How have you enabled cam2api?
Have you used the 2 magisk modules? The first one is for Pie, the second one is a front cam fix

What do you mean: not working. Can you run the camera application from the programs menu?

i need help with my galaxy mega "i9200" after i install the kitkat rom I9200XXUDNE4 the screen is not working at all even the back and menu button
i tried to install the rom again but it's same thing the screen is not working.
and i can't take the phone to the warranty because the phone it was rooted and it an year and half old
so please help....

I have figured this out and made a video on how to fix this issue follow all steps sorry for the poor video quality was my first one lol

It's not that simple. You'll need to learn a lot about coding in order to be anywhere close to doing it. It's not copy pasting stuff here and there or installing from a backup.

Ok, seeing that you are pretty serious about this, contact this guy as he has experience in porting Mi A2 stock camera to custom roms

Since you're a noob, I can't think of anything easier than this for you
Go through the ports which are already available (like Mi A2) (must be xiaomi)
See what files the dev used to get the camera working on non-miui roms
To give you rough idea there will be xiaomi framework , some xmls, libs etc.
Try replicating those exact files from your stock firmware and create a flashable zip or directly paste em into root
Also try contacting the dev of that camera and see if he agrees to help you out !
Ask him if you face any trouble throughout.
Ignore people who are discouraging,

Hello there. I'm using the latest gcam for Poco that works fine, in the Celso Acevedo's page, but you have to enable camera2api using root.
Awesome news! On mi8 lite ofc? I shall try it soon but as my mi8 lite as only 1 month I'll wait a little before voiding warranty! Moreover it's been years since last time I've rooted any device so kinda rusty on all that

No you cannot because the hardware has different specifications and the model number is embedded in the motherboard
There is no way you can change it

I installed it sir.
At first impression it is good but the problem is it doesnt have any camera and when i try to install from somewhere else the screen comes black and camera doesnt open means it does not work.
Plz sir help give me some patches or other files so that after installing them i can use camera
