Hello,
my next phone will be the K20 Pro / 9T Pro. I need the 9T Pro because of the LTE B20, but it's only available with 6/128GB.
Does anyone know, if a 8/256GB Version is planned or will be released soon?
Thank you.

Just be sure it is not a k20 pro and already flashed with global rom as in this case u won't have B20
I believe you are in Germany as they have B20 LTE
As far as I know there is no 256 version for the 9T pro
And all the 256 versions out there are k20 pro with global roms
Try to contact xiaomi to be sure before purchase

Look at the Hong Kong Xiaomi site. There you will indeed see a global Mi 9T Pro with 8/256 GB. These have been on sale for a month or more now. There are a number of people on these forums that have bought them from eGlobalCentral. Sometimes the shipping has been slow, but when they arrive they are genuine Mi 9T Pro phones with 8/256 GB from Hong Kong.

I suggest you do a little research, before making statements like that...
Apologies guys for such a statement
My intention was good and wanted to help
May I ask some questions to the eglobal central phone to the guys that already got it from there?
Has it definitely B20?
What charger is included in delivery?
Is the (simple) standard case included?
Thanks in advance

It sure has B20 (I'm on it, all the time) as I already stated, in another thread.
Standard white ugly 18w charger. UK plug with adapter to 2-pin. Fast charge.
Simple black faux leather standard wallet case, in the option I linked to, above.

Since the price difference is so small, I'd never even consider purchasing the second best.
But to each, his own. I realize many people are on a budget, but in my case it was worth it.

It seems legit, since band 20 is 800Mhz. If you go for the Mi 9T Pro,
it will have the correct frequencies for Europe, including band 20.
Mine has the untouched global ROM, which is Euro compatible.
The Redm K20 Pro lacks band 20, Nfc, Netflix compatibility etc.
If I'm mistaken in any way, feel free to correct me on this!

Just check the 3G/4G bands it can handle, and I think you should go.
Just purchased an LeEco from China, and I don't see how it could have been different from a local purchase, excepted that they shipped an adaptor for the power supply...

Sorry I cannot help on Xiaomi, definately not an expert, while I'm considering getting my hand on it some day for a test!
Along with a lot of you I was hoping Xiaomi would release the global version of the Redmi K20 Pro/Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro on Wednesday, June 12th, along with the release of the global version of the Xiaomi Mi 9T in Europe. As we know it didn't happen. I live in the United States so need the global version of these phones as they have more frequency bands opened up. Earlier today I was reading comments on the GSMArena website mentioning delays as to when that may happen. I can't verify any of this, but beside the editorial comments, it sounds like it's coming from someone who knows (or maybe a competitor). Here are the comments from TechNews:
12 Jun 2019
Guys I have a bad news for you.
Apparently, someone in Xiaomi revealed that Redmi K20 pro or the Mi 9T pro won't be launch globally, not in Jun nor July. Why? Because they ran out of stock. Qualcomm cannot meet with the heavy demand of phone manufacturers that wants their SD855 chips, and this affect Xiaomi that relies on high number of sales to cover for profit. This all happened because Xiaomi sold over 200 000 units of K20 pro on the 1st day of their launch and now, they only have few left.. manufacturing more to meet the global demand would require 2 months at least and thats why the probability of this k20 pro to launch globally in July is slim.. if there is any, there would only be the lowest version, 6gb ram and 64/128gb rom.
I know it sucks. So for those who cannot wait, just buy something else. K20 pro is not worth the wait.
------------------------------------
Further info for this, Xiaomi Malaysia just revealed that the earliest they can launch the Mi 9T Pro is late August. Xiaomi India also confirms that they will only bring in the Redmi K20 during July launch, and sadly no K20 pro for India. Expected launch of k20 pro is also late August for india. The only choice for those who can't wait for 2 months, is to buy the bloatware-full China version K20 pro with only a few number of units left available.. Then again, I suggest you guys look at other phones. By the time k20 pro or the Mi 9T pro launch globally, there will be a number of other flagship killer that surpass it's specs. Just like what happened to poco f1. I'm not trying to ruin xiaomi, but this is just the truth.. this is how they play with the market.. they hold the global launch, and only few weeks after the launch, they will bring in another better specd smartphone, again, only exclusive for China, and continue doing the same thing, over and over...

You don't have to guess. Scroll down the page and set the Network Compatibility to Canada to see your carrier and you'll know. Same for other countries. https://www.kimovil.com/en/where-to-buy-xiaomi-redmi-k20-pro-8gb-256gb-cn I have AT&T in the US which just has 1 band available. The global Xiaomi Mi 9T has 3 bands.
BTW I'd get that same phone too if the global version was the same price. But it may cost close to $100 USD more than the Chinese version you bought. Even the Xiaomi Mi 9T global version of the Redmi K20 for the 6GB/128GB will be $416 USD. While the Chinese version sells for $354 USD.
Kinda skeptical about this, because obviously Mi prepared ample stock here in China, for all variants and all colors. Unlike past Xiaomi flagships, ever since its release, most of the variants are outright available for purchase everyday on every platform (save for 8+256 on certain sites), even now. To me it looks like we're way past the shortage of SD855 and Xiaomi is ready to deliver 24/7.

Yeah but when you say "most of the variants are available for purchase every day" that doesn't include a global version, which hasn't been released, and is the one I need for extra frequency bands. I don't know about the chip shortage. Sounds possible as they've already sold a ton of these phones. But I'll just wait and see how things play out. Hopefully the global version, if and when it's released, will be affordable. If it's in the $500 + USD range I certainly won't refer to it as a "flagship killer".

I had the pocophone F1 which had similar bands and the necessary missing LTE bands . But it worked flawlessly on Rogers /Telus with full LTE coverage and no loss in speeds. I travelled to remote areas with no loss in connectivity.
If pocophone F1 was fine , I don't see no reason why k20 pro will perform any worse.

Thanks for sharing that. That's interesting. I just looked up your info for both phones and actually the connectivity is the same with the B7 (2600) band the one available in Canada for your carrier. Please keep us updated on how that goes. I had bought a Redmi Note 7 Pro from a Chinese seller on eBay but ended up returning it by forwarding it to someone else he sold it too as I was afraid it wouldn't work because of the band restrictions. And returning things to China from the US is a major expensive hassle. I wish this would become available on Amazon. They have a 30 day full refund policy as long as the sale is fulfilled by them. That way if it didn't work I could just return it. But they never did carry the Redmi Note 7 Pro as it wasn't the global version, so they may not carry this one either. We'll see what happens. Has anyone here ever returned anything to AliExpress or any of the companies selling this now? How did the return go? Thanks.

Unfortunately AliExpress doesn't return phones unless they are DOA. Even than there is not guarantee the sellers will take phone back.
After doing a bit of research I see that my network in Ireland is only giving me 3g hspa+ speeds because it is s smaller network that only uses one of the country s bigger networks Three Ireland,I see the k20 pro support the bands I need,
I'm still a bit hesitant,I should have no problem rite, without band 20,Having never imported a phone before,
What else should I be looking for ?

I couldn't tell you for sure. But I did look this up too and Three Ireland gets band B3 (1800) 4G with this phone. But that's the only band. Yea,seems the global is not happening or at least not any time soon,The 9T is appealing also, but am certainly used to my flagship performance at this stage and there would be a bit of a downgrade there,my current 6T has 6/128,Am only interested in the xiaomi for the cameras mostly, bigger battery, better fingerprint. Would certainly like the extra ram)storage 8/256 if possible,
Anyway, think I might hold off for a few months to see what happens, maybe the Poco f2 will be similar to the k20 pro. Will wait and see

Just looking at the 3 major mobile networks of Ireland, they all use a good mix of LTE bands 1, 3, 8 and 20. Only band 20 is missing from the K20 Pro, so I'd be very surprised if you had issues with connectivity. Bands 8 and 20 are relatively low frequency bands, these are more 'robust' and can travel longer distances and penetrate walls better, but they have lower bandwidth, so have slower speeds. They are generally used, when a network has a mix of low and high frequency bands, in more rural areas or to give extra coverage in heavily built areas where some substantial buildings could stop line of sight to many areas. If band 20 was the only low frequency band available to you, then you might have trouble out in the sticks, but having band 8 should keep you covered in all areas.

Thanks for the reply, but seems where I am rural Ireland base 20 is important somewhat but I'm not sure I'm not it would affect me too much,I would be happy now buying the phone based on it not having base 20,
I've since been looking at other videos and my new concern is being stuck with a Chinese rom filled with bloat. Im quite happy with my 6T now in terms of software and I know I can rely on OTAs and future Android versions,I'm not one for tinkering my phone's much these days and need the phone to be useable at all times. Think being stuck on the Chinese rom might drive me crazy,I know you can remove the bloat fairly easily but am worried about OTAs and support which I think is important for any phone

Xiaomi.eu should have a global ROM out soon, if it's not already. They remove all bloat and adds and make MIUI more bearable. A few months down the line and you'll see more alternative ROMS. I'm sure LineageOS will have an official build along the way, they have nightly builds with OTA.
What about k20 pro in germany?
In that website, I can see that K20 pro supports 4 out of 6 bands in Germany. (B20 and B32 are missing in the device). Will this be a problem in germany?

Xiaomi.eu are an unofficial group of MIUI fans who create global versions of MIUI. They take the stock Chinese MIUI ROMS, remove bloat and unnecessary Chinese apps, add multiple languages and a whole host of other customizations and release it to the world. It is all done by a dedicated development team off volunteers. It's not actually done by Xiaomi, although I believe Xiaomi do collaborate with them occasionally.

A few months too late, really strange move from Xiaomi : why didn't they launch it at the same time as the "Mi 9T"?? Plus, rebranding from Redmi to Xiaomi in Europe is a bit strange imho. Do they think we in Europe don't read the worldwide news? Additionally, they won't release the 8/256 version.
Btw, I wonder what will happen to the Mi 9 with a price that close...the real difference is the camera which seems better (to be honest even my Mi 8 takes better pics vs. K20 Pro).
Also I think its a little bit priced.
I'm not sure if I'll buy, long time waiting to be this difference.

You can import it from China (6/64 version) around 315 euros tax free and shipping included, and they're gonna sell it here for 430 euros? It will have a Global ROM for sure, lets see if its the same one as the India ROM (POCO launcher included) or not but still...
Btw i think if Europeans want to wait for a new phone they should wait for the Mi Mix 4. The 3rd was a bit of a flop because specs were too close to the Mi 8 which was great, lighter and cheaper but the Mix 4 specs will be spectacular according to rumors. Wait and see!

Yes but not above 599 euros I think, right? Otherwise Xiaomi will lose this segment to Huawei/ Samsung...

K20 Pro).

A lot of people doesn't want to import, and also the main problem is the warranty, people prefer to have a local store where they can go if the phone have an issue.
But anyway, for my part I will buy it on Aliexpress soon
If you want to push further the comparison, in the official Xiaomi China store, the 6+128gb is at +-290€
Any idea if we can flash mi 9t pro firmware on K20 pro and keep bootloader locked? Dont think its possible, just wondering.

Xiaomi has already mentioned that if the phone comes with China firmware, it will be locked on China firmware. Only when the bootloader is unlocked it can be flashed to global firmware. This is the same with phones that come with global firmware

Thanks for confirming. Thats a bad policy. As long as the firmware is official, they should allow us to lock bootloader and use find device feature.

You shouldn't be buying phones that weren't meant for your country anyways. Xiaomi wants their chinese phones to be only sold in China and the global variants for outside of China.

As far as I can tell there has been no official launch of the phone, so nothing has been confirmed either way. There was the small announcement last week that it will be available in the Benelux region from the 20th, but it gave no specifics. Since then all we're seeing is the phone suddenly appearing for sale in various European websites. So far there doesn't appear to be any 8GB model being sold anywhere.
Even though the Mi 9 had 8/128 and 8/256 options in China, they were never made available on the global version, so it wouldn't be surprising if it turns out to be the same with this one.

only release in three asian countries , but i am sure there will be resellers
Last year, with the Mi9 I payed 449€ for 6/128GB Mi9, few weeks after China release and 2 months later you can get it for 399€, cheap as in China (they start with 382€).
This year Xiaomi start with 799€ but only for EU.
EU
Mi10 8/128GB 799€
Mi10 8/256GB 899€
China
Mi10 8/128GB 525€
Mi10 8/256GB 565€
Mi10 12/256GB 620€
Hong Kong
Mi10 8/256GB 590€
In Hong Kong you also get Global Version with FDD-LTE 800MHz, full Google support and UK charger but also only single nano sim, no dual sim and only the two big versions with 256GB, no 128GB version.
EU
Mi10 Pro 8/256GB 999€
China
Mi10 Pro 8/256GB 660€
Mi10 Pro 12/256GB 725€
Mi10 Pro 12/512GB 790€
Hong Kong
Mi10 Pro 8/256GB 708€
Just for me it is a rip off from Xiaomi. They talk about "we need to invest more for bla bla bla" but if I need to pay almost 300€ more, compare to China and get less (only single sim and still no microSD) than it is a rip off. Also, for just 128GB more, from 128GB to 256GB (both 8GB RAM) I need to pay 100€ more (about 110$).
What you think about that? I am done with Xiaomi cuz for that price I can get more. A P40 Pro with 8/256GB, with wireless headphones and watch (worth over 200€) I can get on pre-order for 999€, best camera and best battery life, a S20+ with the best display is already drop down to 829€.

I couldn't justify the cost, not when a Mi Note 10 is almost a third of the price!
Xiaomi UK had it on sale for £379

Mi Note 10 aka CC9 Pro start with 2799 RMB I think, so 350€ in China and here they try it with 549€, drop down to 449€ but still nobody care, cuz mid.range for that price.

Yeah it's not as good as the Mi 10 pro.
Although with a similar camera, large battery and 3.5 jack, it's a good fit for me at the price.

The Mi Note 10 is great value. I have no issues with the processor and don't care if it's mid range or whatever.
The Mi Note 10 has a better camera array than the Mi 10, at a much lower price.
The Mi 10 Pro has a slightly better camera array than the Mi Note 10, but it's priced too high for a Xiaomi, which has rather dismal software support, with even security updates being delivered from time to time. At the Pro price, I'd go for a Samsung, Apple or a Pixel.
The price is good and fair for mi10 but not in EU.
Also they remove dualsim and r. wireless charging drop from 10W to 5W.

There are other differences in the firmware. I have a China MiMix3. If I get a Mi 10, it'll be the Chinese Pro version running xiaomi.eu (I also need LTE band 12).
I bought mi10pro 256gb from ebay for $490 it was saying global version and seller has %99 positive rating. Do you think its china version? Why do you think price was cheaper ? Its my first android phone honestly i dont know what to look for? Thank you
I guess it's Chinese version with unlocked bootloader and global firmware flashed. In this case you'll run into issues because of the missing Lte bands most likely...

No pro version yet. And it's still not released in the UK.
Great find dude
Hi. Does anyone know if there is a global version of the x50 pro with band 20?
Really struggling to find one.
Thanks
Yes, most countries except china and some other countries sold the X50PRO with b20. For example Hongkong seller "wondamobile". You can order it for ~680€ there. A bit to expensive for me. Hope to get it about 500 € in future. If anyone other knew's other adresses for order the b20 global version, please post it here.
Thanks, was unsure. I've seen it on bludiode for cheaper, but possibility of vat charges as they come from China.. think it was £517 for the 256gb version
I ideally want the pro + but they have no band 20
