So, I have a Samsung Galaxy note 3 SM-n900 (ha3g) running LOS 14.1 and every time I open the Galaxy wearable app it says that my phone has been modified in an unauthorized way which is true. I've read a lot of posts saying I should try changing my manufacturer to anything other than Samsung in build.prop but every time I do that the phone just stops recognizing the Sim card ,Also I've seen other posts saying that I should install magisk but every time I try to flash magisk it fails saying unknown img format. Any one knows any other way I could pair my gear with my phone without flashing back to stock?

I used to. But now I just removed all root apps because all I wanna do is use my Galaxy gear without having to flash back to stock and nothing is working so i'm gonna keep using my unrooted lineage until I'm bored or until there's a problem or something .then I'mma flash back to stock or maybe a Samsung based rom .if you happen to have a solution to my problem without having to change the rom It would be amazing.

Hi!
I am installing CM from my phone's sd card, because my laptop never show the connectivity of my phone. Maybe a cable issue, but I don't know why. Someone told me that you can not connect GT-I8552 via USB cable.
OK! I have rooted my phone, and busybox is installed. I have downloaded CM v11 for Samsung Galaxy Premier, as this was the phone having configuration closer to my phone.
So, I installed ROM Installer, and it asked me to locate the zip file on sdcard. I did that, and finally clicked the install button, and that displayed a message for reboot in recovery mode. I clicked OK! My phone rebooted, and a screen came with the logo of android. Now, there were some option like wipe all data, reboot. Installed from SD card. I choose SD card and but it says no file here.
Although it displayed me a message on the main recovery screen that Multi CSC successful.
What could be the problem here, any idea?
I'm assuming that you rooted your phone using the CWM method.
The first problem is that you should install it directly through CWM (recovery), these programs like the one you used don't work very well with your device. I don't trust them, but this is my opinion.
The second problem is that you are trying to install CM of another phone. You shouldn't do this. Seriously. Unless you are willing to get a nice paperweight to use at office...

OK! If no, what should I do then? I mean I need to update it to v4.4. Is there any legal ROM for GT- I8552 by other Custom ROM developers?

Hi!
Thanks for the response. Well, yeah! I guess there is only one fine-working ROM for GT-I8552, and that is by Bionic Monkey. So I guess I will install that. But I have a USB cable connectivity issue. My laptop never show the connectivity of cell phone. Do you have any idea about that?
Does you system has "samsung usb drivers" if not please install it and then try to connect it.
Here is the link: http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/MOB...es-15270.shtml
or you can install kies
Here is the link : http://www.samsung.com/in/support/us...tware/KIES/JSP
if this not the issue, then may be it's due to corrupted rom or drivers, try same as above uninstall drivers and kies and re-install them, if not worked may be issue with rom.
Hello!
I'm 99% sure it's impossible but I need to ask because I know there are people more experienced than me. Thing is, I got Samsung Gear Fit that was broken from beginning (I guess) because it couldn't update with Samsung Gear Manager (it was rebooting before end of update, always). My SGS5 was rooted at this time (simple Towelroot, KNOX is on 0x0).
Is it possible, that root on my phone is cause of it or it was just a defective piece from beginning?

Thanks for the reply! I already sent my SGF to warranty. Before that, I tried different versions of manager and download mode isn't working sadly (I can't even turn it off! It just came back to life in few secs, no matter what).
I was just curious if root on my phone could be a cause here... Even if I highly doubt it.

My GS5 is rooted and my SGF works great.
I had to use the exploit by wanam to get my Gear Fit and GS5 working together. The privacy settings on the GS5 make a rooted phone ans the HealthServices/Privacy combat each other. I might be a little late in answering this, but there is a way to get root and S Health working.

Hey guys, so for a while I've had an S4 (I9505) and my YouTube subs/viewers want to see custom ROMS on it. So I used Kingoroot to try and get root access and it seemed to work (used terminal sim to check) and then I connected the phone to PC, put it in download mode and launched Odin to flash a new ROM (it was on 4.4 stock with no OTA update available to 5.0 for some reason?). Anyway long story short I got my settings so that it would delete all data before flashing. I go to flash and it fails early on due to the fact it can't write (or something along those lines). And I need help :c
Write protection is on and I have no ROM to boot into, nor a custom recovery. So I really need your guys' help :c
Please help me get it on some kind of working ROM :C
(rewards are awesome points and shoutout on 5.6k sub phone channel?)

I believe that is the google play edition... TWRP can be found here.
https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxys4googleedition.html
Also stock firmware can be found here to flash with Odin to get you going.
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s4/GT-I9505/
Flash the stock firmware first and then flash the TWRP and make a backup.

I've tried to root my s7 edge. It didn't work so i installed a custom rom from sammobile.
My knowledge of rooting is not so good. But on the internet i watched several video's on youtube how to root my s7 edge. I followed every step but everytime i finished rooting the Phone won't start.
Only the samsunglogo appears and nothing happened. I waited for 3 hours but it won't work. So i downloaded the custom rom (Netherlands phn) and installed this using odin.
That works but some of my apps won't work anymore. For example samsung health, when i will use health i get the message that the software won't work during new rules of protection and it will not work with rooted phones.
So i installed an app for checking my root and it says that my Phone isn't rooted. AFter that i tried a factory reset.....won't work. Stil the same problems.
What can i do to bring the Phone back to the factorysettings?

Hello. I am new to the Forum. I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S9+ and would like to know what is the best stable root our there? What options are out there to save up battery life, delete unwanted applications and so on. I am a Apple user and I am here to learn about Android, rooting and other types of tips and tricks.
Thank you.
Just read and read this forum because rooting and custom rom specific to your device type. Just remember:
1. Custom recovery (TWRP) then backup EFS immediately. Copy somewhere either PC or cloud, this is your imei. Without imei, no call and sms. Then you can flash whatever custom rom that match your device.
2. Do not flash anything that're not for your device specifically. Always check and recheck G965f or G9650 or G960.
3. Upgrade or downgrade version should be on official. 8.0 to 8.1 should flash official 8.0 -> official 8.1 -> custom 8.1. Some may result blank imei. If you've backup EFS, relax, just flash last rom you remember with your imei intact then restore EFS.
These are the basic rules. Backup EFS, device type check, version match.
Why do you think you need to root? I mean, coming from iPhone, the S9+ is going to do so much more than the Apple. There's very little need to root in 2019.
Make sure you do your research fully, rooting trips Knox and will result in some apps not working (you can hide the root from the apps do they work, but knox is a physical switch so cannot revert once done).
I would recommend reading up on SABS as this allows you to block ads and disable unwanted apps/ services without rooting.

I want to experience its full performance. I have played with it and honestly the camera is bad, battery drains so much faster than the iPhone, the ram always goes low and so on. I want to get rid of all the bloatware, save battery so it lasts for at least a day and just enjoy the phone.

Exactly, i haven't rooted my phone since the nexus 5 and i really don't miss it. There are ways of blocking ad's with knox and disabling apps/services with regular apps.
