plugin had an optin to enable BT.
Beside that, thanks for this great app/plugin.

Hello,
i will have to ponder on that because tasker / locale developers say that functionality that is already offered by their programs should not be reimplemented in plugins. On the other hand i also see that some users have problems because they do not know that they have to enable bluetooth first. I think i will add a little notice at least.
Have you got a guide (or a link to one) to setup bluetooth tether (HTC One X to Transformer) so I can use this app?
Do you need root on the phone to do it?
Hello, sorry but i just overlooked your post. In general its a good idea to do the whole stuff manually once. First you have to pair your devices and enable bluetooth tethering on the phone (On my non-Sense-Phone: Settings -> More... (in Wireless & Networks Section) -> Tethering and mobile Hotspot). Then on the tablet open the configuration dialog using the button with the three controllers beside the entry of your phone in the bluetooth dialog. Select "use for internet connection". Go back to the previous menu and click on the entry. Now you should be able to use the phones internet connection. This is the point where the apps come into play: The auto tether app enables bluetooth tethering on the phone after reboot (is disabled automatically) and the auto connection app simply initiates the bluetooth connection when enabling bluetooth.
Fantastic app! So useful in conjunction with tasker
I was wondering if there were plans to add a complementary feature: i.e. the possibility to autodisconnect a specific BT device. I'm looking for an app that allows me to do that via tasker to be able to toggle my BT headset connection between my phone and my tablet. I don't think any app can do that yet?
Hello,
it has disconnect functionality now (Version 0.6)!

Many thanks for this addition!!
Hello, thank you for your app.
Unfortunately it crashes to me. I set it up so to connect to a joypad (that is, the iPega controller mentioned here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2033780 ).
When I turn bluetooth on, "unfortunately the application has died unexpectedly".
Just reporting.
Thank you very much

[Q] True Walkie Talkie app (No data connection required, so don't suggest Tikl)

(Read this before you suggest Tikl)
Hey guys,
I was wondering if there was any app in development that let me use my phone as a real Walkie Talkie.
What I mean is, instead of using my network connection or accessing an external access point, is the any app that lets me use the wifi module in my phone, connect to another phone and transmit audio data between the phones?
I'll make it simple.
> Say I am part of a major event where my buddies and I using cameras to record from different angles.
>Instead of using Walkie Talkies to contact each other, can we turn on an app that lets uses my wifi module to connect to his module and relay voice messages between both the phones?
Services like Tickl are dependent on the strength of the ISP. I am looking for an app that allows me to create a secure connection based on the hardware already present on the phone.
If I can use my phone to connect to the internet, and in fact use it to create a Wifi Hotspot, why cant I use it to do something measly as say call for free in a large room or any event where it isn't feasible to shout?
http://www.crocko.com/903E0046F8BC4EC796E0A3A033C82DC7/Intercom_1.0.rar
it is for real walkie no internet but need hardware.
Craig's Walky Talky!
ok, this does not use voip, no servers, no Internet required!
It has 2 modes
1st mode (default on run) it simply uses your wifi modem to relay your voice data, so everyone using the app on the same wifi network can hear each other!
2nd mode "enable ap" this turns your phone into a wifi router, once enabled on 1 device.. on the other android device click wifi and scan for the ap from the first device..
This mode allows you to talk out in the open anywhere anyplace using just 2 or more android devices just like a real walky talky!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.walkytalky.craigs.walkytalky
you have a range issue with relying on a wifi chip only.
google : " smart your walkie talkie "
Range issues with wifi chip?
Well yes... it's a mobile phone, not a walky talky!

Look for PMR - Walkie Talkie WiFi on Google Play . I used it on my 2 phones: Galaxy S1 and A5. This app uses WiFi connection.
You can talk to one or many persons. Range 100-150 meters, probably depends on phone.
Zello works great. It runs on internet or Wifi all you have to do is download and make an account then find each other by user name. You can make a group channel with multiple contacts or talk individually.

[Q] Qustion for Networking experts

Hi
I am trying to connect to my office wifi via proxy server.
Scenario 1: I am using Samsung Bada (wave 1), connected to the internet successfully and also any applications that require an internet connection including Samsung's app store.
While, connecting via open networks like home wifi and other friends' wifi also worked without any issue.
Scenario 2: Now I also have an android based Galaxy pocket: even after entering all the required proxy setting as mentioned above, I can access websites via browser but cannot access samsung's app store, google's play store, skype, sipdroid etc.,
I know it is nothing to do with the network administration as I am still accessing via my samsung wave but not via android. Please help me in identifying what I am missing. Is there anything like a network profile I need to assign for these applications?
thanks
S
Figured out the solution
Sometimes it is pathetic to notice that I didn't receive a single suggestion after I posted my question above. This is not how it used to be when we had smartphones that were just running windows long time ago.
There were lot of suggestions that comes up within a few minutes of posting, now after the invent of android and so many devices we have so many members but knowledge sharing has decreased considerably as each person is busy with solving their own issues.
Well, let me come back to the point - All that I needed to do was to run an app like 'proxydroid' or 'auto proxy lite' from one of our members from xda-developers to solve this issue. In order, to run these apps the device needed to be rooted. I rooted and installed this app and from that instance I am able to make all my apps including skype, google app market and what not all can access internet from my corporate wifi.
However, I noticed that only one application never succeeded this trick - that app is a Voip/SIP application called 'Pronto dialer' which throws a message 'unknown error occurred'. It works fine in an open wifi like at home etc., I am suspecting the proxy setting in the office network clashes with the proxy setting in the dialer...dont know what it is. Anyway I am glad and relieved that I was able to solve 90% of the issue.
Hope the above will be useful for someone with similar limitation from corporate wifi.

Need help with geo restricted stream app

I need some help regarding a TV streaming app which is supposed to work only in UK.
It worked well When I was there (for the first time On a college trip). When I try to open it in USA, it gives an error that it is not available in this region.
So I tried Two things,
First, I used VYBR VPN and connected to the servers in UK. However the app continue to give me the same error.
Secondly I use the fake GPS app and set my location to UK. However despite using the fake GPS app as well as the VPN, the app itself somehow gets to know that it is not in UK and it does not run. Although when I have the fake GPS location on, and connected to the VPN, and if I opened the Google maps, it shows that I am in UK. But still somehow the app knows that I am not.
Any ideas?
Thank you very much.

How to access Router home page

Hello anyone can tell me please how do I access the router home page Google Chrome doesn't work , I think only old version of Firefox work ? Can anyone advice any app that I can access that page from ?
,What router, from what ISP? This will not be a universal issue,
I have a problem like that at the moment. I'm a Spectrum customer, with one of their Ubee routers. I had to get it replaced with a new model. The new ome cannot be accessed from my desktop, regardless of the browser I use. It can only be accessed from an app on a mobile devise. I'm having age related vision issues, and can't use the mobile app because I can't see it well enough. I need to put the router config page on the 23" monitor on my desktop PC to be able to make changes. I can't do so. I may need to get a third party router that does not impose that limitation.
