Vanir is now in Beta for the MondrianWiFi. We could use some feedback on how it is doing. Currently, we forked crpalmer's device repos and kernel. He deserves some props for pioneering the field for these tabs.
Currently all MondrianWiFi builds can be found in the nightly section for both Vanir and Commotio

Installed Vanir Test Rom + Nova and my first impression is, compaired with Unofficial CyanogenMod 11.0 for Tab Pro 8.4 WiFi, Vanir is laggy/slow and not so snappy/speedy as U CM. No other issues found for the moment. I´m back to to CM waiting for Vanir Nightlys to test.

Any thread using DevDB will 'suffer' from this issue.
See this post for reference.
The OP should probably adjust the thread title accordingly, as that will really be the best way to signify which device the ROM supports.
nice rom
Running this with slimgapps latest minimal package and its working great (was only laggy on first boot this rom is more or less as fast as cm11 imo). Seems you are maintaining this rom for alot of different models, would like to see some optimizations for this specific tablet!
EDIT: Said it was laggy without trying the rom out for long, it feels alot smoother then the cm11 builds I have been using for the most part however, it isnt as snappy when handling medium to heavier loads did a test on epic citedal on ultra high scored 30.6fps, stock scored 24fps, cm11 scored 33.6fps (this is all tested whit default settings nothing special turned off or on) Since benchmarks aren't always the same i retried a few times for a to check consistency and found the variation to be +-.07fps. Though this rom did experience some mighty lag on first boot has been fine since. Can't say I find the boot logo for this rom appealing though. I look forward to performance improvements and optimizations with newer builds!
I like this rom, in particular the customization that's built in - similar to Cataclysm in the amount of "cool, don't need Xposed to do that, either"
The most recent nightly I was able to find suffers from the video player bug that was introduced to CM around 5/21, and I noticed that it looks as if the minimum cpu speed is locking at 1400 mhz, another issue that a few of the CMs from that time period had.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52828804&postcount=146
Am I missing something, or did the mondrian get pulled out of the nightly update stream?
I tried reverting to 5/19 or so, and wifi won't come up....
Thanks for reenabling the build! I accidentally dirty flashed it over cm11 instead of wiping. It booted but was pretty laggy. Later when I have time I'll install it properly (but right now I'm trying a dirty flash of the current cm11 nightly as an experiment.)
Just a "Bump".
These rom's for the T320 are running smooth and should be getting more attention.

Guess this ROM is not for me though
CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.4 (KitKat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.
What are Nightly builds? Auto compiled builds of the latest CyanogenMod source from github. This version change each night and aren't officialy supported. If you find bugs/issues you can/must discuss here (do not submit nightlies bug on CyanogenMod issue tracker).
All bug reports that don't meet this conditions will be ignored:
You have the kernel provided in the zip file
You made a clean flash and didn't restore anything
You made a detailed review of the problem
You provide a logcat in a .txt file (Search internet)
You provide dmesg or last_kmsg if it is a kernel panic (Search internet)
What's working :
Booting
RIL and Mobile Data
Dual-Sim
Storages (Internal and External)
Notification Led
Flashlight
Sound
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth
GPS
Tethering (BT, Wi-Fi, USB)
Sensors
Video playback
Camera
Browser
What's not working :
NFC (causes instability)
Fm Radio
Cpu Governors SmartassV2 and H3 causing instability
Other stuff that is not here
I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING CM CAMERA (it can stuck and you need to restart); USE OpenCamera INSTEAD!!!
Care with volume. Lower until no cracking sound is present
Instructions :
Reboot to the latest TWRP/CWM/Philz
Make a full wipe (/system, /data, /cache, /dalvik-cache, /internal storage)
Flash the CM11 zip
Flash the four_button.zip (if you have dual)
Make factory reset
Reboot to system
Flash Gapps (if you want) => you need to test which work. Flash pico please or you will have crashes. You need to test this. FLASH ONLY AFTER FIRST BOOT
You can also flash Gapps before booting (after CM11) but if you know how to skip initialization screen (the clockwise press trick). If you don't know what I am talking about, don't ask use the flash after first boot method.
You will not have a setup wizard because I am using INIT to set device model. Please use settings to set up your stuff.

Good work
Thank you for this final effort. And thank you for the TWRP 2.8.6.0(doesn't flip the screen on reboot anymore).
I'll be sure to try your CM11 rom once I'm out of university for the summer.
This is amazing. Been waiting for CM11 all my life. Good luck in this and in all your future projects neutrondev!

I am using chromium webview not classic and genlock has some problems. It is a genlock problem that is also related to webview when I will have time I will investigate it
By the way, and it came to me just now, is it possible for you to include the following options?
- turn on/off the annoying "safe headset volume" message
- turn on/off camera shutter sound
- turn on/off heptic feedback(vibration on unlock/hold home key/input pin code when turning the device on)
- custom power off and restart option: reboot/reboot to recovery/reboot to boodloader
Those would be very comfortable for most of us, if not for everyone. Currently on the purified stock v2(KK 4.4.2) i have to use:
- GravityBox(Xposed) for headset volume message and custom restart options
- Open Camera(from play store) because it has an option to mute shutter sound
- Spare Parts to remove heptic feedback(although you can uninstall the app and still have heptic feedback disabled)
My whole point is to have the above mentioned options native to the ROM itself without using third party apps/frameworks.

Haptic feedback in stock KitKat need to edit build.prop, in CyanogenMod you can enable and disable in sound settings and lock screen settings. Advanced restart mode in developer options (I think only CyanogenMod, not sure stock roms)

You will see when, don't ask for eta.
Build will arrive soon. The thing is that I want to use Chromium Webview (it is new starting from kitkat). Before kitkat classic webview was used. I can use an external classic but I want to update the stuff to work with Chromium one.
Well just some updates. Found time to work today. Camera got fully fixed (Resume now works). I adverted GPS working. Well trying to get a signal it could not lock. That is also fixed now. I just switched to Classic Web View since exams are comming and I see no problems. We can count browser also fixed. Maybe tomorrow is a good day to release an RC already. Will test until then. Peace out.

What exactly are nightly builds? I searched a lot but still not sure how that will work with this rom. Sorry if I'm too dumb and thanks in advance!
Edit: And another question, no battery drain at the moment? (Is not listed in known issues so I guess is fixed or never wasn't there)

The Prehistory of UltimateROM
About a month ago I decided to set out to improve the performance of my phone with a more optimized build. I had already begun building OmniROM 5.1.1 with a some set of optimizations based on the work of OptiPop Team, and shortly after some the major issues on Marshmallow on our devices were resolved, this idea to create an ultimatively optimized AOSP-based ROM has born.
Why Should You Use UltimateROM? What makes it different?!
Honestly, I don't necessarily care, how many users or downloads my ROM has. Most importantly, and what I do care about is people liking and enjoying their phone; if you try UltimateROM and you like it, great! I'm glad you enjoy it. If you don't, maybe leave some feedback on how I can improve it, and go try something else in the meantime. If you'd like to know, what I've done that makes this ROM unique, here is a list:
Highly optimized. similar to Linaro(and in many ways, better than), build, resulting in a smoother Android
Compeletely developed in the open, everything I do is right on my GitHub for anybody to use and improve upon.
A unique kernel which attempts to balance features, stability, and of course, performance
Almost the sources, excluding apps, the SystemUI and some more, are based on CyanogenMod ones, which means there are more fixes and support for our legacy devices (even though CyanogenMod itself doesn't really support any devices like our, anyway google doesn't even do that minimal support as CM Team does)
Disabled SELinux. Looking backward on how many issues SELinux was causing and still causing for people that use it on MM, it seems to me a ridiculuos how google promotes and implements it everywhere, without any proof of improving anything rather than making worse.
Current Information
Everything I do with UltimateROM I always test personally on my phone, but anyway...
Code:
#include <disclaimer.h>
/*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear
* war, or the current economic crisis caused by you following these
* directions. YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and
* if you point your finger at me for messing up your device, I will
* laugh at you.
*/
Please also note that currently I don't test installation with the Gapps. So far installation is only tested as dualboot ROM - though, the uploaded build is an usual one, - please let me know if the uploaded build has issues with booting, even though normally this should not happen.
What's working:
RIL (phone/SMS/3G)
Video (playback & recording)
Audio (playback & recording)
Wi-fi
Bluetooth
Camera (Front and rear)
2D/3D HW Acceleration
USB, MTP, ADB
all native tethers (Wifi/BT/USB)
external storage
What's not
Formatting SDcard as adoptable storage will screw it up (don't format / encrypt)
MTP bug with doubled folders in sdcard root folder
ROM features:
Dark Marshmallow Theme
long volume press to skip track
PA Pie control
SlimRecents / improved AOSP recents
Re-added task manager
Navigation Bar
System UI tuner
expanded desktop
storages are swapped by default
extended reboot menu
customizable button backlight settings
Viper4Android FX
superuser embedded
Download
UltimateROM
Installation
Before installation, make sure that you have enough free space on partition /system. AT LEAST 540 Mb is required for this build if installing WITHOUT any Gapps. If you don't have enough space, follow repartition manual. (at your own responsibility for any kind of possible damage. Be sure to measure twice and cut once!). There is a CWM ReParted zip that was tested by @Culateralligator.
wipe cache
make sure you're using TWRP 2.8.6.0. All the below is only tested on this recovery. Philz is not supported by this ROM and not planned to in the near future. Note that TWRP from the linked topic requires preinstalled chrono kernel.
install ROM first
install latest chrono kernel
install gapps (optional), if you do so, make sure you are not running of space on /system ( about GApps )

Take some time to try this ROM, and now there are some issues
1.there are lost 4 opentype fonts (compared with Sergeyl's CM13)(JP,KR,SC,TC-Regular),so Simplified Chinese display likes XXX
2.V4A needs to works with busybox, lol...
But ROM works smooth

These are removed, because of overly sized ROM. Are these fonts only that support these languages? If so, I'll of course re-add them. I was comparing this ROM to my OmniROM and haven't found these fonts, so I thought they can be safely removed.

I guess, it's common 6.0.x problem, as busybox has got partially replaced by toolbox and toybox from AOSP, thus making some apps confused.

Yeah, these 4 fonts only support Janpanese,Korean,Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese,(lastest outdated AOSP 6.0 has same problem...)Maybe OmniROM has different font files

Did you format your sdcard as adoptable(internal) storage? This is something you actually shouldn't do and it's explicitly mentioned in the issues list as it doesn't work properly on our devices. SDcard should normally work without formatting (in case of M - which also performs encrypting of it), thanks to @SergeyL work. Now you have to format sdcard from Windows / *nix / whatever other OS; if even this won't help, we'll probably need a volunteer to test it. Personally for me sdcard works, but you may want to try SergeyL's CM13 to see if it's working there.
WiFi is unstable, lost connection from time to time, Web Browser is crashing. And any of gapps do not work - do not fit in system. Yes, i readed first post, i have orginally partitioned internal card and do not want touch it. SergeyL's CM13 work with smallest gapps

I can confirm Web Browser is unstable.
I haven't those WiFi problems yet, but I'm testing for little time.
What do you mean with smallest GApps?
I've tried no repartition + SergeyL GApps and I get ERROR CODE 70 -not enough system space-.

Changelog
fixed APN editor crash
added removed fonts back
removed Gallery, Calendar and PrintSpooler to free up some space
Viper4Android driver post-install (no need to install manually anymore)
Fixed busybox related issues
Might fix GApps not being fitted on /system issue in the future, but I'll need a volunteer to test the new partition scheme. If anyone knows how to modify CWM repartition scheme zip and create a new one with ~700-750Mb on /system, it would be even much great, because right now I have absolutely no time for this.
Enjoy!
Something weird... I've connected phone to PC 5-6 times.
Last 2 times appears sdcard1 with 1,09GB (real internal sd).
However, I have access to files of real external sd. But when I try to paste a file, it says I have no space for it.
Succesfully installed gapps removed printspooler webbrowser gallery calendar clock and 1 more thing and i found 48 mb gapps

Indeed, it seems that I have misapplied one fix to the vold binary. Does this issue also appear on CM13?
P.s. it's possible that vold from CM13 will also work, because UltimateROM use same sources as CM. Can anyone try replacing /system/bin/vold and check if it helps?

Hey, great rom. It's super fast and lean.
Few questions.
How do I get my kodi build to auto load into kodi on start. I've added the kodi.zip into the media folder from your 7.1.2 rom, but i'm assuming it needs a trigger for this rom?
Also, the boot animation is SUPER loud. Is there a way to turn off the sound, remove it or replace it?
Cheers

in /system/etc get the bootvideo
rename it bootvideo.mp4
remove the audio with whatever program you desire on pc, rename back to bootvideo, place back in system/etc, reboot
As for kodi, you can download the latest kodi, i use kodi 18, i havent messed around with extensions or addons
Also thanks for the feedback
@simonchunk Link for the boot video with no sound, download here
Just place it as Ricky has said above in system/etc, overwrite existing file, reboot and should be no sound.
Thanks guys ?
Just to be clear with my kodi question, I want it to load a certain build on first boot. I akready know how to load kodi and other apps.
I've seen the stock boxes do this and I've found a kodi.zip in the 'media' folder of the 7.1.2 rom. The zip contains a build. Dies anyone know how to get it to load on first boot?

Another question...is it possible to put a bunch of APK's i always use in a folder or something to be installed 'automagiccaly' or is that possible with Aroma later on?
So far so good! #goodwork #readyfortesting
---------- Post added at 10:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:00 PM ----------
Okay...after some minutes i noticed the following:
*It's fast!!!
* Google Play services are out of date
* Google Play still wants you to accept agreements every time you start it up
* Google Play still starts an update every time you start it up (could be services related)
* Almost no apps installed (no browser/kodi etc). And yes, I waited aprrox 7 minutes after first boot like before.
I presume it is to keep the ROM as clean as possible? But if so, after you click an icon you should be able to select an app you installed yourself maybe? Cause even after I install Chrome, browser button on home-screen says: app isn't installed
* Changing Clock in Screensaver Settings from Digital to Analogue does not work. (I know, not mportant at all)
* Netflix not possible to install from PlayStore (was not possible before also). Maybe easy to fix if device name is changed?
*Maybe Developer Mode should be enabled by default? (to use USBdebugging/Unknown sources)
* Did I mentioned already that it is blazing fast?
* I don't use WiFi but it seems to work just fine
That's it for starters....so no big things at all, a very good score for a first release!!!
Thanks!

This is a full Note8 port with android version 9.0 based on HadesRomV12.0 By @corsicanu

Read the instructions and the F.A.Q Before installing the rom or posting a reply.
You are not allowed to use this base, if you want to make rom, "DIY"
Any sort of File Kanging will be reported without hesitation.
If you like this rom and appreciate my efforts, Hit the Thanks button, and consider a donation
V5.1 Notes
This is a minor update to resolve a bunch of reported errors and ones that were discovered after the release, they only addresses the bugs / changes in the changelog, this does not touch camera or anything else. this is mostly to fix networking and kernel issues reported in V5. also some minor improvements. as mentioned before, this remains an EOL version. i dont plan on rebasing to the March update, by the time im done with it and with testing, April will be out
V5.0 Notes
Here we are again, with another major release, what initially started as couple bug fixes ended up being its own fully fledged ROM. with tons of fixes and improvements to make this the ultimate Pie update for this device. and perhaps the Last. i can see no way at the moment of improving upon this release, which means my efforts hopefully will be focused towards Q if it ends up being viable and i find motivation to do so. id like to give a big shoutout to @corsicanu for his awesome V12 Base, that by itself includes a ton of improvements and id like to thank the testers for working with me on this one, its a massive ROM to say the least.
Hope you like it, and as always please read the notes and F.A.Q to understand how to use this ROM so you dont fall in issues. if you appreciate what i do here, consider donating @ Paypal
V4 Notes
Hey everyone, Finally after a long time V4 is here. ive put 10 times more effort into this compared to the previous releases. Tons were changed and the entire ROM was built up from scratch. everything rom the rom to the kernel was fully remade and improved. 30K Downloads later on V3.
Today happens to be my 22nd Birthday, and i would like to give you all a gift instead.
This Version is without a doubt the biggest ROM ive worked on to date, through development challenges, special device issues , ROM Size and tons more, it was exhausting. however
the end result makes it all worth it. testers on multiple variants / devices / configs came back positive.
While the buglist still leaves some to be desired i think this is as good as i can make it for now. maybe in the future if there was a V5 we will see it reduced.
The changelog is massive, and to summarize it, many annoying things in V2/V3 were finally resolved including the most important thing which is CALLING. US variants are finally properly supported. except the ones that use QMUX modems. maybe that will be for another day
As always, THANK YOU for being dedicated to this project. and special thanks to @DR_Amoxicillin @corsicanu @TheOGLunarixus and my testers for helping both directly and indirectly
I hope you Enjoy the ROM. if you appreciate this project consider donating @ Paypal
V3 Notes
Hey everyone, Somehow we are still standing with this project, it is as horrible as it seems, yet fun. I started this project 8 months ago to "flex" only, turns out people enjoy it including myself, Through Oreo and Pie this project has been hell to make yet i think we are at a state were we can drop the ALPHA and BETA labels of!, V3 was in active development for over 2 months (Unlike V2 where i started a month before release) This one was carefully built, and entirely from scratch (For the third time). However i understand, you guys are tired of Note7FE. and want something different, Thanks to my partner @corsicanu that is possible. He crafted one of the best feature-full roms on xda. HadesRom and with that as a base for our project, This device became something else, something amazing. and honestly better than any rom i would have made feature wise. Thanks to him and All the flagship features such as infinity wallpapers, Some S10 Features and many others are present, the aroma is PACKED with goods. This rom is around 200/300 MB larger than the previous one (which wasn't small to begin with) however i believe it is worth it. Me and [MENTION=7098450]kill-switch[MENTION] and my testers spent alot of time perfecting it, Now we support every variant that uses Exynos7420 besides china variants, those are to come later. the US variants of the S6E+ And Note 5 are supported too. I will be making a dedicated S6 thread aswell
While i am 100% sure not all users will have the same experience, i believe the vast majority will enjoy it, As always this rom is NOT for everyone, if you want a stock camera, this aint it chief. no matter how much we want it, it is just not gonna happen any time soon if ever, thats just the nature of developing a rom that is 2 major versions beyond samsung. if you dont mind the limitations mentioned below, Enjoy it as much as possible.
And as always, if you appreciate this project and want to support us , press thanks, share your opinions and help the people in this thread who are struggling. I wont be available 24/7 to do so.
You can also help us purchase more cocaine to continue development by donating me Here or @corsicanu here or @kill-switch here or @lunarixus Here
V1/V2 Notes :
So. 5 months ago i posted this ROM. big mistake, it means i have to maintain it, which i suck at. after 2 rebases and finishing V2 twice. OneUI happened for some reason god knows why, but yeah. This ROM is BETA AF. there is alot of crap that needs to be fixed besides the general bugs we had in oreo. give or take, if you are adventurous. go ahead and flash it, if not. dont B*itch in the thread about it and flash another ROM. This ROM is NOT for average ROM users. it is for those who want to be on the bleeding edge.. it wont come out of BETA until the bug list becomes shorter. This ROM is OFFICIALLY SUPPORTED ONLY on the NOTE 5 International variants. its the one i have, the one i can test personally. it will BOOT on N5/S6/S6E And S6E+ and work well relatively speaking if you bother to read the F.A.Q. Korean and US variants are also supported for all those models via Aroma options so take care. however Note 5 US variants might not work. you can try. S6/S6E support is very BETA so use with a grain of salt, a big one. read the f.a.q for tips on how to make the experience suck less.
Eventually when you discover a new Bug that shouldn't be there, DO NOT SEND ME MATLOGS. CATLOGS or whatever. Follow the guide up there on How to properly send logs. otherwise i wont care less about your post. very simple. Remember that this port is NOT supped to be possible. we should not be running oneUI, but the stars aligned in our favor. And please there is no need to tell me to fix XYZ. if its listed in bugs or was reported. im on it.
So. TLDR; This may or may not be your daily rom, it depends on who you are. if you want oneUI, this is the price. if not, there are plenty of other ROMs based on Nougat that will work right. so use them instead and let the thread be in peace.
I sincerely hope the people who end up using this rom have fun, its a fun experience, ive been using it for the past month. and its refreshing.
Old releases (Booreo)
Hey Note 5 Community, This is my first project for this device, one of many to come. many of you might know me from my Note4 projects, i have decided to purchase the note5 in order to provide for this community quality ROMs , in hopes that maybe one day everyone here will be using an Oreo based port, instead of living on nougat that samsung left us with.
Why N7FE and not N8 S9 or any newer port ? Simply said, it is too early for me and the current state of oreo. there is some important stuff that needs ironing out before introducing more bugs. N7FE Struck a great balance between a stable port, and a feature rich one. i have also thrown in alot of additional stuff you can check below.
Support for other variants will come in the future, i choose to support this small amount due to time constraints.
RULES OF POSTING : READ everything before commenting, And especially the install steps, the rom has been tested thoroughly for a long time, so if you have an critical issue like not booting or no sim, you missed the instructions, posts that are irrelevant to this project will be ignored(Constructive criticism is welcomed). If you do face a new bug however, dont just say "hey bug here" provide more information, and a LOGCAT, bug reports without logcats will most likely be ignored.

--Front camera only records well at 720P
--Videos recorded will be 24~30FPS
-Selfies : Long press cam icon > select selfie
--This will switch to front camera
--To switch to main > long press icon > select auto
Few notes about the samsung camera, it seems that on the S6 its not very stable. so the best way to lunch selfie is :
1) Long press camera icon > Selfie
2) if it FCs, just tap the camera icon again and DONT long press to pick selfie
Then to switch to back camera long press and select Auto, you should not face any FCs there
Floyd V4.0 / V5.0 F.A.Q
Q : No Simcard being detected
A : Disable / remove SIMLOCK From another device or ROM
Q : Games are Laggy/Pix-elated/Stutter/sucks/crashes
A :
1- settings > advanced features > gamebooter > turn it off
2- in twrp mount system then use file manager to delete system/app/GameOptimizingService
i forgot to remove this in V4 and it causes ALOT of issues with games (pix-elated graphics , lag , weird stretches etc)
Q : Device is running too hot
A : The best way to go about this is to follow @skywoker guide here : XDA you should still play around with the voltages to find what is most stable for you
Q : Whatsapp web QR not working
A : Better and newer workaround : Here
Old workaround :
For those, who have problems when trying to use Whatsapp Web:
1. Go to Developer Options
2. Change the Smallest Width to 443 dp (443 works for me, try bigger or smaller value)
3. Switch to WhatsApp and scan QR Code
4. Restore Smallest Widht to 411 again

Q : Samsung camera does not turn on
A : Disable auto brightness (idk why dont ask)
Q : Some apps lose internet after a while or at first setup
A : Reboot your device or change process limit in developer options to 2 (due to wifi implementation)
Q : What is the best camera app ?
A : For back photos use samsung camera, for videos and selfies use Footej or idan gcam or unixcamera
Q : Cant lower incall volume on US variants
A : Side-effect of using AOSP HAL, use hkTweaks > MoroSound > reduce earpiece volume
Q : How to use GEARVR ?
A : Download and install GEARVR Setup from APKMIRROR
P.S : it is very laggy. in order to fix that you need to edit system/build.prop and change SM-N960F to SM-N920C
However that is likley to break BixbyVoice. and maybe other FE specific features which are unclear now
Q : how to use GameTools ?
A : Due to prop being changed to N950F to support bixby, if you want to use Gametools go to settings > apps > show system apps if needed > gametools and UNINSTALL updates
P.S : You can also disable it from auto updating from there
Q : My gallery cant sync samsung photos from Cloud
A : A common bug on oneUI roms from samsung. we are waiting for an update
Q : How to get Root ?
A : Download Magisk and MagiskManager from the Official Thread . flash magisk.zip and install the APK
Q : Can i use SView cover ?
A : Only basic support is added (enable in aroma) i have not tested it further
Q : What to do after the rom is setup ?
A : Go to samsung apps, let the phone update everything
Q : My phone does NOT boot help pls
A : Ensure you have LATEST AF bootloader and modem installed, did all the wipes, and did your house chores,
Old
-- Oreo version F.A.Q --
Camera works in apps that have their own jpeg processing, whatsapp, snapchat are some
HDR+ Might cause weird wobbbling in google camera, avoid it
For the most optimal feature set, Pick CSC instead of OMC
- In some countries OMC can lose feature sets
If you pick OMC be sure to select the RIGHT slection for simcard question at setup wizard
- Failure in doing that will keep the the popup and no simcard will work
- You can Pick CSC to avoid this or read the thread instructions
Q : Camera doesnt open (googlecam)
A : try to install manually from here
Q : Phone took alot of time to boot, and is very laggy
A : pay attention to install steps and reboot if you flashed magisk
Q : There is SIM popup that keeps coming to ask me for restart
A : you DID NOT follow the instructions, Reinstall the rom and pay attention
Q : in the first SIM question in setup wizard, language is not english, what does it say
A : The RIGHT button is what you need to press, it will factory reset the phone (not touching your internal) and setup your /EFS with an OMC file that is linked to your simcard, so the rom will auto detect your CSC just like official samsung phones
Q : I dont see any EDGE panels after installing
A : Reboot the phone
Q : How is battery Life ?
A : With some tests and some cycles, it will be better than stock due to optimzations
P.S : These patches are only needed by Floyd V5
They have been integrated into V5.1
FloydV5 - NavBar Fix : Download
- Only use if you ticked NavBar in aroma.
FloydV5 - Q Keyboard language pack : Download
- Android 10 Keyboard does not support most languages so use that zip to install them
- Make sure to open the zip and remove most of the languages you dont use, otherwise it might not install due to size
- Thanks to @yash92duster
FloydV5 - CronosKernel V5.1 : Download
- This fixes a bug where the phone will reboot once it boots up
- Only affects very limited number of devices so dont flash it unless you have that issue
P.S : These patches are only needed by Floyd V4
PATCH 1 : G92XS/L/K Audio Fix
Audio Fix for korean S6/S6E Variants
Download : Here
Download mirror: Here
PATCH 2: GPS fix
For those N5/S6/S6E/S6E+ users facing GPS issues
(Such as no lock, no GNSS FIX or no offline gps etc)
Download Fix : Here
Download mirror : Here
So far only some S6 Devices needed this
Thanks @sammomin for sending logs of the issue and testing with me
PATCH 3 : No simcard on some devices
if you dont have simcard being detected, the issue is due to SIMLOCK. so using another Nougat ROM or a different device, Remove simlock and it will work
PATCH 4 : WifiHotspot Fix
Download : GoogleDrive
Download mirror : here
This will fix WiFi hotspot "failed to obtain IP"
P.S : Dont ask me about WiFi Sharing as our hardware does not support that afaik
PATCH 5 : Snapchat
Download : GoogleDrive
Download Mirror : AFH
Snapchat banning fix and 4K Video recording (using gcam / unix cam)
Some users reported snapchat banning them, it was due to a signature verification mod, so ive removed it.
Flash noblur/blur that should be self explanatory
4K Video recording patch thanks to @Cvolton
First comment, oh, this isn't YT, anyway i'll flash this on my G920F dude

one ui v2.0 was my first entry to custom roms and i was supriced and i was so amazed by it.I used the rom for a quiet sometime and it was ok but it had so many bugs some were ok for me but after a while i tried 2 or 3 different roms that are stable and they were fine but i ws not getting the same feeling the same experience that i had with one ui rom i daily checked the thread for updates and today as the daily routine i checked the thread and wow it has been updated i was super amazed.I searched for the download links but they were not there so i thought it will take a day or two to get those but i recieved a telegram notice saying that new verison has released i rushed to the thread and downloaded it. wow it had so many options to choose ,love that. Im currently exploring it . By the way huge huge huge thanks for the developer and all the other people who made this possible . Thanks for giving a new life for this aging device.Love you guys a lot.
Rom is superb and gaming is also smooth. I have not encountered any problems as of now.. Great work done.. Thanks for giving life to our old device
Hey,
First congratulations for this, it's a really good news Pie (and especially One UI) is coming to our phones. By the way, it's really funny to see people are more hyped by a Samsung port rather than AOSP, who would have believed this couple of years ago ^^
The ROM is smooth even if the lack of HWC can be felt sometimes (freezes, etc). Everything works fine except one thing: in-call audio. Whether speakers or not, I can only hear sound for like a half of second then it mutes (the volume is at max), also switching speakers ON/OFF can produce a little freeze (the call duration counter freezes for like 4 seconds).
Except this and of course already known bugs (stock camera for example), nothing to report! I tried to force enable HWC by tweaking build.prop and the result is even better, it's very smooth I can only congratulate you and all the team behind for this work!
I come back to my original ROM since calls seems buggy but however whenever they get fixed I might switch back to it.

Interesting, we are using AOSP 9.0 Audio hals at the moment, when tested earlier this month it was a mixed bag. on some variants it works right away, and calling again would result in no audio, calling one more time will have a different result and so on, however last few tests we did it worked most of the time, it sucks to hear but not unexpected. the rom got delayed a week due to S6 only call issues.
ill see if i can figure out what is going on, maybe we can use a different hal (on V2 the N7FE port we used note7 Audio HAL and that was flawless, for some reason it just doesn't work now)
ill see what i can do, thanks for the report and kind words
Sim Card not working on S6 G920F
Thank you very much!
Genie
us
I forgot to include the US variants fix in the rom. GG myself. T/W8 only, P probably wont work , and its for S6/S6E/S6E+/N5)
N5_US is for : N920T/N920W8/N920IDK | G928T/G928W8/G928IDK (Only Note5/S6E+ US variants)
S6_US is for G920T/G920W8/G920IDK | G925T/G925W8/G925IDK (Only S6/S6E US variants)

No, he's talking about AOSP 9 Audio HAL, because some S6 users have audio issues.
Same with mine. No audio in call G920F. Also the home screen cannot be switched to night mode. Other than these rom is so good and smooth.
In call audio is fixed. Reinstalled rom with data wipe. Thanks for this very nice one ui rom.
Very Nice Rom
I just flashed rom yesterday, and its very smooth
All feature's are working, have tried resurrection remix 7 which have so many lags
good job anan
just one thing is frustrating is camera in app's (NEVER MIND)
Thanks A lot:good::good::good::good:
