Hi, I used To use Hidden settings for miui to force 4G and it works very well but only in sim 1. Is there any way or app to force 4G in sim 2? I have an SD in slot 1, so I'm looking to make it work in SIM 2.

I have Orange provide HTC Mozart, updated to latest update (7390). Recently got the unlocking code from Orange, entered it, works OK.
However, I noticed that with Orange SIM it receive both 3G and 2G signals but with any other operator SIM it only receive 3G signals, NO 2G signals.
Any idea what's wrong?
are you worried because your phone gets the best signal?! probably other operators provide better 3G signal and your phone automatically chooses the 3G.. I think you can choose not to receive 3G signal in the mobile network settings..
Hi, no I tested it with 3G signal off but the phone is not catching any 2G signal except orange 2G.
is there any way entering the code again?
may i need to enter code manually for the 2G carriers?

GO into the HTC APPS into the marketplace u Will find it
yes u Will choose the carrier & if u change for an another Sim carrier then u Will have to launch This app again(Just One time for the App cofigure your network)
if u keep the same sim carrier it Will select the network forever
I found "Connection Setup" in HTC Apps and tried that, seems like it's the same you're referring to. I tried it but no luck. I think the unlock code only unlock the SIM but not the carriers.
I'm overseas and using a different SIM card. Currently running LiquidSmooth but the SIM card reading (or whatever) at the bottom of the status bar still reads "Verizon Wireless" and my signal bar is grey. Any help? Thx

Sounds like the SIM is either bad or not installed correctly... Grab any of the dozen or so SIM Info apps from the Play Store and see if it is recognized. You did go into the *#*#4636#*#*, then select Phone Informaton, scroll down to Set preferred network type, and select LTE/GSM/CDMA auto (PRL) or go into Settings->More->Mobile Networks->Network Mode and select Global or GSM/WCDMA?

Did all that. As far as SIM info is concerned, it shows the IMEI but doesn't show phone number and says data is not active. I can receive voice just fine though. Also network is wrong as it's still showing VZW

Also, when was on infection, had to install the GSM patch on top of the already GSM-enabled rom for the SIM to be properly recognized and get data on it
It's either two of these things, you're not on the global radio or you didn't reboot when you finished the setup.( I have T-Mobile, when I reboot I get data and full signal bars)

everything works fine on sense roms, but not aosp or aokp
hmmm.. I have no clue sorry... I never had that problem. Try the *#*#4636#*#* - Phone Information and then select gsm only and reboot. APNs shouldn't have anything to do with getting signal.
I'm in Japan so only 3G will work here, I intend to have 2x 3G sims in the phone, one local sim and one sim I will only switch to as I will be roaming it for SMS for one time passwords etc.,
so sim1/sim2 on/off is fine. (I don't want to keep ejecting sims and loosing one.)
I noticed a lot of these dual sim phones are only 3G in slot1 but not slot2
i.e. "Samsung Grand Duos GT-I9082". HTC/Sony/LG dual sim phones.
I know "Samsung Core Duos GT-I8260" can select 3G in slot 1/2
So how about the "Samsung Wins/Grand Quattro GT- I8552"? If owners could let me know thanks.
The Samsung website/manuals don't really have much info on this.
Thanks.
yes you can use 3g on both slots but you cannot choose both 3g at the same time. only one at a time.

My friend .. works in 2 slots ...
For the function of 3G SIM 1
Configuration Management> SIM card> Network Data Service> SIM1
To use the SIM 1: Settings> More Settings> Mobile networks \ SIM1> Band Selection> WCDMA Only. 3G
To use the SIM 2: Settings> More Settings> Mobile networks \ SIM2> Band Selection> GSM only. 2G
To function in 3G SIM 2
Configuration Management> SIM card> Network Data Service> SIM2
To use the SIM 2: Settings> More Settings> Mobile networks \ SIM2> Band Selection> WCDMA Only. 3G
To use the SIM 1: Settings> More Settings> Mobile networks \ SIM1> Band Selection> GSM only. 2G
As already mentioned does not work 2 Slots as 3G, is a 3G and 2G in another ...
Qaundo for use both always have to switch, as the steps above.
Good luck friend!
thanks
thanks for the info

Guys, i finally found solution for our Moto G network data issue,
Previously i was using Xperia C where i can select 2g(GSM), 3G( WCDMA) , 3G+2G option.
But in our Moto G - 2G, 3G+2G option is there but complete 3G (WCDMA) is missing this means
If we select 3G, our phone will Select 2G when our phone finds full 2G network, it will switch to 3G only when it finds full network
"Network" yup this is solution
Network app just download this from play store and enjoy complete full
3G support :good:

When I receive a call my phone fails to auto switch to 3g(4g is only for data). Is there any way to force it to switch to 2g instead of 3g? My phone is elephone p9000
is VoLTE available?

No one can make calls through the 4G network unless your operator have implemented Voice over LTE (volte). It is normal for your phone to switch to 3G when you want to make a call. This is not an issue of that phone.
Also let me add that the phone will connect automatically to the network with the strongest signal when you trying to make a call, there are a few apps which allow you to select the desired network manually, but you will have to change it back every time.
Hope that I was helpfull
I know that but the problem is that it doesn't auto switch to 3g
I can't receive any calls either when i am on 4G.
When people are trying to call me, it goes straight to voice mail.
Pretty sure this is a phone related issue as this issue has been mentioned a couple of times.
I hope this can be fixed asap
Try using slot 2 for SIM card, the one prepared only for SIM, not in double slot for SIM and SD card, and then enable 4g and try to call your phone, this works for me.

Yea. my bad I was testing it with 4g enabled, but the connection was in that moment on 3g and it worked, every time I catch 4g it wont receive calls.
Use the folowing in phone dial:

You are in engineer mode now. Turn off the 4G and leave only 2G and 3G (auto). I hope the ELE fix this bug soon ... ... ...

I use Eragon Rom and most of the time it's working for me. But sometimes it doesn't work. I don't know what's the problem or what I have to do, that it works everytime.
P.S. I didn't try the solution with DHCO.
Doesn't 3 use 4g for what they call HD calling?
